The sound of war could be heard in the horizon as the mighty armies of Germany began their march
towards France.
The young men where drunk with song and excitement for they all though this was going to be the Over easy and go home quick war. How wrong they would be shown the ones who lived any ways.

Herber Jackson read the news as the Germans marched towards France. To any outsider, he was just a normal citizen- but in reality, he was the leader of the Mormon resistance group. Now might be their chance... but he would wait and see.

Ireland
1914

For too long have the British occupier raped our woman and pillaged our homeland. For hundreds of years they have repeatedly squashed any hopes of freedom for Irish men and women. For hundreds of years, they have ran our island dry, conscripting our young lads to fight their imperial wars of oppression of other peoples. But now is different, this is our island. It is OUR Emerald Island and with God's will, we will destroy the British murderers that destroy our people. Ireland shall finally have the freedom we have so long strived for. When peace fails, when begging fails, there can only be one solution...

Kyoto, Japan - Empire of the Rising Sun - 1914

The reports, though news was slow; were obvious to the Emperor as he read over them with his own eyes. The German Empire was marching to war, a war that with their allies in the United States, they could possibly win. The order was sent out, one to be followed without question, or exception. The Japanese Imperial Army would be mobilized in it's glory, along side it the Imperial Navy would join forth in the perfect timing to expand their already great nation.

The American Holdings, along with their colonies in the Pacific, would be a wonderful; opperunitinistic place to start. The Empire was mobilizing, as it did so, all of Asia shook in fear.

Powell House, Philadelphia, United States of America

President Eugene Debs was eager, no yearning for this war, for too long have the CSA and its foreign allies bullied us. But now we are ready. With our great friend Germanies help, our armies are strong, our troops determined, our nation ready to claim its rightful place. He looked north, towards British Canada, South towards the CSA, east to Britain and france, and west to the Japanese. The USA was surrounded by strong adversaries, but Debs was confident that that the USA would emerge triumphant.

"Oh my god" was all Lieutenant General Gérard Leman could say as he saw German soldiers approaching the fortifications at Liège.

After a few minutes he turned to a telegraph operator and said, "Send this message to the king; Mobilize the rest of the army, German soldiers attacking from the east."

"Sir, when the army is mobilized we shall have 550,000 at you disposal, but right now, you have to hold out with only what we can give you."

"and what can you give me now?"

"About 36,000 troops and 252 guns."

"eh, at least we have our fortifications to hold them off"

London England, 1914
The Germans had attacked France, while not their ally they were violating Belgium's neutrality! Now the British Empire was obliged to declare war on Germany, they would throw in their full support behind Belgium and France and make sure that Germany would choke from Britain's superior navy. The war was about to take a turn for the worst for Germany.

The King gathered before parliament to make a speech,( I am just giving a short excerpt).
"Because of Germany's ultimate desire to molest Belgium neutrality I must declare today that the Empire of Great Britain and all of its colonies is now in a state of war with Germany and Austria-Hungary and all other allies of said states. We must not allow this scourge on the European continent to continue!

All across Britain and its colonies the Army was called to stand by and the navies went out to sea. Posters across the Empire called for men to join up and defend your country. Over 200,000 British Army troops were sent over from Britain to France, to assist them in their fight against the Germans.

OOC: Mykola, The War hasnt started yet. The germans are still marching through Belgium and you have to Declare war with them. And France hasnt been invaded yet.

IC:
Paris, 1914
President Poincare was in his office when he heard about Germanys March through Belgium. And he knew that as soon as Belgium fell, Germany would go after France. "Sir, We have reports of a Huge German Force Moving through Belgium. They are predicted to Attack us next!" Said a Messenger who just ran through the door.
Pesident Poinclare stood up and said "Well if thats the Case get me in contact with Britian and we will discuss what is going to happen.."
At that moment the messenger took the message to the French Communications centre and Radioed British Communications and asked them of it. President Poincare knew something was up.

Postby Noders » Fri Oct 02, 2009 4:04 pm

Liège September 15

The German troops where stuck in in front of a fort in Liège all efforts to reach the fort had been smashed by relentless machine gun fire. It was time to bring in the HEAVY GUNS.

September 23

After Seven days the nine heavy guns where ready to fire.

"READY..... STEADY..... FIRE"
And with that the shells flew through the air towards the fort in front of Liège.

