RENAULT India currently market five models here, the Pulse, Scala, Fluence, Duster and Koleos but they have announced that some additional models may make their way here for 2015.

First to make its way here may be the medium-sized Laguna, sold in Europe and Astholm. In Europe, it offers a choice of four-cylinder petrol engines and a turbodiesel, but if it makes its way here, expect a 2.0-litre/130bhp turbodiesel, given our preference for diesels. Priced at around €29,990 in Europe, (that's about Rs. 2,400,329, or £23,963), it's marketed as a premium hatch, which might be something interesting in our market.

The second model is as yet unknown; we expect it to be a crossover of some sort.

Marines Deployed to Jerusalem
Jerusalem- A recent increase in attacks by a Jewish Insurgency have led to the calling in of Marines. The Marines from the 1st Marine Brigade are expected to help get the area under control. A recent spike in insurgency has been linked to a drought, Judaism, LGBTQ activity and economic issues. The city of Jerusalem was a Jewish stronghold until Israel fell to Rouge Dawn. The Marines are also being given complete control over the area near Jerusalem. The first Platoon of Marines are expected to arrive in the area by early Wednesday.

The Rouge Dawn Navy is helping transport the marines to the destination. The Navy is firing cruise missiles at Jerusalem and the missiles are aimed at Jewish Landmarks. AC-130's are patrolling the air space bombarding the city with auto-cannon fire and rocket fire. The city of Jerusalem is now in ruins reports say after the latest bombing runs.

Parliament Passes Genetic Sanitation Bill
London- The Parliament recently passed the Genetic Sanitation Bill, a bill which states that those who are disabled are to be sterilized or killed. The bill will be put in effect on September 1st, the diseases include Autism, HIV, Down Syndrome, and Anger Issues. The bill was passed for the sake of the safety of Rouge Dawn. Floyd Pinkerton signed the bill today. Police Forces are already sending out letters to those who have the diseases. Sterilization stations are being set up across Rouge Dawn, for there convenience.

The Law and Order Department stated that those who are deemed diseased and fail to be sterilized by October 1st will be arrested and executed. The Rouge Guards at the border are being put on high alert in case of any escaping people, they are ordered to shoot to kill them. Some of the Rouge Guards are being reprimanded because of how reluctant they are to shoot.

Terrorists Take Hostages at Department of Defense!

Panic in Archoist as 103 hostages were taken, at approximately 8:00 this morning. The hostage takers were believed Communist insurgents, who are trying to show weaknesses in the defense system. They are believed to be armed with military- grade wepons. The Archweldian Peacekeepers (like the F.B.I.) have dispatched S.W.A.T. and Army Special Forces. Sources say that the terrorists dressed the hostages in armor, so the military could not tell the difference. Minister of Defense James King, who was not at the building, had this to say:

"These terrorists will not defeat us. We are a democracy, they must learn that!"

New Car Review: Mercury Mountaineer

For 2015, Mercury have decided to give the Mountaineer a facelift. Although it looks similar to the 2006-2010 car, it has taken some styling cues from the new Ford Explorer, so it isn't a fully-rebadged Ford this time, it still remains a curious mix of 90s and 00s styling.
Under the bonnet, the 4.0-litre/210bhp V6 and 4.6-litre/292bhp V8 remain unchanged, although there's talk of a more powerful V6 being added possibly.

Trim levels are available; Base and Premier. The Premier model is the more upmarket of the two, and we expect buyers will go for that over the Base spec car.

Base models seat five and include 17-inch wheels, a six-way power driver seat, cruise control, full power accessories, a leather-wrapped tilt steering wheel with audio controls and a CD player with an auxiliary audio jack. Optional is a Third-Row Seat package that adds a fold-flat 50/50-split rear bench and auxiliary climate control. Also available on the base trim is the Comfort package that provides leather upholstery, heated front seats, a 10-way power driver seat, a six-way power passenger seat and dual-zone climate control.

The Premier adds 18-inch wheels, running boards, aluminum side mirror caps, dual-zone air-conditioning, leather seating, 10-way power driver seat, reclining second-row seats, a third-row seat, satellite radio and the Sync system that allows voice control of music and cell phones.

