Díenstadi Régulies [Foreign Legion - Regulares]

Postby The Macabees » Sat Jun 27, 2009 6:23 pm

With the occupation of Guffingford [most of it] & northern Safehaven, the Second Empire has begun recruiment of local population into auxiliary divisions, promising citizenship, ample tracks of land to cultivate, a steady wage and adventure. With an increasing amount of said auxiliaries - maxing out at around half a million personnel - the Empire has also decided to steadily decrease the size of its armed forces, since the War of Golden Succession is now months behind in history and relations with Stevid and Independent Hitmen seem to be stabilizing. Although the Ejermacht disbanded the 'Foreign Legion' during the last months of the war it now sees its error, since these soldiers provide manpower that can be used anywhere - without fear of loss - while Macabee citizens can be demobilized [slowly; very slowly] back into the civilian world. As a consequence, the Fuermak High Command has decided to allow the creation of another 'Foreign Legion' known as the Díenstadi Régulies. As of now they are only organized into quasi-infantry divisions of anywhere between fifteen thousand to eighteen thousand men, depending if they're mechanized or not.

Terch (Division) - est. 16,500 men (mechanized infantry).
- 3x Harka (Brigade sized; est. 5,500 men a piece).
--> Each Harka has 5 Tabors (Regimental size unit - approx. 1,100 men per Tabor).
---> Each Tabor has nine to ten Bandags, or companies.

Companies are fairly simple and should be explained from the ground up:

2 ekipés = 1 sektón

Each ekipé has 4 soldiers, so it's a fire team, and a sektón is an eight man squad.

4 sektóns = 1 Pieletón (or platoon) = 32 men

As a consequence, each Bandag tends to have around 4 Pieletón's (I don't want to use Dienstadi declentions, so it's basically a transliteration).

Existing Units
> Harka 'Invictus I' - Doomingslandi (est. 5,200 men)
> > Relevant Threads: Babel;

> Harka 'Berach X' - Amastolian (est. 5,400 men)
> > Relevant Threads: Babel;

> Tabor 'Urseline IX' - Killian (est. 1,100 men)
> > Relevant Threads:

>Bandag 'Blodøkskompaniet' - Cottish (est. 128 men)
> > Relevant Threads: Imperial Recrudescence;

> Tabor 'Cazaterüs' - Morridhane (est. 1,100 men)

It's likely that recruitment stations have been placed all over the world, where we know that we can get recruits, and so if you think your country has ex-soldiers or people looking for adventure please post! All units have a name they're known for, and normally it's historic to the origins of the soldiers in the unit and so please provide for that, as well.

Ejermacht Communiqué

Join the Ejermacht Régulies today! We offer good pay, the eventuality of citizenship, and guaranteed adventure. Régulies are an elite force of foreign soldiers who fight for the Macabee flag. They have been used in Theohuanacu and Zarbia, capable of eliminating enemy units many times their own size, as well as clandestine operations. The Ejermacht is looking to expand their foreign legion by at least 100,000 men, although the exact amount will depend on the willing and able supply of foreign recruits. We invite you to join the adventure today, and become a member of one of the most elite military forces on the planet!

[OOC: For simplicity, I assume the units are constantly filled with new recruits over time, to keep their size stable and to avoid the complexity of constantly having to make new units and remove the old ones.]
