Somewhere in the Northern Permafrost of Ansari Empire
"Colonel, the newest shipment of infantry weapon will arrive in about five days."

"Very well then, tell my men to quickly train, our next mission wouldn't be as easy as before, there's a reason we are called 101st Elite Division." He immediately crouched as the howitzer beside him fired, the snow and ice are flying into the sky as thousands of training rounds are being fired, the operations are well-planned and of course the division had to be well-trained, one day later they will be boarding ship to simulate an amphibious assault.

[i]" Yes Sir!"

Government Channel News Report, one day after the ultianum was issued
Today, the world-famous 101st Elite Division had started an training exercise codenamed "Arctic Warfare 2015", for many years the 101st Elite Division has been trained in every aspect of specialized warfare, from jungle warfare, HALO Insertion to Mountain Warfare, while it is unusual that the Elite Division are training in an aspect that is nearly untouched by many forces around the world, the commander stated that all kind of training is nessacary for the elite division to become the best in the world.
Long live the Empire!

Task Force Antartica's Headquarter, Erainain City
The Admiral looked out from of the windows, watching the LY4A1 and LY300 being loaded onto the Wasp-Class Amphibious Assault ship, the calm waves are hitting the Hatchet Class Frigate besides it, the C-130s flying across the sky dropping box with parachute to simulate dropping supplies and soldiers onto the island chains they are about to land in, and naval crew performing maintanence on the Iowa-Class Battleship to return her to combat conditions, ready to unleash hail of shells onto the arctic islands.
"I want a list of the force that is going to take part in this operation, be quick." A soldiers handed him the list, he looked at it throughly:
12 Wasp-Class Amphibious Assault Ship
1 Iowa-Class Battleship
1 Nimitz Class Aircraft Carrier
14 Hatchet Class Frigate
3 Ohio Class Submarine
20 C-130 Hercules for dropping airborne troops
40 F-35C Lightning II
10 AH-1Z Viper
200 CH-46
30 AV-8B Harrier II
10 Lockheed AC-130 Spectre
20,000 troops from 57th Elite Division
2,000 to 3,000 various vehicle from tank to artillery to armoured trucks from 57th Elite Division
40 Zubr Class LCAC
2 EC-130H Compass Call
5 EA-6B Prowler

The admiral nodded," So we are using nearly half of our navy fleet..." looking toward the sky, hoping that the weapons for the 57th Elite Division will arrive soon and that the attack can begin as soon as possible. Unluckily for the Blackhelm Soldiers, the Ansari Empire knew nothing about the Mokan operation, so the forces that will be landing on Bellamee islands will be more then a division, not to mention that unlike the Blackhelm soldiers, the Mountaineers of Ansari Empire was much more adapted to the cold conditions in the mountains around Ansari Empire. As he thought about the situation, he received an message from the high command:

To:Admiral Rinichi
From:Headquarter
Encryption Level:Extremely High
After observing the island chain for months, we had been unable to find any signature of siginificant forces, however, we are pretty sure with the oil well on the island, they won't deploy such a small force on it, so the forces assigned to this attack won't be lowered, however, we had spotted a few RADAR stations on the island, the destruction of them prior to the night attack is vital, so we sent you a few extra electronic-warfare aircraft to assist you in this task. And we must remind you to conduct the attack during the night and during low visibility conditions, for this we supplied thermal vision googles, snow camofluage uniforms and speical breathing tools to the 57th Elite Division, your aircrafts will also receive new sensor to improve its ability to identify the target during adverse weather conditions. Good luck on your operation.

War. It was a terrible thing, but an inevitable part of human nature. Humans had fought for several millenia before and will fight for several millenia in the future. The part of war that confuses so many is how, since the modern age, it's never been restricted to one area, several centuries before soldiers armed with swords and shields marched o a single battlefield as unified unit. Now, planes traveling at supersonic speeds could be tracked by satellites hundreds of miles into desolate space.

The Monavians were pounding the Brewdomian assets, and more and more sats either self-destructed or were simply intercepted by incoming WASPS and missiles. Luckily, for The Federation, the self-destruct sats were doing their damage to enemy Sats and WAPS. About 51 Sats had been destroyed by the incoming WASPS and the Manthian ASAT strikes, while about 90 had self-destructed at an enemy target. Meanwhile, The Tungsten Rods had exited Novan Airspace and were out of tracking range, except for a single rod whose propulsion failed to activate in time and was destroyed by an incoming Manthian missile.

The shots fired by the Monavian fighter somehow missed, but the enemy fighters came sprinting in like a raging bull. A chase was occurring with the bombers, The bombers had split into mini groups and began stressing the Monavian fighters into chasing in odd loops and circles. Unfortunately for The Brewdomians, two jets who had been suffering damage from the guns were destroyed by an incoming missile, a sad end.

The fighters that had been trailing the B-2 bombers were closing in on the enemy fighters that were trying to lay waste to the bombers. The fighters greatly outnumbered the enemy, and began in formation to exact their revenge on the enemy fighters. When the first fighter was in sight a large roar was heard, the scream of a missile hunting for it's prey.

When the 750,000 Brewdomian troops armed with a large supply of ammunition and armor had arrived at The Blackhelm Base, they immediately set up camp and began preparing defenses for the attempted invasion of The Confederacy. Greenhorns were filled with tension and excitement while the hardened vets simply relaxed waiting for the orders from the top commanders.

Southern Pacific
250 km east of the Horn of Africa

The sun was shining from a bright blue sky on the aircraft carrier HIMS Siegfried as she cruised lazily along Africa's west coast. The last month of the Sixth Fleet's six-month tour had been quite eventless and blessed with unusually good weather, and the tired crews had quickly seized the opportunity to rest and improve their tans. The flight deck now also functioned as a makeshift sun deck, where all personnel not on duty were sunbathing. Security procedures were still followed, of course, the officers had made sure that the enthusiasts spread their towels and chairs well away from the actual flight operations. It was a quite idyllic picture, Admiral Heinrich Kraeger thought with a smile as he wandered across the deck, breathing in the light, salt-filled breeze. He returned a salute from a young man in nothing but shorts and sunglasses, a pilot judging by the cap which rested casually upon his black curls, and took a large step over the man's sleeping comrade, who was developing a nasty case of sunburn on his unprotected back.

He walked to the end of the flight deck and leaned over the railing, looking down at the green-blue sea as the waves splashed playfully against the ship's hull. Far away, a SH-60 Seahawk helicoptre hovered over the water on a patrol, using its powerful dipping sonar to detect any submarine which might have got through the fleet's outer ring of defences. The sight reminded him of the danger that could lurk beneath the so seemingly peaceful surface. Since hostilities had broken out between the Novan Coalition, of which his nation now was a part, and Griffincrest, the Blackhelm Conferacy and their allies, ASW operations had been stepped up heavily in case enemy submarines started targetting coalition shipping.

So far, though, the only part of the conflict they had seen was the the war in space. At nighttime, it was an awesome and frightening display. From Earth, most satellites were only tiny specks of light moving across the sky, and for several nights they had watched as several of them disappeared, blasted out of the sky by the enemy side's antisat missiles and kinetic kill vehicles. The Zaheranian satellite networks, both commercial and military, were still relatively intact since their country had not yet joined the all-out war in space, but at least one military satellite and several commercial had been put out of action by debris from destroyed satellites, and there was no reason to believe the situation would improve in the near future, not with the battle of the atmosphere as large-scale as it was.

With a sigh he took his gaze from the pleasant panorama and started to walk back towards the bridge. The five-minute break had been refreshening, but there was work to do, if the endless paper-shuffling of peace-time operations could be called that. But he was wrong. When he got back to the Combat Information Central, a communication officer was waiting for him with a message from Pacific High Command, which oversaw all operations in the Pacific Theatre. The short message read: Proceed to Paradisa Naval Station and await further orders regarding Operation Southern Dawn. Cooperate fully with Mokan forces. See attached instructions for further details. He raised an eyebrow towards the comms officer, who handed him a folder bearing the caption Secret, For Your Eyes Only. The admiral took it and started to read through the contents. By the time he got to the end of the first page, a big smile was spreading across his face. He turned to his commanding officer, who was waiting a few steps behind him.
"Captain, I want all battle stations manned and full speed towards Paradisa. All officers are to be here by sixteen hundred hours sharp for a briefing on our orders. Vacation is over, we have some GC ass to kick!"

Krooge Airforce Base
Lühesand, Southern Zaheran

With a deafening roar, a C-5 Galaxy took of from the runway and began to climb upwards, carrying with it the first elements of the 89th Airborne Division to leave for Mokastana. For the last three days, the base's personnel had worked twenty-five hour shifts, repairing broken equipment and aircraft and organising the logistics necessary to transport over ten thousand soldiers tens of thousands of kilometres. The soldiers of the 89th had begun to arrive two days earlier, flown in from their bases in the north. For them, most of the time had been spent in briefings on their target, the Bellamee Islands and the Griffincrest Corporation, jogging round the base and practising at the shooting range.

Now soldiers, equipment and supplies were being loaded into the giant C5's, large enough to swallow even the division's attack helicopters and light combat vehicles. A constant stream of planes were taking off as rapidly as time and security procedures would allow, ferrying the 89th to the forward base, La Fortaleza del Desierto in Mokastana. Together with forces from Mokastana, Katonazag and the Fegosian Union, they would form the striking force tasked with capturing the Bellamee Islands from Griffincrest. The Mokans would provide the bulk of the forces, due to their proximity to the target and heavy presence in the theatre, while Zaheran primarily would provide naval and air forces, as well as part of the light, airborne forces which would deliver the first strike against the enemy. Soon, the Griffincrest mercenaries would discover why the 89th Divisions was known as the Himmelsfaust, the Fist of Heaven.

ENCRYPTION LEVEL 7

Mokan forces are currently beginning an attempt to overrun the Island chain known as Bellamee. While we have the naval and air capacities to operate this mission Mokan forces in theatre lack the Artic training required for the invasion. In exchange for deployment of your ground forces, Mokan and Zaheranian naval and air assets will cover your landings and commence pre-emptive attacks. Full package and operation details will be delivered via aircraft tomorrow.

