2nd Meeting of Frankenlisch [IC|Applications|Open to all]

Postby Vionna-Frankenlisch » Sat May 14, 2016 2:15 pm

Welcome, all nations!

Representatives of all nations of the world are invited to attend the Second Triannual Meeting of Frankenlisch, an event hosted 2-3 times a year by Vionna-Frankenlisch in which all (or atleast most) nations are invited to send representatives to discuss not only diplomacy between the nations present but also to seek mutual solutions to problems affecting the world and the nations in it.
His Imperial Majesty, King James, hopes that this year's events will be more successful than last year's due to a few changes. This year, nations of any ideologies are allowed to attend, and the full meeting will only begin when all representatives are present.

Accomodation

As with last year, several luxury 'Sea Suites' from the 'Poseidon's Wrath' hotel have been secured but as a new improvement for this year the 'Cloud Palace' hotel has granted us use of their entire top floor which allows up to 24 pairs of representatives to attend this year's events (bearing in mind that ambassadors from Frankenlischian Commonwealth realms will have rooms in the Royal Apartments).

Security

As with last year the elite Cordovan Guards will be patrolling the premises, however to ensure the safety of all delegates each attending ambassador and guest will be assigned a personal bodyguard from the Royal Special Operations Service (RSOS or just SOS) as well as a personal female servant (all servants will however be highly trained undercover agents of the IIU/Imperial Intelligence Unit). Hopefully this will secure the security of all delegates and other attendees.

Other Notes

Representatives will be allowed to bring others with them, however there will be a limit of six attendees per nation as any additional people will have to have accommodation and personal security arranged for them by their respective nation or delegate. Also a limit of three personal guards has been put in place, not only to secure the safety of attendees from other nations but also simply to keep the peace in the capitol.

Code: Select all
Full Nation Name:
Leader:

Name of Attending:
Age:
Role within the Nation:
Health Concerns:

Rules: All attending nations must fill out an application, if you have been invited to attend by telegram, then you will still have to fill out an application just to inform me on who is attending the event. Alternate races (other than humans) are allowed but please keep it atleast semi-realistic, I don't mind about ponies or even furries but I will not allow a demi-god of the sky to stomp around Central Frankenlisch disturbing public transport while trying to put forward an argument about free healthcare. I am OP and I may also appoint CO-OPs. Please keep discussions purely political, I don't mind a few jokes but try not to fill the conversation with terrible puns and memes. Finally, while a small diplomatic incident would be quite the interesting twist on this peaceful (hopefully) event, I'm not having someone start a nuclear war here.

A grey helicopter swooped over the hotel, heading to a landing pad a small ways away.
Sam Israt, the diplomat representing Orostan, gazed out of his helicopter's window at the gigantic hotel. They'd be landing soon, and his pilot instructed he put his seatbelt on as they landed, so he did.

The helicopters touched down, each bearing the Orostani flag on their side and an identification number on their tail. His two guards and one aide stepped out of the helicopter with him, and greeted the personnel at the pad.

"Hello, I am Sam Israt, I will be representing Orostan at the meeting."

"Where should I and my companions go?"

Cloud Palace Hotel, Helipad #3

Standing upon the helipad was a balding, tall man, the emblems on his jacket showed that he was a member of the Vionna-Frankenlischian 'Special Operations Service'.
He had been placed on the helipad incase anyone should attempt to go there instead of meet at the Imperial Palace.

As the helicopter carrying Sam Israt touched down, the SOS officer stepped forwards. "Hello." Said Israt, he introduced himself as the Orostan representative and asked where he should go.
"Welcome to Frankenlisch, Mister Israt." Replied the officer, "I am Major Horatio Brand, 1st SOS, there is a Limo waiting for you on the street below, I will accompany you and it will take you to the designated meeting point at the Imperial Palace."

He proceeded to ask, "Have you received your StratopadTM yet? If not, I will issue it to you in the Limousine"

I have not heard of, or received a Stratopad.

I will proceeded to the limo, and I trust lodging will be found for my pilot and guards?

