Bedouin and Berber Regions Formally Gain Independence!

Postby The Empire of Khet » Thu Jan 21, 2016 4:51 pm

The Tuareg Berber region of Azawad in the north of Mali, long claiming to be separate from the Socialist Worker's Republic of Khet, and the Sudan, where 1/4 of the population are Bedouins, have both been recognized as independent nations by the government of Khet. Just two years ago, Azawad declared its independence, and with foreign help, was reduced to a few small pockets. That same year, Khet launched a massive invasion of Sub-Saharan Africa, and much of Africa is currently under Kheti control.

But now, Presidents Abdul Hussein and Mohammed Takar have decided to officially recognize "the distinct and separate native regions of Azawad and Northern Sudan as independent nations". Azawad will be a Presidential Republic ruled by Tuaregs, while northern Sudan will be an Islamic Republic controlled by either the Nubians or the Bedouins, to be determined in elections.