Prices have yet to be announced, but a local representative told us the old-generation will continue alongside it, and there will be fleet/police versions as well (of which its related version, the Ford Explorer, already offers).

this year marks the Fifty years we as a nation have been honored to be ruled by King Draugr X after his mother The Wolf Queen Petómuís so called for his political savagery whom ruled as Queen from 1899 to 1954. He has as such ruled over the nation and as such brought on many things including the National Health Authority, Education Acts of 1962 and 1988, Equal Marriage Act, and National Firearms Act. He however also presided over several unpopular foreign ventures most notably the intervention in the War in Minh as well as two major Financial downturns from 1961-1967 and from 1999-2005. He obviously has a mixed record as do almost all monarchs but let's take a look at his career this far.

Like many within the monarchy he is a Christian and member if the Church if Insaeldor although his interpolation of his faith has changed and in fact he has seemed to grow stronger in his faith over the years. As a 39 year old new ruler he was very brash and harsh and had been called a Neo-conservative by many in the media, but by the 80's he had started to center out in his beliefs. As of now many have called him a "Left Christian" and has been a proponent of peace and equality and has used his faith to justify his views.

Since the late 50's King Draugr has been an active member of the government taking the opposite path that his mother took in governing the nation. He was a common sight in the Council of Commons proposing and talking with members if the Council often acting as mediator. His first acts were aimed at diversifying the somewhat stagnant economy which initially back firing as the nation entered a resection in the early 60's but he and the people weathered the storm and by the 70's the economy took off faster then ever giving much needed economic growth. With this increased growth he also started to invest more heavily into education passing two laws which both increased educational funding and improved the system greatly. After this he seemed to settle down when it came to progressive legislation until 1997 when he worked tirelessly with a fairly uncooperative Council to finally establish the National Health Authority which provided cheap and efficient healthcare to the masses. This however was hindered as the economy took a turn for the worst in the worst financial and banking crisis in the nations history. This obstructed the ability of the NHA and lead to doubts about its ability to operate properly. After the financial crash and some minor tweeking and reform the NHA has become a model agency by the end of the decade.

His rule has however been plagued by early military engagements most not only the war in Minh which on the home front was at first popular. It was a war against communist Rebels and in support of a fellow monarchy but after awhile the war grew unpopular as soldiers started dying in large number and returning soldiers coming back with major metal and Phycological issues. By wars end the kings reputation had be severely damaged for which it took years to recover from. This also marked his transition from a hardcore Neo-con to someone with moderate views as well as his deepening of his faith in which we see more use of biblical verses in his public appearances.

He is also known for his furthering of democracy within the nation giving more power to Council of Commons and has made them equal to his authority creating a true balance of power within his nation. These are just a few things we can analyze however I am limited to my word count but we can say that not only in the now 89 year old king one of more popular rules of this nation and has been a great unifying figure of the Kingdom.

In the state of West Merkintus there is a small, little known ancient town, tucked away behind colossal mountains, and home to some of the oldest ancient structures in Lingang. The town is known as Kalinad, and last night it was raided and captured by ISWL (Islamic State of Western Lingang). Now, it would normally be very easy for the Linganese Police Force to squash such a rebellion, but today various factors come into play here. One, the western region of Lingang is huge, very arid and sparsely populated, making it hard for the militia to effectively crack down there. Another thing is the fact that ISWL was formed by former police members who were undercover Muslims, making them a formidable force.

It was around 1:11 AM lastnight that the takeover happened, with multiple townspeople reporting hearing gunshots and explosions. "It was, uh, very scary yes", says Jordan Urandar, a man who lives in Kalinad, "We were hearing explosions in the dead of night. I look out the window and see men driving by in trucks, carrying guns and shouting". While nobody was killed, around 52 people were injured in the skirmish between the jihadists and the remaining local militia, who were both outnumbered and outgunned. There have been multiple other reports of very similar Islamic groups in three surrounding states. Palan Regorad, self-proclaimed leader of ISWL, had this to say, "For too long have we Linganese men been oppressed by the white pig dogs! Now it is time for us to rise up, and take what is rightfully ours. Under the name of Allah, let us push on! We will fly the Muslim flag over Strautenburg one day!"

