Since WorldVision 34 is now over, here's the signups for the 35th WorldVision Song Contest! Post your national final here. Or, if you don't want to actually post a national final, you can just tell us the title of the song, and the name of the artist performing it and it will be treated as an internal selection.
The contest itself is the same as Eurovision Song Contest. First, all the participating countries post the performance (with lyrics) of their entry, and then, once all the entries have been performed, every nation decides their votes, with the same 1 to 12 points format as used in Eurovision. Everything's the same except that we don't have those silly rules about how many of them can be on the stage, etc.
All songs in the contest must be original. No real-life songs or artists may be entered into the contest, but parodies of RL song are of course allowed. Parody doesn't mean "real life song with some other words" but a song with TOTALLY different lyrics on the melody of a RL song. Also translations of original lyrics are NOT allowed.

Each user may enter, in addition to their main nation, one puppet nation. Master nations must confirm their puppet. Entering more than one puppet may result in sanctions or disqualification. Voting is compulsory for all participants, and failing to do so will result in disqualification from the next contest.

Anyone who has participated in at least one contest can enter a host bid. Débutantes cannot enter a host bid.

So this year we got a national final where you, the normal people can pick songs after the good debut of Estenia on the 20th place. Estenia offers something more relaxed to the people around the globe and they make you decide what's the song.

Sumaltheria confirms its particapation

The Broadcasters of Elke and Elba - namely Elktel (Elkean Telecommunications) and IBC (Independent Broadcasting Corporation) have decided to go with an internal selection for competitors in Worldvision 35.

They are:



Nattura, representing Arlnonsen, with the song Dark Clouds, internally selected by IBC, and;



Unvocal feat. Andrea Epp, representing Nobreloen, with the song Paths (Divergence), internally selected by Elktel.

It is unfortunate Elke and Elba due to contest rules, as well as disagreements between the two broadcasters, will be unable to participate under its own capacity. However, we hope the two equally Elkean entries represented by our Free Cities will gain Worldvision glory for and in replacement of Elke and Elba.

Anyway, this Worldvision is getting interesting - Normandy and Picardy will be using the song Lyonsland didn't manage to finish in WV32 (I loved it *wink*) and Francilie's going with the first confirmed entry of next year's Eurovision from FYR Macedonia (reminds me, I need to stuff in "Imperija" somewhere into Worldvision *wink* ).

I was just thinking that about Lyonslands entry! I cannot understand a word, but the song is amazing.

I enjoyed reading WV34 and I guess I could give it a go this time round.

But I have a quick question: Are you allowed to base your song on an instrumental? I mean, my entry will have lyrics - obviously - but the song I might base it on does not. If I can't, then I'll find another song, which shouldn't be too difficult.
