Michal sat at his desk, analizing the most recent news coming from abroad. It seemed the Slavic Union was now terribly behind other nations in terms of technology, and started to believe the researchers needed more funds. He called the Minister of Economics and Finances, Grzegorz Kołodko, and the Minister of Research. Soon later, they arrived.

"How many money can we pour into research for our T-1 Project, for the Su-1 Project, for the MiG-1 Project, for our nuclear program, and for our space program?" He asked them, waiting for a quick answer.
The ministers looked hemselves, thinking.

"I want an answer. Now." Michal told them

Finally, the Minister of Research came out with an answer. "I believe the project called T-1 would deserve 3 billion Krunas. The Su-1 Project could take up to 7 billion Krunas, while the MiG-1 Project, which is very ambitious, could take up to 10 billion Krunas. The other projects can take up to 50 billion Krunas each."

Grzegorz Kołodko, the Minister of Economics and Finances, rubbed his eyes, unable to believe the ammount of Money they were about to spend.

"Good... Grzegorz, now you have the duty to find that money. Well, Minister. You will have your money. We will catch the other major powers up." He ordered them to go out of the room, and then started to write a letter to the Novorussians, which were called, in the Slavic Union, the "Movement for the Liberation of Novorossija", to get their support against the Ukrainians.

In any case, we would like to notify your nation, which, we want to remember, is a brother nation to us, that the A.N.A.N. members carried a vote procedure in a secret meeting in Krakow. The results were in favour, with only one delegate not voting in favour (speaking frankly, the delegate didn't vote at all: the delegate abstained).
Therefore we, as a coalition, agree to the formation of the International Defense Federation together with the G.A.F. Member States.

He thought it laughable, he especially thought about that, if such a strong nation had to resort to such means, it only meant it was weak. Further pushes were expected, while the Fatherland's Fleet and the Fatherland's Air Force continued bombing the cities and the armed forces of Ukraine, while Ukraine continues to be ever more trade-isolated, and while the Sothern European Armed Forces pushed through the Ukrainian central-southern territory (Oblast of Odessa), and while the Special Forces of the Ivory Union carried out specific assassinations.

Our nation is not as strong is the Asian Union or the Slavic Union, but we want to, and we want to be treated with respect. This is why we wanted to unify the Slavic Lands under one banner, even if remaining different under certain aspects.
But this is only part of our letter.
As you know, we had taken steps to align with the ShangHai Pact, willing to be part of it. Unluckily, after we and the Soviets had made a deal about Eastern Europe and we, according to the deal, attacked Ukraine, the Soviets changed their minds.
We cannot understand how the Russian people, one with such a sense of honour, could turn their backs to their Slavic brothers in such a way, but, probably, this is due to the ammount of propaganda they recieive everyday.
What actually scared us is that a nation with a even bigger sense of honour, such as your nation, did what she did: turn its back on a deal. Not only, we believe the behaviour you and the USA are having is incorrect and unfair.
We did not, and will never do, interfere with a nation's campaigns, unless a nation attacks our allies. We could have done that helping Panama. against the Venezuelans. Instead, until they attacked the Carribeans, we did not interfere. We could have interfered with the French. Instead, we supported them. We could have helped Indonesia. Instead, we let she fall. We could have helped the korean rebels, damaging both the Japanese and you. Instead, we helped the Japanese by sending troops in there. We could have helped the Indians. Instead, we let you operate in there. Theredore, we request you cease any arm supply to Ukraine, I do not ask you to stop sending food. Instead, I ask you to continue the food supply to Ukraine, something we cannot do because of being at wat with them. But food is different by ChengDu J-23s and Type 046A submarines.
Therefore, we ask you to immediately stop any weapon and arm supply to the Ukrainian government, even because of the risk you are taking, since we extended the "embargo" to every ship entering the national waters of Ukraine, meaning the arriving submarines could be destroyed before you achieve to get it to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Scotland refused surrender for a little while, even launching a nuclear missile from the Trident station, but it was intercepted on its way to Paris. Northern Ireland broke away within the war and joined Ireland, securing its position. The French military was thrashed in this war, being a shadow of itself in the pre-war France, another invasion may put them over the edge.

A terrorist attack does take place in Bordeaux, a shooter killed 19 people before being shot himself. Before he died, the shooter claimed:
"You all are fools! Can you not see that you are being lead by Napoleon once again?"

