My favourites this year were (in no particular order) Switzerland, Israel, Serbia, Estonia, Romania, Netherlands, Russia. When I say favourites, I meant the only ones I liked.

Which was the worst:
Germany's first ever (As a whole country) 0?
Or Austria getting the first ever 0 points WHILE HOSTING
"Hello Europe!"
"Well fuck you too"
Also, Obligatory goodbye suzy.

Austria placed last and got nil points.

Ouch.

On the sidenote, I can already tell I'm gonna be doing a all Eurovision NF for next competition.

I finished my floppy entry. :P

Shocked that two countries got nil points - the first time since 1997 (for two nil points) and 2003 (for a single nil point in a final).

I honestly did not see Sweden winning at all. It wasn't close to my favourites. I also have this voting that I conduct between my IRL friends (this year Latvia won) and Sweden didn't even make it to the Top 10. I did not prepared to face a Swedish victory at all. Not that I anticipated Russia winning but it had a much better opinion among my friends (top 5).

Austria's 2015 entry > their 1967 entry

There were some similarities between Eurovision 1967 and 2015:
- Switzerland getting the lowest placing of all the participating nations (17th and least points in the semifinal, effectively 40th out of 40th; nul points in 67)
- The host announcing the winner correctly but before the final votes have been read
- Appearance by the Vienna Boy's Choir (though this was kinda expected since it's Austria and all)
- not really a similarity but the solo/standout violin in A Monster Like Me reminds me of Italy 1967 and as a result I really think it could've done well if they sent it in '67 rather than '15
- I'm pretty much pushing the limits here but linguistic accessibility: in 1967 they had the titles of each song shown along with English, French, and German translations of it - this year there are international sign language interpreters available on demand

Also N&P, is MondeVis 38 your country's title for WorldVision 39? I don't know what the name of your language is but I find it interesting

Sorry, that should be MondeVis 39. I got lazy and copied the bit at the top from Worldvision 38, so it still had 38 on it. My nation's language is called Norgwéan and is, as you can guess, a conlang.

And the first time a host country has come last since 1958. And the first time the host nation got nul points.

Also, random question: Does anyone else think that Israel's entry would've been a little bit better if he had worn a gold suit, since it would fit with the whole "golden boy" aspect? Not literally a suit made out of gold, since solid gold is heavier than you think. But rather a gold coloured suit (with a gold coloured tie to match).

The first thing in my mind when I heard that Golden Boy was Israel's entry, were the songs Golden Boy by Sin with Sebastian and Love Boy (I think it's called that) by Dana International. Not that that matters but yeah, a golden suit would have helped, if only because of the gimmick value.

I'm surprised he didn't. He had gold shoes though didn't he?

The start of the song doesn't really suit him wearing a golden suit from the outset, plus the spark shower when the stage turned to gold was a good effect and it'd kind've be ruined if he had started in gold.

China?? Eurovision happens at like 3 in the morning there...
Not to mention how it even less European than Australia or Israel, or even the US.

Might as well have the US join.

It was from Wikipedia I'll admit, but then again China does have a bit of a Eurovision fan base there.

I would actually kinda like it, since it would be nice to have different cultures exhibited.
