In no way are monarchies anything resembling democratic states. In true democracies, not only the government but the head of state should elected by the people. In the UPSR the Federal Parliament (lower house) is directly elected by the people, and selects the Federal Premier from among its members. The Federal Premier selects the Federal Cabinet from the legislature, and together they make up the government (which is indirectly elected). The Federal Senate (upper house) is compromised by an equal number of representatives from each republic, who are selected by the democratically elected governments of the republics (this is also an indirect election). The Federal President is directly elected by all citizens of the UPSR, and serves as the head of state with reserve powers to be used in case of emergencies.
In a monarchy (with the exception of elective monarchies), the monarch is an unelected head of state accountable to no one. That is simply unacceptable in any democratic state!
Quite simply, the UPSR is more democratic than Shazbotdom.

@ Secretary-General Alistair Moriarty : Let me clarify this one: the queendom of Dahon is ripe for an invasion by the member-states of the UPSR, simply because we don't hold elections, simply because the offices of the kami are theoretically unaccountable to no one, the office itself being exclusive only to the descendants of the founders (I Kojima Izumi being one of their number)? This despite the fact that the kami have been the upholders of what other nations call "progressive" standards (especially regarding LGBT relations), for as long as documents exist?

False. The Empire is a Monarchy, but the Head of State is our Prime Minister and they are elected. The Head of Government is myself. I hold some power, but the majority of the power for our government lands in the hands of the Parliament and the Prime Minister. I can bypass them if what I am reacting to is a direct threat to the safety and security of the Empire, but most of the time I regress the decision making to the Parliament. That is where the majority of our laws come from. The Prime Minister signs them into law and I add my signature as a final step. I do not retroactively pass laws as that is undemocratic.
Maybe you need to learn some things about the things you speak about, because your ignorance and arrogance will be the failing point of you on the International Scale.

I could agree with that. But it must be noted that both our countries come from very different cultural backgrounds.
Inyurstans prize liberty and freedom above anything else, this is shown by Inyursta's political system which shares many elements with direct democracy. You would be willing to allow divisive speech, as it is a right to you.
In the UPSR we believe we must limit some freedom, in order to protect greater freedom. We have all agreed to prohibit divisive speech, in order to ensure the UPSR's survival as well as that of a stable and tolerant society.
I don't hate Inyursta. I disagree with your views, but I support the right of Inyurstans to decide what their country should be like. Both Inyursta and the UPSR have decided to go down different paths, but we should still try to respect each other.

Let me make one thing clear. The UPSR is not in the habit of invading other countries. What you do in your country is really none of our business, unless your are violating human rights.

Thanks to my mates in Japan and China, many of which North Korean defectors, a "postern" for people of Verdiga, and, eventually, the world, to be able to access the Kwangmyong intranet in North Korea has been developed. Yes, this is dangerous, but all my mates agree it's worth it. All we need is a way to "cloak" the "postern" connection, but according to @Maiko Kusumi, a North Korean defector mate of mine, also one of the 13 to become Verdigers, it is being developed with ease, thanks to a tech-savvy North Korean defector who was a high-ranking official in the Ministry of State Security.
