Ohankaists Seize Anglynova; government-in-exile wages guerrilla war

Landerhof, Coggston (PRA): The Broadcasting Corporation of Anglynova has been able to confirm with sources on the ground that mainland Anglynova has completely fallen to the Revolutionary Socialist Party of Anglynova. The regime has renamed the nation the People's Democratic Republic of Anglynova, and it has begun enacting Ohankaist ideology.

The Revolutionary Socialist Party, aided by defectors within the Anglynovan government, bombed the Anglynovan General Assembly on the 17th of November, killing all but one of the MPs. The survivor is a confirmed defector to the RSPA. Following the blast, members of the military and the RSPA seized the capital Westforde and the second largest city, Greencove. A campaign of pillaging and burning churches, government buildings, and universities caused thousands of homes and businesses to be destroyed along with much of Anglynova's cultural heritage. Ohankaists have burned down much of Westforde, and they have begun industrializing to rebuild the city as a symbol of Ohankaism.

Thousands of people have been displaced by the conflict, mostly to the northern island of Coggston. As Ohankaists have seized control of Anglynova, an expected 20,000 people have died, including both combatants and non-combatants. The Ohankaist regime is carrying out a policy of ethnic and cultural purification that has left thousands dead or imprisoned.

The remnants of the Anglynovan government escaped to Coggston soon after the commencement of the revolution to form the Provisional Government of the Republic of Anglynova. The organization claims to be the legitimate representatives of the Anglynovan people. The organization is now funding the Anglynovan Republican Army, a rebel faction with the People's Democratic Republic of Anglynova that has commenced a guerrilla war.

The political situation in Anglynova is incredibly volatile, and the region may erupt into war. The People's Democratic Republic of Anglynova is calling to an end of fighting within the nation while the Provisional Government is calling for the Ohankaists to step down. With the Ohankaists possessing most of the military, the government, public support, and almost 100% of Anglynova's land holdings, the Ohankaists surrendering is incredibly unlikely.
