Mongolia
The People's Republic of China is one of the most powerful nations on Earth. It spans millions of acres of land through every ecosystem imaginable; from tropical rain forests to arid deserts, rolling plains to frozen mountain tops. Yet it is never enough; it is never ever enough to stop; for the Dragon to go "this is enough" it will never happen, it will never stop consuming, a ravenous unstoppable beast nearly unchallenged.
There was a great reason for this; of course. The Legacy of China's Empire that had begun in the years Before Christ. Such a legacy did not change with the color of the banner. Such a legacy did not change because of a change in mere government. No; because it did not matter what the color of the banner was; everyone who lived in reality knew that the title of Beijing's Closefisted Ruler would always in practice be Emperor of China; even if it was not on paper.
China, the land of dictators and tyrants, of emperors and warlords. It's Empire would be vast once more; but first it was the job of the glorious People's Liberation Army, and the cohorts of government making deals and shadows with other governments; that would bring about the recovery of ancestral lands.
Mongolia; home of the Mongol Barbarians that had once conquered China; establishing their so called Great Yuan which was toppled by Ming; which was then toppled by those who were now illegitimately oppressed beneath another banner, but they were another mission, another time. Mongolia was the current mission; the five divisions of the People's Liberation Army Ground Force entered the Mongolian Border in the mid-morning; making directly for Ulan Bator; with a surprising lack of any form of resistance.
Hours and hours passed; silence coming from Asia as decisions were made, and at last came the announcement, but not at the point of a gun like it would be thought, those divisions had spread out to secure Mongolia's northern Border, in the event Arovia took things violently. Mongolia signed the Treaty of Unification that very same day with peace; and without being threatened.
The People's Republic of China and Mongolia; the official name. Nothing would truly change, Mongolia would remain almost entirely autonomous, it's peoples would remain nomadic or semi-nomadic, and things would continue easily enough; though the lines on the map would simply need to be redrawn, less someone take issue with this agreed to upon writ...
If they did so; not only did Mongolia possess it's own force of arms, but the entire People's Liberation Army stood behind them and their agreement. Because; despite what some would say, this was a mutual relationship and an agreement, not a theft or occupation...
