Younger races know as the Ihan-rii, visitors from afar. We are the Xel'Naga, one of the first races to be created by the Ancient One. We have traveled far and wide across stars and galaxies, and have uplifted many races based on their natural gifts. We have observed your Brotherhood since its conception, are are most impressed by your philosophy of equality and your goal of uplifting the human race. Thus, we have come to offer an alliance between us, so that your goal of ascension and equality will be attained sooner.

We have also seen that two races we have uplifted in the past, the Protoss (who have become the Rotan) and the human Vlachs, or Fortareatans as you call them, are now prominent members of the Brotherhood.

We would like to ask the Rotan, our firstborn, for forgiveness, since we have left them before the appointed time. They have become far too erratic and have started to attack our ships when we gave them the Khalis and Uraj, for its power drove them mad. That is our mistake, since we should have not given the Twin Crystals to you while your psionic powers are not yet fully developed. We are proud that you have survived, thrived, even, after such dire circumstances.

To the people of Fortareata, we have this message: we are pleased and thankful that you have not forgotten your mentors, and are well aware of your present condition. We will come to your aid against both the swarm and your invaders. We are most proud of you.

The Rotan had issues. Not once in the years since the brotherhood's founding had any member ever seen a Rotan truly pissed. Even when hunting The Swarm or fighting other battles, it seemed more the national sport than anything to get them angry. Their ability to remain calm and focused regardless of the situation was very nearly legendary.

"And what did you abandon us for? The Swarm. How did that turn out for you? Your darling creations turned on you, very nearly annihilated you, and joined with the Tyranid Swarm created by Chaos." Aldaris said.

Yes, not once had they ever gotten angry.

"And now that you've recouped some strength, your coming crawling back to us, after all these eons, hoping what, that we would simply, let sleeping dogs lie?" Aldaris asked.

Today would be an exception to that single unwritten rule.

"DO YOU THINK SO LITTLE OF US, AS TO ACCEPT BACK THOSE WHO HAD ABANDONED US WHEN WE NEEDED THEM MOST? DO YOU HAVE ANY INKLING OF WHAT WE WENT THROUGH, WITHOUT YOUR GUIDING HAND?" Aldaris shouted.

Things around him began spontaineously exploding without provokation: Glass, bomb-proof doors, a side of the wall, parts of the floor, ETC.

"HOW DARE YOU DO THAT TO US? YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW LONG IT TAKES FOR US TO FORGIVE THOSE WHO DO US WRONG. EVEN SEVERAL THOUSAND YEARS AFTER OUR DARK BROTHERS WERE OUTCASTS, WE STILL THOUGHT OF THEM AS ENEMIES. IT WASN'T UNTIL THE SWARM FOUND AND ATTACKED US THAT WE FORGAVE THEM, AND EVEN THEN THE SWARM HAD US IN A CHOKE HOLD. I WILL NOT NOW NOR WILL I EVER FORGIVE YOU!" Aldaris bellowed at the top of his voice.

The entire building blew up, leaving Aldaris in a crater. Praise Kane everyone else had the good sense to abandon it before then. The Rotan had really deep issues.


Aldaris cleared his throat, and stared the Xel'nagan dead in the eyes.

"If I were a lesser being, I would do far worse than this. Be thankful I'm not, or I would simply gut you where you stand for what your actions have caused us. I'll go ahead and let you in, provided you can fill out the same application form as everyone else. But I'm warning you, you have much to make up for."

Aldaris turned and walked away. A careful analysis of his words revealed that he was actually giving the Xel'nagans a chance to make up for abandoning the rotans, but also demonstrated that there were deep seated feelings of resentment for being tossed aside for something as evil as The Swarm. Perhaps someday, he and the rest of Ruia would actually forgive them, but today would not be that day.

The Rotans had profoundly deep issues.

We are most thankful for the aid that you give us, esteemed ones. We have waited for quite some time, but we know that you will return as you have promised. Still, we believe that you arriving a few centuries earlier wouldn't be so bad for both our races, so we must ask what took you so long to keep your promise.

This generation of Vlachs would like to learn from your wisdom, just as our ancestors had.

"Abandoned you for the Swarm..." the Xel'Naga agent said softly, as if speaking to himself.

Then, as if gathering his resolve, he looked at Aldaris straight in the eyes and began to speak telepathically, for the Xel'Naga, like the Rotan, had no mouths.

"That statement, while acceptable, does have its errors. While we did leave the surface of Aiur after the Protoss went mad, we remained in close proximity to the planet, searching for a solution to your problem where your ancestors' rampaging cannot harm us. The older Protoss who did keep their sanity, like Khas and Adun, can vouch for that.

Also, while we were in orbit over the planet, another group of Xel'Naga uplifted the Swarm, creating the Overmind in order to keep them united. That proved to be a mistake. The Overmind turned on them, and, detecting our presence near Aiur (but thankfully not detecting Aiur itself), destroyed our fleet as well. In fact, you can say that the Xel'Naga died out that time. I am standing before you today because before the Swarm has totally destroyed us, a few of us, myself included, have managed to transfer our minds to these bodies, but have failed to activate them. Thus, we have remained in cold storage for thousands of years until very recently, when an asteroid strike awoke us."

He then stopped talking for a while, and his eyes glowed blue. He spoke again after one second.

"We are quite expecting a reaction like yours anyway," he said. "What we did was truly a grave mistake. I am still surprised, though, young Aldaris, how your race has not changed all these years. It seems that the Rotan do not mellow with age."

He then warped away.

All those present looked at where the building once was and saw that it was completely rebuilt, with no sign of it being destroyed in the first place.

OOC: I'm going to be doing a thread entitled "The return of Zeratul and Tassadar" if anyone cares to join in.

Basic premise is simple, the ghost of an old enemy returns to haunt the Rotans once more, the last surviving clone of Dr. Yamato Nasagori. He causes great trouble for The Rotan, and leads them to the brink of annihilation. They need the services of the only person ever to fully outwit Nasagori, Tassadar. Only, he left with Zeratul to hunt The Swarm to keep his people safe. So they send out a small party to look for them, to convince them to come back, that their not truly keeping their brethren safe from The Swarm since The Swarm is so numerous.

The party succeeds, and returns with the pair, and this builds up to the final confrontation with Nasagori.

I'm going to throw it up monday night, my time.

An enemy of our ally Herrebrugh, Licentia pro rus ruris, has performed a massive brutal attack against our capital city, Cerid. We, the Commonwealth of Mossat, have been attacked visciously, and have taken many casualties, with upward of two million civilians killed. We have been violated, but we still stand.

However, we cannot stand alone. Licentia pro rus ruris is a powerful enemy, but with the might of the Brotherhood we can stop these murderers from ever attacking anyone again.

To all who hear, stand with Mossat and her ally, Herrebrugh, and bring these beasts down to their knees!

Solyhniya hereby offers the Brotherhood of Nod an embassy and non-military base in Solyhniya. It will act as a marker of Solyhniya's friendship whilst also allowing our two great peoples an even greater opportunity for cooperation in the future.

Currently, Neo Cairo has offered to make the post on the embassy thread. If members of the Brotherhood would prefer this to be carried out by another member, that is fine also. Neo Cairo has already established air transport to the embassy island of Serena via Serena International Airport.

Either way, we would like to hear any special requests from all members of the Brotherhood before constructing the embassy building*. For example, you may want security detachments from each member nation to be present.
