The Socialist International - An Overview
The true socialist states and workers of the world are tired of seeing false 'socialist' monarchies and mere welfare states be considered socialist - monarchies put power in the hands of the person whose ancestors fought their fellow aristocrats for the position, willing to slaughter the workers to climb to the top of their social structure, while thinly-veiled capitalist states pretend to be socialist to spy on the workers of the world and usurp the worker's liberty and democratic principles.
Should this continue? Definitely not. And so the Socialist International has been formed to combat the ever-growing false socialist, fascist, and capitalist threat that looms upon us. As socialist states fall like dominoes to the capitalists, we must stand together to combat this threat, and we call all socialist nations to join us in removing the chains of the workers, fighting the capitalists as they influence nations with false hopes of a free market and a prosperous economy, yet only seeking to line the pockets of their businessmen and leaders, fighting the fascist menace, and uniting the workers of the world without ethnic lines dividing a free humanity.
The Socialist International has an army that states may wish to contribute to known as the People's Combat Columns, consisting primarily of ground and air forces with a limited naval role - although states may still wish to contribute naval forces, the Socialist International believes that the primary focus of warfare is ground and aerial combat. Contributing to the People's Combat Columns is purely optional and is not required of member states, although it is advised so that socialism can protect itself from fascism, capitalism, imperialism, and monarchism.
We shall not merely defend ourselves; we shall take an aggressive stance that those before us refused to take and remove capitalism, fascism, nationalism, monarchism, and imperialism from this world - and through science and our space program, one day many more.

The Socialist International - An OOC Overview
The Socialist International is a roleplay group and alliance of like-minded socialist states - you do not have to be socialist on the other side of your computer, phone, or tablet screen to join - who seek to create interesting roleplays, interesting opportunities for nationbuilding, interesting nations, and make new friends and fellow roleplayers in the Socialist International and in any inter-alliance roleplays members may join. We also include communists and leftist anarchists.
As mentioned before, we don't really allow 'socialist' monarchies or welfare states - anything from the middle of the centre-left to the far-left, that includes left-leaning social democracies that aren't merely capitalist with a welfare state. Communist or socialist anarchists are allowed and encouraged.
We'll host the occasional International Socialist Congress too. They won't be set inside the Territory, may be on foreign ground that is centrist, and will be 'what should we do in the future to promote socialism?' meetings, while the Assembly and Council are more concerned with internal matters.
We're also aggressive - we aren't merely defensive.
Communist or socialist parties may also join, but they cannot commit soldiers to the People's Combat Columns outside of volunteers, and they do not have a seat on the Council.

Structure of the Socialist International
Council of Socialist Nations
The Council of Socialist Nations is made up of nations who are part of the Socialist International. All member states have a seat on the Council; observer states may send an observer to the meetings which do not concern confidential military matters. Meetings shall take place in a separate thread for the Council.
Assembly of Socialist Nations & Organisations
The Assembly of Socialist Nations & Organisations is made up of nations and organisations which are part of the Socialist International. All member states and organisations have a seat at the Assembly; observer states may send an observer to the meetings. The Assembly will not discuss military matters, that is a role left to the Council. Meetings shall take place in a separate thread for the Assembly.
Membership
Members will be removed after a fortnight of inactivity. If they are banned for more than a fortnight an exception will be granted, nations that wish to have exceptions due to real-life occurrences may get an exception by either posting on this thread or telegramming Socintern.

Rights of Member Nations
- * The Socialist International cannot force legislation upon a member nation.
* The Socialist International cannot force any member nation to provide forces to the People's Combat Columns.
* The Socialist International may only expel a nation with the majority vote or a tie of the Council.
People's Combat Columns
The Commander-in-Chief of the People's Combat Columns is chosen in a vote held by the Council. Only two candidates will go to vote at the Council, a vote will be held of all members concerning which candidates they would like to see to go to vote - the two candidates with the largest amount of votes will go to vote in the Council. If there is a tie the two candidates that have tied will have a vote held to determine which one goes to vote in the Council. Advisers will be appointed by the Commander-in-Chief, and advisers should try to be as active as possible to help with military decisions that are required.
The People's Combat Columns will intervene in medium to high quality roleplays open to the Socialist International with the decision of the Commander-in-Chief. The Commander-in-Chief shall only roleplay as the People's Combat Columns when the commander of a branch is inactive and cannot post; in other cases they give orders that the individual commanders should follow.

The Future of the SocIntern, 13 July 2016
I, Kustgebied, out-of-character founder of the Socialist International, believe that the SocIntern can rise as a powerful alliance and leader of the left in the greater MT NSWorld - the threat of 'imperial socialists', 'socialist monarchies', and capitalists that have conceded to the people a welfare state, is far too great. I have proposed a compromise in which the Progressives, capitalist Welfare States, and 'socialist' monarchies will specialise in their field, while the Socialist International functions as a true socialist alliance.
If we are to take the place of the alliance that shall lead the left in the greater MT NSWorld, we must push ahead and show that we can actively participate in International Incidents, launching response forces to promote socialism, communism, and anarchism in as many medium to high quality roleplays that we are allowed to take part in as allowed. By doing this, members can expand their knowledge of military-related matters, grow their teamwork skills, and grow the quality of their roleplay posts. This will also promote the Socialist International across the greater MT NSWorld.
We must grow in quality as an alliance and keep this alliance together.
