OOC: Ok. The main attack on the Kuril Islands by Gigaverse is RETCONNed. Some of the actions however that doesn't directly involve the Kuril Islands, can be RETCONed as you wish, but you can keep it in as you want.

Kuril Islands

Soon, the enemies were invading. The Kuril Government called for the rise of the Kuril Military (which comprised of around 3880 Soldiers) to attack down the enemy invaders. The enemy on the southern island of (I'll just say it, if you want, you can choose which Island in the Kuril Archipelago gets hit by the Monarchists.) Kunashir were called to be repelled off at all costs. The Soldiers from the other islands get sailed over by boat, and Cai Ch'eng calls for two 12-Plane squadrons of JH-7 Fighter-Bomber planes - from the former Air Guard of Cheng T'an if he ever had to leave the country by plane - to be sent to Kunashir to help the West Aurelian Planes bomb out the Eskovolian Command Center, as well as to protect the boats. All in all, 24 JH-7 Planes are being sent. Meanwhile, the 750 Soldiers from Kunashir who were mostly Iberian, shelled the enemy FOB with 3 BM-13 (Katyusha) Rocket Launchers and 2 M270 Rocket Launchers - all of the Rocket Artillery they could get - as well as mortars. Some of the mortars were proper, like the Soviet M1943 Mortar and the American M29 Mortar, and were used for long ranged mortar fire, but most of the mortars were improvised mortars - Mortars borrowed from Kuril Insurgency Groups that were once used to destroy government property, or local police stations. They had slightly lower maximum range, but they did the job as a mortar.

Fighter planes targeted ground forces with thermal lenses, but is also being hindered by the heat generated is some areas.
The scout group has recently found a city near the north and has now begun occupying it.

The OKT I tanks mounted with the BM-13 has now fired to north and southern directions in response of the almost-death killing of the "MAIN" command centre, With a chance of killing some patrols of Kuril Military ( not known yet but may cause injuries ) and 8,230 military grenadiers has recently been dropped into the island. Preparing an assault to Kunashir. Supported by 4 OKT V tanks and 2 OKS I which is feared for it's immense armored and firepower capabilities.

Repairs has been established, despite heavy damage and the fact that we can still use another one the generals "believe" that this may lead to using fake intelligence aganist the enemy, "barbwire clusters" has been put into routes that might be used by enemy forces and Command is sending OLW V planes ( heavy jet fighters and interceptors) and 2,000 grenadiers of Gansu , and 8 OLA M/87M artillery pieces and ten OKT IV tanks.

Military Commanders now suggests launching of a ICBM to Chagatay to deter republican forces, this request approval is currently pending.

[Republic of Coldwater]

Ulanbaatar
Soldiers were finally able to root out many monarchist forces. Out of 6,000 troops, 93 had died and 172 were injured. The injured were medvaced to the airport. Medical Supplies, food, ammo and other military necessities are being shipped to the airport to make the airport a military base for the Coldwaterans on the Mongolian front. Coldwater Soldiers are also being a temporary police force, while Coldwater MPs are taking the positions, Coldwater is asking the Republican government to instill a permanent police force. Many Monarchist Garrisons in Ulanbaatar are being cleared out for Coldwater troops. They will serve as deployment centers for the Coldwaterans and Republican Forces.

Hainan
It was decided that Lhasa would have to be taken by the Republicans too. Two regiments (both sized at 4,500), the 1st and 2nd Mountain Corps were deployed to Lhasa. They will be airdropped near the airport, where they will seize the airport and use it as a base on the Tibetan Front. They are deployed in Stealth-Coated Tilt Rotors to avoid detection by Monarchist Radar.

Lhasa

Seeing the Coldwateran push to take Lhasa, F/A-36s and MQ-25s were deployed to assist. Attacking important targets, they covered the Coldwateran assault on the airport. While the F/A-36s went for more difficult targets, the MQ-25s mainly focused on attacking large amounts of troops surrounding the airport.

Guótǔ and Gansu

The large large Guótǔ and Gansu provinces warranted the use of B-33 strategic bombers escorted by F/A-36s. Flying into monarchist territory, the F/A-36s attacked AA guns, SAM sites, and radar sites while the B-33s attacked large masses of troops, supply depots, command centers, and infrastructure. Hopefully the republicans will strike while the monarchists are still recovering from the heavy bombings.

