"Thank you for the hospitality." Maviri looked around the halls, and said "Very interesting design of your ship. Is this the usual design or is it unique?"

"Whist each class of our starship have their own unique style, Starfleet ships all share the same basic layout and design" Steven replied "Valiant is a Galaxy-IV class Explorer, Stable cruise velocity of Warp 9.99, 38 decks, crew compliment of 1,200"

"Impressive. It's very different from the vessels back home. What kind of propulsion do you use for it? Dark matter?"

"Our warp engines are fueled by the reaction of matter, deuterium and anti-matter, antideuterium, mediated through an assembly of dilithium crystals, which are nonreactive with antimatter when subjected to high-frequency electromagnetic fields. This reaction produces a highly energetic plasma, called electro-plasma or warp plasma, which is channeled by plasma conduits through the electro-plasma system (EPS). The electro-plasma is funneled by plasma injectors into a series of warp field coils, located in our warp nacelles" Steven replied "Over the years we've been able to raise the efficiancy of our process"

'Thats interesting. Is it hard to collect the substance? For our ships, we use a substance called dark matter, you might have heard of it. We have some time collecting it. Its relitavly easy to collect once you find it, but refining is the hard part. But, its clean and efficient."

"It's generally quite easy, In fact our ships can collect Anti-matter from Nebulas, and other spacial anomolies by using our Bussard Collectors" Steven replied "And the deuterium can easily be replicated by Starbase Grade replicators, or starships in small amounts, The Anti-matter reaction is usually safe as long as the numerous safety measures, most critically the Magnetic constrictors, are active, these are redundant systems that require a lot of damage to go off-line, but such failure would result in a Warp Core breach"

"Haha, yes. It is a pain when things go wrong. We collect the old fashioned way with manual collectors that we must send out on smaller ships. If you are willing, we would be able to pay for schematics of your collector tech. That is a secondary part of our mission, collect new tech." Vet was hoping for yes, but did not expect it. She knew others may nor like to share tech.

"I'll have to clear it with Starfleet Operations" Steven replied "But I see no issue, It'll require a structural re-think of ships you want to put them on, as they require a large amount of space, and can emmit harmful radiation when the collection is un-processed, which is a reason why ours are on the end of our Warp Naccels"

"Hmm." She said, "Well, I'm sure that would be easiest on one of our larger ships. Most of the time they just have excess cargo or excess power conducts. What would be the estimated value for the schem's?"

"Of course. Antimatter sources are not uncommon in our home system. We would be glad to share them, along with friendship. I can not speak for the entire Commonwealth, but I'm sure that the entire testimony of the crew would be enough the convince the council that it would be wise. Grand Councilor Raxi Jantilion would most likely be glad to have more interstellar friends."

Steven smiled, another success for Starfleet Diplomacy. They continued walking until they reached a turbolift.
"Would you like to go to Sickbay first or prefer a tour first?" Steven asked.

Steven smiled
"Of course, in that case we'll start in Enginneering" Steven replied as they stepped inside the Turbolift "Deck 26, Engineering"
With that the Turbolift set of towards the ships Main Engineering.

While the lift sent them to there destination, Maviri asked "If you don't mind my query, what is the societal structure of your people? It seems rather orderd on deck. Is it caste based or...?"

"Hmm. Interesting. Our society is based off of our ancient castes, but not as strict as ancient times. Now, you may rise in caste, but you are still born into one. After you come to a certain age, you are taken on by a teacher who evaluates your skills, and passes you to a teacher of the caste with your best skills. It really has no effect now on social status, but it helps keep things in check and to let people use the skills they are best at. Otherwise, it is fully equal." Maviri looked around, but the lifts were different in Nua Gealach. "Are we almost to level 26?"

"We've been on deck 26 for over a minute" Steven replied, It's just taking us along to the correct section"
The Turbolift stopped and allowed them to leave. They left and walkeda long the corridor to the Main Engineering. The Room was spread around the Massive warp core that was pulsing with blue light as the ship moved through warp. From Enginneering much of the ships systems could be controlled and dealt with from the room. Although for most repairs engineers would have to go out onto location.

"We've got around four hundred Engineers, with jobs ranging from Chief Engineer to Warp Field specialist to Weapons Specialist" Steven replied "Everyone does a specific job, and every job, if needed a Starfleet officer might be able to repair an entire ship, it would just take a lot longer"

"Amazing. Most of our people know two many jobs as well, but usually only specializes in one. I myself am a captain, but am also skilled in other fields. My class is Assassin Priest, but the title priest was just formalized long ago to keep tradition. So, you say a officer could repair the warp? That is most impressive. I would just cut my hand off."

"Everyone on this ship knows how to repair the ship" Steven replied "However, for most officers it would be all but impossible for them to repair something as complex as the Warp Drive, but an Engineer certainly would"

"Well, we'll go to the Forward Mess hall, via the holodecks" Steven replied leading the way back along the corridor to the turbolift.
