My special forces would keep low key, mostly doing hit and run missions. I should also hope that the rest of the IFC would he giving them support. I'd imagine we'd have sattelites and drones giving them intel. Also, if he nukes himself, well, that's his problem. I'd shotgun the remains for weapons testing.

As for sanctions and embargoes, they would mostly have a provocative purpose, to try and make him sally forth straight into our navies. It'll be Admiral Ackbar and the trap all over again. He can claim what he likes, but it'll still hurt him if there's no trade passing through his maritime borders, which seeing as he is an island, may be a problem for him..

It's more of a shift in the IFC...
If you can see when I drew that picture, the IFC and SACTO were bumping heads and it lead into the Aravean Conflict (which never happened).

My point behind that was that was hypocritical to hate on SACTO (and our diverse body of anti-communist ideologies) for supposedly being a threat to freedom while letting socialists and monarchists run rampant in the IFC...

Erm, most of the monarchies here including mine either have no or little constitutional power. My monarch, on paper had quite a bit of power, but if he ever used it, a crisis would emerge which would do one of two things: either reduce him to a purely ceremonial role with no power whatsoever or simply depose him. Both of which would fuel a civil war which would last for years until one side is completely defeated. Such a war would ruin and splinter the unity of the empire and I would probably end RPing a nation no larger than 25 million people..