OOC: You said something about a stray Western Eskovalian Plane that betrayed the rest and headed for Republican Airspace, and I decided to respond by sending planes to rescue it. What happened to that plane?

The Kuril Islands

The OKT 1 Tanks were old, and ancient. The weapons that the Kuril Military had were also old, but they weren't ancient. The newer Mortars, as well as newer or old, ancient but better artillery helped level the playing field. In response, Thompson Machine Guns with Drum Rounds (most were 100-bullet magazines) were air-dropped to show the enemy that they also had magazines with a lot of fire. Sure, they weren't as much, but it worked, and it felt more precise. In response to the enemy flying in more planes, Cai Ch'eng called for sending a single 12-Plane Squadron of Boeing B-52s, as well as two 22-Plane Squadrons of 20 Later-Version MiG-21s and 2 F-15C fighters. They only sent four, as they were reserves from Cheng T'ans interesting stash of Military Airplanes from Blueprints to real planes, from somewhere in Inner Mongolia, and it took time to make more F-15s. Meanwhile, more M29 Mortars were being sent, and 20 Type 69 Tanks were being sent to Kunashir as well. Guerilla Soldiers from the Kuril Insurgent Groups were soon being used for scouting and to disrupt the defense of the West Eskovalian FOB, and coincidentally, they were also sometimes used as a shield to the main force from the Barbed Wire Clusters of the enemy, as well as being used to help destroy some of their tanks and artillery pieces, and also had a major battle against a scouting group attempting to capture a city to the north of Kunashir. Cai Ch'eng responded to the enemy sending more soldiers with sending 13 000 Soldiers from Sakhalin to the Kuril Islands. These men were trained by the "Dogs of War" Mercenary Group, but they still didn't get as much training as a normal soldier would.

Mainland China

Soon, most of the Enemy were repelled straight out of Mongolia. Out of the entire battle, around 7850 of the remaining 22 500 Monarchist soldiers had either commited suicide or defected. Out of that group, 5425 of the group defected, and 3425 of the group killed themselves, sometimes even via suicide bombing or lighting themselves on fire and rushing towards the nearest gas source. Out of the remaining 14 650, 2650 of those men had actually died via Republican hands, only leaving 12 000 soldiers left. This gave a massive blow to Monarchist morale, especially in comparison of Republican Losses. Out of the 74 750 remaining, only 2250 of them had died in the battle, and most of them were due to suicide bombings and burnings by suicidal Monarchist soldiers. This lead to a massive migration of former Monarchists to the Republican side, including the commander Lok Hsing, who was the "commander" of the Monarchist Forces in Mongolia. When he defected, he told Republican Reporters about his experiences. He wasn't in command in any of the Camps, and he got tired of Cheng T'an's impossible demands and refusal of sending more soldiers to Mongolia. Cai Ch'eng responded by giving him an offer to retire - he decided to join active military service among the Republican Ranks, as a General. Outside of Mongolia, out of the 700 000 soldiers in charge of holding the front line in Tibet, a Quarter of those men attempted to defect to the Republicans, and most of these defectors were shot for cowardice and betrayal. Meanwhile, the Republicans just marched into Gansu after West Aurelian bombings. In the west of Mongolia, the Republican Soldiers only had a few minor battles along the way, and there were barely any Monarchist soldiers with morale high enough to fight the Republicans. After the fall of Ulaanbaatar, Inner and Outer Mongolia were seemed to be united once more. On September the 3rd, when more of Outer Mongolia were united, the former "Occupied Territory of Outer Mongolia" was merged with the Province of Inner Mongolia. The next day, Hui Huang visited Kökeqota (OOC: Basically, it's Real Life Hohhot.) and from there, he declared a new Province of Chagatay - The Province of Mongolia, with it joining the provinces of Manchuria, Korea, and China. September the 4th was declared a Provincial Holiday, to celebrate the unification of Mongolia. The day was now called: "Negdel Day", or "Unification Day".

During that time, the Republican Army marched into the Guotu Province, and the invading 175 000 Republican Forces soon went to the cities surrounding Urumqi, where 75 000 of the Monarchist Soldiers around the area just retreated into Urumqi, while the 25 000 remaining soldiers stayed behind and battled the forces.

