Hello, Kasin, I'm Bruce Hernández, one of the flankers for the Coventry Wyverns and the Elejamie rugby team. I'm not sure why they've picked me to give the votes for the WorldVision, seeing as I don't really watch the thing, but I wasn't going to turn it down. And I'm not complaining either, since it's something different and I don't have to worry about training for the pre-seasons just yet. So, let's get straight to the points. Here are the one to sevens on your screen.

Image

  1. Kalosia
  2. Talvezout
  3. Gurori
  4. Ekoz
  5. Estogium
  6. Polkopia
  7. Normandy and Picardy

Now that's one to seven sorted out, let's get straight to the top three. I'm not going to beat around the bush, so I'll just say who got what. OK. Eight points go to Ethane.

Ten points to go Mister X.

And the twelve points go to Electrum. Good night, Kasin, good luck Monochrome Haze and well done to whoever wins it. Bruce out.

Commentary on MRX One with Sam Smith and Robert Baxter.

Robert: Welcome back to the 50th WorldVision Song Contest. Let's get straight into it with song 21, Gurori.

21 Gurori

Sam: Short but sweet.
Robert: "Sweet" is quite accurate actually. It was all a bit... childish, if you get my meaning?
Sam: Yeah, it did sound like something you'd sing to 5-year-old children at bedtime if you took away the heavy beat in the background. That seemed really out of place, that beat. Nonetheless, it's a knife.

22 Qasden

Robert: That wasn't too bad, I guess.
Sam: I just found it a little boring. It goes down as bread.

23 Antahbrantahstan

24 Todlichebujoku

Robert: Like Polkopia, Todlichebujoku could send a collection of stick insects and still get a good result. Big names get big results here. But... I don't like this. It hasn't got that X Factor for me, and I just can't fundamentally say "this is good, this is bad" about it.
Sam: I totally get you. And in fact I agree with you, but I can be more specific. I don't like her voice. Sounds a bit whiny.
Robert: Oh yeah, I see that.
Sam: So on that regard I'm afraid Todlichebujoku should not be walking away with the crown in our opinion. In terms of softness, it's bread.

25 Electrum

Robert: 90s disco meets opera! I love it!
Sam: I love it, but in the "so-bad-it's-good" kind of loving it.
Robert: No, that's what I meant! It's hilarious. Actually hilarious. The lyrics did not fit the tone of the tune at all but that just adds to it. When was the last time someone got shot to a 90s disco record? It's not going to be my number one most played WorldVision track, that will obviously be "Cumdump Slumber Nine", but this is good.
Sam: Yep. That could do very well indeed this contest. It's knife.

26 Electrum Diplomatic Offices

Robert: Normally I love the EDO's entries, but no... I'm not feeling that tonight. Sorry, but that was sloblock.
Sam: I just didn't get the staging concept at all. Yeah... no. And overall I think that's bread.

27 West Phoenica

Robert: Don't agree with the message one iota. And it was a cure for insomnia. Unfortunately I had some coffee during Electrum's entry, so on we go. Sam?
Sam: I'm still awake. Just. That's a plum. For the first time in years.

28 Bloodbath Generation

Sam: The song "dropping", as the kidzzz say these days, really made me happy.
Robert: Too often it builds without "going off". Ace. One regret - that vocal distorter in the middle. Eugh.
Sam: I really liked the song though. And it is a knife, despite the plummy first bit.

29 Adab

Sam: There's a reason I call this country A-drab.
Robert: Ouch.
Sam: Yet another appallingly boring entry from them. It's not my style of music, prog rock ballads. When will they learn that?
Robert: You're very harsh. But how soft?
Sam: I think that goes down as jam.

30 Cheongji

Robert: Someone's got to tell these people that if they're that desperate to, er, have a rendezvous, then they can do it.
Sam: Too true... wait, you're not speaking from personal experience, are you?
Robert: Might be.
Sam: Moving swiftly on, that looked like it would be plum, but I think it rescued itself into jam by the end.

31 Ethane

Robert: I need to know more about Alex Ward.
Sam: Never mind that, what about the song?
Robert: Alex Ward can do no wrong in my eyes.
Sam: A more objective viewpoint, dear viewer, is that it was actually rather good. Slightly too much strobing for my liking, but that one might just remain on my iPhone after the contest. Knife.

32 Arioslavia

Robert: And then this... thing to finish.
Sam: I didn't like it.
Robert: It couldn't make up its mind whether it was good or bad.
Sam: I think it's bread as a result.

Robert: We're back with the interval and voting, don't go away.

Prescilla Worvil, a random woman who doesn't quite seem to fit...

