In light of recent events which has seen the author of the most recent "Liberate Haven" proposal get DEATed for threatening to create a programme to hack into regions with passwords, I'd like to personally implore all users of said authors NS++ extension to uninstall it from their browsers, particularly if you use it to manage puppets or important accounts. Seeing as it only took me two clicks using NS++ to manually download all the login details for my puppets and main account, there's nothing stopping the extensions author - who is clearly not in a good mood at this point - from lashing out in rage and doing the same.

I doubt it. Afforess isn't a raider, and he's the only person I know of in the game who is likely to try anything like that.

Good point.

However, with Afforess you have to agree with me we're dealing with someone who's a bit more dangerous than your normal NS player. Threatening to crack open Haven's password for a proposal seems pretty childish, but at the same time it is very unethical to blackmail people out of spite or as retaliation.

Afforess wasn't acting as a raider, he was acting as a free agent.

As such, I don't think misplacing Afforess into the raider camp is a good idea. However, I am sure some of the more amoral raiders would like to see such tool developed.

So we agree that bruteforcing passwords from regions is not okay. Good.
Why is using the SC to do the same thing somehow better? In fact I'd say it's worse, you can't easily replace an SC-stripped password.