Paris, 23 September
President Poincare had no Replies so he was worried. He had heard of Belgium being attacked and then he got Serious. He Went to Minister of Defences office and talked to him. "Minister, we are on the edge of being invaded by Germany. Belgium is already being invaded and now it is our turn to Get involved. This is my Plan, Send in the 1st and 2nd Infantry Divisions and Help defend Belgium, Get the 9th,8th and 7th Feild Artillery Battalions and Send them to the Border between France and Germany, we will also send Army Group A to Set up a 300 Mile Trench System to defend us from the Germans. Also send Army Group B to Defend the Right flank, Army Group A will defend the Centre, Army Group C will defend the Left Flank."
The Minister of Defence, Jaque Florin was suprised and he immediately Mobilized that plan exactley the Way the President said it.

East France, Border to Germany. October 3rd
Work began on the Trenches and they were Halfway there. A superior Trench System had been set up and France was ready. an Army of 300,000 Men Defended the Frontline, Germany would throw everything they had but nothing would break this line. The men Carried Lee Enfeild Mark 2 and Vickers machine guns for the Gunners. They Artilery was set up 1 Mile from the French Frontline. 3 HQ's were set up for Each flank and The Food Supplies would last 10 Months. Medical Facilities were ready all across the Line. France was ready for anything.

A massive explosion ripped into the roof of the British Armory somewhere in Cork country, Ireland. The fire and smoke lifted into the dark skies above.

"Alright lads move!" Shouted a tall man in a tan trenchcoat, waving the Irish rebels to the building. The survivors of the blast stumbled out into the dirt lot. There the rebels mercilessly forced the British on their knees and delivered a bullet to the back of the head.

The small group ran into the building, bellowing black smoke. And out they came with arm fulls of British rifles.

They disappeared into the blackness just as fast as they emerged from it.

The Raid was a success and now the rebels had arms. The next step was to begin the war, and it's not going to be a war, it's going to be a slaughter.

The fortifications at Liège were being pounded continuously by the German heavy guns. But the Belgians were relentless in the defense of their homeland. They answered the call of the German guns with the forts main batteries. They fired their guns with great accuracy towards where the Germans set up camp. Although many of the guns had been taken out from the German guns, what remained was sufficient enough to repel a few German advances. Hopefully they Belgians could hold out long enough for reinforcements to arrive, and to give the french time to prepare for what might lay ahead.

A Message from French Couriers to Britian said.."France is going to be attacked by Germany unless the British can go to Belgium and Support them. We need England, We need the Defense of Belgium to be successful. Britian Please help, Please help."
The Message was broadcast to all British Televisions. Meanwhile on the Fontline 10,000 Reinforcements came in and Backed up the Frontline. This meant there was 35,000 French Soldiers defending the Stretch of land bordering Germany and France. General Jacque was commanding them, He was a man who Liked Aggressive and No Mercy Tactics but at times he did show his soft side but not to his enemies. The Germans were reported to not be far from the Franco-Belgium Line.

BODIES GALORE

Postby Noders » Fri Oct 02, 2009 11:55 pm

Liège

The bodies lay in piles in front of the zone in which the Belgian machine guns had complete control of.

Sergeant Zach Winegler and his squad huddled behind a pile of bodies.

One of the privates spoke a fellow named Sasha Ferguson
"Sir what do we do we can't go forward or we will die we cant go back or we will be court martialed then hanged"

Zach spoke
"Private we go forward get ready to run"

"Yes sir"

All seven men died hopelessly charging a machine gun.

Field Outpost Liège

A officer with binoculars wached as seven men broke cover and where then cut down
Behind him could be heard the bellowing of the guns and as if my a miracle a shell pierced the fort and exploded but THOSE DA*MN MACHINE GUNS kept firing.
Eventually this fort would fall but at what cost?

France-Germany Frontline, 6Th October.
"General Jacque, We have finished the Trench Line, we have s Solid Frontline and it is Impossible to Breach. We have Artillery Positions all Across the line, 1Km Apart from each other all across. We have 350,000 Infantry Across the line. We are Expecting the Germans Will attack Soon, Is there anything else you want me to do?" Said a Sergeant
"Well, Yes actually, I want you to get the New eapons from the Armory and Give one of them to 5 Men from each Company." Replied Jacque
"Yes Sir" The Sergeant Shouted
The New weapons were Chauchat Mle Light Machine Guns, They were not Infantry Weapons but for Machine gunners. But this Weapon was much more easier to Carry. Berthier rifles Were handed out to all Infantry Men on the Line because they were a strong Bolt Action wepaon that Would Cut down any German Man in one shot. The French Leaders were happy with themselves, They had such a Great and Might army but that was soon to be Proven... or Disproved.