Her feed was streamed across the world as she nears her podium. As she walks out from the building, the Liberty Call, a song composed by soldiers during the Mongolian Campaign was played. She reaches in front of her podium, and the cheering and ecstatic crowed fixated their attention towards the woman. She checks her microphone and begins to speak

Citizens of the Chagatay Republic, Republican Soldiers, soldiers from Coldwater and of course, everyone across the world, I am truly humbled to speak in front of you in such a joyous occasion. One year ago here, he clutches of tyranny persecuted anyone who wasn't a member of the Han race, one year ago this place was ruled by a tyrannical despot who had no reservations for the government, one year ago Chagatay was surrounded by a fortress of despotism. However today, the waves of liberty have knocked down those despicable despotic walls. In MRVs, APCs, Jeeps, Tanks and of course on foot, they begin to fire at large concentrations of Monarchy forces. 4,000 troops were deployed to seize the building, while the remaining 5,000 were deployed to seize the rest of the airport. Coldwater DR-37 Hypersonic Strike drones fire missile after missile at Monarch forces as OA-80 Stealth Bombers begin to near Lhasa, where they will engage in mass high-yield carpet bombings.

The pilot's fate is unknown yet. ( Chagatay please respond to the pilot's fate ) and got also R-98M rifles ( heavily modified AK-74's to fire their own powerful intermediate 6.79x76R round ) which replaced some Gewehr 43's and PPsh''s.

Soviet MiG-23 and Foreign F-32's ( 23 of them in service ) has now replaced the older jets and is being sent to Mongolia and Kuril Islands, And additional 9,300 grenadiers has been sent to Mongolian Front lines,

Anti-tank traps were made to defend the monarchist side of Kunarshir while making a passage for tanks , troops to attack republican territory.
Artillery BM-13 ( with holes to cover the blast ) was placed on monarchist-occupied hills to fire on enemy positions and even enemy mid-flying jets!
Conscript Grenadiers ( fresh , recruit , poorly equipped at first ) armed with Berthier Carbines , Karabiners , Mosin Nagants , or if lucky a imported M1 Garand.

OOC: That seems to be too much tanks and men. That's more than what was used in the Battle of Kursk, one of the biggest tank battles in history. That's kinda a bit much for a nation of 14 Million people, or whatever you want the population to be. I suggest looking for real life nations with around the same sized population, and see how giant their military is. The plane however...

In the ruins of a city. With some of the bodies of Brother and Sister still gathered around the city, and with the airport being repaired, the Vice President of Coldwater Catherine Johnson had inspired the people of Ulaanbaatar, and indeed, millions who were watching in Republican-Controlled territory. A few hours before her speech, Hui Huang had finished his announcement in Inner Mongolia, and soon took a Helicopter ride to Ulaanbaatar, down to Chenggis Khan Airport. His Helicopter arrived a hour before Catherine's speech, and he sat in the back while she had her speech. After her speech was finished, Hui walked up the podium, and once he got on, he started. His speech was also broadcasted everywhere. Everywhere, except for official TV stations in Monarchist-Controlled areas.

People of Mongolia, the People of Chagatay, and the people of the Earth. I am here, just as a human being who stands here today, leading the fight for freedom. On July the 28th, 2014, the brave people of Chagatay went out onto the streets to protest the oppression. Oppression of the 4 Races of the Mongols, Manchurians, Koreans, and Tibetans. Oppression that has lasted for half a millennium. Due to this, languages have been driven to extinction like the languages of the Tibetans, or fallen into only a few like the Manchu Language, and those which had just barely missed the bullet of Extinction like the language of the Koreans. Now, months later, we are now here. Here, fighting to liberate the people that Cheng T'an still has his slipping grasp on. From those in the Chinese Province, to those in Manchuria, to the Koreans of Korea, to the now-united province of Mongolia, and to the Tibetans who are listening today, managing to dodge the oppression of Cheng T'an, the 5 races are united as one. We thank our brave soldiers, the brave soldiers of foreign countries sent to help in the fight, and we shall remember them. But, we must also remember our brothers that were fighting against us, as they are one but many, of the many bodies that still lay here today. They have been sent to fight against their will. Even so, peace shall be obtained, but in this peace, may all deaths, of those fighting for us, and those fighting against us, be remembered forever. Kampfgrenadier 94th scout group is sent to Kunashir ( 8 OKT V tanks and 2,000 men ) to defend from republican attacks.
The "main" is almost destroyed, but is heavily repaired with improvised materials ( and even old Kevlar vest rests on top of the command centres roof in hopes of blocking bullets.

