Overview
The Treaty of Sion-Sirah is a political treatise designed to foster peaceful relations between its signatory states, without infringing upon the domestic policies of governance which each nation-state employs. It is a treatise born of the promise for peace in Tetrakon, without bias towards nations of differing ethnic, political or religious affiliations. All nations desirous of pledging their nations to the articles henceforth presented should respond presently with their full nation's roleplaying name along with their request to be admitted as a signatory state to the provisions enunciated by the Treaty of Sion-Sirah in solemn faith.

Preamble Principle I Principle II Principle III Principle IV Principle V Principle VI Principle VII Principle VIII Principle IX Principle X The Signatories

Preamble to the Treaty of Sion-Sirah
Under the rights and privileges endowed to all men by a just and dutiful Creator to create articles of governance by which to adjudicate sovereign authority over territorial dominions held by their hand, we the signatory states of the Treaty of Sion-Sirah do pledge in spirit and in truth to create a more perfect union of allegiance and camaraderie to one another, in times of peace and under the threat of duress, by allocating to one another the rights we see fit to bestow upon ourselves by the dispensation of principles, which shall henceforth be considered the articles by which the signatory states pledge their allegiance to one another.

Principle I
It shall be the principle aim of the signatory states who pledge their fealty to the principles contained herein to refrain themselves from engaging in an act of war against another state who shall be pledged in fealty to the principles described forthwith. Under the auspices of this formal treatise, an act of war shall hitherto be considered any act which materially or politically harms the materiel interests and intellectual property of a political entity so tied to this treatise, including—but not limited to—citizenry so defined as any naturalized body or resident alien, hard currency, physical property, or territorial dependencies which may contain a variance of degree of autonomy from the Protectorate order. Any act which infringes upon the real or intellectual property of a signatory state hereby pledged to the principles of this treaty under the promise of common law, or which infringes upon the administrative sovereignty over an internationally recognized territorial dominion shall be considered a violation of this treatise.

Principle II
It shall be of critical importance to the signatory states who have pledged their fealty to the principles contained herein to refrain themselves from knowingly engaging in any punitive or subversive act, or aiding and abetting other alliances or militant bodies—intellectually or physically—with the aims to do so against a party allied with a signatory state of this treatise shall be considered in violation of their duties to uphold the principles upon which their nations have pledged in fealty to uphold and defend honorably.

Principle III
All states which pledge in fealty to uphold the principles contained herein shall agree to lawfully negotiate any and all grievances held against an associated signatory state of this treatise in a diplomatic manner, ensuring the peaceful discussion of terms deemed pertinent to any state whereby a signatory state shall hold another state in contempt of their obligations henceforth forged by the principles to which they abide. In the event that a signatory state moves to hold another state in contempt of its obligations, a civil tribunal headed by no less than one neutral party in league with the auspices of this treaty shall mediate with the counsel of signatory states any and all disputes, so that a successful conclusion to all disputes raised be obtained expediently.

Principle IV
It shall be the stated goal of all signatory states pledged in fealty to the upholding of the principles contained herein to refrain from any punitive act, intellectually or physically which may be construed as an infringement on the commercial rights of a fellow signatory state. All signatory states shall recognize the sovereign right to self-determination entreated to all signatory states, including manners chosen in the areas of domestic governance and international finance, not withstanding the right of all nations to trade freely amongst their fellow signatory states so pledged herein to the auspices outlined by the wording of these accords.

Principle V
It shall be the stated goal of all signatory states pledged in fealty to the upholding of the principles contained herein to refrain from any punitive act, intellectually or physically which may be construed as a harmful intervention against a fellow signatory state's indisputable right to allocate any and all natural resources possessed lawfully. Such statutes may be considered to extend such protections to include a prohibition on the wanton destruction of environmental habitats held in the legal possession of fellow signatory states without the expressed permission of said state institution in a verifiable contract, standing indisputably in a court of law. This resolution shall refrain from issuing a formal opinion on the existence or causes of man-made climate change.

Principle VI
It shall be the stated goal of all signatory states pledged in fealty to the upholding of the principles contained herein to refrain from any act of aggression, discrimination, or subjugation of a citizen of a signatory state by method of criminal imprisonment on false grounds, or any deferral of rights or services allocated to resident aliens and visiting tourists. Such provisions shall include a prohibition on the unlawful seizure or requisition of flagged commercial and merchant vessels of fellow signatory states, nor the right to place any such ship and its crew under a state of duress without the due process of international maritime law as of 2012.

Principle VII
In acknowledging the necessity of all nations, irregardless of their relationship to the principles contained within this treatise to share the resources of this planet, it shall be the stated goal and military policy of all signatory states to refrain from the use of weapons of mass destruction offensively. A weapon of mass destruction shall henceforth be defined as any weapon which may cause widespread devastation and injury to both civilians and noncombatants, or which could accidentally inflict harm upon a noncombatant nation or its populace. Such weapons of mass destruction may include, but are not limited to, weapons of a biological, chemical, nuclear or radiological nature. No signatory state shall be obliged to delegate release authority over their strategic arsenal to any other signatory state of this treatise, but are obliged by the letter of the law to notify them of any launch.

Principle VIII
It shall be considered the right proper course of action for all signatory states pledged in fealty to uphold the principles of this treatise to utilize an act of war against another sovereign nation only as a final recourse when all other diplomatic measures have failed. All signatory states shall be pledged to the mutual assistance of each state in the sought-after goal of avoiding armed conflict if and when possible. This provincial agreement shall not infringe upon the sovereign, indisputable right of all signatory states to defend themselves, their people and their territory from the punitive attacks launched by other states against them.

Principle IX
No state shall be held in contempt for their failure to abide by the written terms of this treatise or to continue to hold an oath of fealty to their upholding should said state provide in written form a publicly viewable revocation of their adherence to the principles contained within this treatise. The power to enforce the provisions of this treatise shall be derived from the consent of those who are governed in part by the principles outlined presently, unless otherwise amended by the alteration or eradication of this treatise and its principle charter. It is the sovereign right of all signatory states to withdraw from the offices established.

Principle X
The ratification of this treatise shall be considered full and complete at the written agreement of a nation to pledge an oath of fealty to the principles for which it stands. At which point, said nation shall be vested with the rights and responsibilities accorded unto all signatory states from the moment of their ratification. The authority to protect and uphold this treatise is hereby divested to the signatory states unless otherwise amended. Herein marks the conclusion of the principles to be issued herein.
