Indeed, an IRC would be preferable

ROFTLOL!

It's typical for them, apparently. It seems all of us are getting famous, considering the fact that we're being talked about and insulted.

I never laughed so hard In my entire life.

No, more like trying to get us busted for plagiarism it seems. Not sure why anyone else would openly compare the layout of both of our opening posts.

I honest to god made the thing from scratch. I know what the MSU is up to.

I don't... I dont know whether I should cry of laughter.. orrrr... just fall over dead from all those pointless insults they seem to throw at us.

I think I might hyperventilate from laughing too much.

You do realize that the last time there was an APU it resulted in massive series of wars between COPs, itself, and the anti ponyists right?

Deian it's because they believe them to be a plague.(which they are not. Annoying sure but not worth exterminating)

Granted I have killed my fair share but that was a long time ago.

Don't even acknowledge it, please. I'll handle it from here.

No matter how much it is hilariously hypocritical and/or rage inducing, the best solution is to continue it doesn't exist. So let's do that right now, shall we?

Another good day - a week without rain was an omen to be thankful for considered Muri Mide, Capodiece of the Kouralian Army, well-liked friend of his men and son of Alter Mide, a Magistrate in the border town of Arlen. Life was - as it had inevitably been to him for the twenty five years he’d been alive - good. The faint jingle of the mail of him and his men mixed into the suddenly-ended clopping of the horses hooves as they paused momentarily at the mouth of a dirt path down the small dell and then up to the villa which sat just on the crest of the last ridge before the sea.

“Your father will be most pleased to see you, Master Mide.” Massavo, the aptly-named Chietan porter said, shielding his eyes from the even-now bright sun as they admired the villa. The servant wore a simple tunic, though at his waist he carried a sword - common for a porter in the border regions who was expected somewhat to be the security for his master in addition to simply the doorkeeper. Not that the bulky, bald man looked like he’d really need it to kill someone - if those arms couldn’t choke the life out of someone then there would be little that could.

Next to the ebony-skinned servant, Muri and his four attendant cavalrymen looked almost stick-like and pale in comparison - though of course they were all bronzed by the sun and their outdoor job, and hardened from service in the border regions against the Altonian Raiders. Each of the regular cavalrymen carried small round shields strapped to their backs, painted green and decorated with a golden laurel wreath which stretched almost entirely around the shield - leaving a place at the top for where a four-pointed silver star showed the minor allowance of their commander’s heraldry. In addition to this they carried long spathae at their waists and short dory spears in their hands. Unlike his fellows, the young Officer only carried the straight, double-edged sword - though his armour was somewhat more ornate - wearing a Corinthian helmet tilted back like a cap rather than the Chalcidian helmets worn by the lower ranking soldiers.

“I hope so, Massavo. It’s been a long time, and I know he didn’t approve of me taking the route as a Cavalryman.” he gestured to the men with him. “Arriving in the company of such soldierly fellows can but raise his esteem for me, though…” he sighed and turned to the men. “If my father is somewhat brusque with you, please don’t take offence. He merely…” Muri thought for a moment. “Disapproved of a non-Infanteer profession.” The men nodded understandingly at that, before spurring their horses forwards in a canter after their commander and the Porter, down toward the villa. As they arrived, the men spread out as Muri brought his horse to a halt, striking his best heroic pose while his men - as agreed in the pub before they left Arlen - struck their best ‘soldier who adores his commanding officer, so please father respect my choices’ poses. Massavo instead dropped from his horse and held the reins tightly, standing still and sticking his chest out to call out and announce the arrival of his master’s son, even if he found it offensive to see that someone had left the front door open when going out to trim the flowers or some other womanly task.

“I present Capodiece Muri Mide to the Magistrate Alter Mide!” He bellowed, as if the noises of the horses and arms wouldn’t provide enough warning that they had arrived. As he said that, Muri swept the helm from his head and took it under his arm, looking down to smile to the father who was even now walking through the do-

The Officer stopped, frowning. His father wasn’t walking through the door - no one was. And there were no sounds from inside the building to even suggest that people were about to greet the triumphantly returning son. He looked quizzically at the dark-skinned Porter, who raised an eyebrow and shrugged, handing the reins to Muri walking forward to the door. he got only half way before he stopped and drew his sword.

“The door’s not open, Master Mide, it’s been broken down!” he called, though quieter this time - in the voice used by someone when they want to shout something, but don’t want to make it easily known to other people. Immediately the five cavalrymen lowered their spears and put their game faces on, two of them spurring their horses forward to move around the sides of the building while the others kept watch for anyone on the ridge-line or the road. Muri, on the other hand, lept down off of the horse and drew his longsword in a single fluid motion - stopped only from running into the house by the warning touch of the Porter. “No, wait until the men are back.” Was all he’d say, watching the doorway intently and holding the unwavering tip of the blade by his side, ready to strike out at any skulking assailant who might get tired of their ambush. Seconds later the two Cavalrymen came back around - both coming the same way as they’d covered all four exterior walls of the building.

