Raid on the Capital , Unknown Injured Individual Extracted
The war has been marked by the use of small raids on targets of opportunity, however, it has been relatively quiet in the capital, while it is believed several resistance cells have formed inside the capital itself, the Generalismo has claimed that these are simply groups of criminals to be hunted down. However, for the second time in recent history, the Capital was suddenly awoken by the sounds of explosions and gun fire. At approximately 3:00 AM, a firefight erupted near the river docks. Approximately 25 individuals, supposedly Navy Marine Raiders, were engaged by National Guard police while attempting to reach the docks, the ensuing fight was exceptionally brutal, with more than 150 national guard soldiers being killed, all with shot dead with exceptional accuracy, however, that was only the beginning of a more than two hour long running battle. The raiders boarded a series of navy patrol boats, disguised as fishing boats and cargo boats. The small warships departed as quickly as their engines could carry them, however, they did not escape unharassed, for the next two hours, the navy ships fought a running battle with various commandeered watercraft secured by the National Guard, and with their mounted guns, destroyed 16 of these vessels, and killed or injured 245 National Guard soldiers. It is not clear what the objective of this raid was, however, it is noted that an unknown individual was extracted out on a stretcher, seemingly badly wounded from a grenade explosion prior to being loaded onto a vessel. When they reached the mouth of the river, the pursuing boats were met with fire from the cruiser Ilarias, who opened fire with her main guns, the thundering booms of her main battery echoing for miles.
