Each page should be 25 posts each (so Mister X's explanation makes sense), however your screen size may impact the layout of posts. For example a 1000x1000 picture (which iirc is the maximum dimensions for images) may look good on one computer however it will be cut off on another; this is why I try to keep mine under 800x800, at least for the width.

Empire of Cheongji is proud to bid their most prestigious city to celebrate the 51st WorldVision Song Contest in Ansan, our capital city, where many nations from different multiverses perform their native songs to showcase, not just their famous singers, but also their cultures. Our Worldvision motto is ”Fiercely but Attractively", where our nation kicks off the song contest with passion and fervor while captivating the audience with attractive singers and songs. If our nation gains the opportunity to host the most popular singing contest in the multiverse, broadcasts will be made in all of our TV stations(NATV, SATV, WATV), during the prime-time schedule of 6:25 P.M. Sunday.

Three Broadcasting Channels in Ansan, Cheongji

Why Cheongji, though? Well, aside from our history and culture, which span nearly a thousand years, with a recent surge in Cheongji-pop, our nation has become one of the top music-loving nations in the multiverse. Jian music culture is continuing to grow, as our TV shows begin to broadcast more shows, related to singing our national, contemporary pop. In fact, our music has been commended throughout the multiverse, especially in previous WorldVision editions:

"The instrumental is so good, I think you, the public, should listen to this with headphones on YouTube to appreciate the song."
- WorldVision 49 Britonisea commentary

"Performance and dances are very in sync, [...], very well-rehearsed and well-done."
- WorldVision 49 Polkopia commentary

In Cheongji, one will be able to experience such recognized life of music at its deepest, finest, and fullest.

Furthermore, if one wishes to know more about Cheongji, one can visit its factbook here, where information about history, culture, demographics, and transportation are present. The information below will contain Ansan's tourist attraction and Worldvision-related guides specifically.

Map of Cheongji

Ansan is the capital city of Cheongji. The name, "Ansan", where "An" means, "calm", and "San" means "mountain", is named by Emperor Gim Eunbu, the second Emperor of Cheongji. Ansan is not exactly a mountainous region, considering the fact that Cheongji is predominantly a flatland. However, the Emperor wanted to convey the notion that the land founded by his father is calm and reminiscent of his father's hometown, which is speculated to be a distant, Eastern pacific region. The WorldVision venue is located in West Ansan; however, its tourist attractions, accommodations, and dining areas are located not just in West Ansan, but also North and South Ansan. There is no East Ansan. One can travel from West to North or South Ansan within approximately ten minutes. Details can be found here.

Ansan is known for its beaches, cruise ship travels, ice hockey, and musical concerts. It is extremely easy to travel from one tourist attraction to another, because Cheongji is a small island that has an extensive highway called, "Coastline Express", which allows one to travel from one end of the island to another in just ten to fifteen minutes. Moreover, Cheongji also has an extensive subway system, which can take one to its various tourist attractions, accommodations, and the WorldVision concert hall. Details on our tourist attractions are shown below.
Before Cheongji’s tourist attractions are mentioned, one must arrive here via airplane, arriving at Ansan International Airport, which is shown below:

Next, here are our finest tourist attractions:

Image

Ansan Beach is the largest and the most accommodating beach in the nation, where more than a thousand people visit every day. Only natural sand is used; it is an excellent place to relax and have fun for all ages. People are free to stay in the beach throughout the night, since the beach is open all twenty-four hours. There are people who clean the beach on a regular basis; however, it is still considered an etiquette to keep the beach clean by taking out litter oneself. To get to Ansan beach from Ansan International Airport, one must travel via Line 1(Blue Line) south from Airport station to Stock Exchange station. Transfer to Line 2 (Red Line), and travel east to Ansan Beach station. Subway map of Ansan can be shown here.

