Trotskyist Takeover in Sviyazhsk

Postby Sviyazhsk » Sun Apr 22, 2012 4:48 pm

Official Declaration from The Trotskyist Democratic Republic of Sviyazhsk

Comrades, workers of the world, fellow socialist nations, and international leaders,

The proletariat of Sviyazshsk has risen up against the capitalist system that has enslaved it for so long. We have been educated on the lies that they have been telling us, and how they wish to keep us down for their own wealth and prosperity. We will not be abject slaves to an inconsiderate master any longer! The government of a nation should make policies that serve the majority of its citizens, and in turn receives its power from them. When the government no longer represents the majority and does not govern to serve it, it is time for a revolution!

The former King of our nation, Alexander IV, has abused our rights as humans. Hundreds of thousands of people dying and starving on the street, having to spend the whole day scavenging for food and water, sometimes needing to resort to violence to survive. The political rights of our citizens being destroyed, with thousands of bloody and mutilated bodies covering the streets that they protested on. Meanwhile, the rich political classes of the nation continued to get richer, continued to get happier, and continued to not care about the needs of others. If a nation would dare interfere with our revolution against these things, let them be ashamed of themselves for endorsing this barbarism.

The revolution will not become the monster that it tried to fight. Alexander will be given a fair trial by an impartial and objective jury, and the nation is going to be modeled as a direct democracy. The people will decide what direction the nation goes in, and nobody else. All private enterprise in the nation is now banned, and all existing corporations are being nationalized.

Basic fundamental human rights will also be guaranteed in our constitution. The right to a job, house, clothing, food, and life. The right to free speech, a fair trial, and protection from government abuse. We will create a fair and equal socialist utopia that is ran by our people, for their benefit.

We call upon all proletarians living under oppression to see our example. There is still hope in earning your freedom, and do not ever give up your cause. Sacrifices must be made, but they should not be in vain. To the capitalist nations who wish to stop this thread to their oppression, think wisely about your decision. Not only must you face our people and their newly found freedom, but the international community.

Cerce Eugene Evangelina Lena Danielson Tentones, Emperor of the People's Empire of Cerantia, again sits at his desk, reviewing reports on the various items of concern that a leader must intervene in. One object of interest pops out among the rest, and he picks up the paper detailing the takeover of Sviyazhsk. He tries to pronounce the name, to no avail, and simply reads on.

He calls over his close friend and adviser, Nomanic Carver. Showing him the paper, he asks, "What do you make of this?"

Nomanic reviews what information is given to him. Obviously in deep thought, he states carefully, "I'd think that we need to hold them to their word. My advice would be to impose some legislature that would state that Cerantia would come in and take over if the government became oppressive along the lines of the former government. If they don't like that - well, what exactly can they do? It's not like they just stumbled upon an ICBM, and any nation that would go against us would take some pretty heavy casualties before getting their way."

Cerce shook his head. "I agree with imposing legislature - they need to be held to their word - but nuke them? Threaten them? Seriously? We're not a military empire anymore, Nomanic. We're supposed to be looking out for the people, not the people looking out for us. That includes these up-and-coming communists. Let's try and avoid conflict where we can on this one."

Nomanic rose up, looking a little stern. "The last time you said that, we had a civil war the likes of which Cerantia has never encountered. If somebody tries to push us, or this collection of rebellious workers, we should push right back."

Sighing, Cerce simply states, "Just because it happened once, it doesn't mean it will happen again. If worse comes to worse, we will do what is necessary."

To whom it may concern;

It is with firm resolve that Cerantia will hold accountable all those in power in the government of Sviyazhsk, from here until the end of the People's Empire of Cerantia, to the terms and conditions outlined in the statement issued by Evgeni Demyan at 6:48 PM on Sunday, April 22nd. If the terms and conditions outlined in the statement are altered, or are not followed, Cerantia reserves the right to impose the same or similar terms and conditions outlined in said statement by threat of force, if necessary.

Address from Chairman of the National Fascist Party and the Leader Georg Frümajn

To whom it may concern,

The government of Pazajkland refuses to recognized your communist government and encourages any pro-monarchist or fascist powers to fight against the Communist dogs.
Despite Pazajkland's ban on private enterprise and proletariat based system, we refuse to accept the flawed, ineffective, and counter productive system of Communism as a valid theory, and our government has stamped it out in Pazajkland over 20 years ago.

Once again, we refuse to recognize this tyrannical government,
Georg Frümajn

The terrorist forces of CSF condemn this communist government, and are willing to give weapons to the people in order to restore their former selves.