La Fortaleza del Desierto

In the distance a SU-47 Berkut and LY-908 ‘Warhawk’ battled it out in a free-for-all mock dogfight. While those without knowledge of aviation tactics would not recognize the fiercest of the combat the ground crews on the runways continued to make bets between the aircraft with growing anticipation. Simply because a war was going on didn’t mean that squadron rivalry had to be postponed.

While Zaheranian C5 Galaxys were brining men and supplies into Mokastana for currently classified reasons, Mokan Air Superiority and Bomber units were taking off for bases in Zaheran and Monavia as expeditionary forces. In other words land in the areas and follow any orders the commanders of the respective nations gave them. The crews and staff of the base didn’t care to know the why or hows, all they knew were their orders and that friendly faces were coming and going. The few who thought about it long enough wondered when the action is mostly eastward, why were Allied forces going westward.

The Generalissimo’s who knew what was going on sat in the control bunker of the Desert Fort organizing the best way to get the flights refueled and ready for further deployment. Changing from dry desert conditions to Antarctic conditions would play hell on any soldier. They needed a base that was much colder and closer to transfer the forces to within the coming days. Over a map of the Pacific Theatre Generalissimo Gorbechov, Villa and others discussed the ideas.

In the end it was decided to wait a few days to let the Zaheranian forces recollect themselves and move them to a forwarding base in Aqua Anu, that would get them a few thousand Km closer to the target and into non-desert climates at least.

Paradisa Naval Station

Mokan traditions, when they came up, were always recognized even if they evolved. The tradition of never saluting an officer for instance, had changed with the culture; in formal and international events Saluting was now a way to show respect. However in the field it was still a way to get beaten for disrespect and telling an officer you wish him/her dead. The new rule of thumb was, formal wear = salute, fatigues = officer’s don’t exist.

The main tradition that had not changed was the tradition of Leadership, the commander always went into battle with his men, which was why saluting was disregarded in the field. At the moment the Pacific Admiral Consuelo was on the deck of the MNS Revolución, the soon-to-be flagship of the Mokan Navy in the coming conflict getting his command room ready to run the Pacific Fleet from one ship.

“Pacific, Zaheranian fleets are inbound, on orders to head to Paradisa and await further instructions.”

“Good, send a communication to them, encrypted of course, to have them meet the fleet at Rendezvous point Omega.”

“Aye aye sir.”

600 km north of Bellamee Islands, Rendezvous Point Omega

The MNS Silent Hunter, a Sea Wolf class attack submarine, approached periscope depth to scan the area and listen for communications from command once they made it. The sea appeared quiet, which was just the way intelligence predicted it. Off in the distance two planes could be seen heading south, while the Silent Hunter did not know who they were the planes had a bit more knowledge.

The two aircraft were TU-95 bears loaded with surveillance and radar sensitive equipment. While satellites had not revealed much about the islands Pacific command was not convinced. The planes would be flying in under the cover of darkness, staying above the horizon but kilometers out scanning the coasts for any radar signatures, heat signatures, or anything else that transmitting out of the island. Heat signatures would be the backbone of the scan, thanks to a near freezing ocean and snow covered lands, anything remotely warm would show up lit like a Christmas tree.

Hopefully they would not find anything, but even more so hopefully that would mean that there was nothing to find.

Thank you for the offer of the assitanance, coincendiatally, we are also planning to attack the Bellamee ISland Chain, while we are sure that our force currently can capture the island, the casualties are going to be high for us. Our soldiers are used to cold climate, while they may not be able to perform greatly in the Blackhelm Confederacy's mainland, they are going to perform much better in arctic or mountain, currently our force is composed of:
List of equipments and personall belonging to TFA
However, the equipment for the infantries aren't completely ready yet, they had arrived a few day ago, we are currently refitting suppresor systems on the rifles. We suggest coordiating an air attack to take out vital target like RADAR, then we shall assemble a few special force teams, send them to take out whatever the enemies can use to detect us, once they are in position we will begin the attack at night, perfectly at a time with light fog. Our night vision equipments will allow us to see through the fog while they can't, which will grant us a great advantage. However, since we don't want to ruin our relation on the International Stage, exactly one minute before the air attack our emperor will issue a declaration of war against Blackhelm Confederacy, be reminded that the attack should be completed as soon as possible, since we plan to immediately redeploy th force to assist in Medieterrian thether, landing at their capital will only result in heavy causlaties since they got something called 'Sea Wall' there.

On a edge of a road, Erainain City
As usual, the roads was filled with large cargo trucks, all carrying ores and minerals mined from the rich mineral deposits in the mountain chain, they all come from the small paths among the mountains, all came from the many mine among the mountains, the Ansari Empire had been known around the world for the extremely large amount of mineral deposits, Erainain city flourished thanks to its geograpical position, it was near a river, near the sea, which made it a major trade port and the largest supply of food inside the Empire. However, what that made this time unusual is that the trucks are heading toward a different road, to the southern side of city, which was full of armament factories, and that the material contained inside the trucks isn't something that is usual to be used in armament.

Southern Erainain City
The sound of machine, laser-cutter can be heard everywhere, the smoke are rising from the pipe on the top of the factories, trucks with words like "MILITARY VEHICLE-DO NOT ENTER WITHOUT PERMISSION" are a common sight to see. After the cargo trucks unloaded their cargo, the workers begin unloading them with mechanical devices , then they are all spread across the different sectors of the factories. Finally, they are all assembled together and one more war machine is created. Hundreds of vehicle and thousands of rifle and bullet are rolling out from these factories daily, the workers don't have any idea why the order are increasing highly. Only the Highest in the government know....

FURRF Deployment Centre
Mokastana

A C-5 screeched down onto the runway in the large compound, brakes screeching as it quickly stopped, moving off the runway rapidly. Very close behind it, aircraft after aircraft of the airlifting group came gliding down, with their precious cargos. On the coast, ships fresh from the Panama canal sat at berth, a huge logistical operation unfolding around them. As Mokastana entered the war, defence assets were re-enforcing the deployment centre, to move to the garrisons and training centres in the country - and to support the Mokastana attack. The tropical sun beat down on the men of Union nationalities - Mokan ex-Jaguars, Alfegan Light Infantrymen, Soldiers of Zaheran... the mix of cultures merged into what was on paper a highly effective, multi-lateral agency for dealing with Union affairs.

Over the PA system, as men rushed supplies and themselves to-and-fro, commands were interspersed with radio broadcasts, a mix of light music and news.
"The Union has confirmed that it will be acting in an aggressive nature, against the forces of the Blackhelm Confederacy, and its combined forces of evil. The FURRF will be deployed to certain theatres to aid in the rapid resolution of the conflict."
The wash of engines made tarpaulins billow, a transport airship coming in overhead. Able to make easy work of rapidly lifted vast quantities of goods, men, and armaments, a generous donation by numerous corporations and the government of Alfegos meant the Union could afford to run a small detachment for aggressive transport. As the perfect go-between between aircraft and ships, it meant the Rapid Reaction Force could live up to its name. The craft moved in to hover over the now-unused airstrip, dropping down to ground with elegance. Crew members quickly threw down supporting lines to airfield personnel, mooring the craft to deep-set concrete pylons. With the cables nearly taught, the airship moved minimally - safe enough to start disgorging shipping-crates of equipment. At the front loading area, as the interior was efficiently emptied, military hardware started moving on, alongside supplies - two batallions of FURRF Mechanised Infantrymen, ready for what promised to be a quick and easy operation. As planes were loaded up with further equipment, bound for Mokan holdings in the pacific, men poured into the aircraft and airship, marching in lines to their vehicles and kit. A show of strength, near realisation.

Nova Regional Patrol Headquarters - Alfegos

A board sat on the wall of the control room - a small theatre-like hall, filled with operators linked to the many patrolling assets of Alfegan and Novan origin. The Patrol Headquarters had been founded as a regional project, to help spot enemy submarines in regional waters that posed a threat to Alfegos, as well as stamping down on the increasing levels of piracy. In times when Alfegos had warred with other Novan states, it had proved invaluable in giving early warning of approaching enemy assets, alongside harassment of their assets. On the board, a testiment to the system's operation - a giant map of Novan waters, covered with ever changing icons. Sea patrols, aircraft patrols, airship patrols, military convoys... everything was pictured. Weather showed up as changing colours, along with no-go zones for the numerous patrol craft - just because Nova was stable as a region did not mean there weren't grudges still running. The skies of many a nation were off limits, as were swathes of their territorial waters. And all the while, pulsating lines drew a pattern of transport routes across the region relevant to Alfegan interests.

Right now, the centre was at Amber alert - the 3rd highest alert level for them, out of the 8 different status levels. As a result, more patrols were out than was normal, following Operation Shoreguard - the plan to stop infiltration of enemy vessels into the region. On the four main extra-regional shipping routes, as well as the passages of empty sea between, a concentration of sea vessels and airships patrolled, keeping an eye out. Armed with hydrophones, sonar bombs, radio receivers and heat cameras, they had a very high chance of spotting vessels, alongside the knowledge that any incident would be followed up by massive reaction from the homeland. The generals and marshalls of the War Ministry were apparantly with itching trigger fingers, waiting to pounce on enemy vessels.