Image

Ansan Cruise is the largest cruise ship industry that travels around not just domestic coastlines but also those of its neighbouring nations. Normally, the length of travel is six nights and seven days, but small cruise ships are available for shorter travels as well. Normally, one pays ₩ 60 per day of trip; however, those with Worldvision 50 tickets are given 60% discount, paying only ₩ 24,000 per day of trip. For instance, if one were to embark on a 7-day cruise travel, one can only pay ₩ 168, which is equivalent to the price of two nights at a four-star hotel. To get to Ansan beach from Ansan International Airport, one must travel via Line 1(Blue Line) east from Airport station to Cruise Ship port station. Subway map of Ansan can be shown here.

NATV Concert Hall is a music hall that is used for all music performances broadcasted and supported by NATV.

A popular Mystery Music Show program called Masked Singer is broadcasted every Monday night in this hall. Masked Singer is a music contest where celebrities and singers wear elaborate masks and anonymously compete to become the Masked Singer. Each generation of the contestants consists of eight celebrities and/or singers, and there are three rounds. First round consists of four contests, where two contestants perform a duet, and the singer voted by the audience as having a more appealing voice moves onto the next round. The eliminated has to reveal their identity by taking off their mask. Second Round consists of four contests, where each of the people who advanced performs a solo song.

Four people who advanced are paired in two who will be competing with each other to advance to the third round. As mentioned previously, the singers advance into the next round via audience voting, and the eliminated are asked to reveal their identity by taking off their mask. Third Round consists of two contests, where each finalist performs a solo song. The winner of the third round becomes the Masked Singer. The Masked Singer does not reveal himself or herself. Starting in the next generation, the winner of the third round competes with the current Masked Singer. Audience is asked to vote, based on what the third round winner sang in the third round and a new solo song sung by the current Masked Singer. To purchase tickets for Masked Singer, visit http://www.natv.che/maskedsinger/tickets.

Moreover, every Tuesday night, Duet Song Festival is broadcasted. It is a program, where a series of duet singers compete to receive the highest votes from an audience of five hundred people. The duet with the highest votes has the opportunity to perform again in the show. All other duets are replaced by new ones every episode. To purchase tickets for Duet Song Festival, visit http://www.natv.che/duetsongfestival/tickets.

Galbi, a Jian-style short rib

Cheongji provides delectable cuisine that has tourists and even residents coming back for more. First and foremost is Galbi, a Jian-style short rib marinated in a sauce made from Jian pear juice, rice wine, soy sauce, garlic, sesame seed oil and sugar. Usually, the meat is arrayed as a rack of ribs cut in thin slices across the bones. This makes eating Galbi easier with chopsticks or with fingers. Many Jian restaurants throughout North, South, and West Ansan offer this delicious dish.

Second to present is Spicy, braised chicken stew, also known as Dakdoritang. It is a traditional braised chicken dish that is full of spices and flavors which is known to be quite spicy in taste. Succulent chicken pieces such as thighs, breasts and/or drumsticks are simmered in a base soup where the meat tends to fall off the bones. It is marinated with hot pepper and soy sauce, containing assortments of vegetables such as green & red chili peppers, potatoes, onions and carrots. As it can get quite spicy, be sure to eat plenty of steamed rice to offset the heat. To view more fine Jian food, visit our factbook under Culture.

You can only post pictures up to 900 x 900 anyway.

Another bid... come on....

I try to keep mine iPhone-friendly (mainly because I have one), so my pictures are never more than 600x600. Previously I went with 500x500, then realised I could shoehorn a few more pixels. This is why the postcards of WV34 look quite small, they're just designed to be mobile-friendly.