"Hi guys, I'm Prescilla, Queen of All! Ha ha ha, I joke! We've had a wonderful time tonight, dancing away to all of your tunes, but we could only give points to 10 countries. Which 10 countries, you may ask? Well, that's my job, but first let me tell you where I am..."

(Prescilla goes on to talk about how she is near the renovated dockyard in Cherbourg, and behind her is the Old Mill Hall, which has been turned into an 'entertainment venue'. This instantly sparked rumours of a potential Normand bid for WV51 or 52, but if and when are both unclear. The crowd and the presenters got bored, and so she finally gives the scores)

Ri Lin-Wu, actress

Hello, Kalosia! It's great to be here tonight, in a country which so many Bloodbathians call their second home. While yes, I know our entry seems a bit half...

The stream seems to be cutting off, but the connection is restored in a matter of seconds.

You know what I mean, at least it's something. We'll bring a full fledged entry sometime. Now, however, we're gonna be voting for some!

1 point goes to Britonisea
2 points go to Mercedini
3 points go to Mister X
4 points go to Kannap
5 points go to Kalosia
6 points go to Talvezout
and 7 points are for Normandy & Picardy

our 8 points go to The Sarian
10 to Kishrael- only our beloved Roga could slay harder than Ms. Shaldit.
and the Bloodbathian 12 points go to...Ethane!

It received over 20 million televotes, almost half of the total! We can't even blame the diaspora this time either! Great job, and goodnight Kalosia!

ETV1 presents WorldVision 50 - English language commentary by Cerin Erali and Flynn Taggart

Image

Image

Recap

CE: So, here we are after thirty-two entries.
FT: We've got our favourites. Qasden, Electrum, Adab, Bloodbath Generation...
CE: And we've got those songs we don't like or those songs that didn't strike us for whatever reason. West Phoenicia, Britonisea, Todlichebujoku...
CE and FT: Kishrael.
FT: Definitely.
CE: But we need your vote, your decision, to see who'll get our votes. So we've opened the WorldVision Hotline back up again! It's really simple. All you have to do is dial 555 72 53, followed by your favourite entry. For example, if you liked Pocopi's entry 555 72 53 01. If you liked Telafaso, then it's 555 72 53 02.
FT: Et cetera, et cetera.
CE: And if you wanted to vote by text, then it's SONG, then your favourite entry. All caps, by the way. If you liked Mr. Ostropovnik singing about his miller, SONG01. If you liked Talvezout's amazing cloning ability, then it's SONG02. All the way until you reach SONG32.
FT: Calls cost 50ᶈ per minute from an EleTel network; other carriers have different rates. Texts cost 25ᶈ plus your standard network charge. Vote once per person.
CE: That's right, Fluh-yeen. Electrum was the best song of the night, yes, but if you vote for it over and over again, you're just wasting your pensin.
(a couple of seconds of silence pass, just to show that Cerin and Flynn have finished talking about what they need to talk about)
FT: Interval act?
CE: Let's go!

Interval Act

TBA

01 - Estogium (13) Votes

CE: And to begin with we have twelve points for... Kishrael?
FT: The hell?
CE: Mister X got the ten points though, so that's good. Polkopia and Qasden got six and five.
FT: And we got nothing.

02 - Gurori (21) Votes

CE: Electrum getting the twelve there. And Michel looks so happy with that. So she should be, since it was the best entry of the night.
FT: Agreed.

03 - Oqmet (33) Votes

FT: Mark and Patrós getting eight points from Öqmet there.
CE: Normandy and Picardy getting the seven though. Ten for Estogium and twelve points for The Sarian.

04 - Darkmania (03) Votes

FT: Another six for us there.
CE: But twelve for the Alinghi FDR.

05 - West Phoenicia (27) Votes

FT: Well, all good things must come to an end.
CE: Still, twelve points - an-du pont - for Meike Krause. I bet everyone back home in Eisige-ka and... wherever it is she lives now... will be happy.
FT: Nothing for us though. To be fair, it was all at random, so I can't complain.
CE: Neither can I. Very intriguing.

06 - Cosneolta (05) Votes

CE: OK, new rule for tonight. If we see a diva-type person giving Kishrael twelve points on the basis that "they don't give a fuck what you think", either down your drink or take two gulps.
FT: It wasn't all bad, though. Qasden got a point. So did Adab and Polkopia.
CE: Don't forget Ethane and Normandy and Picardy.

07 - Alinghi Federal Democratic Republic (16) Votes

FT: Twelve for Kannap.
CE: Eight for Normandy and Picardy, seven for Polkopia and two for Kishrael.