Limo, Streets of Frankenlisch

"So you don't have your StratopadTM yet?" Stated Major Brand. He produced something from the drawer in the coffee table separating him from Sam.
"Here." Israt was handed a strange device, it was the size of an Ipad Pro, but it had corners rather than rounded edges and seemed to be made of nothing but glass with the exception of a metal ridge around the outside.

"Don't be intimidated," said Brand, "They are issued to all our military officers... But yours has been wiped of any sensitive info, keep it, it's yours it'd be best to keep it in it's current mode while in Vionna-Frankenlisch but you're more than welcome to return it to it's military function mode when you leave. We also sell them, but that's something for later..."

The Limo rounded a corner into a street which on the right side housed a huge park, complete with ponds, flowers, several gazebos and a band of well dressed negro men playing various instruments. Major Brand seemed to notice Israt's interested expression and opened his mouth once more, "That there is the King's Imperial Gardens, it's a nice place... And you know what, it's yours until the conference is over." He paused to let the honour sink in, "Well yours as well as all the other delegate's."

Thank you. Have the other delegates arrived yet?

We have much to discuss.

Helipad, Roof of the National Security Offices

"Jesus Christ!" remarked the Helicopter's co-pilot, "Are you aware that you almost killed the prince!?!"
"I'm sorry, my lord, I'm just a rookie... I shouldn't have been flying!"
"Hush, hush, everybody calm down." Ordered the Prince, Xavier Lennox. "I will make sure that any repairs for the helipad and helicopter will come out of your paycheck and you will remain unpunished and will be allowed to stay in Frankenlisch for the rest of the conference."

Xavier pointed at the Poseidon's Wrath Hotel, "That's where I'll be staying." He moved his finger to the colossal structure of the Cloud Palace Hotel, "And there's where you'll be staying."
"M- My Lord..." The young man stuttered, removing his goggles. "You cant surely mean..."
"The Cloud Palace Hotel, the most... ahem, Second most luxurious hotel in Frankenlisch!" He produced something from his pocket, a piece of paper. "Show this to the lobby staff and they'll show you to your room, 2025 I believe."
The pilot fell to his knees and grasped Prince Xavier's hand between two of his and shook vigorously... "Thank you, my lord, my greatest of thanks!"
Xavier smiled, "Yes..." He threw the young man off, "Now... Where are our attendants?"

The pilot scurried off, hailing a taxi, he ordered it to take him to his 'new place'...

Cloud Palace Hotel, Vionna-Frankenlisch

Chancellor Helene Enseling walked through the front door of Cloud Palace and took a deep breath. She walked up to the front desk and said, "Guten tag. I am Chancellor Enseling. I believe I have a reservation here. Also, could I get a bellhop to help me with my bags?"

Imperial Palace, Front Courtyard

Suddenly, the doors of the Imperial Palace swung open and out of it marched 30 young brunette women in dress uniform(1), they lined up equally on both sides of the gravel path and saluted as another 30 men marched out of the grand building, this time in operational fatigues(2). They stopped but remained in column as Prince Xavier stood, mouth agape at the unexplained parade. All of a sudden a limo rounded the corner and stopped infront of the Imperial Palace, it's doors swung open and an officer of the RSOS got out. Following him was a strange foreigner who introduced himself to Prince Xavier as Sam Israt the Orostani diplomat.

Soon enough the column of men also broke ranks and joined the lines of women on either side of the path, however, one of the men still stood in the center of the gravel... He stepped forward, offering his hand to be shook. "Greetings, my lords, I am Brigadier Howland of the Royal Special Operations Service." He said smiling.

Cloud Palace Hotel, Lobby
"Ah yes, m'lady." Said a desk clerk, "You are from Growenbek, ja?" The man motioned for a nearby bellhop. "Take the lady's bags to room 3098."
The young man scampered off to the elevator pulling the heavy bags along with him, as Helene turned to follow him, the desk clerk cleared his throat, "Ahem."
She turned around, the clerk pointed behind her discreetly. Two people, a middle aged man and a beautiful young woman, walked towards her. They both drew ID cards from inside their fatigues.
"Helene Enseling?" The gentleman said, "I'm Captain Harold Darling, you need to come with us..."