Meet The Singers (Darkmania) press conference

Image

TheBandKnownAsStarFox , also known as TBKASF or simply StarFox witch is here the confusion with the series with the Nintento-series lies where guests with the popular talkshowhost Këvin Jöke talking about the promice Adriän said doing the announcement earlier this year. (“We shall try to break our habit of coming last. Can`t promise we do it, but we shall try”)

Adriän (Bandleader) “So we (TBKASF) peforms in WSC 51? Let me start that its been a childom dream of me since Darkmania began brocasting WSC 33. And since Darkmania entered the WS-stage for the first time in WSC 47, me and my friends worked our butts off to spread “Darkmainain Hispster Music” for all to see. And as I said “We shall try to break our habit of coming last. Can`t promise we do it, but we shall try”.
One journalist when asks “Ok, so what are the title of the song you guys are gonna sing in (city, country)?”
Adriän then said
“Darkmania are going back to the 1980`s (add a “Darkmania is stuck in the 80`s” joke here) as the title is “The 80`s coming back!”
Tune used.

Two weeks of sign-ups left. Remember, you don't have to write a manifesto to stand for the Committee.

A couple of you have said "maybe"... any definites here?

Hello, I am Kannap. I'm pretty new to WorldVision as my first participation in the competition was WorldVision 50, however I have been watching the competition since about WorldVision 46 and had gained interest as the competitions progressed. Of course, you may think that I am too new to all of this to be a member of the committee and that may very well be true. I am not going to argue that I am not too new. What I am, however, is a great team player and somebody who cares about people. I think that I would be a good person for the committee.

I don't expect to be voted into the committee, but if you do vote for me I thank you in advance.

RTVH, the state broadcaster of Hafamarimët, has internally selected the band Pnjebufan! to represent the country at WorldVision 51. Their style can be described as electropop, which is evident in the song they will be performing. The title and sections of the lyrics are in Hafamari, with the title being given as Ruf Fa Vaam, meaning How We Feel. Reportedly, the band cites their obscure sound and Hafamarimët's history of poor results as a reason they "don't really plan on winning, but we'll have a good time anyway."

Miaria and Sukie to Commentate WV51

KAIITO CITY-LAND - Two of the Kasanova-Koratica's happiest commentators, second only to Lahara and Tekkle, will be commentating WorldVision 51. They said they really wanted to show the world the TRUTH about each entry, and everybody is excited! And show the world Kasanova-Koratican friendly dancing!!

Due to what someone called "budget constraints" Kasanova-Koratica isn't sending an entry in today. That's silly. Kasanova-Koratica doesn't even have a "budget".

Since I've had a few telegrams asking me to explain my "recall" pledge in greater detail:

1 - 10% of the users that completed the previous contest must propose such a course of action in the OOC thread.
2 - In circumstances where 10% is not equal to a whole number, the next highest positive integer will be the quota. For example, if 32 users completed the previous contest, 4 users will be the quota.
3 - If this is not reached, another proposal for rejection may not be called against the same member during that edition of the contest.
4 - If this quota is reached, a referendum shall be held.
5 - In order that the integrity of the referendum be preserved, the Committee password will then be changed and the member in question will not be privy to it.
6 - The referendum will be conducted by telegram to the Committee account.
7 - In order for the referendum to be successful, 50% plus 1 of the users that completed the previous contest must vote for ejection. For example, if 32 users completed the previous contest, 17 of these must vote for ejection.
8 - If unsuccessful, the new password will be given to the Committee member up for voting.
9 - If successful, the new password will not be given to the member up for voting.
10 - If the referendum results in an ejection, a by-election shall take place.
11 - Declarations of one's candidacy will last for one week.
12 - The member who has just been ejected may not stand in the by-election.
13 - The voting shall be conducted under First Past The Post [although this can be changed if people wish] and will last for one week.
14 - The new member will then be given access to the new password.
15 - If no nominations are received, the spot on the Committee shall be vacant until the next general election.
16 - No "recalls" will be possible if the Committee is reduced to three members for this reason.
17 - There may only be one recall referendum at a time. If more than one "petition" is presented, the first to the quota of proposers will be the member up for ejection.
18 - Petition signatures shall be reset on two occasions: when a referendum is called; when the next contest's OOC thread is opened.
19 - Regardless of the number of Committee members by the election, five people will be elected at the next general election.
20 - The Committee reserves the right to withdraw this system if it is abused.