The government has met this news with outrage, and pledged to fight the rebels. "This is a disgrace!", said Lord Hanna Welburg, "It is shameful that our own police force has decided to side with Islam, and threaten the peace in our fine nation! The town of Dover, Esparmuran was quite the scene last night, as off-road police trucks filled the night with sirens blazing throughout the community. A culprit whose name has been protected was arrested in the town for causing a deadly computer virus known as SNOW.exe. The virus functioned as an email that's description gave it the identity that it was an Espar tourism adventisement. Clicking it would cause the virus to execute, which would then start copying all of the files from the hardrive and send them to the culprit. The hackers security firewall was lacking however, and police were quickly able to obtain the man's address. The information the culprit stole was from multiple nations governmental computers, givng the assumption the man was trying to steal classified information from said countries. Officials are not saying what countries information was involved, nor what they will be doing with it.

Interrogating the man caused the police to go hunt down another criminal, as the hacker said he was working with somebody else in Esparmuran to write the virus' code.

King Draugr X Emitted Into The Hospital For Acute Renal Failure

Earlier this evening King Draugr X was flown from his residency in Ýnsegrf to the Royal Medical Instatute in Jaersa for what his personal physician as acute renal failure cause from trams suffered earlier in the week. The King has been administrated to the hospitals but has refused treatment as of now.

The king has stated his reasoning for refusing treatment is that he is old and needs not to live any longer. "There is no reason for them to focus on me. I am 90 years old I have lived a full life and seen far more many things they someone my age will. I am happy and I know how understaffed our medical facilities are and I'd much rather them focus on saving the life of a young man rather then try to save me only to know I'll be back and only add a few extra years to my life." He said to is as he lay I'm bed with nothing more the a simple IV to help hydrate him.

With this in mind the Regency has been called up to take control of government and to choose a successor. While Prince Chrístaan is the clear front runner it is completely within the Regencies power to choose someone other than the heir apparent. This process is scheduled to take a week to choose a successor and with the kings refusal to obtain medical help arrangements for the kings state funeral have been made.

SECOND BATCH OF MILITARY HELICOPTERS ACQUIRED

September 1, 2014 at 02:55 PM (Monday). Just today, the Tolmakian Military Forces commissioned 9 more multipurpose helicopters in an official ceremony that took place in the Wescourt Airfield. The ceremony was held by all branches of the military and attended by Chief Maddhiv Justin, Chief of Defense Staff and Minister Dan Dhesjoy, Minister of Defense.

"Splendid all of this is!" comments Chief Maddhiv Justinian, "These choppers shall be used by all military branches and will continue to improve our logistics support, utility operations and troop transport capabilities". The chief added that the military was expecting another batch of helicopters by september or later in november. In addition, many Tolmakian citizens congratulated the chief and the overall military, showing their delight and support in this news. These citizens showed their support by holding a small festival near the commissioning and christening location.

The Tolmakian Military had placed an order for 45 helicopters in the month of June, 2014. The helicopters were MH1 Gonkchuffirs (otherwise known as "Junk choppers"). On the first day of August (August 1) the first batch of helicopters (5 MH1As) arrived in the Wescourt Military Airfield and were officially commissioned by the Tolmakian Military Forces later in August 14. Just recently in August 21, the 9 helicopters that were commissioned were received. The third batch is due by september or november in its latest

The MH1 Gonkchuffir is a multipurpose helicopter designed locally by the Tolmakian Aerospace Industries, a department of the Tolmakian Defense Industries (DDE). The MH1 was first used in service by the military in 2010 and by Good Blimp Incorporated later in 2011. The helicopter also was shortly introduced to the Pejitean conflict (also nown as the Second Pejitean War) that occurred in the year 2010. Today, the MH1 serves as one of the primary supporters of all military branches

2014 Ācai AF6: Review

Ācai are pretty new to the Austriaco-Italian market; the AF6 is their Mercedes-Benz C-Class contender. Designed by a team of Sri Lankan Astholmians, the brand may well be unknown to the rest of the world, but they intend to become a world leader by 2018.
Ācai means desire in Tamil, the Sri Lankans' native language, and the car capitalizes on this in their advertising presence.

It certainly looks fresh, with an interesting mix of European, Asian and Maredoratican design themes, it being less Germanic than rivals, but not Asian enough to be a Lexus clone.