2.There are 4 types of uniform in the Vionna-Frankenlischian Military, Dress Uniform (for parades and formal occasions), Off-duty/undress Uniform (for when soldiers are not on duty but still want to wear uniform for whatever reason), Operational Uniform (for soldiers who are overseas or atleast taking some kind of role possibly near combat) and Combat Uniform (pretty obvious)

Frankenlisch International Airport, Lobby

Sir Arthur was getting rather flustered he kept checking his watch his eyes were everywhere with his safety always in the back of his mind .
He had been waiting for nearly an hour and was looking for some kind of signal that Vionna - Frankenlish had noticed his arrival he was not in the best of moods as he did not have a good night's sleep.

Then he glanced over to the door of the airport terminal and noticed a red carpet laid out,he thought this was rather odd and wondered why Vionna Frankenlish
had gone to all this trouble of putting down a red carpet when relations between the countries were not good.
He walked towards the door and as he got nearer he noticed that the carpet was embroidered with tiny Belvanian flags all around the edges, then suddenly a group of Vionna-Frankenlischian soldiers marched past him followed by another three groups and afterwards by a column of twenty T-72 tanks finally at the end of the procession followed a luxury limousine with the Belvanian flag painted on the front and the roof.

A Broken Helipad

"Do you even know how to fly this thing!" The Pilot screamed as Jake jumped into the front, pushing the co-pilot in the back. The helicopter was shifting from side to side, with one blade clipped. Jake pulled the stick to the left, overshooting the helipad, and nearly missing a light post. A Spec-Ops soldier who was acting as a guard for Jake pulled him back, and the pilot corrected what Jake had done earlier. He landed on the helipad, and everyone got out. The one guard equipped a Colt 1911 pistol, and stored some ammo in his pockets. "At least we're not dead." Jake said nervously. They then started walking off the helipad and to wherever they were staying.

A black chopper wiht the Crimorian flag on the side lands right near the hotel on a heli pad. The General gets off with two guards behind him. Looking around at the area he considers this place quite developed. " You two stay with the chopper I'm off to find my hotel room". He looks around asking where his room would be.

Looking out of the Window of Room 3099

Sir Edward looked out of the window, "Most interesting. . . a very favourable style of flying an helicopter", he snickered to himself. He had been a combat pilot during his military service, 7th Royal Regiment of Aviation. Sir Edward was travelling without out an escort, why would he ? There was no security risk at place, and he didn´t need a secretary to sort out his paper work. He was expected to do that himself.

Edward shook his head an left for the floor. Now how should he visit ? After a few seconds of consideration, he decided on General Rosenburg, as defensive alliances was always something the Isles were interested in. And if not, he might give away some information on the current status of the Crimorian Military...

Airman's Avenue, Central Frankenlisch
Outside Frankenlisch International Airport

The sliding door of the limousine slid open and inside was a man in his late 30s and a woman in her mid 20s. They both wore operational fatigues and the man was clearly displaying a 45. calibre handgun in an underarm holster. "Ahh, Sir Arthur", he said smiling. "Please, sir, I am Ensign William Davet and this is Operative Gilly..." The woman saluted.
"I am your personal bodyguard and Gilly will be your assistant in Vionna-Frankenlisch. Mister Straithclyde, your attendants are waiting in your hotel room, we have arranged for transport so please wait here awhile with your..." Davet glanced at the Belvanian bodyguards, "Friends..."

Sir Arthur clambered into the limo and closed the door, quickly, it began to drive through the streets. Making it's way out of the internal commerce district and towards Parliament Square, Ensign Davet pulled something from his messenger bag. "Here." He said handing the object to Greenslade, "I would be honoured to issue you with this Stratopad, yours has been wiped of any sensitive military information and it has been restored to it's original personal setting. But these devices are issued to every officer in His Majesties Imperial Armed Forces." He gave a small smile, possibly just to reassure Greenslade that he was friendly but it seemed to have another meaning, possibly hinting to Greenslade that he was not truly safe, after all the military he was talking about was, up until the ceasefire a few days ago, actively fighting the military of Belvania. Anyway Greenslade realised that the limo had stopped and he was now positioned outside the Imperial Palace, where Prince Xavier of Molvani, a foreign diplomat bearing the flag of Orostan in his suit pocket and a military officer were waiting.