Space

The response from the Blackhelm Confederacy's ASAT and KKVs against the Carrion satellites was expected. What was unexpected was the volume. General Lajos at SATCOM Headquarters had noted the disproportionate attention they had drawn after their surprise attack, the first real defensive combat test of the technology. Although none of the 30 Carrion satellites that had been sent had escaped destruction, the results of the test were considered successful, at least in theory. The initial strike was a success, proving that a surprise first-strike could indeed work if the enemy didn't know what they were looking for and if used in the proper volume. The defensive battle against the estimated 240 KKVs and 60 ASAT missiles had been spectacular, with the Carrion satellites holding their own until their power payload ran out and they were overran. The initial analysis was reporting that in this given scenario, they had achieved a kill/loss ratio of 9 to 1. However, the successes were overshadowed by one significant factor: the monetary one. While the combat ratio had been effective, the approach in and of itself did not achieve the desired cost-to-value of enemy assets destroyed ratio. But such bold new technologies were rarely totally successful on their first operational fight with a real enemy, and require tweaking. And back in the command center under the War Department in St. Istvan, the wheels in General Lajos' head were turning with exactly what he wanted to change.

Banská AFB, HCSK

In 2008, Banská AFB had been slated to be handed over to the Reserves, along with it's eight ICBM silos and it's strategic bomber capabilities. The Zevkhay Conference had abruptly changed these plans. The base would now be given over to the Fegosian Union's Rapid Reaction Force and it's nuclear deterrent component instead.

As such, it was now going to function as the embarkment point for the HCSK Army's 32nd Airborne Division, unbeknownst to all except the command staff, on it's way to a staging point in the Pacific theater for Operation: Southern Dawn. To expedite the movement, the men and their personal gear would be moved via government-chartered Air Katonazag's 747s, while the vehicles would go by military transport. Naturally, they would be shadowed by escort fighters from the Fegosian Union nations for most of the journey.

Major General Dániel Csaba mulled over his orders as he oversaw the embarkment and watched as the first waves lumbered into the sky. His division was now officially attached to FURRF, and he would be reporting to the Mokan general upon arrival.

The war had seemed to have slowed down when the news came through that Vamp was captured by the Ralkovian’s during a diplomatic mission to oversee the future training of the Assassin Seals to be trained by the Death Guard. Rathma slowly sipped from his hot chocolate as he watched Lynperial Airfield slowly drift through a snow breeze. Jets had being neatly tucked away under the hangers, trucks were wondering from hanger to hanger doing refuels on the jets and the world had seemed to have slowed down. Rathma slumped into his chair while he lowered his hat as he started to have day dreams about his girlfriend safely home on Lynhavox Island. The thought of her warm skin made him smiled.

“Sir...” said a distance voice. The movement came closer and closer while Rathma tried to block it out of his mind.

‘When this war is over, I’m going to take some leave and spend it with her,’ he thought quietly to himself before opening his eyes and watched a soldier, no older than 19, stop in front of him. “Make it quick,”

“Defensive Islands 13, 14, 15 and 16 just picked up one jet and two Dingo’s coming towards Lynscert Island. We made contact with the aircrafts and they identified themselves as V-Q-56,” he reported as Rathma looked up at him.

“Did you get the call sign right?” demanded Rathma as he sat up in his chair.

“Correct sir...” the teenager replied. “...King Ranakin has authorised his landing but he wants Hunter’s and APC’s to be at the airfield in case it’s a trap,” he added.

“Have Lynscert Island under lock down and inform Ranakin I’ll give him an update as the landing proceeds,” ordered Rathma as the sight of APC’s and IFV’s roared through the airfield.

The airfield was alive as Hunter Personal stormed out of the APC’s and IFV’s while a company secured the terminal and ushered all non-military personal off the airport. It was strangely quiet. Rathma watched as the shadowy aircrafts started to come through the cloudy evening sky. For about a week maybe more, Vamp was held captured by the Ralkovian’s and now all of a sudden, his aircraft has just appeared out of no-where alongside their escorts. The mood was silent, the Hunter’s and Vamperial Knights steady themselves as the first Dingo landed to one side while the main aircraft landed behind it followed by the last Dingo. The screech of the tyres was the only noise the men focused on while they watched the aircraft taxi along the runway as it came them. It was strange. The mood was silent, the turrets trained on the aircrafts as the men waited for the signal to open fire. Rathma stepped forward as he watched the door silently opened and the stairs were extended. It was time. Out of the shadows of the aircraft, a man of about 6 foot five stepped out of the aircraft and onto the staircase with two more coming behind him. The Dingo Fighter pilots were already subjected by the sight of the rifles pointed at them. Rathma was stunned as the main person looked about and was stunned by the reception of the Hunters.

“Bloody hell,” he started as he pulled back his slouch hat. “I was away for a fortnight and you guys already miss me. What the hell happened?” Vamp asked.

“Sweep the aircrafts just to play safe,” ordered Rathma as a squad of Hunters boarded the jet to inspect it. He then turned to Vamp and the other two and stepped forward. “What the hell happened?”

“The Ralkovian’s reckon I’m worth 40,000 souls,” started Vamp before turning to Revan and Sherman behind him. “I made a small deal with the Ralkovians in return for our release. They want their 40,000 citizens trapped in the Vamperial Kingdom back,”

“You didn’t even buggered to talk to the Council about it?” questioned Rathma.

“I knew you guys would say no so I decided to take matters into my own hands,” he smiled as Rathma hugged him gently. As the pair parted Vamp turned to the Hunters to announce something. “When I spent my time over in Ralkovia, I learnt that BC had a thin line of allies. They were desperate for allies. They are running scared. The cowardly bastards don’t know the full might of the Coalition Forces and they will understand what’s it like to be on the receiving end of brutal attacks,” he announced as the men cheered.

2 days later...

“Citizens of the Vamperial Shadow Order, to the military personal fighting for our lives and the freedom of the world,” started Vamp as he stood on the balcony of a building to a large rally of citizens and camera crews. “In the week I’ve spend in Ralkovia, I’ve seen the fear that BC is running with. I’ve seen the cowardice from their own allies. I’ve seen the fear they have in their eyes, the fear they have whenever they see the Coalition Forces on the news,” he announced in a loud voice as everyone watched him in silence. “As of now, the Vamperial Shadow Order has only started to deploy small scale elements into the war. As of today, the might of the Vamperial Shadow Order shall be unlashed onto those who ally themselves to the oil bully. I admit, the Ralkovian’s has shown me mercy by pardoning me of death as of my favour, I shall return it. As of today, all Ralkovian citizens shall be exiled and flown back to their homeland. Because of this kindness, Ralkovia shall be spare of our wrath but should they provoke it, we won’t show mercy,” he proclaimed as the rally was over-joy to hear that the Ralkovian’s were leaving the Order. He waited for the rally to calm down. “Not only is this a happy moment to see my homeland, but I want everyone to remember those who serve on the frontlines day in and day out for the sake of the Order. I want everyone to know about our brothers in arms and our Coalition Allies that have put their lives on the line just so that we can sleep a little bit better at home,” he continued as the rally roared into cheers. It took the crowd awhile to quieten down but it eventually happened. “I ask that you support our monarch during these hard times,” he continued as King Ranakin waved at the crowd. “...I also ask you to love and cherish those around you. For when this war is over, we will celebrate peace,” he concluded as he raised his hand at the crowd as they cheered him off the stage.

Coalition Forces

The days had dragged on and on. The only excitment among the crews was the arrival of Vamp back at the homelands. It had bought morale up above normal levels as their spirit to fight had being restored. Their will to fight with their Coalition Allies had only fuelled their lust for combat and murdering the enemy forces. Admiral Kennedy and Director Wallace had just left the Vamperial Aircraft Carrier Dark Reaper and was heading towards the Lamoni Flagship where a conference of admirals and commanders were discussing about the upcoming battle. It had only be recent that a vast armada was noted to be about a days sail from their location with reinforcements after dropping off their land forces at the Vamperial Colony of Mustur. The joint taskforce containing skilled Raider Battle Fleets from the Lynion Mercenary Coperation and veteran Naval Forces from the Vamperial Navy, was a nice addition to the Coalition Forces. For now, it would seem that war just lay behind the seas.
"Indeed" Merlin replied, remaining in shadow "Emotions give people more power than they could possibly image. Emotions can turn the tide of battles with a single heroic act, help beat back even the strongest enemy. Emotions are what keeps us going in our hour of need. Hope, and trust in our friends. What Rathma did, he did because he had emotions, not because he had a lack of them"

West of Nova...

While much of Mokan Command had been set in getting Operation Southern Dawn underway, the Atlantic fleet continued to head towards Nova. They would be avoiding the bulk of Nova and from here start heading north towards Monavia. Overhead the fleet air superiority flights started as E-2D Advanced Hawkeyes flew in the air working as an early warning system against possible incoming attacks. The objective was going to be parting the fleets around Monavia, reinforcing the expeditionary forces in theatre, protecting Fegosian Union Assets in the region, and beginning operations for a counter strike. There were rumors that enemy ships may be taking advantage of the 'less' guarded western entrance to the Nova region, but no doubt anyone coming in this area would find the Red Star to be quit a surprise.

Blackhelm Confederacy, one year ago...

The man exited the plane looking annoyed and exhausted. Montana Inc had set up a few offices in Blackhelm just to have a small presence in this corner of the world and they wanted good people on the project taking off here. A small sum of $300 million had been poured into exploring and exploiting the local markets. Among the board of Montana Inc it was common knowledge that Montana Inc had once considered joining the CA, but they wanted to know what they would be getting into first. Which is why this man, known by his passport as Walter Honduras, was sent. Being an ex-MBSA operative he was hired as a security chief for the new offices, unofficially, he was in charge of a few corporate espionage operations. Nothing serious in the beginning, other then find out how much of the oil market Griffencrest really held, and how they managed to keep profits so low. Things that would be common knowledge in the coming years.

What Montana Inc and Griffencrest did not know what that this man was not ex-MBSA, but still active. His tertiary job was to make sure that Montana Inc and Griffencrest did not get to close. The government didn't want a hostile corporation like Griffencrest to gain a back door into the country, via the capitalist route, and when Mr. 'Honduras' got the job to be in charge of corperate espionage operations in BC, lots of pressure was put on him. He formed his own hand picked team of 'security specialist' and opened up shop playing the spy game reporting to more bosses then any man wanted.

Blackhelm Confederacy, three weeeks ago...