Do you mean the number of players, instead of the total count of nations including puppets?

The Evolution of Music
ENTV PRESENTS...

[Introduction]

The Explosive News Television broadcaster (ENTV) is proud to announce a bid for the Worldvision Song Contest on the behalf of Ethane. The nation of Ethane began to participate in Worldvision in the 43rd edition of the competition, and has entered almost every edition of the tournament since. Slowly cultivating the music talent in the nation, the nation has seen itself moving from finishing in the top 16 to finishing in the top 10, and most often the top eight. Building on this talent, the government and state broadcaster of Ethane have decided that it is in their best interests, and the world's best interests, for Ethane to bid for this edition of the Worldvision Song Contest. This is the first bid from Ethane ever in the history of the Worldvision song contest, and the bidders hope to make it count. So, come the host voting period, #experiencetheevolution and #chooseEthane.

[The Host City]

Image

The Map

New Sarum will be the host city bidding for this Worldvision Song Contest. New Sarum is a large city on the west coast of Ethane, located in the north-west of Esportiva. It is the capital city of Ethane, and is the second largest city in the nation, home to around 1.5 million people.

New Sarum is this wonderful mix of a city, with a mixture of different cultures all merged together in a typical Ethanian way, and a mixture between the modern world, and the history of the nation, which has extremely strong roots in the capital city.

Image

The city is full of history waiting to be discovered. History all the way from the start of Ethane up to the modern day can be found in amongst the city, with the transitions between then and now noticeable today in the process by which New Sarum has developed from a small, lowly village in the corner of Ethane to the global destination it is today. From the ruins of the old fortress of Old Sarum, to the cathedral, to the trails that can be followed around the city, New Sarum is the perfect place for the Worldvision Song Contest to be held.

Not only do you have the historic nature of the city, but you also have the more modern side of the city too. With recent developments in the city, New Sarum has grown and grown, with the skyline changing considerably over recent years. This means that the city has state of the art hotels, restaurants, and other venues which can all be accessed, and are all of the highest quality.

Image

This is not the only area that has seen modernisation. The city has also gone on a green energy drive, installing many renewable energy sources around New Sarum, which means that many lights and signage is now powered by inbuilt renewable energy into the system. This green drive has been put in place by the government, which has also developed the public transport in recent years, meaning that New Sarum has green, state of the art public transport systems which avoid any traffic there might be - something that seems to be thinning out in New Sarum.

This new public transport system, which includes a fleet of brand new buses, an upgrade to the train system in Ethane, and a tram system in New Sarum and Swanmouth, enables easy access to most of the city, and provides people with a cheap and easy way to get around the major cities. All those who have a Worldvision Song Contest ticket would be allowed free public transport travel on the day of song contest.

[After-Hours]

The fun in New Sarum doesn't stop when the song contest finishes. The city has much to offer in the way of evening entertainment, with the local entertainment complexes open 24/7 most times of the year. This allows anyone to watch a film in the cinema, or go bowling late at night.

However, this is not it. To get right into the party, there are a selection of clubs which open, including a large one at 'The Hub' called 'Fountain'.

Image

With a selection of some of the top acts from Ethane, the club is putting on one of its biggest nights ever if the city wins the host bid. The club is only a two minute walk away from the actual worldvision song contest venue, and so is within easy reach for anyone who wishes to continue to party into the night, rather than go to bed, or go to the other evening entertainment put on in New Sarum.

[The Logo/Slogan]

ENTV are not afraid to go big on this tournament, and so are throwing out all the stops to win this bid.

The theme for this edition of the Worldvision Song Contest, if this bid does win, will be 'The Evolution of Music', as is the slogan of the competition. This is made to reflect all the changes that occur in music, and reflect on the changes, rather than what comes next. It's a blast back to the past, and a journey of nostalgia that we would hope everyone would be willing to participate in.