They got out of the car and stood with the other delegates. Suddenly another limo rounded the corner, and out stepped another military officer and another young woman with black hair unlike the rest who were brunettes. Following them was a woman who Greenslade identified as Helene Enseling, Chancellor of Growenbek, they had never met but Greenslade knew her well enough.
The young woman had a constant frown and did not speak but the officer had a smile stretched across his face as he spoke to her... "Come on Nonna, speak to the Chancellor why don't you!"

Imperial Palace, Front Courtyard

Sam Israt, Helene Enseling, Sir Arthur Greenslade, Prince Xavier and their attendants all stood infront of the monolithic Imperial Palace. Down the street walked two helicopter pilots, a Spec-Ops operative and a young man dressed rather smartly, the smouldering remains of a helipad and helicopter atop the Department of Civil Justice indicated where they came from and Brigadier Howland immediately recognised one of them as Jake Mursh, son of the president of New Jersey and Malta, "Ahh, my lord!" Howland shouted to get the man's attention, and began to jog towards him. Behind, two people from the path, a man and woman run along to catch up with Howland, the old officer looks at his younger counterparts and says, "Jaremy, Meera, you will attend to Mister Mursh, you both know your instructions."
"Yes, sir." Came the answer from both of them.
As Howland approached Jake, he held out his hand for the young politician to shake. "My lord, welcome to Frankenlisch, our glorious capital. Jaremy and Meera Poltov here will be attending to you for the duration of the conference. This is your Stratopad..." He handed Jake the device which all other delegates had been assigned with. (if you know nothing about a Stratopad, then check the fourth reply to this thread, if you haven't already)

Cloud Palace Hotel

The Cloud Palace staff had been instructed to play the following message throughout the hotel for approximately 5 - 20 minutes: "All delegates here for the 2nd Meeting of Frankenlisch, please head to the street infront of the hotel, transport has been arranged to take you to the frontal courtyard of the Imperial Palace to receive your attendants and instructions!"

Cloud Palace Hotel

Upon hearing that the meeting was about to start, Sir Edward decided to end his attempts on communication with other attendees and prepare himself quickly. He went back to his room and put on his 7th Aviation Dress Uniform. While the heavy breastplate wasn´t necessary fitting anymore and the helmet was very much unwieldy, he still felt some comfort whilst wearing it.

On the outside of the building, he was received by a group of security guards and a limousine. While his strange appearance caught him some closer looks by the security guards, the leader just asked "Mr. Bull ?".

"I am so" he replied.

Cloud Palace Hotel Rooftops

The gentle whirring of a Kazakh Mi-17 helicopter could be heard, ever increasing in intensity as it drew closer to the helipad atop Cloud Palace Hotel. "Eta 30 seconds," the pilots voice could be heard through the blackened headphones, Bailey spoke to the four bodyguards, John/Cassidy/Sarah/Lewis about what to do when they landed and procedure there on after, whilst Joe sat staring out of the window, silently remarking on the sheer beauty of the place, he couldn't help but feel a certain jealousy as Comcaliph was a developing nation.

They flew over buildings, above the clouds and down below, slowly circulating to a complete stop above the tall and magnificent structure, hovering until a helipad was ready for landing.

Here we go Joe thought to himself silently, Bailey patted him and caught him up with procedure, ",The bodyguards will talk for us until we arrive at the meeting location, we spot anything suspicious we duck behind a bodyguard instantly, do not acknowledge anyone else living here as a precaution".

The helicopter thudded a little as it touched on the ground, and the men got out, slightly taken aback by the height and the temperature difference from inside a cramped helicopter containing 7 men, to the vast open space almost drifting in the clouds.

The pilot prepared to take off again, and BD Cassidy approached the team who she assumed would guide them to the meeting location.