Montana Inc had sent a silent order to liquidate all assets in Blackhelm days before the declaration of war. The Fegosian Union held the governments hand and and the government held Montana's. When hostilities began to be apparent, it was obvious that they would need to liquidate what they had in region and get out fast. Montana Inc employees from Mokastana and other FU/Nova nations took the quickest flights home, while those who immigrated to BC would soon find themselves either jobless or hopeless. Mr. Honduras, in addition to the quiet folder given to him and his team by a Montana courier, had received a second set of orders. 'BEGIN PROJECT BOLIVAR.' Over the last year it had come in handy to have a few rebel contacts on hand in case Montana Inc was going out of the cities and into dangerous areas, and sometimes a good bribe to avoid certain convoys came in handy, not to say the rebels always obeyed. After all if Montana is willing to pay this much to avoid an attack, whatever they are protecting had to worth more...right?

However now these contacts would serve another use entirely. Mr. Honduras had now switched primary bosses and found himself not on a plane back to Mokastana, but on a dirt road leading to a terrorist faction that wanted government blood. Only this time instead of a corporate bribe like usual he brought the promise of external help to their cause. He hoped it would be enough to get him out alive.

Port #MIL110, Erainain City, 3 hours ago
The sound of the ship's engine can be heard, the TFA was leaving the port, heading south toward antartica. Soon, The Task Force Antartica will be landing thousands of marines on the coast of Bellamee Islands. With the promise of support from Mokanstana, the Task Force Antartica can finally stop worrying about being overwhelmed by the superior air force of the Confederacy. Now the only thing that need to do is to land their troops and take over the island, using their experience in mountain and arctic warfare against the Confederacy troops. At the same time, Admiral Rinichi was sending a message to the Mokan force...

To:Admiral Jesus Consuelo
From:Admiral Rinichi
We would like a location for our fleets to assemble in, while our air power may be small, we are able to launch air attack against their islands chain, and it will be advantageous for us to concentrate all of our air power in one attack in order to destroy whatever targets that can be found on the surface. And the landing shall be done at the same time the air attack and naval bombardment was underway.

1200km west of Blackhelm Confederacy in the Atlantic ocean, deep under the ocean, 1 hours ago.
Deep under the ocean, twelve Ohio-class submarines stopped. Their mission was to stay here and be ready to fire their payloads of Trident II missiles against the Blackhelm Confederacy targets, the Trident II missiles onboard are all armed with MIRV, ready to unleash havoc on whatever 'sea wall' the Confederacy have. One of the submarine raised to periscope depth after deciding the surrounding area was safe, observing the area before eventually submerging again to safe depth.

" Captain, there's no African ships out there."

" Great, in a few hours we should be receiving the target data from commanding center. Retarget our missiles and wait for command to fire or retreat. "

ORBAT For the submarine force:
12 Ohio-class submarine with 284 Trident II missiles all armed with eight W88 warheads. (Total warhead amount:2272)

Task Force Antartica, Now
[i]" Admiral, our position are 200km north of australia, we will resupply at a friendly outpost in Antartica area three hours later and wait for the reply[ from the Mokan force."/i]

The admiral nodded, checking the uniforms of the crews, then looked outside from the command center. The first thing he see is the wake of the Iowa-class Battleship, the only unnamed battleship in the Imperial Navy, the guns of the ship is still intact as it is sixty years before. The ship was the only surviving ship from the world war II era of the Ansari Empire. All the history talk ends here, the ship was refitted few months ago with modern guns and some extra rapid-firing 6 inch cannon to assist in the landing operation in the Bellamee Islands Chain, ready to unleash hail of shells upon the island coast.

Over the ocean

Above the otherwise placid surface of the ocean, the rage of war split the quiet, seemingly endless expanse with the sound of destruction above. By an extraordinary stroke of luck, the enemy ECM systems failed to deter a lone air-to-air missile from reaching its target, a fleeing B-2. Perhaps even more astonishing was the destruction of a second craft, caught in the explosion. Fiery fragments of wreckage, once parts of a fine bomber, now rained down upon the smooth water which made up the ocean surface, disturbing the calm which had encompassed the area only minutes before.

As the wing of fighters pursued the mini group and attempted to copy its evasive maneuvers, the pilots used the superior agility of their aircraft to turn within the radii of the rest of the mini group. After several additional moments of chasing after the enemy, however, visual contact appeared. The Brewdomians were striking back.

Turning sharply to continue pursuit of the enemy bombers, they accelerated forwards, closing in, and after decreasing the gap to less than two miles, they fired the remainder of their air-to-air missiles, before turning around. In theory, this plan would have been executed without little additional effort, but the incoming enemy fighters now presented the Monavian pilots with a reason to retreat and prevent any losses. The sight of a missile approaching immediately required a change of plans. The wing separated, each plane banking sharply and turning to avoid the missile, and executed a complete turnaround, now proceeding away from the battle scene.

The wing leader was not amused by the formidable Brewdomian display, to say the very least of his opinion of their strategy, and ordered the wing’s pilots to activate their afterburners and accelerate to full speed, in order to avoid a battle with the Brewdomian fighters until they could come closer to the cover of fixed SAM emplacements and additional fighters.

Another wing of four now picked up multiple contacts exiting the enemy’s ECM jamming range, obviously consisting of a fighter escort. One pilot reported a total of about forty fighters, although a more precise count a minute later revealed a total of eighty fighters. The thirty-five F-15s and forty-five F-22s formed a roughly equal match for forty-eight F-18s and thirty-two F-22s, albeit the technological edge in favor of the Brewdomians was due purely to having a larger force of F-22s entering the battle. Now aware of the circumstances, airbase commanders began dispatching the last of the fighters, consisting of three squadrons. The total number of Monavian aircraft being sent into action now numbered 128, and with eighty F-18s and forty-eight F-22s coming to cause trouble for the Brewdomians, the advantage of numbers was again favoring the Monavians.

The entire counterattack force changed course and prepared to meet with reinforcements within 100 miles of the airbase, and then give the Brewdomians a run for their money. Until then all they could do, with the exception of the wing closest to the Brewdomian fighters, which would inevitably pursue them until they were out of range, was wait.

Low earth orbit
Space

The Wasps and missiles had only begun to cause their fair share of damages to Brewdomian satellites. Even after destroying fifty-one targets and the loss of two dozen more to self-destructing Brewdomian satellites, about fifty of them remained. Debris from the Brewdomian satellites, as well as other destroyed Wasps and Monavian satellite losses resulted in further damages. The missiles were now approaching, their launch being timed to make their arrival occur about five minutes after the Wasps.

Additional targets were being acquired by ground tracking and radar satellites, but the latter was now suffering losses. The relatively undefended assets over Monavian airspace, or laying between the continent, S:t Therese, and the Queen Theodora Islands, were now subject to more successful Brewdomian assaults. Joining the forty or so satellites destroyed in earlier action were approximately fifty-four space assets, both military and civilian alike, bringing the total to over ninety.

While the present action was playing out, those Wasps destined for Confederate targets and missiles which trailed behind them had now finished negotiating the forward layers of Brewdomian attack satellites and similar assets. 133 Wasps (four of the 137 were lost due to impacts with debris) and 148 ASAT missiles now raced towards Blackhelm. Two missiles were diverted to locate and track the Brewdomian rod platforms, and if possible, destroy them.

Forty-nine Wasps near Brewdomian targets were still operational, and were piloted in a final wave towards enemy targets over Monavian airspace to finish the initial phase of the battle. The 378 missiles which had passed through the atmosphere were reduced to 367 by debris and Brewdomian suicide satellites, but the explosions furthered the decay of a number of large pieces of wreckage and moved some away, reducing further losses from unpredictable impacts. Now, the 367 missiles staked out Brewdomian assets all over Monavian territory and beyond.

Mokan space station Genesis
Space

While changes in international command structures which involved transferring command of units and assets from one nation’s officers to another’s, such a reassignment had taken place recently between Mokastana and Monavia. The Genesis space station, an imposing defensive platform if there ever was one, outclassed even the Monavian Aegis platform. Monavian commanders were surprised by the Mokan orders which temporarily placed the station under Monavian control, and began taking time to assess proposed courses of action for using the station against enemy assets.

The multiple lasers on board made the station more formidable than anything that the Monavians had in space, and with the exception of ground-based assets which could be used against targets in space, the Genesis station would present the enemy with greater opposition of this particular sort of technology than they were likely to have anticipated. Orders began flowing from a number of commanders to coordinate Aegis operations with the battle station, with the end result of formulating a proper response to the still-present Brewdomian threat.

Port Therese
S:t Therese Colony
Outside Nova

The city’s port facilities were being filled with an unprecedented level of activity as hundreds of tons of supplies were trucked in every hour, and at times, the total quantity of supplies being loaded onto ships exceeded this amount by considerable margins. Civil defense bunkers and household bomb shelters, the latter of which were sparse but nonetheless existed in small numbers, were in the process of being stocked with canned foods, water, and all manner of tools and sources of energy, from portable generators to batteries.

The civilian population with possession of Monavian citizenship numbered around 120,000, in addition to their Zaheranian neighbors. Workers fortified factories to resist possible attacks from the ground, and factory production was both diverted to serve the needs of the island, in order to permit it self-sufficiency for a short period of time, and converted over to wartime production. The majority of manufactured goods which the city’s citizens required were either delivered to its well-equipped port, or assembled in the city’s factories. Shortages, if any, were predicted to be brief and easily remedied.

SAM defenses across the island were being aimed into the skies, waiting for enemy reconnaissance aircraft to come within range if they ever came to the colony to carry out spy missions. While the colony’s existence was regarded as a footnote in government statistics by many Novans, and many outside the region were ignorant as to its location or purpose, the launch of fifty ASAT missiles from silos bored into the rocky ground would be enough to reveal its position to those who were looking.

Mount Talus Complex
Northern Monavia

Technicians were monitoring the tracking of orbital debris and watching the decay of many satellites, or more accurately, the shattered portions thereof. Preliminary reports led General White and a number of his aides to deliberate over the matter of how to deal with the need to reroute orbital traffic as the fragments began impeding the normal paths of assets which still remained intact.