“Nothing, Capodiece.” The first man said, shaking his head before dismounting with his fellow as ordered and drawing their swords, leaving their spears by the horses before approaching their commander and the Chietan.

“You head upstairs, Massavo.” Muri said, gesturing to the men with his sword. “You two head to the rear garden and kitchens. I’ll take my father’s study and private rooms.” They nodded, then before either the brutish doorman or helmed and shield-carrying soldiers could offer to go first, Muri moved quickly forwards into the building, his sword held ready for use. The others followed after, spreading out quickly into the open space of the gravelled and paved front garden and colonnade. Without a word Massavo leapt up the stairs into the first floor of the house, the Capodiece leading them through more broken, thin screen doors into the main room. Inside the building was another mosaiced courtyard with a pool to collect rainwater and a small spring from the aquaduct which trickled out with a pleasant soft noise. Ignoring all of this, the two soldiers moved fast and left the room by the corridors at each far-sided corner, heading around the symmetrical, geometrically planned house toward the rear courtyard. Muri on the other hand swept aside the curtain to his father’s sleeping quarters, giving it a cursory look to see that no one was in there - neither were they in the other side rooms. With a heavy heart he burst into the study fully expectant, and thus quite pleased when he didn’t find his father’s body sprawled over his dictations - instead they were spread wildly and in some places torn or trampled. As he paused, wondering what had happened a shout from one of the Soldiers sent him sprinting from the room, sword ready to deal with whatever foeman the Cavalryman had found.

Instead he found the two men standing over the body of a servant he vaguely recognised as his father’s cook. He was lying in the door of the kitchen, a completely clean cleaver half-clutched in the unfeeling, dead fingers of his right hand, and some kind of shattered clay pot in his other - used presumably to hit something or block a blow. In the man’s belly was the obvious cause of death - a sword or spear stab to the stomach which had, judging by the state of the cleaver, happened before he’d even touched one of his assailants. As he tried to piece things together, Massavo ran in from upstairs. “Everyone’s gone except for Arim.” Muri said with a dull, emotionless voice, “No one upstairs?” Massavo shook his head, eliciting an angry curse from the Capodiece. “You two, stay and bury him.” Muri said, pointing to the two Soldiers. “Massavo, remain here and secure anything of my fathers that is of a sensitive nature… I’ll take Folke and Acun back into town - we have to alert them as soon as possible to the possibility of raiders. Once that’s done, all three of you follow on in a group - don’t stop for anything but a patrol of the Guard, and head to the town-house or the Barracks, whichever is appropriate.”

Receiving nods from the men, he headed outside, sword still in hand, and was about to mount his horse when one of the last two soldiers shouted from the sea-ridge down to him. Muri slapped himself on the forehead with his hand, realising how stupid he’d been - his father’s land lay on the other side of the ridge down to the coast. Scrambling up the slope rather than take the less steep path he soon reached the top, where he swore again. Evidence of large fires, and a sizeable encampment stood across by the bay, along with the fact that someone had taken an axe to what must have been nearly every single one of his father’s olive trees.

Altonian raiders - it had to be the Blackshields or some other band of vagabonds, the Cavalry Officer thought as he and his two soldiers were, a mere minute later, riding for Arlen like all of Hades was behind them.

I agree. the most they can do is ineffectual blustering, and once I have my chem and bioweapon market rolling, all will be well.

No... Enough.

APU will no longer engage a hardcore feud between these creatures. The further we go, the worse it will get. I don't want none of us being reported. (Which they cry do that to every nation they don't like). So change the subject and let's move on. We have other important things to discuss rather than sitting around and talk about horse pest.

Now...

New subject....

Who here is willingly to help me build something for the APU?

APU will no longer engage a hardcore feud between these creatures. The further we go, the worse it will get. I don't want none of us being reported. (Which they cry do that to every nation they don't like). So change the subject and let's move on. We have other important things to discuss rather than sitting around and talk about horse pest.

New subject....

Who here is willingly to help me build something for the APU?

name it, brah

I'm talking Military Building, RPs, Recruitments, etc.

Military can shared amongst one another, depending on what tech level you are. FTers exhange to other FT nations and PMTers can exchange to other PMT nations. The list goes on. Share amongst one another, my children. And help this alliance multiply like it never has before. As for RPs, feel free to throw an idea out there. I don't mind. Any RP will do. Eoclivion is our headquarters but I'm afraid it won't be for long because people won't talk. But I'm not stopping there. So anyone here have anything they want to discuss about improvements on APU?

I think a multinational training and research facility would be a good idea, and could easily be expanded upon.

....that escalated quickly.

Or we could host a fantasy based RP. People these days are into fantasy for some strange reason.

I know, right? I was thinking about a Diablo RP or Skyrim. Haven't made up my mind about it.

I have a Warhammer 40K one but I'm afraid to post it because I think it would look ridiculous.