A 500 kiloton nuclear weapon hits Davao, immediately killing 34 thousand and injuring 35 thousand. Radioactive dust spreads onto General Santos City, a city with a much higher population. Over 40 thousand more people are put in the hospital due to the radiation, 22 thousand of them die. The city is evacuated, with over 300 thousand people leaving. Davao is expected to be clear by 2050, Santos is to clear by 2040.

The International Defense Federation is an alliance of expansionists who will stop at nothing to destroy the world."

Several prominent Indian nuclear scientists are killed, although the Secretary of Defense survives and continues in pushing his conscription laws. After several months, many under prepared soldiers go onto the battlefield. Although they are under prepared, their sheer numbers gives them the advantage. Hundreds of thousands of Indian troops rush into Mumbai and manage to take the city back for India, capturing as many Asian troops as they can. Although many of their nuclear scientists were killed, they still possess hundreds of weapons and are ready to fire at China at a moment's notice. Many infrastructure projects vital to the nation have been put on hold to sustain the war effort.

Kiser cleared his throat and said "Where do we stand on the new government implementation?' A blonde haired women spoke up saying "Sir, 90% of the government has been transitioned with 100% of Australia completed and only a little portion of New Zealand still changing. It took longer for New Zealand due to their integration into our system. We expect full transition to the new system by the end of the week." Kiser sat back and said "Good. I am glad that everything seems to be working on that front." Kiser then turned to his military advisors and said "Are we ready to start the build-up?" One man who had silver hair and a tight beard said "Yes sir, we can start now if you want." Kiser said "Be ready to but I need to speak with our neighbors first so we don't alarm them." Kiser then said "Well then, lets get to it shall we?" He got up and went into his office where he called the French leader.

The previous military build up had left a nuclear facility ready to use. Under the new governments orders the reactors had been started and the facility was being prepared to start producing nuclear weapons. None had been made yet but everything was set for production to start. The Director of the Nuclear Program was Dr. Rinehart. The doctor was a tall , white, silver haired man. He looked over the facility and smiled for soon his hard work would pay off.

Kagoshima space center

A rocket with a different purpose was sent into space, to begin the process of constructing of a Space Station, the funds, although little, was just enough to begin the process of construction. What the government hopes is for the space station to become something similar to that of the International Space Station. A letter was then soon sent to all nations for this Ambitious project.

As the Venezuelan forces pushed up as they were told to on both coasts of Panama, the generals and commanders kept a close watch - the highest ranking were told to stay out of the way of the war, and thus were stationed at the Forward Operating Bases along the border to Panama. In one particularly FOB at the coast, Carlos Magnolo, Bila Chavez and Germain Auger, respective top brass of some of the largest army detachments Venezuela had (The Granvenezuelan Guard) had met up to discuss the invasion, it's gains, political consequences, and other more casual topics.

Carlos entered the tent where Bila and Germain were waiting for him, of course with their digital map on the table still on. "Welcome in." Bila said to Carlos as he entered the relatively small tent, and Carlos nodded his appreciation.
"So what are we doing here? The invasion is going well - right?" Carlos asked as he pulled up a chair at the table and sat down. Bila smiled and nodded. "The invasion is going well as predicted Carlos - we don't need to worry at the moment, the Caribbean can hardly face the might that we can forward at this point in time. The true matter of it is the fight we must face in the Gulf of Venezuela, which is your job." Bila said, gesturing towards Carlos as he said his name.
"You know my fleet cannot get to the Venezuelan Gulf without the Panama Canal under our control. The Caribbean Union currently holds it and we must stop them flanking us via Panama and onto our west coast." Carlos sharply replied, seeming a bit pissed off Bila seemed to be blaming him. "The ground forces are doing what they do best. With their new equipment the Caribbean doesn't stand a chance. They're outdated, unproven, inexperienced. As soon as Panama City falls, Panama is ours by de facto rule - whether the international community likes it or not... And the Caribbean wont have enough men to spare for another landing." Carlos should continue giving air reconnaissance and topple the Caribbean's air power in Panama so we can use our IR-YT fighter bombers to the fullest extent... And the Fuerzespeciales will move to extend this war. They will sail around the Caribbean Gulf to Cuba via aircraft carrier and begin making covert landings to Havana via fisherman boats." Germain said very quickly, before breathing deeply after, the others nodding in agreement. "Well I guess this meeting was... Concluded." But first, I'll have to congratulate our military on securing the objective of our invasion, the Panama Canal, in it's entirety. Now though, comes the problem of holding it. As you may already know, we are currently at war with Venezuela. While they're unlikely to attack our mainland directly, it's highly possible that they will easily swipe our newly acquired land if we do not act right now. It's also likely that they may be about to enter into an alliance with the Asian Union, which, if given the chance, would simply swarm our defenses and take our land within weeks, if not days. So, I think it is in our best interests to make peace with Venezuela as soon as possible, or, at least pray for U.S. intervention in the event Venezuela enters the Shanghai Pact."