Entering the general’s office, an aide gingerly placed a report upon the wide desk at the far end of the room, where the general was seated pouring over some notes and calculating how to reroute a number of surveillance satellites to reestablish monitoring of enemy assets once the chaos of combat had ended. He thanked the aide for handing him the paper, and then began reading it, frowning more and more as he reached the bottom of the page. Horrible! Just horrible! Rerouting nearly two hundred satellites over the next week to avoid damage. His mind swam over the thought of remedying such complications as preventing damage to orbiting Monavian assets.

Meanwhile, reports of Brewdomian losses began to trickle in, offering General White his sole consolation. Enemy losses numbered approximately 140 give or take some, and given the losses being inflicted upon Confederate orbital networks, the ration of combined Confederate-Brewdomian losses to Monavian losses neared two-to-one. The monetary aspect had yet to be considered, as that was a matter to be resolved by bureaucrats and accountants.

Over the Magna Ocean
Space

The Aegis platform was now in serious danger as Confederate KKVs continued to approach, eliminating the last of the satellites which lay between it and the enemy. The devices continued to close in, nearly overtaking it as it passed across the Magna Ocean, approaching friendlier skies. While the possibility of a reprieve still existed, its chances dwindled with every moment it remained undefended.

Monavian ASAT missiles were still about 4,000 miles away from the platform, closing in on additional targets, and hopefully there would be enough of them to mount a successful defense of the platform, or so commanders had thought. Travelling close to full speed, it had enough fuel for quite a chase, although it became apparent that as the distances between it and Confederate kill satellites decreased, the enemy had planned well; their small devices had an ample fuel supply for both acceleration and giving chase.

Száraz AFB, HCSK
SATCOM Operations Center

The single largest simultaneous launch in HCSK history had just taken place, and the icons on the BMS representing the new Carrion satellites lit up one of the screens in the command center underneath the War Department. Colonel Ćakovec noted with satisfaction how the launch was going. They had practiced with commercial satellites on numerous occasions (at discount rate) to test the process, and their hard work paid off.

The newly launched Carrion satellites had some new features. They were painted a flat black, except for the solar panels, and would be the only HCSK satellites so far to be done so. And a new module had been added that should extend the survivability: Finch missile systems. Finch missiles were used in conventional warfare as a short-range interception missile, but Dr. Csíp Körmönfont from University of St. Istvan/Nyugat, National Aerospace Science Institute had envisioned this scenario back in the 1980's and had developed a plan for defending space assets with a similar concept. Once again, the HCSK government was going to take a monetary ass-beating for not listening to this man. The new Carrion satellites were to carry a new version of the Finch missile, but one that could operate in the vacuum of space. A five-round rotary magazine of the already BMS-controlled Finch 20mm missiles was added, which would theoretically change the 9:1 kill-to-loss ratio to a 14:1 and maybe better rate. The new Carrion sats were to be deployed in defensive patterns to deter Blackhelm Confederacy, Brewdomian, or any other country's ASAT assets over the HCSK.

The enemy air fleet was within a mere eight hundred kilometers from the Blackhelm Confederacy, and yet the Confederacy would not act. Instead, they preferred to sit behind their defense rings and wait for the enemy to come to them. This was not something that sat well with the Blainesville Royal Guard, and they were determined to show their enemies that this was an alliance that was not to be trifled with.

From their new home deep in the jungles around Sacrament Air Force Base, one hundred shiny new Dassault Rafale fighters rocketed into the sky. These advanced fighters were decked out as best as Blainesville could do, with each one carrying ten MBDA Meteor missiles and a full ECM suite. These pilots were each designated to strike two airships each, allowing five of the advanced long range missiles to bear down on each of the airships. They were not targetting the capital ships of the Alfegan fleet either. In accord with CA doctrine, the plan was to shatter the smaller vessels first, working from the outer most layer in, until there was nothing left to keep the larger ships from danger.

From a distance of one hundred kilometers away, the Rafales would release their payloads into the air escorts, and then turn back and jam on the engines, racing back behind the air defense balloons of the Confederacy to protet them from any possible counter attack. In just a short time, one thousand advanced air to air missiles would be heading downrange for the Alfegans, and with alittle luck, their impact could cripple the enemy vessels to the point where they just decide to leave. This was not their war afterall, and perhaps all it would take was a little convincing for them to see that.

Aboard the AAS Solace
The Vice-Sky Marshall was not impressed as he looked at the long range RADAR projections. Filled in by the sensorcraft of the three airfleets, and his own airship's extended range RADAR, he started to see fighters moving in a typical phase 1 attack. A situation he had often encountered.
"We have a mass of fighters inbound - sensors unable to provide exact locks at this range. Targets are approximately 600km away, and closing in. We have ten minutes until expected first missile wave."
"All airships to action stations!"
An alarm sounded, crew moving from secondary tasks to their battle stations. Two men rushed past the bank of computer terminals in the command centre of the gondola, serving as the fleet's capital airship, carrying between them a crate of 23mm rounds for the autocannon. Extra crew rushed into the forward bridge, readying the airship for attack. The Vice-sky Marshall knew what was to happen next - it was a classic phase 1 encounter attack. A mass of fighters, hoping to make a breakthrough and annihilate the specialised air defence airships from range, before trying strafing runs. In addition, the ECM meant they would have difficulty in taking out the aircraft before they got in range of the MRSAM batteries. But, that had never given him a problem, especially since he doubted the pilots knew what they were doing - their doctrine was easy to expect.
"2 and 3 flotillas, move to central positions. 1 flotilla, move to diamond formation."
It was a simple matter of deploying air brakes, to move the airships quickly into a three-dimensional defensive formation, many, many cubic miles in volume. In under a minute, he watched as the airships moved into position, possibly outnumbering the enemy fighters that were swarming in. This would be simple.
"Deploy full-spectrum electronics."
The comptuer simulation whited out, before coming back online with ECCM protection to its lone broadcasts. Once the enemy aircraft entered a bubble extended miles around the formation, their communications would fail. Even before then, it meant the airfleet had melded into an apparent single RADAR signature - almost like a cloud. A missile would not have the foggiest of where to hit, presented with such a mass of inbound signals. Perfect cover, as the formation subtlely slowed down.
"Arm available VLRSAMs, and fire first volleys from Alpha taskforce in fifteen."
Peering out one of the armoured portholes, a triple-glazed panel of Oxynitride glass, he watched panels drop away from an airship escort's missile gondola, disappearing into the sea below. From it erupted clouds of smoke, as Skysinger VLRSAM missiles were thrown out by their boosters. With first stages ignited, fifteen of them hurtled away, leaving the ECM bubble. With control from their mother airships, they were quickly given the signal to automate homing. Whilst they had difficult telling untruthful ECM broadcasts from the passive RADAR reflections coming from the inbound fighters, they had no worry with single fighters - they were, after all, designed as a long-range surface-to-air missile for coastal defences of Alfegos. In such a situation, the 100kg angular fragmention warhead was designed not to take out single aircraft, but engage an entire formation. The fifteen missiles carried onwards, hurtling off.

The next phase was the counter-volley that would come from the inbound aircraft.
"All vessels, arm PDCs and hard countermeasures. Prepare damage control for incoming."
The gondola shook slightly as the autocannon unlimbered, rapidly moving into position. Automated, the high-speed bursts it could through out of 23mm rounds had a healthy chance of catching missiles not taken by other countermeasure systems. As he spoke, there came internal grumblings from deep inside the gasbags, as gas pipes seals came online, preventing gas loss whilst reducing overall mobility.

The Vice-sky marshall started his estimates. With approximately 100 fighters, give or take, they would all be armed with air-to-air missiles, as phase one encounterance attack. Not knowing the fighter specifications, he estimated a full load - possibly eight. The ECM had, for these types of attacks, a 40% rate. That left 480. The hard countermeasures would have a further 30% rate. 336 missiles. The autocannons had a 70% rate. That left about 100 missiles that would be a threat. And, with the gondola structures armoured against AAMs... he let a smile cross his face. Not even the merchant vessels would be at threat.
"1 Squadron assets, slow to surface cruising speed."
Ekranoplans were a perfect choice. Unable to be targeted by AAMs, since they were surface vessels, they could easily move at reasonable speeds through surface effect, whilst carrying vast loads. Perfect surface accompaniment. At this point, a decision had to be made. Was it worth the risk to call in support? He flicked on the coalition general channel, broadcasting. If the enemy were listening in, it might lure them into false security.

"All local coalition assets, this is 1 Exped. command - we have inbound enemy aircraft. Requesting air superiority support, over."

He had made sure as to not involve the 2nd Expeditionary airfleet - they had a different goal in mind.

Station Sentinal Alpha
Bay of Zevkhay
Alfegos

At the entrance to the vast bay of Zevkhay, vessels and the occasional ekranoplan cruised past an archipelago of tiny islands. Watching over the vast open space of the bay within, and the sea lanes outside, the islands were the perfect location for installation of parts of the Alfegos Coastal Defence network. Run by the Alfegos Coastguard, the arsenal of weapons within were easily able to deter a large invasion fleet. On the central island, a battery of 8x 160mm Type99 railguns sat in their bunkers, idle for now. Visible RADAR structures, anti-missile cannons, AA guns and bunkers contributed to a deterrent effect, with the majority of their workings buried deep below the island surfaces. Save for the small emergency station on the inner side of the island, the entire island was designed to be an absolute hell for enemy men to land on - an artificial offshore reef, formed by scrap vessels, sheltered a lagoon filled with all manner of dangers for landing craft. For parachutists, the surface of the island held so-called 'Spa'ara' - thorn trees, trailing fine wire to catch parachutists off the ground, making them easy fodder for those in bunkers. A veritable fortress, necessary for protecting the capital city from a sea attack.

