The Basics:
Fleet Staging Area One. It's right in the middle of the Alkirienid Interior Collective, closed to trading vessels, and cleared of all obstructions by patrolling Impacnadir-class dreadnoughts. Anything larger than asteroids and smaller than a star- or more expensive to pulverize- is warped or tugged gravitationally until out of the area. So it's a bit surprising when all of a sudden, out of the blue, something shows up during a joint fleet exercise.
It's a planet. One that has never been seen before-anywhere. It gives off normal readings, and a careful survey by shipboard instruments reveals relatively advanced settlements with unsettlingly familiar technology. There's a reason for that too- it's stuff the Collective used once. But not for 1500 years. Welcome to the Periphery, my friends, where logic, physics, and sanity break down. Who knows what remains?
The Rules:
I know, I know, they get repetitive. But since I want this thread to be a place where new RPers can gain experience without making everyone else pissed off. . .
1). NO threadjacking or other wars will be tolerated. It is important that this RP stay on topic. Diplomatic talks and parts of the fleet exercise involving mock battles will be fine, but take your wank wars elsewhere.
2). Following closely behind the last rule. . . I am the OP and the most powerful single force in the galaxy where this takes place, given that you all will only have a ship or two each. Obnoxious behavior will result in the removal of your vessels and characters.
3). No godmodding. The enemies in this may seem invincible, but I will run this according to plan and ridiculous distortions of all rules- both of physics and RPing- will be punished.