The Western Eskovalian fighters being sent to Mongolia were detected by a soaring E-35. It immediately alerted the closest F/A-36s. The heavily armed stealth fighters raced to intercept the enemy.

Lhasa

At the airport, MQ-25s swooped down, firing their machine guns and missiles at monarchist forces. Coldwateran troops advanced under the protection of the drones. As each city fell, so did monarchist morale.

MQ-25s were deployed to the Kurils from their carriers to conduct reconnaissance on Western Eskovalian forces.

OOC: The number of weapons are decent, but you are so close to having a comfortable range. Probably around the 25 000 to 30 000 range will be good, but I now recognize them.

IC:

The Republicans in the Guotu Province soon respond against the Grenadiers with their experience, and sheer numbers. Their experience from Mongolia, as well as their Cold-War era instead of World War 2 era weapons, help their chances or repelling the Grenadiers, conscript or not. The Mongol Garrisons soon move in to push back the invaders from re-splitting Mongolia again.

Meanwhile in the Kuril Islands, the rest of the Kuril Military of around 3000, and Cai Ch'eng's reinforcements of now 25 000 Soldiers arrive to the Kuril Islands. They arrive with fresh Mortars, and other weapons like the Type 63 APC, Type 66 Towed Artillery, and the Type 83 SPH, to be used against the enemy. Meanwhile, another 12-Plane Squadron of B-52 Bombers were sent to Kunashir for Carpet-Bombing missions against the invaders.

19 OKT VI tanks has been sent in after months of just putting it on the border of Ikari, to invade Chagatay and 2,000 grenadiers and 4,000 conscripts are sent by land.

6 C124 planes ( and covered by a 25 MiG-23's ) is to fly over Lhasa and take over it ( each carrying 200 men and one OTJK II ) and after taking it, get Wangda and Lijang.
This plan was almost outrageous. The commanders dictate that republican AA might bring most of it down, whilst true, Artillery 125mm P/30Ms will fire "predescribed" AA positions and military targets on Lhasa first THEN the C124's go in, which convinced most of commanders.

The Conscriptkampf stormed at 3 flanks which is a plan to surround the city and "eradicate" the Mongols.
additional reinforcements will come soon in mid-way battle, the conscriptkampf may or may not get the Guotu province, but may as hell sure damage it.

The United Remnants of America sent their 4th army under the control of Chagatay. They have been used in the campaign for Mongolia, as well as helped in training some recruits. When the Republican Soldiers left to take over the Guotu Province, the Remnant 4th Army were placed in control of the North and North-West border, along the borders of Mongolia and the Guotu Province. When the Western Eskovalians moved in to try and invade Chagatay, these 200 000 guys, as well as a 10 000 grouping of Local Republican soldiers were there to say hello. And they were also there to say goodbye.

F/A-36s raced to the site of the Western Eskovalian invasion of mainland Chagatay. Due to the large amount of troops, the fighters were mainly armed with Thumper gravity bombs, which were dropped on large masses of troops. The F/A-36s were also armed with Shock Hammers, Throat Rippers, and Whispers in the event that targets requiring laser-guided munitions appeared. MQ-25s and E-35s soared over the battlefield, gather intelligence and scanning the air for enemy aircraft, respectively.

[Dogs of War]

Meanwhile the Mercenaries have not been idle. Few in numbers but highly motivated the primarily carry out reccon missions. On the Kuril Islands the DoW mount several amphibious operations, using small boats to move between the islands and gather intelligence on the royalist forces. When possible they forward the positions of enemy SAMs to the republican forces. On the ground they also try to identify the AA-Guns fielded by the royalists to check if they have enough range to be a threat to the modern fighter planes used by Coldwater and West Aurelia.



All the units assigned to the body guards of various VIPs continue with their jobs and enjoy the speeches. To counter the massive influx of pro-royalist troops the mercenaries use the men in the training camps to build up equally massive mock armies. Mongolia's wide plains are a nice place for tank warfare and so hundreds of mock tanks are put up to mimic Coldwater troops near the recently liberated towns.