In the command bunker, the headquarters of the national coastal defence network, the local commander was busy on the phoneline.
"Monavian air assets have detected inbound enemy air assets, and are requiring support."
"Location?"
"9600km NNE of our nearest ULRSAM battery - bogies are currently 200km N of Monavian assets."
"Launch authorised. 4 missiles, ASAP, search-and-destroy status."

Polinas West AA Bunker 9

Alfegos

Outside the command bunker, on the terraced face of a cliff facing eastwards, two giant canisters of missiles sat facing out to the seas. Enclosed within aluminium and plastic, four ULRSAM missiles dormant. Splinter-II air deterrent missiles, with a range of 12000km, designed to take out a squadron before it even reached Alfegos. A fear weapon, used alongside the considerable defensive emplacements built after 2005, to take out foes as they took off from their airfields in Nova, or their carriers. RADAR, provided via the Union Deterrent Network to Alfegos, was all that was needed for an initial aim. After that, the missile would take care of itself, homing in on targets not broadcasting IFF frequencies it recognised. And, when it found a target, it would decide itself on the best angle of approach, taking out the most possible enemy aircraft with a heavy high-explosive warhead.

A signal came for them to fire, from deep within the cliffside. And fire they did. The entire cliffside lit up. It was as if the sea had been set on fire, as four giant projectiles shot from their housings, before the engines ignited. A huge tongue of flame reached out licking the hillside, soon disappearing as the rockets sped up rapidly, leaving a trail of smoke. Within an hour, they would be at their target area, four hundred kilometres to the north of where the air combat was taking place, in which they would have a long time to wait around at low power for enemy aircraft fleeing.

While the swift destruction of the two B-2 bombers was a cause for mourning, it was not the time now. The Brewdomian fighter wing wanted their retribution, no matter the losses. The remaining B-2's avoided the incoming air to air missiles and proceed to head toward the nearest Confederate base. Meanwhile, The F-15's and the F-22's foresaw the rapid turn of the enemy fighters and proceeded to shadow the outnumbered enemy jets.

Some of the enemy fighters began escaping, but with the speed and quickness of the Brewdomian F-15's and F-22's who clearly out-sped the slow F-18's. Upon nearing their targets, homing missiles from every aircraft targeted the entire Monavian squadrons, and shot out in a burst, hoping to dent enemy air capabilities.

Low Earth Orbit

Space was filled with explosions, as more and more Brewdomian Satellites were downed occasionally taking out enemy targets. With the space conflict failing for the Brewdomians, they had to address a new strategy for space. Base Command had ordered 80 F-15's armed with the ASM-135 to began attacking enemy defense platforms and satellites.

In several hours, the F-15's had taken off and sped toward the upper echelons of the atmosphere, ready to turn the tide in favor of The Brewdomians. With their infared homing abilities, command had extensive faith in the missiles, and hoped a sizable portion of Monavian space assets would be able to be downed.

War had been raging on for quite a while now, and that much blood had not been shed, but everyone knew, blood would be flowing, and the sad state of war would be noticed.

The new HCSK Navy was a proud one, the first in it's nation's history. Many of the officers, warrant officers, and NCOs were transfers from the Army and Air Force, while some junior officers and junior enlisted personnel were actual "pipeline" Navy. They had all been trained by and alongside Krommindy Royal Navy personnel, and throughout the HCSK Navy, KRN cadres were a common sight and would likely be for at least the next ten years. The ships had been bought from the Revolutionary Commonwealth of Wagdog, and were of Soviet-esqe designs. Naturally, they had been refitted to the HCSK's specifications, concepts, and doctrines.

Now they had been given their first expeditionary mission: Taskforce Monavia was formed from the 2nd, 3rd, 7th, and 12th Carrier Strike Groups. As the name suggested, Monavia was the intended destination. Each CSG, commanded by a Kapusta-class C4ISR/EW vessel, contained an Ulyanovsk-class carrier, Kuznetsov-class escort carrier, two Kirov-class battle cruisers, six Udaloy-class destroyers, four Neustrashimy-class frigates, three Akula-II-class attack submarines, and their support vessels.

Attached to Taskforce Monavia would be the HCSKAF 402nd Air Expeditionary Wing, with 84 F-111 Interceptors, 12 F-111s outfitted for electronic warfare, from the HCSK Marines 12 LY-908As from VMFI-4, and 12 F-22s from the Krommindy Royal Marines Aviation Corps. The first elements of the 402nd AEW were already in the air, and would arrive in 16 hours, and several days ahead of Taskforce Monavia to Monavia proper to help defend their Fegosian Union ally. Once the taskforce arrived, they would be adding 48 LY-908D interceptors, 96 F-35 strike fighters, 240 GA-101 attack fighters, and 48 electronic warfare capable GA-101s to the mix, not including the taskforce's surface-to-air capabilities.

The Emperor was standing on a marble balcony overlooking a small lake in the vast palace gardens, deep in thought, and close by was a scribe, carrying a computer tablet, ready to write down any orders given by the Emperor. He had only recently been made aware of the situation with their allies in the Blackhelm Confederacy, and this could not have come at a more inopportune time, due to the recent tensions with neighboring nations he could not afford to send out a proper force to aid them, for that would leave the Empire vulnerable to attack. But at the same time he could not let an ally fight unaided, so he would simply have to send out as much as he could spare.

He turned to the scribe, starting to give out orders of what had to be done. A full ten Legions would be deployed to aid Blackhelm in their struggle, and along with them would be sent two-hundred and fifty thousand men from the Foreign Legions. Not nearly as much as he would have otherwise sent for such a task, but at the moment it was all that could be spared.

With a wave of his hand he sent the scribe away to make sure his orders reached the right people, and then he again looked out over the lake, the midday sun reflecting in the calm waters, if only the seas of diplomacy could be so calm.

------------------------------------------------------

Official communique from the Empire of Zirilrath
To: The Incorporated States of the Blackhelm Confederacy

The Empire shall stand with you in the conflict against he Novan aggressors, though it is with great regret that we can only deploy a small force at this time due to more local threats against the Empire.

We will deploy sixty-five thousand Legionnaires to your aid by air, and would appreciate if you could give us directions as to where they would do the most good in this struggle and prepare landing strips for our transport planes. We shall also deploy two-hundred and fifty thousand men from the Foreign Legions, who will arrive by ship within the week, and we would similarly appreciate instructions as to where their deployment would be the most useful.

Furthermore a fund equaling one trillion USD will be made available to all allied nations to aid with the war effort.
Julius Maxentius, High Minister of Foreign Affairs

------------------------------------------------------

At the Emperor's orders the Imperial Armed forces had gone to work, preparing transports for the thousands of Legionnaires who would soon depart for war. And in the region of West South East Europe a quarter of a million men from the local Legions were mobilizing, and transport ships were en route to bring them to the conflict, as well as a few fleets to escort them there.

Over the ocean

The initial objective of recalling the fighters was to move the scene of the battle closer to the islands in order to facilitate combining the initial wave with the reinforcements from the island. While the reinforcements made their way towards the retreating fighters, the pursuing Brewdomians made good on their intentions, with a stinging degree of effectiveness.

The forty-eight F-18s were too slow to avoid remaining within targeting range of the Brewdomian fighters, which rapidly caught up to their positions and barraged them with a flurry of air-to-air missiles, delivering a devastating series of blows to the slower craft as their pilots maneuvered to turn around and make a charge at the enemy fighters. One-third of the F-18s were hit by missiles, and of these sixteen damaged planes, fourteen were downed, hurtling towards the surface of the sea. One of the planes endured a grazing blow to the top of its wing, only to be hit by a second missile head-on. In one motion, the Brewdomians had placed the odds in their favor.

The remaining thirty-two F-18s began counterattacking, but missiles from the Brewdomian fighters exacted a heavier toll as they continued to down Monavian aircraft. Another ten were hit, then half a dozen more. By the time the first wave of air-to-air missiles had impacted, with a few lucky misses, two-thirds of the F-18s had been shot down.

The pilots of the Monavian F/A-22s which had flown ahead, being faster, turned around and began to remedy the distress of the remaining F-18 pilots. Thirty-two of them charged in at full speed, decelerating in time to launch a barrage of air-to-air missiles at the Brewdomian aircraft. The pilots proceeded to attack the thirty-five Brewdomian F-15s, each one launching two missiles equipped with homing radar tracking systems; in essence, they were high-speed precision-guided munitions in missile form.

In addition to the attack of the Monavian F/A-22s SAM systems now engaged the enemy. The forty long-range SAM emplacements each contained a pair of missiles tubes, which could guide them to a maximum effective range of 400 kilometers. As t he battle was only about 250 kilometers away, the missiles would reach the enemy in about five minutes or less. Over a fifteen second period, various launchers fired off their ordinance, each one being programmed to follow a set time delay, in order to create the effect of a solid wave of eighty SAMs.

Each one of the rockets was provided with targeting information by the airbase’s main radar array, a gigantic complex of dishes and antennae, accurate enough to detect small flocks of birds from 500 miles away and provide reliable locks for missiles within a radius of 300 miles. Now, as the Brewdomians inched closer, the eighty guided SAMs, sporting ECM tracking equipment, sped towards the Brewdomians at nearly Mach five. The system’s effectiveness would now receive its first trial under fire, as ECM tracking had only been tested with retired aircraft, destined to be used as flying, remote-controlled targets for new SAM technology. In the case of being jammed on normal frequencies by ECM, the missiles could switch to tracking the source of the jamming signals in place of its radar signature, but thus far, all targets used in testing had relatively weak ECM systems on board. The time for their ultimate test had finally come.

Sixteen F/A-22s and thirty-two additional F-18s were now a minute away from reinforcing the battered Monavian F-18 squadrons, which had taken heavy losses. Until the arrival of the reinforcements, only the thirty-two F/A-22s which had been dispatched with them, now engaging the Brewdomians with missiles and auto cannon fire, would be present to aid them in the battle. Moments riven with inconceivable tension passed, creeping past like the hour hand on a wall clock. Only time, and the skills and tactics of the pilots would tell who attained victory in this skirmish high above the sea.