Styling is very much Ford Taurus-inspired, but it is not a rebadged blue oval; if anything, it looks a bit different to its American inspiration, with lines that are more Europeanized and very definitely not Ford.

The AF6 looks very stylish, and it's longer than the new C-Class (4,686mm long and 1,810mm wide); at 5,019mm long and 1,854mm wide it's certainly spacious, with only the BMW 3-Series (at 4,624mm long and 1,811mm wide) and Audi A4 (4,717mm long and 1,826mm wide).

Engine choices are, for now, a 3.2-litre/254bhp V6 petrol or a 2.2-litre/158bhp 4-cylinder turbodiesel, badged as 2.2 TDCi, both engines of Ācai's own design. We could only test the 2.2-litre/158bhp TDCi, which is pretty good for a diesel engine. With 157PS, it's not the largest in the class, but it's certainly powerful, and economy claimed to be about 62mpg; not quite up to the benchmarks of this class like Mercedes-Benz or VLT, but good for a 2.2 engine. Our car came with a 5-speed manual gearbox, which was good, did everything well, but didn't excel as much as some rivals.

Ride quality is excellent; it's comfortable and solid, supping up the autostrada/autobahn quite nicely. It's quite good to drive, and although there's some body-roll, the ride is still comfortable nonetheless.

In terms of safety kit, seven airbags are offered as standard, radar-guided cruise control and lane-keeping assistance, for those who should get into the wrong lane by mistake.

Moorburgh Shipyard Naval Submarine Service Contract by Dean Hargus Protector Class SSBN Moorburgh Naval Shipyard (MNSY) announced it has obtained a formal contract to offer home support services to six Protector Class SSBN submarines. In a statement on Wednesday, MNSY said its subsidiary; Rockbay Technologies on August 13, 2010 received a letter of award from the Moorburghian government for enforcing a contract worth M$ 800 million and be in force until 30 November 2015. The contract includes a fully integrated logistics support package submarines, contains a comprehensive packet of spare components as well as workshop equipment installation, equipment and facilities in their respective countries as well as the attention and maintenance of them. The contract also includes a tugboat service and operation and sustenance of the ship launchers, and submarines "umbilical services' transfer system . MNSY said, there is no difference between the substance and the official contract award letter.

A spokesperson for Fatatatutti University (FU) has announced that Harlan Escrow has agreed to serve another term as Chancellor. ORBITAL WEAPON REVEALED, DOES NOT WORK SAYS MINISTRY

September 10, 2014 at 01:00 PM (Wednesday). The Ministry of Defense has officially released documents and news to the public about a supposed orbital weapons platform of the republic (as required by the transparency policy). Defense Minister Dan Dhesjoy revealed details about this orbital weapons platform in a press interview just this morning. According to the defense minister, Tolmakia has no such thing in its records and thus came to the conclusion that the weapon could have been mistaken as belonging to the republic. But the documents do tell that the orbiter was of Tolmakian origin and thus could have only been developed without the government's knowledge. This information was only found out just this month from Tolmakian Agency of Aeronautics and Space (TAAS) and Tolmakian Agency of Intelligence and Learning (TAIL) disclosed documents after an internal TAIL issue was resolved.

"It is with great surprise that we have discovered that we had a so-called orbital weapons platform up in the sky. To think we could even have such a thing, and it would have been a pride of the republic had it not been for its illegitimate creation and deployment and subsequent failure in operating. A weapon of such stature could only be developed behind the government's back, and secretly dispatched without its knowledge. How this could be done, we still don't know". The orbiter (dubbed UVF-Dart by documents) was only uncovered on September 2, Tuesday.

On September 7 on a Saturday, the army with the TAAS was able to obtain its control. With the knowledge of the international community, The TAAS tested it many times when it was over the Pacific Ocean. According to the TAAS chief operator, Mr. Lawrence Baker "It has been tried and tested for days and did not fire a single projectile. We have already come to the conclusion that it does not work at all. In other words it's a dud, a piece of junk". After this conclusion, the TAAS had been granted full control. Because of the self-defense policy of the republic, the satellite will be immediately de-orbited and will be expected to reenter the Earth's atmosphere in December 2014. For the meantime, the Republican Investigation Department (RED) shall be investigating the matter and looking for more clues.

