Biography: Choe Pu-il is a Busan native who was born as the son to the Chairman of Busan People's Committee. Because of his father's high political position, Choe enjoyed an increased odds at penetrating the political scene, an opportunity he happily took. Choe Pu-il graduated from Kim Il-sung University and was an active member of the League of Socialist Working Youth of Korea throughout the 1970s and 1980s, eventually becoming one of the leading members of the organization. After the rapid fall of Kim Il-sung's regime and with it, some of the highest ranking politicians in the country in 1990, Choe Pu-il along with many other young politicians was tasked with determining the future of the Korean Worker's Party, where he took a staunchly conservative stance. Choe Pu-il and many other politicians formed a political coalition to attempt to maintain Kim Il-sung's legacy, but the more liberal and reformist faction lead by Kang Tae-suk won out. Because of this defeat, Choe Pu-il has gradually faded away from mainstream Korean politics, but he's still been taking part in leading various youth groups in the country and more recently has been working in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Busan tourism board.

FOREIGN POLICY

Other Alliance Memberships: OOC wise, the owner of this puppet has a nation in the IFC (no, I'm not one of Reagan's spies). ICwise, an attempt at the nonaligned movement that's dead now which could be found on my signature.
Foreign Policy: Korea's foreign policy is rooted in Neo-Juche which believes that Korea staying allies to just one particular Great Power or bloc will culminate in the exploitation, colonization, abuse and ultimately the collapse of Korean society. As a result, Korea is rather open and nondiscriminatory when it comes to who they ally so as long as they are dependable and don't pose a threat to any of Korea's other diplomatic ventures. Don't they just count those who are able to serve and not the actual number of active and reserve personnel?

You're a tad too unfree for my taste, so I'd be on the fence about letting you in. But I'm not a Commissar, so my word only goes so far.
If you go to your budget page here on NS, there should be an exchange rate that you can use if you want. NST has permanently died, so don't worry about that.
You really don't need a puppet for the UL. I'm personally a member of the UL and the IFC with this nation*. There isn't some massive rivalry, really, so it's not like you really need a puppet, but it's your choice.
* = Though, I'm sure you can tell just by my sig who I'd support more if anything destabilizing were to occur.

Well at the moment(spoiler for those who don't know) there is going to be a leftist organization called the New Internationale(created by I, the old leader of the communist movement) We will only not let in the extreme-dystopian types because I hate defending for them and the sheer fact that most of those types aren't communist. so as long as your not plagiarizing fucking orwell or something you'd be fine.
Which reminds me UL - we need to talk about the leftist movement and what were gonna do.

Sounds legit. I like the name of it.
And don't worry. My DPRK is actually progressive in comparison to other modern Communist states like China or Vietnam. I based it on the dictatorships of the former USSR, like Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and so on. Yes, there's a strong man in power who rules with an iron fist, state propaganda dominate infotainment, and many opposition members have been imprisoned or assassinated. But on the flip side, freedom of religion exists, opposition parties are legal (albeit with being continually harassed by the government), internet is only moderately regulated (most of the major social networks and non-state news websites can be accessed), and even some non-state controlled news media exists to an extent.