Image

The logo used is representative of a strand of DNA, with special effects applied. DNA was used, as it is the fundamental code for all life in the multiverse, and it is where all change and evolution stems from. This reflects the theme that the bid is aiming to put across, and the DNA reflects the evolution in this, and that music is alive, and has its own DNA.

[The Venue]

Image

The stage is a rather basic semicircle design, with encroaching points at either front edge of the stage. A wide, straight walkway comes out from the exact centre of the stage, which leads to this mini stage in the centre of the arena.

There will be two large screens, one either side of the back of the stage, which will cover the majority of the back wall of the stage. These can be used for whatever can be displayed on a screen within the rules of the competition. The stage floor is made up of separate tiles, which can light up different colours or flash different colours, or just have the edges or the centre flash/turn a particular colour. A large selection of lights are available to use on the stage and in amongst the audience, as well as the ability to use holograms and particles on the stage to create special effects. We have one rule: what cannot be done on the stage cannot be done on the camera. We don't have the will/ability to perform on camera illusions which cannot be seen by those in the audience.

Image

'The Hub' is a new centre to New Sarum encompassing many things ideal for a community. Inside is a small shopping centre, a cinema, bowling, swimming, some after-hours entertainment, a theatre, as well as the arena which the Worldvision song contest would be held in, which can hold 25,000 spectators. 'The Hub' is well linked by public transport. It is designed to form a community hub of sorts for New Sarum, for residents and tourists alike to come visit, and it is likely most things will be moving to here. This will be a base for visiting New Sarum, making it the ideal place for the song contest to be held.

[Postcards/Montages]

This is something that would be done, and to a high level. I will not reveal what I will be doing in this department unless I win the host bid, because ideally I would want to keep my idea secret until I do host. However, it is impressive. If I were to win the host bid, I would immediately announce what I need from everyone who wishes to have an entry.

I will also be creating a database of sorts (which will be revealed at a later date). This isn't necessarily for this host bid, but still thought I'd let you know.

[Other]

The postcards/montages will likely be made, and then uploaded when voting starts. I do this to allow me to release all of them at the same time, which I feel suits the style better, so that everyone's is revealed at the same time.

In terms of acts, don't expect too much. There will be an opening act, and there will be an interval act, but I expect not to have to intervene in the middle of the performing acts, or the middle of the voting. There will be no special effects with the voting, as I believe the traditional way of releasing votes is the best way. I may decide to do a special interval post of some sort, but I am undecided as of what this would be yet.

I have been involved in Worldvision since WV43, and have enjoyed it thoroughly, only missing an edition or two here and there. I have also hosted the 23rd edition of the World Hit Festival.

I will also warn people of the ending of the entry and voting periods. I do believe that sometimes all people need is a bit of reminding, and this I believe is the right thing to do in this case.

[b]Thank you for considering voting for Ethane for the #WV51, and remember, come the host voting period, #experiencetheevolution and #chooseEthane.

Esportivan and Proud.
<drawk> If the entirety of the nation of Ethane was covered in a single cubic foot of Ethane on its surface, lighting it all on fire would cause a 5.44 megaton blast.
Best WorldVision Finish: 2nd. Best World Cup Finish: Quarter-Finals. Best KPB Rank: 8th. Best WBC Finish: 1st.

Of course, the proposal is by no means guaranteed and would almost definitely require tweaking, but I think I've generally got what I'm aiming for here, which is not elections and referenda every five minutes, but rather a rare occurrance.

Members of the WorldVision Community,

If you have participated (to completion) in at least one edition of WorldVision, please vote for your favourite song in WV 1-50, instructions here!

Both songs are absolutely great, and it's going to be hard choosing between the two. Just pop down, spend ten minutes of your time listening to the two songs and telegram Polkopia about your nation's vote about which song is the best.