According to reports found, the UVF-1 was launched in 1987 by an anonymous contractor. The TAAS could have designed it but could not have launched the satellite without alerting the government or neighboring communities. It was also designed to carry 6 tungsten rods, each the size of a telephone pole. The reason for its creation and deployment remains unknown and the investigating detachment hopes to solve the case and resolve the issue by next year at its latest.

INTERNET SERVER TICKS OFF SUBSCRIBERS

September 13, 2014 at 03:00 AM (Saturday). The popular Tolmakian internet provider, TomSkape underwent maintenance in order to improve its service that started in September 8, Sunday. As a result the internet it provided was cut off for a week but "will be faster, better and more improved", the representative of TomSkape, Mr. Boggis Walter promised. But then the news was not well received by many, especially by many of its subscribers.

Many subscribers criticized TomSkape for conducting this maintenance unannounced or at least largely unheard. According to an internet blogger, Maya Robins "TomSkape is okay, but then its also random at times". Her comment was posted via internet cafe. Within hours, many comments of other TomSkape subscribers posted their complaints. According to the TomSkape statistics of September 7, almost 500,000 Tolmakians lost their access to the internet. Many have even changed their internet service providers.

In response to these complaints. TomSkape representative Mr. Boggis gave an announcement on the TomSkape Twitter. Quoting his tweet, "The maintenance will take at least a week. For those who can't wait, you can just use a temporary internet source. Once our network is done, we will announce it and our internet will be faster and better." Within minutes, the tweet garnered more than 75 comments, favorites and retweets.

TomSkape is one of the top-ten internet server providers of the Republic of Tolmakia. It was created in 2001 and in 2005 topped 3rd place in the most popular internet service providers of the country. TomSkape has been regarded as a trustworthy source of internet while attracting a fair share of criticism. A notable issue was in 2007 when TomSkape was sued for its critical customer service. Since then, it has improved its service and had a change in management. As of 2013, It serves around a million Tolmakians nationwide.

The Ministry of Fisheries is denying rumours that the President's brother-in-law is about to be named Minister. It is not entirely clear whether being related to the President makes it a conflict of interest or whether being a fish is in and of itself a conflict of interest. In any case, neither the Ministry nor other members of Cabinet will acknowledge that any changes are about to take place.

Atlanta- Soldiers today cleaned out the East Coast capturing 20,000 Jews, LGBTQ, Blacks, Cripples and Rebels. The Rouge Guard today confirmed that all of the East Coast was cleaned. Martial Law is being placed in areas near Atlanta, Richmond, Charleston, and Chattanooga. Reports state that areas near Milton, Ga and Crystal River, Fl had a strong hold of LGBTQ, Blacks, Jews and Cripples. The raids started at 1:30 Am local time and ended around 9:00 PM the next day.

An estimated 5 million unpure people live in the East Coast, the majority of them left after the invasion. The Rouge Guard estimates that this number will drop to 3 million by 2030. And 1 Million in 2042. The effort is very costly with an estimated 3 Billion Rouge Dollars being poured into the effort every year. The end product is a possible living area for the pure race of Rouge Dawn people.

The heart of the United Provinces, including the capital, has become engulfed in torrential rain which is expected to cause significant property damage over the next week. While rain is not uncommon in New Korongo in early spring, the amount of rain which has fallen has broken several records. Meteorologists across the country are calling the weather phenomenon which currently grips the capital a 'once in a century storm'. Since the torrential rain began falling yesterday morning, more than 140 centimetres of rain has fallen on the capital and the surrounding area. Widespread surface flooding has been reported in several areas and Mebangy-Ityan International Airport was forced to close yesterday evening after rain water had submerged its runways.

Provincial Guard units in the capital have been mobilised in an effort to contain surface flooding, but Royal Meteorological Service has predicted that the situation will only get worse. It estimates that the amount of rainfall beleaguering the capital will continue to fall over the next week, exasperating the effects which are already being felt. If that was not bad enough, the Ministry of Infrastructure & Housing has predicted that surface flooding will cause more than $300 million in property damage if it continues to fall at the same rate over the next week. The news is not, however, all bad. More than ten thousand people have volunteered to assist welfare groups in the capital which are freely giving supplies to the worst affected by the heavy rain.

