In RL, no sovereign nation would for the love of life and sweet Jesus Christ allow anyone to infringe upon their sovereignty. It's how I run Project Warfighter, which ranges in active membership from 10 to 60 people. I run it more-or-less alone with the final authority to delegate small powers onto others(such as creating new threads or accepting/declining applicants).

I only do things like having threads created when it's obvious the population of the group wants a thread. If a large enough population of the group wants something done, then I'd do that. We could adopt that here, since it's the simplest way to govern a thread like this. We all, as a group, get together and decide what we want, and the OP picks that direction. The OP has the executive power, but the OP follows the wishes of the membership.

Limitation: OP needs to be active.

On the aircraft carrier the airmen looks left and right making sure it was go. Both men on the sides nodded causing the pilot to look straight. "Acceleration... annnd It's a go." he radioed. The plane swiftly ran across the AC, gaining speed then it took off into the sky. Another plane took off a few seconds after Elijah's. It was a MRA-21 sortie that was meant to fly south and patrol airspace. Alyria itself was becoming more dominant in controlling the waterways and airspace within regions near the ASRT as more war and violence came up in the world. It was normal protocol to have these sorties in the skies most of the time.

The fighter jets continued to fly south towards,

"This is Viper 2-1." One man radioed in while another did the same.

"This is Viper 2-2, uhhh we've spotted a unknown aircraft within our radar. They're going pretty fast in our direction, how copy?"

"Viper 2-2 this is Overlord we've gotten your call uhhh what's it's speed of the aircraft and can you confirm it?"

"Uhh, Maybe around mach 1.3, how copy?"

"Viper 2-2, did you say mach 1.3? Over?"

"Affirmative, Overlord"

A little silence over comms falls in then the command center returns back.

"Uhh Viper 2-1 and Viper 2-2, we have no information of any commercial aircraft in the area being able to go that fast, uhhh engage if hostile but try to stay above ears. Comms out."

"Viper 2-1, Wilco."

"Viper 2-2, Wilco."

Both of the fighter jets zoom through the air, the dot on the radar get's closer to them giving anticipation. Elijah being the second callsign continued to look into the screen, before he knew the object was right in front of him. The unknown jet flew past the sortie very closely, alarming them.

"Viper 2-2, this is Viper 2-1. You see how close that thing flew past us? Think we should radio that in, how copy?"

"Viper 2-1, uhh yeah. We'll radio in...."

Later that week more incidents became frequent however when Alyrian Air Wings threatened to shoot down anybody continuing to do it, the event slowly stopped. The unknown jets came from one nation, one that would be soon known and aggressive, even willing to challenge the empire and other ASRT nations.

March 25th 1109 Hours- ASRT Waters, 8th Fleet CSG-15- EES Crown Jewels

Dave Garter A1C

Elijah walked down to meet his co-pilot, underneath the carrier side ready to board the jet. Shaking his hand, "Dave, we just got raised to alert 1. Plans have changed in ASRT HQ, we're launching now. CAG says we're on a special mission, we ain't here for some Alpha Mike Foxtrot bombings. Comms will fill us in airnorne but we're are supposedly flying over foriegn airbases doing reconnaisnace missions over and with those recent incidents in the past week, maybe some actual strike hostilities. ELINT has sat images of where the unknown's air bases and we're suppose to give extra information about them and flex our military might.... So you better flex hard Dave. The Empire wants to see it. We'll that's pretty much it, so only a few bogies already in the air but they can't do anything yet, as of now." Elijah finished talking as he walked up toward the jet he was taking with Dave. It was a MRA-21 Siren, a fine fast baby. One of the best jets in the entire world with thankfully a good combat record. They go into the jet, with their helmets all tucked inside.

"Viper 2-4, your second in line."

"Viper 2-4, roger"

"Check the brakes and the flaps and stabs, left side."

"Okay good, right side?"

Elijah gives a thumbs up to the men outside as Dave confirms a good go. "Alright, systems check weapons, initiate HMD visor."
"Green light, switch to the 25mm cannons."
"Okay good, gun spun up. Missiles check."

Dave checked the missile system and then the flares and rest of the countermeasures giving Elijah a green light.

"Alright Dave, weapons and countermeasures are good to go. Have good ends, good highs, good lows and no lights out. Ready in the back Dave? Here. We. Go."

Dave signaled a thumb ups, as the cat shot was readied they were all prepared for takeoff. For a few seconds they waited then the plane was catapulted out into the air from the carrier EES Crown Jewels, reaching high acceleration as it should.

"Good shot, good end speed, good engines. Gear up."

Another man in the radio called in immediately, "Viper 2-4, turn heading 2-8-0. How copy?"

"Viper 2-4, good copy." Both fighter jet's turned around and headed for their destination.

"Viper 2-4, this is Viper 2-2. Leveling off on your starboard."

"Gotcha."

They continued to stream through the air however it was during a storm, bad weather was getting common lately as well.

"Viper 2-4, This is Overlord 4-1-4. Contact 24 miles. I have a flight of 2, Firebirds 4. Coming off the deck northwest of your position. Turn to heading 3-1-0."

"Viper 2-4, copy. Heading 3-1-0 firebirds 4. Viper 2-2 turn in now."

"Master arm on, master arm on. Good light"

The fighter jet sortie flew into the cloud layer with minor turbulence ready to conduct it's missions. This is the beginning of Dave and Elijah's career in ASRT flights and for the empire's more open approach in diplomacy... Gunboat diplomacy.
