Okay, so I've been thinking, and it seems that no one on the International Incidents forums has done something similar to a Cold War-ish type scenario. So here's the idea:
1. Nations sign up to participate
2. Nations vote for two major powers of differing ideologies, to go head-to-head in a masssive political war( in other words, an influence one)
3. The other, "minor", nations have revolutions and rack up ideologies, increasing the heat of the "cold" war
4. The roleplay ends and one nation survives the cold war, and the other nations are rendered mostly at the will of the new world superpower
This is the thread I plan to use, so if you want to join or ask questions, send me a telegram, and I leave you off with a list of the rules:
1. In order to be a major nation, you have to be voted in and be of differing ideology of the other major nation
2. Minor nations are allowed to wage war, while major ones can only support a minor nation in one
3. Revolutions happen only in minor countries, but major countries, again, may intervene
4. At the end of the roleplay, one of the major nations fails to have enough influence to win, and thus falls, leaving the other nation the victor of decades of conflict
As soon as we have around 5 nations, we can vote for nominations of two specific nations to be major nations, and then pick the side were on.
I personally volunteer to not be a major power, partly because I feel like playing a minor natin to be fun, partly because in my heads roleplay, I'm the leader of an island nation, who has a guriella military of only 10,000 strong.
