Honadura was a profound place for it's history and political wonders relying in self-reliance. Today was a different story as the sun was high in the sky above the Nuclear testing facility in the Hoshira Province which was the closest to the Honaduran Yellow Sea. Today would be the day that Honadura launch it's nuclear rearmament program it once developed in the fifties but canceled it in the 80s due to no need for nuclear weaponary at the time. Hon Sura II who was the "Great Leader" of Honadura currently proposed a nuclear rearmament program and to do testing right away. This would officaly be the first test of the launch of the program and would be mostly for revenge purposes. Honadura had a rocky relationship after the islands they once held had revolted. Numerous times had Honadura and the islands been on the brink of war but never did fire the first shot. But today would be the firing of the first shot so to speak, One of the islands was targeted to be the testing area and the place where the nuclear missle would strike.
Hon was at the facility wearing his classic olive green military uniform that had numerous medals and ribbions along with his officer cap he wore to events such as these. Flanking his sides were his personal advisors and close friends of his who wore ceromonial military uniforms and were egerly awaiting the launch of the ICBM and the power that would be showcased from it being fired. The facility was prepared for the nuclear warhead to be launched and within the facility building where the personnel would work and etc. They're was a staircase leading to a underground bunker where they could watch from video feed of the explosion and it's shock and awe destructive power. Hon decided to be outside when it happened since the island was miles away from where they were seperated by the blue sea. Around the entourage were scientists and military scientists and the like. They were all ready to watch the glorious launch of the missle that was currently several hundred yards away in a Missle Silo holding cell. Below ground of the missle silo were scientists and tech personnel preparing and getting ready to launch the warhead.
And to celebrate the glorious launch of the first warhead that would kick off the program. Televisons and other media outlets would be allowed to broadcast the event to praise the power of Honadura and it's capabilites. Citizens around the country would be viewing in to watch the launch of the warhead that would give Honadura the revenge it wanted agaisnt the island it was currently targeting. Hon was currently having a drink of liquor as they announced that the launch was almost ready for launch. Hon and his entourage went into a observation tent that was setup which inside had several monitors inside to view the launch from a far. "Attention all personnel and visitors, Please rise for the Peoples Hymm", all over the facility everyone rose as the Peoples Hymm played on speakers everywhere. It was tradition to play the anthem during a major event or before it to show respect to Honadura and it's great leadership who helped the event happen.
Once the anthem ended the facility was ready to launch the first warhead. From below ground the scientists and tech personnel were starting the first phases of pre-launch of the warhead making sure everything was online and then it began. The silo's blast doors opened up slowly as the broadcaster of the speakers voiced. "Launch in..Five...Four...Three...Two...One...Launch Success". A defeaning roar was heard as the warhead's boosters fired up projecting the warhead out of the missle silo and into the atmosphere. Now it was time to wait for the warhead to exit it's first phase and strike the island in the distance that looked like a tiny piece of dirt from where Hon and his entourage were. Suddenly a huge ball of flame and then the rise of a large mushroom cloud appeared on the monitors as they entire facility staff cheered that the launch was a success. "Launch success..." it was done the warhead had struck the island causing a great amount of damage and killing thousands of natives who were the offspring of the revolters who succeeded from Honadura years ago.
The launch was broadcasted to millions of viewers in Honadura and was a showcase of power and pride for Honadura and it's people. With the first launch a success the nuclear re-armament program was in full swing. Numerous nuclear power plants would be focused on making nuclear warheads and the likes. A international response to the detonation of a nuclear warhead was expected since many nations disliked weapons such as the one Honadura had launched.
