"Pilot"
Kil Garad Military Space Sation, Aeyariss Deep Space Fleet
150,000 miles up in G-54 Orbit
It was a scene like no other. Here Second Lieutenant Ryan Aldren saw the preparation to disembark and to finally land on the planet known simply as G-54 was well underway. Busy. On the lower deck, the main hangar was bustling with sight from all sort of mecha and machinery. The massive 18 feet tall mobile suits, a giant humonoid robot, were being loaded onto their own carrier. No doubt these unit will be among the first Aeyarissian to walk on Gallia-54 - the advance guard. Ryan thought of that, and sighed.
This is suck. He thought loud.
Too bad, he will be landing with the main expedition force which due to arrive once the ground forces secured the landing site. This one in a valley in the far eastern continent of the planet. He looked outside. Outward the massive viewing glass, the spherical shape of the green planet were visibly seen to the young pilot officer.
On orbit, Gallia seemed to be just like Earth. 2/3 of the surface were being covered by water. It had almost the same size and mass as Earth. Early satellite imaging showed that most of the land were covered with thick vegetation, mountainous terrain which highest peak elevated to some 32,000 feet. Even higher than that of Mt. Everest back on Earth.
"Just look at her. She's so beautiful isn't she?" A male voice was heard from behind, Ryan turned and saw the three stars on his rank. It was Lieutenant General Alexander Harridan, 2nd in command of this Gallia Project. The lieutenant snapped off to attention and salute.
"General, sir. Good morning, sir." He said hastily.
"At ease. There's no need for formality here when it's only you and me. You're a family after all."
"Yes sir...I mean uncle."
"How's your preparation? Your unit will be in the advance guard, am I right?"
"Oh, no, sorry but it's not. My squadron will be landing with the main expedition force.
"Oh?"
"Yeah, but that's okay."
"You know it doesn't really matter if you are the first or not, what's important is that you are here, right here right now. But still, damn those Rainarans for being here first. They've already set up their mine and a city. A city! Would you believe that? I think it won't be too long before they claim this entire planet to be theirs."
"Well, we'll make sure that doesn't happen. All habitable ESP should be shared by the human race."
"Indeed, you are right. Now you join up with the rest of the fleet. You raise our White Dragon banner on the planet ground soon too kid."
"Yes, sir."
The general left, soon, the first advance guard a small team consisting of a platoon strength mobile suit would fly into the planet accompanying with another troopship filled by the scientist. The Rainaran had already occupied the northern continent of the planet so the Aeayriss would venture farther down to their south.
Yes, but little did they know that things are about to go down south even faster.
