After it was announced that Elejamie will be participating in the 35th WorldVision Song Contest, there was plenty of discussion of who would be the first Elejamian entrant. Eventually, it was revealed that popular electronic group Electric Blue - a trio hailing from Berlin, Mittedorf - would be representing Elejamie with their song The Warp, the first single from their upcoming album MFD (Mutually Fine Distraction). ETV1, who has aired the previous installments and will air this one, have also announced that Cerin Erali, male model and host of the radio entertainment show Cerin's Thoughts, will be the Elejamian commentator.

CAPITAL DISTRICT, GREGORYISGODISTAN BID FOR WORLDVISION 35
PRAISE GREG WITH SONG

The Capital District, Gregoryisgodistan, is bidding for WorldVision 35. It will be a most glorious WorldVision and the theme of it will be "Praise Greg With Song".

The event will be held at the Lord Almighty Gregory National Stadium. A special stage will be set up in the middle of the venue for everyone to use. It is capable of all sorts of fancy special effects and choreography. Lord Almighty Gregory National Stadium is used for everything from soccer to public executions.



Postcards

Oh yes, postcards. Postcards will be an image of your flag and singer set on fire, for heathens need to burn since they cannot learn. If you are not singing songs of praise to Lord Almighty Gregory, this will be your postcard. If you are, it will just be your normal flag.

Other unique things

Yes, there will be other unique things about this bid. For one, the following are all capital crimes in Gregoryisgodistan and will result in the immediate execution of the singer or member of the delegation by slow slicing, then beheading while still alive.

Execution in Gregoryisgodistan is done by first slow slicing, then we behead the body while it is still alive, then the head is made into a bomb which is thrown through the window of the family home with the family chained inside and detonated killing them. Then the bodies are burned in a mandatory public ceremony. Failure to attend is punishable by death!
Murder, theft, treason, piracy, using or possessing birth control, disturbing the peace, leaving the country without permission, attempting to defect, jaywalking, speeding, drunk driving, drug times a day, public indecency, fraud, failure to have a proper shrine to Gregory in one's house, distracting a shrine inspection agent while he is at your house, failure to give a shrine inspection agent coffee within 5 seconds of his arrival at your house, kidnapping, arson, assault, smoking, drinking alcohol, drinking orange juice, drinking pear juice, eating oranges, prostitution (for both the prostitute and client), doing jumping jacks, saying the word "coconut", reading a book that is not on the approved books list, thinking about reading a book that is not on the approved books list, drinking on Creation Day, going to the bathroom on Creation Day, failure to pronounce Lord Almighty Gregory's name correctly, and hiccuping.

Additionally, humiliating the nation is punishable by execution but not in the usual matter. You are sliced up into little pieces while still alive, covered in pancake batter and coconut, deep fried, and fed to Lord Almighty Gregory as a forgiveness offering.

Finally, speculating publicly or privately, either verbally or written, that Lord Almighty Gregory is not a deity is punishable by execution of you, everyone you know, everyone they know, everyone you tell your doubts to, everyone they know, everyone those people know, everyone who lives within a 50 mile radius of where you live, everyone who was within a 50 mile radius of you when you expressed those doubts, everyone who lives within a 50 mile radius of the people you told your doubts to, and everyone who was within 50 miles of them when you told them.

If you think about thinking about thinking that Gregory might not be a deity, we execute you in the usual matter. If you think about thinking about it, we execute you and everyone you know. If you think about it, we execute everyone you know and everyone they know.

But of course, actually saying or writing this theory is far worse punishment.

Also, all singers except the winner, the Gregoryisgodistani singer, and anyone who sings songs of praise to Lord Almighty Gregory will be sold into slavery when the contest is over. Some of the sexy ones may be made into sex slaves, but the others will be doing hard, manual labor.

"Poetic license" does exist in Gregoryisgodistan, so singers will not be sentenced to time in a Grammar Reeducation Camp for using bad grammar in their song. However, they should be careful not to use it when not singing, or they will be sentenced to 28 days in such a camp. During this time, they will spend 23 hours a day studying grammar and the remaining hour eating, drinking, going to the bathroom, sleeping, or doing whatever else they need to do. There are also Spelling Reeducation Camps, so delegations should make sure the lyrics are correctly spelled.

Lord Almighty Gregory will be making special appearances throughout the night to give speeches, and all audience members, including foreigners, will be required to bow down to him or be executed. Enemy Crushers will be present at the stadium throughout the night and will crush to death any audience members from countries which do not give points to Gregoryisgodistan. For those unaware of the Enemy Crushers, they all weigh 500 pounds or more (often much more) and crush to death people who are enemies of the state. They cause havoc at every sporting tournament they compete in and have crushed the entire opposing team on multiple occasions. They even crushed several hundred fans per game sometimes. Be sure to give us points.

Additionally, all singers must appear properly clothed. This means they must be wearing something covering their torso, genitals, buttocks, and at least part of their upper legs. Anyone who doesn't will be punished by a Pervert Chaser. Pervert Chasers will cut off the privates of the offender. This also applies to other sex-related offenses such as streaking, rape, molestation, and mooning. Any streakers during the competition will be dealt with harshly. Furthermore, any singer who is a convicted sex offender in their country (by the Gregoryisgodistani definition) will be dickapitated and castrated upon arrival in Gregoryisgodistan, although they will not face any execution unless they commit another sex crime in Gregoryisgodistan.

Green Room


Naturally, the green room will only contain prune juice and gruel rations. Deal with it. Other than that, slaves will be on hand as attendants to fulfill the singers' every need. They will bring in costumes, provide them with prune juice and gruel rations to their heart's content, and serve as bathroom attendants in case any of the singers need to go.