Low earth orbit
Space

Monavian assets continued to take damage from Brewdomian suicide satellites and the debris generated by explosions and collisions. Still, there were assets to use against the enemy as they continued to make a valiant stand with what assets remained. As they continued to use kamikaze tactics to remove additional Monavian satellites from orbit, the losses on either side mounted.

The forty-nine remaining WASPs were redirected to give chase to the Brewdomian rod platforms, which had been picked up by the pair of ASAT missiles following them and providing tracking data to ground control stations. The sole objective was to eliminate them before they could make a successful escape, using the remainder to attack additional targets. The 367 ASAT missiles continued to attack Brewdomian surveillance and communications satellites as they passed over Novan airspace, and after the passage of several more minutes, the number was now reduced to 291.

Locating more Brewdomian satellites to destroy became more and more difficult as debris destroyed many more ASAT missiles and the number of enemy targets decreased. On the ground, controllers were confident that they would have further victories against Brewdomian space assets, although they were about to receive more targets to attack.

The Brewdomians had chosen to retaliate with ASAT missiles of their own, a wise decision in itself, barring the variable of numbers. As the Brewdomian ASAT strike began to inflict losses, new orders would be issued to foil any attempts at regaining any semblance of superiority in space. The 311 ASAT missiles were redirected to intercept the Brewdomian ASM-135s, using the advantage of numbers to strike them down.

In spite of the disorder and the sheer quantity of objects to track in space, satellites, rockets, debris, and so forth, it was possible to ascertain exact Monavian losses. As it stood, casualties as the time of detecting the Brewdomian ASAT strike stood at 134, and additional Monavian satellites would meet a fiery fate, either through detonations or decay into the atmosphere, and at times even both, as the war continued on.

Mokan space station Genesis
Space

Locate high in the atmosphere, the Mokan space station occupied a commanding defensive position, prepared to strike down any enemy assets which came within range. Its eight laser turrets and railguns were being fed targeting data which showed the locations of Confederate and Brewdomian KKVs, rockets, and satellites, as they approached weapons range.

Various ports on the Monavian coasts

The great port cities of the empire were known for their naval facilities, which commonly accompanied the civilian harbors, providing security and protection. The delivery of supplies and logistical operations were coordinated through these places, especially in times such as these. Hundreds of ships were being prepared for an invasion of Blackhelm, yet it would be quite a while before they arrived at Waypoint Alpha. Several carrier fleets were being refitted and deployed to the eastern coasts, in order to form a cohesive task force.

Seated in his unusually austere office aboard the MIS Invictus, Admiral Nikolai Petrov was reviewing several reports about the levels of mobilization and deployment of vessels under his command. He had spent the last half hour looking over the reports, writing down a list of what other vessels would be required to complete his task force. Thus far, he had needed another four battleships, two carriers, seven attack submarines, fourteen destroyers, eleven destroyer escorts, and numerous support craft, oilers, logistics ships…

The scale of the operation was not taken lightly by anyone, but given the need to finish organizing the felt for future deployment, he had no wish to hesitate in placing calls for additional ships whenever they didn’t arrive on schedule. Such occurrences were rare under his leadership, thus some officers in his chain of command often joked that time obeyed the admiral, and that it did not work the other way around.

As Admiral Petrov spent his time mobilizing an invasion force, his aides were compiling reports of new arrivals and sending out requests for specific vessels which carried the arsenal he needed. Within the week, the bulk of the task force would be assembled, and after the passage of another week, it would be ready to proceed to waypoint Alpha.

(ooc: I'm fed up with waiting - Blainesville can whine when he gets back)

1st Expeditionary Airfleet
770km West of the Blackhelm Sea Wall

The vice sky marshall sat and waited. And waited. The dots slowly approached - the worst part of the attack was here. It was the anticipation. Were they going to unleash a volley, and run away, would their resolve be broken by the inbound wave of missiles, or were they going to go kamikaze? He finally was answered, as a warning siren started.
"They've loosed! We have inbound missiles, unable to project targeting yet."
"I can see that." He flicked open the intercom, watching as the missiles quickly approached - tiny dots, pulsing as waves returned from them, the computer compensating for delays to virtually project their position. Dotted lines, all headed for the outer edge of the airfleet. From the speed, he knew they would be there in well under a minute.
"All vessels, brace for impact!"

He swung around in his chair, looking out one of the small viewing ports. Invisible to his eye, a massive bubble extended from the entire airfleet, a wall of shimmering radio transmission. In his line fo view, he could pick out the occasional airship, scattered amongst the formation - it was difficult, the craft painted blue-grey in amongst gray clouds. And now, the occasional flash of an autocannon.
"Missiles in visual range. Brace for impact!"
And then it started. Across the sky, flashes, like a firework display, as missile after missile exploded. The autocannon started up, a couple of bursts thrown with hope into the air at the projectiles blindly soldiering, even as conflicting messages told them to detonate. In the distance, there came a couple bangs like fireowrks, as the hailstorm units detonated, one shuddering beneath his feet as a missile deonated a few tens of metres away. The flash came with a clattering, like a shower of hailstones, as shrapnel impacted into the sides of the gondola. The window crazed as a piece smacked into the outer glazing layer, embedding itself in place.
"Damage report!"
"System shows gas loss from sectors 1, 7 and 9 - three minor leaks. Impacts on missile gondola, times three on the engine gondola. Engineering is underway to check it out."
A pair of men sprinted past, backpacks loaded up, as they moved out to check damage in the nearest sector. The Marshall was more interested in listening out for damage reports as they came in.
"Report in any major damage."
"This is L-124 - we have sustained critical engine damage - we're on wind power until further notice, over"
"This is L-129 - losing altitude. Approximately 40 hits to the gasbag and suspected fuel leak. Will move out to join 3rd flotilla, over."
"Sequential damage reports from all moderate damaged vessels, over."
He sat in, noticing the general pattern. From his estimations, the countermeasures had worked - and the enemy had been foolish. An air-to-air missile had no effect on an airship - he had learnt that on the first day of damage control training. Even the civilian vessels at the rear would have little problem - the main targets seemed to have been the smaller airships. Were they just targeted for their size, as easier things to destroy?
"This is C-223 - we have four casualties onboard - I repeat, four casualties, over."
"What is severity, C-223, over?
"Three moderate, one critical - personnel are transported airfield units, over."
"We have approximately 16 hours before we can safely unload casualties - continue with course, and deal with it with onboard personnel, over."
"Understood, over."

The general feeling was that they had been shaken - it wasn't a severe attack, more a warning shot. An expensive one, if he could guess how much each of those missiles fired cost. The enemy were going to quickly lose supplies if they continued in that way - a way he was perfectly comfortable with. One of his staff spoke up.
"Sir, you have an inbound message from Airfleet Command on the VLF."
"Let's see it."
Code: Select all
GU BU OPERATION GO AHEAD STOP
PROCEED WITH ORIGINAL PLAN STOP
ALLIED STRIKES IMMINENT STOP
CONTINUE WITH STATUS UPDATES STOP END MESSAGE

He flicked on the broadcast, to the taskforce commanders.
"We have been given the go ahead for operation Gu-Bu - all vessels to full speed. Launch primary volleys at 750km, main volley at 400km, with 60km sub volleys. Keep eyes out for enemy aircraft. Brief your Captains, and keep countermeasures engaged. Out."
The plan for the operation was simple - breakthrough to the coast, establish a beach-head, or whatever you could call what was planned, and wait for the allied forces to turn up. The air cover they knew would benefit them would soon turn up, as the fleets of Nova gathered. It was the implementation of the plan that would be difficult. The Captain on the vessel's main bridge was just audible, as the damage control procedure came to a close.
"Engines to all ahead, full. Set course to Waypoint Delta."

--------------------

Somewhere over the Novan Oceans

The missiles continued on, supercruising as their powerful first stages continued firing. These stages were designed for long endurace flights, just like this - set up differently, they were used as part of the Splinter 1C, a vehicle used to launch satellites into orbit. Just with a shorter burn time, and going vertically rather than horizontally. They were still thousands of kilometres from their target zone, yet at the rate of travel they were at would compensate easily. By the time they arrived, it would be the endgame in the battle between Monavia and Brewdomia. But even at that stage, they would make a difference.

With all that was going on in other places, the allied force at Waypoint Alpha had grown as additional reinforcements gathered for the mission that was going to be put in motion. This day was the day when Operation Gu-Bu would be set in motion, and the weather was partly cloudy, with gentle breezes that made one think of a tropical destination.

In the ship's CIC, Admiral Ghates was receiving a radio message. After decoding the message, the following text was displayed on the Admiral's personal screen.

Begin operation Gu-Bu.

This was what the forces gathering at Waypoint Alpha had been waiting for, and as the Lamonian ships prepared to move, radio messages were passed to the other allied formations at Waypoint Alpha. The Lamonian ships were on the move. Their destination? The seawall that the Blackhelm Confederacy had been boasting about. The ships were now 7,000 km from the seawall, and closing.

Fleet Admiral Hutson of the 12th Combined Assault Taskforce and the 14th Vamperial Carrier Armada was going through various plans that were written heavily in detail. With their orbital platforms coming online, Hutson had the authority to use whatever means required to crack open the seawall alongside with Novan Allied Forces. If they could crack open the seawall and prepare a beach landing, two legions would deploy themselves alongside with further mehcanised battalions and begin the push. However, their first objective was to take out the sea wall and engage enemy naval units in the area.

"All ships standby for engagement," ordered Hutson as Code Red went throughout the armada's. "Bring the orbital batteries online and prepare for an attack. See if you can find a way to estimate the enemy movements," he ordered a they followed the Lamoni ships.