Aaron Ross confirms he will lead New Liberals a third time in 2015 election

Prime Minister Aaron Ross has confirmed that he will lead the New Liberal Party for a third time in the 2015 parliamentary election. Ross has lead his centre-left New Liberal Party to two majorities in 2009 and 2012, and the New Liberals seem on course to win a third term in government. Speculation had been that Ross would earlier this year to stand down as New Liberal leader to clear the way for Deputy Prime Minister Bryanne Fairbairn to succeed Ross as New Liberal leader and prime minister. Sources in the New Liberal caucus believe Ross will resign as NLP leader and Prime Minister in 2016 or 2017, if the New Liberals are returned for a third term in government next year.

Law enforcement is all but gone off the streets, either dead or too frightened to stand against the rebels that control the suburbs now. J.U.S.S is fighting their best to supress the rebellion however too many rebels are inside the suburbs that soldiers cannot move in at the moment. However, no rebels have been able to reach the bridge before being murdered by our soldiers. Any updates will air as soon as possible.

He is responsible for new progressive laws and is a friend of his since the age of 8. He died yesterday after an assassination, in which the suspect was an asshole. Plans to Join Alaskan Territories to Tuskamo

Territory up in Alaska will stay territory until it is divided into another 4 lordoms, Lords and duchesses are elected, etc. Basically, until everything is official. Right now, we are on stage junior, while many future events wait.

Peninsula and archipelago.

If one is elected duchess, she will be the first duchess in quite a while of Tuskamocan history. That brings us to our candidates for lords and duchess. Now, the Kingdom Council concluded that we should take little by little, as Sean Dacmelo, Vice-President of the Kingdom Council and Minister of Education said, "We have four more lordoms coming up. And so, it certainty isn't a nice choice to gulp down 4 whole big pies at once. We'll have an election for the islands at first. Then, the land at the Alaskan Gulf. And, so on." The Kingdom Council not only announced the candidates for the peninsula and islands, but they furthermore declared the ones for the land by the Alaskan Gulf for us to have future reference.

Let's introduce the main candidates who are running for lord or duchess for the peninsula and islands: Orval T. Bassanelli, Arleen F. Acker, and Erma Geisler. Now the nominees from the sub-parties who are for the islands; Gerry Van Der Venn and Wardell D. Gotthold. Now for the ones running to lead the land at the Alaskan Gulf: Josefine F. Schwartz, Langdon G. Ainsworth, and Jorji Faucheux. Lastly, the sub-candidates: Seanna K. Kruffman and Gerrard T. St Pierre.

At this minute, the candidates for lord and duchess of the peninsula and archipelago are near mid-campaigning. And so, Furieux Day will begin within less than one week and Furieux Eve, showing the results. The citizens certainly look forward to the, perhaps surprising outcome of who gets who gets out and who stays. It does seem the soon ending of the year 2014 will be tense for the Tuskamocans and especially all the candidates, sub and main.

TOLMAKIAN TROOPS ABROAD ON ALERT

September 25, 2014 at 12:00 PM (Thursday). The Republican State of Tolmakia is up in ears and arms (both figuratively and literally) after news from The Kingdom of Free Pejite was received. Apparently, the news was that the Pejitean rebel and resistance groups leftover from the Second Pejite War suspected to be spread around the Middle-East have allied themselves with other hostile groups, one including the major islamic group operating in Syria and near Pejite. The information was also passed on by Tolmakian intelligence units in the nation to the Kingdom's leaders.

"These rebel groups are posing a major threat once again", states Minister Teshi Hershei in a press interview by the Tolmakian Broadcasting Center. "Just in the past months, their activities died down leaving the Kingdom of Pejite, our newest major ally in peace and prosperity. However the rebel groups allying themselves with these deadly and extremely hostile groups now could change all that. Their alliances threaten to disturb the Kingdom's current state. If anything happens to Pejite, our nation will be compelled once again to go on the offensive to fulfill our agreements with our ally." He also added that the rebel attacks from the western province of Pejite have since doubled this month. This week in September 20, 1 Tolmakian soldier was killed in action by a rebel sniper near the outskirts of Promiya village. Though the Tolmakian Military Forces have not seen any other action aside from this their allies, Pejitean Military Forces have engaged many rebel groups near the Iraq-Pejitean border.