Korean front. Soon he received the Email from the Australian Union about them accepting the involvement in the ISS and to also help with the Indonesian war, if He had decided to help them take Papua New Guinea and allied with him as well. Yoshimoto couldn't make this decision alone, although he had a final say in it, it would be up to the senate to decide whether to accept the help in the Indonesian war or not, as well as an alliance with them. Meanwhile another report came in with a tremor being heard with the hydrophones, the shifting of the tectonic edges. This meant a Tsunami was possibly heading for the island. Soon the television changed its program to the news station, stating a Tsunami warning was in place, and that people should head inland in case something of the sort happened. Before Yoshimoto left inland, him and the senate had a debate over to join in another alliance with the Australian Union. The debate lasted longer than expected, but in the end the vote went in favor of joining with them.

Mysterious Flesh Eating Monsters?

Yes folks. It seems as though zombies have come for our brains. Not in the way you would think. Apparently these creatures do mimic the behavior of a zombie and vampire combined by eating a dead corpse and drinking human blood to satisify their hunger. The Swedish Intelligence Agency has codenamed these mysterious human looking creatures "Ghouls". Because of this, the SIA is forced to create the Defense Intelligence Agency to protect Sweden from apparently supernatural beings.

Psychopath Killer Is On The Loose!

I thought this was only the end with the ghoul story but now a serial killer has come along to ruin that and maybe more stories like this. A killer that goes by the name of "The Silent Shadow" has been on a series on killings across Sweden for about 5 days now. The killer's MO seems that he targets anyone that is involved in the Hypercola Incident. Police officials already are saying that this could be another coverup by the Coca Cola Company to try and get rid of all of those involved. Because of this, the company has now been dismantled with the officials now in prison for 15 years and freezing all of their assets. Once again, the SAS has advised any Nordic citizen to not drink ant sodas that the Coca Cola Company put out as they contain trace amounts of the energy drink in each can. If you find any, report them to the local authorities immediately and you will be rewarded for your effort.

Marijuana Is Now Legal In Sweden! Hooray For Doobies!

Yes everyone! I think the news story that everyone should care about the most. Weed is now legal in Sweden! I'm already smoking one of the joints right now bruh! What was I supposed to talk about again? The article? Oh right man. Anyways, according to Swedish Parliament on this decision, we have also decided that instead of locking up drug addicts, we have decided to go the unconventional approach and rehabilitate them instead. We asked the Parliament on why this was done and they replied with, "As an example, look at the United States. They lock innocent people up that just want to break their addiction but can't because no one will. But now we will. Starting today, if you have been arrested for drug abuse, you will instead be transferred to a rehab facility, where we made sure you enjoy your stay on the road to recovery. I believe this will also help with the unemployment as we have now included that if a person was arrested for drug usage, they are able to still get an opportunity at a job if you have recovered." Wow. That is very sick on what they did. Now if you'll excuse me, i'm off to the streets to blaze this stuff at 4:20.

The flag of the French Union flies on top of the Elizabeth Tower, symbolizing the fall of the United Kingdom. There are small groups of people resisting the order of France, mostly in Scotland, but they are put under order quickly. The French military has taken a heavy hit in this war, but they are still holding onto their lands. Zachary Axalis arrives in London and speaks to the crowd of angry British civilians. He is accompanied by many soldiers, he understands that he is risking his life here.

<Zachary Axalis> "Hello, citizens of Great Britain. My name is Zachary Axalis, and I am the President of the French Union. I understand many of you must be angry, and I honestly wouldn't be surprised if I took a bullet right now. However, my goal was never to oppress the people under my rule, but to bring the power balance of the world back to Europe. I understand some people have painted me and my administration as 'Adolph Hitler' or 'Napoleon Bonaparte'. Those men tried to unite Europe through false pretenses, and were awful leaders to the people within their nation. The United Kingdom has many elite colleges and citizens, perfect for pushing the boundaries of science. Also, I am here to announce the severing of the United Kingdom and the splitting of it into Scotland and England with Wales being completely integrated into England."