500 km off the coast of Monavia

As the 6th Air Attack Flotilla lead Mokan ships sailed towards Monavia, itself was lead by the MNS Timon, a Zumwalt-class destroyer about a kilometer ahead of the majority of the fleet. While most people didn’t technically forget that ships didn’t stack on each other and instead rode side by side, many times they would treat the location of the fleet as the location of each ship in said fleet. Little did they realize that the location was really jus the generic center of the mass of ships creating the floating fortress of the Sixth Air Attack Flotilla. The 6th Air Attack consisted of 85 ships spread across roughly a 10x10 Kilometer area, and behind the 6th Flotilla rode the 3rd and the 5th at its flanks with the 2nd 7th 9th Air Attack behind them. From the moment the MNS Timon crossed a location, it took nearly 3 hours for the last ships in the massive fleet to cross it again. In all honestly, of the 10 Air based Flotillas of the Atlantic Navy, only the 4th and the 1st remained back home.

Overhead a single E-2D Advanced Hawkeye flew on another forward exam of seas ahead, escorted by two F-35s that were more for show of force then any real danger, if anything threaten the eyes of the fleet, the MNS Timon and its fellow Zumwalts would neutralize it, the captain of the Timon wondered why command felt that they needed anti-air missiles with a range of over 200km, but it was not his place to question the doctrine of high command, but once he would like to fire the cannon at an actual target. Instead of letting his mind wander to far he kept his eyes on the information that the Hawkeye fed the fleet and continued sipping his coffee.

In the Hawkeye, the coast of Monavia had become apparent long ago, and they were busy sending signals to allied command centers that the Mokan fleet was entering the theatre. By the sound of it an air battle to the north was brewing with causalities on both sides, the slower F-18s of Monavia vs faster F-22 and F-15s. The fleet would not be able to intervene simply because distance and time were against them, but that is what happens when you need to cross an ocean or two.

MNS Liberación

"Admiral we are receiving word from allied command. Sounds like the majority of the fleets are moving into postion to begin operations against Blackhelm, location is codenamed Alpha."

"Very well, Navigator, get us a pathway. Captain, inform the Monavians we are on route to location Alpha, and will be leaving two Air Attack Fleets off their northern shores to help with the air defense of the country. If need be I will allow the admirals to assume control of Mokan Expeditionary forces in theatre."

With that, the Mokan fleet began to move into positions to protect and begin assaults against the monster known as Griffencrest.

International Waters
A few miles from Waypoint Alpha

The Krommindy Royal Navy combined fleet sailed majestically through the glittering ocean alongside the multi-national fleet.

All of a sudden, the newly installed BMS uplink stations on board 70% of the KRN vessels began alarming for missile launch warning. The missiles were moving just below speed-of-sound for sea-level, giving approximately one hour to targets in the massive international fleet. The radar elements of BMS were having trouble pinpointing the exact locations, but the visual and IR were reporting definite inbound of approximately 4,500 missiles. The AEGIS-equipped cruisers, destroyers, and frigates opened their missile tubes, awaiting the launch order from BMS as soon as they were in range. Just over 7,200 missiles stood primed and ready to intercept, the signatures assigned by the satellites and confirmed by the limited signals received by the ships' on-board radars. F-22 and F-35 fighters were scrambled, adding another 850 air-to-air missiles to the mix, and growing by the quarter-hour.

The AWACS aircraft and BMS showed that the missiles had come from eight merchant vessels, their positions marked. The Admiral's orders were to sink on sight, but that survivors were to be rescued. The 24 Joint Strike Fighters followed their assigned heading, and launched their missiles as soon as they were in range, despite the missile warnings from the direction of the offending vessels. The F-35s peeled off, and kicked the afterburners to get out of range of the freshly launched AAMs. The Harpoon-derivatives followed the easily-sensed, satellite-designated freighters, aiming for the water lines.

The Commentary; Education, Entertainment, And Something Else Beginning With E

On Air In Three, Two, One...

"Ladies and gentlemen welcome to this urgent and profound Commentary Broadcast detailing a war of unprecedented proportions erupting across the globe as I speak at this very moment! Passing you over to Harold Flint for a more coherent commentary on the situation..."

"Thank you Steven and let me tell you that the situation is indeed a boiling pot of international vendettas, intrigue and paranoia. Dozens of nations have taken sides, drawn in by various aims, goals and obligations in a single attempt to reduce a nation whom they share a common grudge against to rubble.

"The Griffencrest Corporation, known world wide as a major corporate power and prime exporter of oil and an expansionary visionist to boot, as finally incurred the wrath of enough nations for it to become the international target board for numerous nations reticules.

"The realm of Damirez proclaimed a set number of demands which the Blackhelm Confederacy, Griffencrests home country, must accept, lest it lead to consequences. A defiant response, and a refusal for diplomatic options to be pursued on the anti-blackhelm side, has led to full scale war of unprecedented proportions.

"The Blackhelm Confederacy, bolstered by the mercenary forces of Griffencrest, and joined by the support of the Neroian Empire, Ralkovia, Blainesville, Sorgan and Beiraq, is setting up it's defences in anticipation for a truly colossal combined international force. As large and powerful as the nations on the Griffencrest side may be ladies and gentlemen there is supreme doubt in my mind as to how long they can truly hold out against the onslaught of nations whom have sent their men and children to die for the so called greater good.

"The following nations have taken up the cry of arms against Griffencrest, so listen my friends at home, for your nation may be one of the "agressors" as it were in this affair. The nations include Wagdog, Imbrinium, Lynion, Katonazag, Azazia Vetaka, Ansari Empire, Zaheran, Lamoni, New Manth, Salzland, Kirav, Alfegos, Katonazag, Etoila Arcture, Stevid, Lamoni, Anemos Major, Sumer, Neo-Ixania, Allemande, Leistung, Mokastana, Animarnia, Monavian Empire, Mephras, Vetaka and of course Damirez.

"Most of these nations do not have official links to each other, instead, they are united by a common goal, and intertwining links between various members of various alliances, thus far The Commentary has gleaned that the Delian League and the Fegosian Union are playing a pivotal role whilst there are glimmering elements that ODECON could possibly become involved after a prominent member, Leistung, joined into the war effort.

"The question of course is ladies and gentlemen, how did this war come about? From what we have learnt from the various nations broadcasting corporations, websites, and political releases, we have formed a picture of the affair; having of course to sift through the bias evident on all sides.

"Griffencrest slash Blackhelm and its allies are quite clearly expansionists of an age which long ago should have been swept under the carpet long ago with the advent of democracy. Each of these nations involved is either possessed by a lust for the lucrative black gold, host to a tollatarian regime, or simply obliged to Blackhelm in some way. The nation of Ralkovia for example relies heavily on Blackhelm support to simply keep its people alive.

"The situation is dire ladies and gentlemen, the Blackhelm Confederacy is not to be trifled with, the politicians and national leaders who believe that they can simply amass their forces and overcome an inherent evil are mistaken. As we turn our eyes to the nation of Stevid we see a realm scarred by previous Blackhelm incursions, forced to turn their own nuclear weapons against themselves in a bid to protect what they had left.

"How many other nations will utilise nuclear weapons in a desperate attempt to save themselves? How many women and children will be thrown against the stubborn and inconsiderate masses of the Blackhelm forces, and more importantly, what is to stop a truly morally bankrupt realm on the verge of destruction from unleashing hell upon not only itself, but others?

"Ladies and gentlemen, with these words, we wish you goodnight, and goodluck."

Chief Arnook stared at the military support in disbelief.

How could he not have known?

How could Northern Sea not have know?

A war was engulfing the region, and Northern Sea's far east location had made it completely oblivious to the conflict at hand. There had been no reports of this "Griffincrest" corporation, nothing. He sighed with relief

At least they didn't try to attack Northern Sea. It would've have been foolish of them, but I still am thankful

But, I can't ignore the matters at hand. Allies of ours our in this war. And regional stability is one the line here.

He quickly summoned two secretaries from their offices. To the first, he said to find the war minister and bring him to the palace immediately.

To the second, he asked to send two telegrams out of the country.

To: The League
From: Cardon Arnook, Chief of Northern Sea
Date: Friday, 13 Nov 2009

I am most regretful for my late response to this impending crisis. Domestic politics and geographical isolation have prevented me from discovering this travesty occurring in Novan waters, and I am compelled to act. Northern Sea will take part in this effort as soon as possible.

I assure you that Northern Sea will be at your side. Whether you are aware or not, Northern Sea has arguably the world's most powerful navy, and is the only nation in the world to posses Waterbenders, a key point to that navy. While waterbending is something that I cannot explain in writing, I assure you that having waterbenders in the naval front will be of extreme benefit to our cause. As soon as I contact my War Minster, I will be able to give you numbers. However, I would like to send naval forces to three locations:

A fleet to aid in the protection of the League's capital island
A larger fleet to comprise of the attack force
And a blockade, to help protect Nova from attack from the East.

Please contact me as soon as possible. I cannot bear, and cannot forgive myself for being so late. I would be interested in contacting one of your members to gain a more adequate understanding of the situation. Stay strong

Cardon Arnook

To: Empress Anastasia II, of Neo-Ixania
From: Cardon Arnook, Chief of Northern Sea
Date: Friday, 13 Nov 2009

Empress,

I am most distraught to hear about the war that is rapidly consuming our region, and even more distraught that I have been so slow to act. As you are one of the few officials allies I have in this region, I wish to know the status of your realm. Please be reassured that Northern Sea will aid in this conflict, both for Nova in general and for Ixania. If yo wish, I would happily send a fleet to help naval patrol.

Also, I extend an invitation that I plan to extend to all leaders soon, but I wished to offer it yo you first. If this conflict begins spreading and your home is threatened, it does no one any good for their leader to stay in a dangerous situation. If Ixania were to become a target of this corporation, God Forbid, I would not be able to stay calm with giving you this offer. You, along with your family, administration, friends, are welcome to stay in Northern Sea if it becomes a concern of your safety. Northern Sea's eastern extent will give it the advantage of distance. If you would feel better staying in your country to the end, I understand, but I just wanted to extend this offer.

Stay safe and strong,
Cardon Arnook
