QUORUM SOLUTION
NOTING that some perfectly sensible proposals fail in the Assembly due to not meeting quorum,
AWARE that, were we to remove the quorum altogether, a proposal could easily win by one vote for and no votes against,
FEELING that this possibility is unfair, and that as such we should not remove the quorum completely,
HOPING, however, that a solution can be found to the quorum problem,
UNDERSTANDING that the current quorum is half the delegates of the Assembly,

The Allied Assembly agrees:
  1. The quorum shall immediately be lowered to one-quarter of the delegates.
  2. The Chancellor shall have the ability to raise or lower the quorum to solve this problem in the future.
  3. The Chancellor shall not have the ability to exercise the powers of clause 2 to manipulate voting results.

Asuman looks annoyed at the comment
"Do you have a problem Marrianne? The quiet wind is always better than the loud voice."

Marianne: "Oh, please. Perhaps your proverb is right, but it is still disconcerting. Regardless, though, would you mind stating your view on the current resolution?"
The Leveat that can be spoken of is not the true Leveat,
but it is a pretty close alternative, in any case. You can talk about it if you want.

DeWitt returned her gaze to the rest of the quorum as she received a reply from Daramonty city.
She quickly took a look over the latest proposal and gave a nod of approval to Marianne, "Tarazed will vote in favour of this resolution..."

Looking at the response from the Executive Council back in the Confederacy Dmitri Polkan smirked as he announced "The Confederacy of Independent States of Tula agrees to this resolution and will support it if it comes to voting procedure...however I wonder if we'll be able to gather the needed quorum this time or if the other delegates' nations will continue to be slow to the response."

Having quickly gone over the history of the council, the Triparlementary Republic of Trikonderosa wishes to express its support for this measure and hopes that the quorum issue can be resolved.

The Northern Great Plains support this resolution as we were upset that we couldn't make quorum for the last measure, which was very well written.

Note to Kaskadistan: The Assembly prefers the term "autocracy" over "dictatorship".

Hip hip hurrah for bureaucracy!

Given your support of people voting and making decisions, I take it you don't mind me marking your vote on the current proposal as a yes?

For background, someone's decision didn't get through since there weren't enough votes... so I did this.

This shouts Gunter, unsure of what else to say.

Green light. Welcome to the Assembly! Please take your seat and explain why on earth such a union is a good idea.

Marianne looked around and sighed. Always the only one in here, she thought. She then returned to her stacks and stacks of paperwork...