Aircraft of the Union Administration

“Oh, I was rather surprised too. I know that it was said that we wanted to make ourselves heard on an international level but this is going a lot more smoothly than expected.” Vytis Kraujelis looked at the other two sitting around him. Asta was dressed in a slim black skirt and blazer, matching his own black suit, and sporting a blue armband to signify her allegiance to the Council.
“Indeed, indeed. But it is good to be out and about. I remember that, back in the day, all we did was condemn Carlistan and wait for a condemnation to come back as a response. Have you ever been abroad before?” she glanced up from her coffee to let her eyes settle on the third person in the cabin. The young man had striking red hair to go with the otherwise almost entirely black uniform, the colour only broken by yellow stripes along the trouser legs and on the back of the jacket. Vytis cocked his head, he could not quite remember his name... Vitim? Veito? He hoped that Asta was more informed than he was.
“No Comrade representative, this is my first time”, the young man smiled, inclining his head in Asta's direction: “I must say that it is rather exciting.”
Vytis laughed: “My thoughts exactly when I was first sent to the Nordermark. In the end, I do not doubt you will gather some very important experiences as you meet other people.”
“As long as we keep an open mind.” Asta nodded, “these people behave very differently from us, have different customs and a different government. However, we should not submit to the urge to judge them too soon.”
“I think I understand, Comrade representative. I will stay back anyway, my task here is very different from yours.”
“Hmm,” Asta was stirring her coffee, eyes staring into nothingness, “so it would seem.”

Frankenlisch International Airport

They had proceeded swiftly. Although catching the stares of many other passengers due to the Commissar, customs had not proven a challenge and they were soon standing in the spacious lobby, a lot more impressive than anything the Letwinist States had to offer, waiting for a glance of their hosts.

Cloud Palace Hotel

After hearing the message played throughout the hotel, the Noiharan Leader Akio Eberbach checked his appearance one last time. He smoothed his uniform, adjusted his belt and his sword. A knock on his door interrupted the situation. Yuuko Nakamura, the Noiharan Minister of Defense and Akio's consultant, opened the door and walked in "My Leader, everything is prepared and the people they call "security forces" are waiting. Are you ready to go?".

"Yes, I am", he replied, as he started to walk out of the room, "have you took a look around this hotel? It's quite enjoyable.". "Nothing we don't have in Noihara too, my Leader. If you order, we could build Hotels twice as big and luxorious as this one" said Yuuko. Her absolute patriotism was something Akio liked about her, but in the same time, he hated it. "Don't push statements like these too far in front of the other delegates please. I would like be in good terms with them." retorted Akio. "It's not like we need them, my Leader! We are strong and independent from these ...these...ignorant subjects, but as you wish I will hesitate to point out their deficits. I may not have the best diplomatic etiquette, but I surely know how to behave in front of them.", answered Yuuko. Akio rolled his eyes. He was annoyed by her behavior, because as always, she critizises almost everything foreign. In front of the hotel they were received by a limousine and security guards. Yuuko closely inspected the guards, wishing she could say something to them. She did not like their behavior and their discipline. "They are not like our Jaegers, but they will do their job too." said Akio. Yuuko just nodded and somehow tried to hide her reluctance.

Zeus Avenue, Central Commerce District
Infront of the Cloud Palace Hotel

5 Limos all stood along the curb directly ahead of the entrance of the Cloud Palace lobby. Each one had the flag of a certain nation on the roof and sliding door. The limo adorned with the crossed swords and tricolour of the Unified Isles was already speeding off to the Imperial Palace and Noiharan delegates were making their way towards their limo (what luck that their bodyguard was Colonel Bryn Phillips, possibly the most patriotic member of the RSOS) and the Comcaliph representatives strolled towards their limo. The car that was meant for the Leftwinists was driving away as apparently their ambassadors had been spotted at Frankenlisch International.

True freedom can only be where there is no exploitation and oppression of one person by another; where there is not unemployment, and where a person is not living in fear of losing his job, his home and his bread. Only in such a society personal and any other freedom can exist for real and not on paper.” -J. V. STALIN