In the mountains of Tibet the Mercenaries are equally active. Searching for enemy SAM positions and engaging in psychological warfare. Whenever possible they prove to the population and the outside world that the republican forces can move around freely due to massive popular support. Occasionally they try to engage with the enemy to minimize its movement. Through sniper fire, mines and ambushes. Striking only when escape is possible and victory certain to minimize their own losses. When a situation turns out to be too dangerous they stay hidden and far away from combat. Besides looking for enemy strongholds they spend a good deal of time getting to eventually downed allied pilots and recovering shot down drones before the enemy. Every unit operating in Tibet should be accompanied by friendly locals if ever possible.



While on the march the mercenaries spread the rumors of large rewards for those who help downed allied pilots and recover drones. Missions to capture enemy officers are rare and difficult but when the opportunity arises to take a royalist or even an interventionist officer into custody the mercenaries are even willing to take a slight risk. They have expert interrogators and all information will be passed on to Coldwater and West Aurelia. They are primarily interested in the location and the current situation of royalist internment camps. Useless to mention that military intelligence is equally valuable and will be forwarded to the republicans whenever possible.



If successful the mercenary operations will lead to better and more precise intel for the allied troops. Drones, satellites, veteran recon troops on the ground and the knowledge of friendly locals should provide good data to hit the enemy where it hurts while avoiding casualties at the same time.

[Republic of Coldwater]

Lhasa
Monarchist Reinforcements never seem to come, as Coldwater troops make further swaths into enemy territory. The 0A-80 Stealth Bombers now arrive in Lhasa, and begin to unleash their incendiary fury upon the Monarchist forces in downtown Lhasa. They mainly target political and military structures, along with infrastructure and energy plants to cut the power, cut communications and slow the sending of reinforcements. MR-29 Stealth Multiroles, flying at Mach 4.75 arrive at Lhasa, and begin to fire at Monarchist Forces on the airport, whilst others fire air-air missiles at West Eskovalian Forces which were detected by their radars whilst going into Lhasa.

Mongolia
Seeing that the West Eskovalian Forces begin to attack Mongolia, Coldwater sends in a division of 10,000 Men, armed with modern weapons to repel the invasion. Attack Choppers give close-air support whilst DR-37s unleash missiles from 97,000 Feet up in the sky. Coldwater Soldiers move in via vehicles and on foot to take the rest of Mongolia.

OOC: Kokonor is basically an old province, that existed years before Cheng T'an's coronation, and was merged with Zuungar (Basically, Xinjiang.) in the Regencies "Centralization Act of 1950", an act that created the basis for the Republic's Provinces of Tibet, Guotu, Mongolia, Manchuria, Korea, and China.

IC: Meanwhile, the Republicans marched into the south-eastern half of the Guotu province, once known as "Kokonor". When they marched in, they quickly surrounded Xining; the former capital of Kokonor before the Centralization Act of 1950, in where Xining and Zuungar were united into one province - the Guotu Province. The city was surrounded by 125 000 Republicans, trapping in the 75 000 Monarchists. The same odds as were in Ulaanbaatar, but with more soldiers to kill. Katyusha Rockets were quickly fired at important military buildings, and even the Ma Bufang Mansion, the former mansion of Ma Bufang, one of the people on the regency council from 1945 to 1957. The damage to the mansion was around 25%.

Lhasa

An AC-20 Warlord CAS gunship was deployed over the Lhasa airport. Its Pulverizer cannons and M1017 miniguns pounded monarchist forces, allowing Coldwateran troops to continue their assault. MQ-25s and F/A-36s were ordered to stop using explosive munitions as Coldwateran troops were too close to the monarchist positions. The drones continued their surveillance flights while the fighters pulled back to the nearest available airbases. AH-9 Annihilator attack helicopters were deployed in their place, using their M1017s to attack the monarchists.

Xining

Seeing the republican advance into Xining, MQ-25s and F/A-36s were deployed. The drones would spot targets for the fighters to destroy. Main targets, as always, were AA guns, SAM sites, radar sites, command centers, supply depots, important infrastructure, and large masses of troops.