08 - Elejamie (12) Votes

FT: Are you excited for the new ERC season?
CE: A little bit. I mean, the Sparrows have definitely improved and they're probably going to make the playoffs.
FT: Maybe, but the Knights are probably going to win the league. I'm not so sure about the playoffs, though, but it won't be a surprise if we pull it off.
CE: Either way, we'll carry on our rugby talk later. Twelve for Electrum, ten for Mister X, eight for Ethane. All fine by me.

09 - Kannap (11) Votes

CE: Oh, wow, eight points for us. Seven for Ethane, six for Electrum, four for Estogium.
FT: And another twelve for The Sarian.

10 - Kwadai (20) Votes

FT: Nothing for us there.
CE: But ten points for Polkopia. Five for Kishrael, though. They're doing much better than expected.
FT: Probably because of the two twelves they got from the two divas.
CE: Maybe so. Still, at least Izmedu have got their first set of points. Two but it's a start.
FT: Twelve for Todlichebujoku. Next country.

11 - Hirvania (09) Votes

CE: Talvezout getting an unexpected twelve there. Electrum with the six, Polkopia with seven and Estogium with three.
FT: And nothing for us.

12 - Mister X (07) Votes

CE: Twelve for Bloodbath Generation, which is still the coolest nation name ever. Ten for Ethane. Seven for Electrum.
FT: Four for Qasden.
CE: And none for us. Oh well. The night's still young and we're not even halfway there yet.

13 - South Bourbonstan (14) Votes

22 - Qad Votes

-Gooood evening, everybody! This is T.V. City calling in. My name is Brianna Çevettes! Seems like there's a lot of talent here in Kasin tonight. So much, that Qads everywhere tuned in to WorldVision over international sporting events! But enough stalling, it's time to see which 10 countries will be walking home with the satisfaction of points from the 'pality!

1- Mercedini

2- Ethane

3- Elejamie

4- Estogium

5- Kannap

6- The Sarian

7- Polkopia

And now, the most favored songs!

8 points to.....
Kalosia!

10 points to.....
Electrum!

Finally, 12 points to.....
Normandy and Picardy!

-That's all. Thank you Kasin, and good luck to Ulysses and everyone here tonight. Ciao!

Commentary on MRX One with Sam Smith and Robert Baxter.

33 Oqmet

Sam: Well, that was a bit drab really. I didn't like it. It belonged in an army with those drums. And I didn't understand a word of it. Bread.

01 Polkopia
02 Talvezout
03 Darkmania
04 Britonisea
05 Cosneolta
06 Kishrael

07 Mister X
08 Normandy and Picardy
09 Hirvania

10 Ekoz
11 Kannap
12 Elejamie
13 Estogium
14 South Bourbonstan
15 Izmedu
16 Alinghi Federal-Democratic Republic
17 The Sarian

Sam: So that's:

Robert: OK, here's the interval act:

Interval Act

Robert: And here's the... oh, no, just get on with it...

Host intervention

Sam: Altogether now...
Robert and Sam: [singing] AND NOW WE'RE GOING TO VOOOOOOOOOTE...

13 Estogium votes (01/32)

Robert: Ten points!
Sam: Ace! And I'm glad they cut the feed off just in time.

21 Gurori votes (02/32)

Sam: Nothing for us there, but I do like Electrum's song.

33 Oqmet votes (03/32)

Robert: 7 to Normandy and Picardy, but otherwise I don't like that set of votes.

03 Darkmania votes (04/32)

Sam: Thanks for nothing.

27 West Phoenica votes (05/32)

Robert: Dull song, dull votes.

05 Cosneolta votes (06/32)

Sam: No need to be rude, I'm just doing my job.
Robert: 10 for Polkopia there, but not doing quite as well as I thought.
Sam: Rubbish voting. Nothing for us, nor Electrum.

16 Alinghi Federal-Democratic Republic votes (07/32)

Robert: Kannap?? Really??

12 Elejamie votes (08/32)

Sam: Wow!
Robert: Ace!

11 Kannap votes (09/32)

Robert: I guess it's something.

20 Kwadai votes (10/32)

09 Hirvania votes (11/32)

Robert: Talvezout. Come on, seriously?

07 Mister X votes (12/32)

Sam: One for Mercedini, but otherwise, sensible Mister Xian voting!

14 South Bourbonstan votes (13/32)

Robert: Ooh, that's quite good voting. N&P. Ace.

08 Normandy and Picardy votes (14/32)

Sam: We gave you eight. Not happy.

17 The Sarian votes (15/32)

Robert: Again, I guess it's something, but I would really be wanting more.

18 Kalosia votes (16/32)