The Welsh citizens show their distaste and begin a petition to separate Wales and England.

Hello, I am Richard Tyson of the French Space Administration. I had to say, I laughed when I saw this proposal. Not because the idea was over-ambitious or for any similar reason, but because my administration had been going over the plans to build one similar to how this one has been described. This was to be our next major project. Either way, it doesn't matter who proposes it, but who gets it done. I am happy to say that we will be assisting in the creation of this space station and allocate a high percentage of the money that flows through our administration to you. Of course, we have to keep the Mars mission up and running and we are continuing work on Athena, but this will receive the rest of the money we have to offer, around 200 billion dollars during the time period of the construction. I will be sending an attachment along with this email of our model for an International Space Station that my administration developed previous to this proposal.

This is how my top engineers have modeled the second International Space Station, with each of those sections extending from the center able to have attachments. We are estimating a construction period of of eight years, but this can change due to member participation. Although, I hope that we can constantly keep upgrading this station until we no longer can. Also, we will begin launching into a geostationary orbit, similar to where Lageos I is. Unless something manages to slow it down six kilometers per hour, it should stay in orbit for eight million years at the inner range of a geostationary orbit, which is more then enough time. We look forward to working with you and the rest of the participants on the International Space Station.

The merging of alliances has been kept secret from the public for months now. The Presidents and leaders of all the Unions within the Global Aegis Federation and Alliance of Non-Aligned Nations stand side-by-side in front of the Eiffel Tower. The flags of each union waves behind each of the leaders. A massive crowd has formed, thousands of people, as a public display of world-leaders like this is rare. Zachary Axalis steps up the microphone and speaks.

<Axalis> "Hello, citizens of France! My name is Zachary Axalis, leader of the French Union. You all may be wondering why all of these world leaders are standing together, well, the answer is simple: The Global Aegis Federation and Alliance of Non-Aligned Nations are merging into a super-alliance named the International Defense Federation!"

The crowd cheers for several seconds, he stands quietly until the cheering sises.

<Axalis> "This alliance will consist of the French Union, Japanese Junta, United States of America, Kingdom of Italy, Slavic Union, South European Union, Ottoman Republic, and the Caribbean League. In this alliance, you will not be obligated to join in a war unless a participant is losing land; in this alliance, we will defend you from the Shanghai Pact; and in this alliance, we will push the boundaries of technology. This is not just a military alliance, but an economic and scientific one as well! A summit will be held in France every year to discuss issues that are not imminent. No one fear the Shanghai Pact, for the International Defense Federation is here!"

The crowd cheers again, the flag of the International Defense Federation falls in front of the flags of the individual nations.

Once he returns to Eysalle Palace, the woman at the desk speaks.

<Woman> "Dr. President, we received a phone call from President Kiser of the Australian Union about an hour ago. We told him you would email him once you returned from the IDF announcement."

<Axalis> "Thank you, I will write him now."

He walks into his office and flips on the television, he hates complete silence. Every news channel he had was reporting on the International Defense Federation, even the channel in Mandarin. As he continues to flip through, he laughs,

<Axalis> "Bet they're not going to take that last line of mine well."

As he flips through, he hears a station mention Venezuela and flips back to it.

<Reporter> "It seems these alliances are building up fast, just as the IDF has been formed, an official announcement was done by Venezuela about them joining the Shanghai Pact."

He chokes on his tea for a second.

<Axalis> "Damn it... well, what did I expect? They hate the United States and after this merging, there is no way they are joining the alliance. I may begin supplying the Caribbean troops, even if I can't send them men."

He calls a man into his office.

<Axalis> "Inform General Curie to begin sending war supplies to the Caribbean. Approach from the north and stay in international or allied waters, if Venezuela fires on us it would only be to their detriment. Also, we may begin to prefer Brazil as a trading partner over Venezuela, so have that trade plan ready to be executed in the event of a crisis with Venezuela and the Shanghai Pact."

The man begins to walk out, but Axalis calls him back.

<Axalis> "Oh! and get someone to refill my tea, please."

He hands him the empty mug.

<Man> "Yes sir."

Once the man leaves the room, Axalis cracks his knuckles and begins writing.

After he clicks send on that remarkably short email, he collects his tea from the man and goes through papers for the rest of the night. New arms are being brought to their new allies in the Caribbean and the Slavs. Operation "Industrialize the Horn" has been scrapped as it is under constant threat by the Ivory Union, and they have instead turned to Zaire and surrounding area. North African areas are also under consideration for this project.
