A region has never entered WorldVision before, only nations. I wouldn't be able to say if that was open for change seeing as I don't run the contest, though you could enter as one of the constituent nations of that region.

Does it specifically prohibit "constuent nations" from sending their own entries to international contests?

eh, we at WorldVision never required our paticipants to be sovereign states... those are a foreign concept, NationStates has nations and regions.

Also, since you're citing RL wikipedia for everything about your NS country (sovereign state, whatever), you should perhaps know that there is no "United Kingdom" football team, but England, Scotland, and Wales all have their own.

So, enough of these word games, is your NS nation signing up?

No, I don't. I'm American.

So, it's just a giant European singing contest?

Basically. As far as WorldVision, this is my first one as well, but from what I gather by reading the 10th contest thread, basically each person writes a song in the thread. Parodies are allowed, but not covers. Then each nation votes which nations get 12, 10, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1 points. Most points wins!

Okay... here's the break down. Before the actual contest starts, there is the national finals thread, where the song a country sends to the contest is decided... it is preffered that a national contest, with other participating songs, and a way to decide the winner is posted, but it's not require, and on can also simply post "the (nation name) entry will be (song title), by (artist name)".

Then there's the actual contest where the songs are performed. You post your songs performance here, like what happens on the stage and such. It should also include the song lyrics. Once all participating countries have done so, the voting begins. each nation votes which nations gets 12, 10, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1 from them points. The nation with the most points at the end wins the contest.

If you have poetry skills, it might work as well, because really people just post lyrics.

no actual music skills are necessary. Writing a parody of an existing song works well enough.