Georg Frümajn
RE: Refusal of Recognition

Sir Frümajn;

It is my firm belief that people have a right to fail. If you can do anything to prevent the failure of which you speak, I highly advise that you do it in a peaceful and productive manner. Any unnecessary offensive actions taken towards Sviyazhsk and its people will be taken as a direct assault against a protectorate of the People's Empire of Cerantia. If the people wish to resort to ineffective means of running a government, they may do so at their own peril, and until there is adequate proof that the majority of the people of Sviyazhsk do not support this movement, we will continue to support the current government, regardless of our own hatred of communism. This is a large majority of people, not a minority of soviet-endorsed workers, and I will never abandon people that are in need of help - regardless of what they believe in. Please, keep this in mind while your government discerns its course of action.

Sincerely;

Official Declaration from The Trotskyist Democratic Republic of Sviyazhsk

We will not tolerate any attempt by a foriegn nation to change the direction and policies of our nation. What right does a nation hundreds, if not thousands of miles away, have to tell us how to run our nation? It is simple. You have none. The proletariat has shown that it wants a new government in place, and it has happened. If we do not have majority support, why did our revolution succeed? If we did not have majority support, why was our opposition so weak? I invite our enemies to explain to me why our people would fight on the side of dictators and tyrants rather than those who seek to free them.

We are not concerned with threats from obscure terrorist groups who are on the fringe. You will be nothing but fleas on our back, a mere annoyance, merely interfering with a global revolution of ideas. Whether ot not a nation recognizes us also does not concern us. Our dreams of a utopia will be fufilled even if you pretend we don't exist. I have to ask, if we are not the leginimate government, then who is? Is it Alexander, who is sitting in a prison cell? Is a prisoner on trial your idea of a government? I would like to have an answer to this question.

I would also like to thank Cerce Eugene Evangelina Lena Danielson Tentones of Cerantia. This may seem odd, as most new countries would not be happy to have threats from another nation. However, I am glad to see that you care for the future of our people. Too many socialistic and communistic revolutions are hijacked by dictators and fascist. They only seek to take off our chains and put new ones on. This letter assures that the revolution in our nation will not end up this way.

We are not tyrannical, and that claim is absurd to the highest degree. We have devoted ourselves to the principles of direct democracy and a government that makes policies to benefit the most amount of people. In order to prove the support our revolution has among the people, we will be having a referendum in exactly one month from this letter being sent. In the meantime, everybody will be allowed to campaign for either side. We will prove to our enemies that their lies are nothing but smears and propaganda that seek to destabilize our utopia, and bring back their barbaric slavery of the lower classes.

Die Füjhrer was infuriated upon reading the message he had received from his morning attendant Hans.
"SWINE" he screamed as he thrust the paper down on the table, and stood up angrily, beginning to pace. "Such a small, insignificant little nation threatening us?! They call us fleas? They're lucky I do not crush their worthless commie tribe like BUGS!"
"Mijn Füjhrer, you must calm yourself before making at irrational decisions." his morning attendant said quietly, guiding the visibly angry leader back to his chair, "Remember, our government is non-interventionist. You mustn't violate this belief, simply ignore the communists, they are no threat to Pazajkland or her people."
Die Füjhrer sat down, sipped his water, and said in a more calm voice, "You are right, Hans, I must not get so worked up. Wire the Sviyazhskian government a message, and tell them they are officially classified as a rogue nation. We have no more use with these pigs"

Official Declaration from The Trotskyist Democratic Republic of Sviyazhsk

''As long as the ends may be justified”

Image

The Trotskyist Democratic Republic of Sviyazhsk is pleased to update the nations who are interested in this revolution with recent news. The People's Commissars for Direct Democracy has conducted a referendum on the creation of the new government in order to show that we are devoted to democracy. All eligible Sviyazhskians were allowed to vote, with no fees, penalties, or discrimination based off of any factor. Out of 1, 850,000 people registered to vote, turnout was 85%. The new government was overwhelmingly approved, with 89.8% voting favor, 9.1% against, and 1.9% spoiling their ballot.

This referendum shows that the revolution and the new government has massive support among the people, and that any claim that we are not the legitimate rulers is completely false. We engaged in a popular revolution against an oppressive tyrant, and we now have a direct democracy that governs for the benefit of the majority. We have been asked to prove our devotion to democracy, and we have provided. Sviyazhsk is expecting to be treated with more respect on the international stage.

Now that our new government has been created and approved, we are happy to engage in foriegn relations with other nations that recognize us. A telegram or response to this letter will suffice for us to begin talks.

Thank you,
Evgeni Demyan