The Prime Minister previously also expressed his concern for the growing crisis in the Middle-East. He even went as far as considering joining the US-led coalition as "non-offensive" units such as logistics. One thing he has stated with certainty was that should the coalition forces need to, they may use the PLOT (Promiya Land of Tolmakia), a territory that also serves as the republic's major overseas military garrison. Additionally, the Tolmakian Military Forces (with permission from the military command and agreement from the Pejitean head of state, King Asabel IV) are to extend their stay on Pejitean soil.

After the Second Pejite War, the republic has distanced itself from the crises ongoing in the region. But it is bound by a policy to defend the Kingdom of Free Pejite. The Kingdom in turn has seen good times so far but with its borders touching Iraq and its location relatively close to Syria, the kingdom faces a risk of rebels and other radical groups from entering its borders and destabilizing its stable yet still recovering state.

The submarine Goldfish, best known for its ongoing efforts in the eradication of the slave trade, is going into dry-dock for a much-needed refit. Siobahn McAleskie, Chief Engineer of the Electric Boat Company, gave no details about the required work but estimated that it could take several months. (The Electric Boat Company - not to be confused with the Eclectic Boat Company which makes custom sailboats) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of McAleskie Shipyards.

The crew of the Goldfish will go on a well-deserved leave, since they have been at sea almost continuously for the best part of a year, but her commander, Lieutenant Anni-Frid Ulvaeus, is expected to do the rounds of the talk shows. When reached by telephone for a preliminary interview, she denied that the dry-dock time was for repairing battle damage. Among other things, she said, the diesel engines need "new sleeves". She acknowledged that there were "some injuries" during the last patrol (since ambulances were observed meeting the Goldfish on her return to port last week).

While the Goldfish is out of action, the struggle against the evil of slavery will be carried on by several other Fatatatutian submarines.

WEEK-LONG STORM DISSIPATES, MORE THAN 3000 HOMES UNINHABITABLE

A flooded street less than two kilometres from the National Parliament Complex.

The storm which has drenched the capital and the surrounding area in rain over the past ten days has dissipated, but the effects of flooding are still being felt by thousands of people throughout Mebangy-Ityan. Although information is still coming in every hour, the Ministry of Infrastructure & Housing announced this morning that that more than three thousand homes have been rendered uninhabitable by surface flooding. It is also estimated that approximately eight hundred businesses will be forced to close their doors until thorough repairs are carried out. There has been no official statements regarding the economic impact of the storm and subsequent flooding. On a brighter note, it appears that the losses caused by the flooding have only been material. No deaths have been reported yet and less than two dozen people were injured during the storm. The mayor of Mebangy-Ityan praised the Provincial Guard for their rapid response to the flooding during an interview at noon, claiming that dozens of people would have perished if it was not for their presence within the city. More than ten thousand guardsmen are currently on active duty in the capital providing assistance to the civilian population wherever possible.

Beyond the deployment of the Provincial Guard, the government's response to the flooding and property damage has been rather limited. No government official has commented on an official response plan yet, which means that those made homeless by the flooding may have to rely on insurance money to survive. Several prominent political commentators have stated that the government is merely attempting to analyse all of the facts before making a definitive response plan. Prime Minister Oste Jonang is currently in Bratislav attending the International Freedom Coalition summit there and has been unable to release a full statement, but managed to say this during a brief telephone conversation with one of our reports: ”Remain strong, people of Mebangy-Ityan. Your interests are our interests, and we have not abandoned you. Help is on the way.” This comment suggests that an official response plan is in the works, though its details remain unknown. A representative from the Royal Armed Forces has stated that they will remain deployed in the city, providing assistance to its inhabitants, until further notice. The Ministry of Transport announced on Twitter that Mebangy-Ityan International Airport would open again tomorrow.

The unusually severe week-long storm surprised everyone and meteorologists around the country have attempted to explain what caused it. Some have suggested that it is simply a matter of probability, claiming that such a storm is inevitable eventually. Others, such as Professor John Lewis of the University of the Lerin Islands, have claimed that the severe weather is a result of climate change caused by human pollution. Whatever the cause, any government response to the situation will focus on the people and not the environment.
