The president stood up, smiling. "I believe it is time to begin."

He tapped on a glass filled with water. "I, Joseph Woods, open this meeting formally at 4:26 PM. I thank you all for coming today to this meeting. As you know, you were invited here as a new face in Sunalaya rises. We must make sure our nations do not get left behind. We must watch for each other and hurt evil influences on our region."

After a slight pause, he continued. "We shall first begin talking about a potential economic treaty that our nations will abide to."

David Baha stood up proudly. "Thank you for inviting me. Yes, we do have much to discuss. I believe an important current matter is the fact that our certain nations do not trade much, which would be harmful if we create any type of treaty."

"Gracias," replied Juan. He walked back off to his chair, listening to the meeting.

Juan nodded in agreement with President Baha. "Yes. For example, we have relatively few trading partners here. We wish to change that for everyone. But we must have rules encouraging trade, no?"

The Fuhrer also agreed with the President.

OOC: Not exactly a whole lot to say on the matter.

Julie nodded her head. "First off, thanks for inviting me... Uh... Yeah. So, I believe that more trade holds a better future. For all of us, actually," Julie said, her hand moving around the room.

David Baha continued. "We should set a percentage that we trade with others participating in this alliance, if you will. Perhaps at least 5% of all trade must be conducted with members of this alliance?" he asked, pondering about the possibilities.

President Juan Santos disagreed in the most polite way possible. "I'm sorry, president Baha, but that seems too small. Countries like mine need trade from reliable allies. And as a growing but rouge influence grows in Sunalaya, we must confront it by working together. I say at least 20% of all trade must be with our members. In order to promote economic activity."

President Malaqí-Yasmar Sahadí stood up. "I would have agree with Mr. Santos. We would have a strong economic basis for our alliance and we would be able fight off the negative influences growing Sunalaya."

Carpaij stood up and talked: "Instead of forcing our companies to buy goods from certain countries, can't we just encourage them to buy goods from one of the nations here? For example we could make it so that you don't have to pay import taxes for goods imported from any of the countries here. The lower prices will encourage our businesses to trade with one of the nations here instead of buying it from an other nation, who has no free trade. Just give them the option, you'll see that if we do this not 20 percent will be traded, but maybe even 50 percent." He sat down, and added something: "Instead of forcing them we could give them a beneficial reason to trade with other nations."

Julie wrote notes down with blitz. "Uh... I agree with Mr. Malaqi-Yasmar Sahadi. Yaramaqui and Vekalse have always been crucial allies, but with the significant cultural change, trading is not as large as we hoped. Several Trade Treaties have been signed, but it simply isn't enough. This is why I agree with President Santos."

"That is still too much and forces our companies to work with others. Which is not good. Like what Mr. Woods and Mr. Carpaij said. We should encourage companies to trade, not force them. And if we do have to force them, which would be bad, the maximum should be 5%."

Mr. Sahadí began think for a moment. "It sounds like an interesting idea. The notion of this agreement between our nations being unfair seems ridiculous but it could happen. However, the safest thing we could do would be the suggestion of Mr. Carpaij. The encouragement of our companies to work with others will help all of us to reach closer to a form of economic prosperity. If our companies are forced to work with others that could give a bad impression on ourselves and the other nations. Mr. Baha is right in this case."

Dronden, Smoya

Vice President Jacob Cárroll had finally arrived at the airport at Dronden, Smoya in a private jet. Once the jet had landed on an airfield, the Vice President exited the vehicle along with 2 bodyguards. They were greeted by a limousine driver, who was sent to the airport by the Sunrisian Embassy in Dronden, to pick the Vice President up and take him to the place of the multi-national meeting.

The Smoyan

As the limousine had arrived at The Smoyan, the vehicle stopped near the gates. The driver awaited for somebody to exit the building and greet the arrival.

Carpaij was listening and putting his signature on empty pieces of paper, something he enjoyed doing during meetings. When Sahadí stopped talking he added: "Indeed, just like mister Sahadí said, it is not unfair. And if other countries find it unfair they should make a similar agreement, right?" He was silent for a moment, when he slammed his fist on the table. "Sorry for that, that's just what I like to do when I get a new idea." He noticed he had spilled water, he took a tissue and cleaned it up, whilst walking to the trash bin he started talking again: "I have a radical idea, but I think it will be beneficial to us. What if we were one single trade "body". Let me explain; if Smoya has a trade agreement with... let's say Rodrania we all automatically have a trade agreement with Rodrania. This might help to stop competition between us, and will unify us. And as we all know, when you're unified you're much stronger!" He sat back down again and against started talking: "I know it's radical, but it might work, we should consider this."

Julie nodded, but disagreed. "I don't like that. We shouldn't be forced into that; if we don't want trade, we won't have trade. Well, that's my opinion."

The Smoyan

As the limousine had arrived at The Smoyan, the vehicle stopped near the gates. The driver awaited for somebody to exit the building and greet the arrival.

Outside The Smoyan

Secret Security Agents opened up the large, metallic gates. Outside from the mansion came to agents, dressed in black wearing black glasses. They offered to shake the Vice President's hand. "Welcome to The Smoyan. I believe the meeting is has begun. I will escort you there now." one of the taller agents said, looking directly at the Vice President.

Inside The Smoyan

President Woods spoke up. "That is only fair. But I assure you, President Santos, that we will assist you as much as possible. Like we always have."

Then he replied to Carpaij's idea. "It sounds interesting, but that would force nations to do things they may not wish. Kind of how we are trying to avoid forcing nations here to set a limit to trade with each other."

(On mobile, I apoligize for thr bad formatting) The Nanovian Su-34 fighter-bomber approached and flew into Smoyan airspace. A two seated aircraft, it had been design to deliver high precision strikes with conventional and nuclear weapons. During the Cold War between Smoya and the Union of Nanovian Socialist Republics, Nanovian pilots had been trained to strike at key cities in Smoya as fast as possible. After the collapse of the old regime and the birth of the new Nanovian Federation, the new government earned a legacy for its military power. This Su-34 was unarmed. It's secondary weapon control seat had been converted into a normal passenger seat. In this seat sat Alexander Borishnikov, the Minister of Foreign Affairs. As the jet approached Droden's international airport, the pilot simulated a sudden bombing strike on the airport before the pilot broke radio silence and asked to land before the authorities would accidentally respond to it as an actual attack. Upon landing, Borishnikov took off his flight suit, reviewing his normal formal clothing underneath. Grabbing his stuff from another compartment, he walked out of the airport and into the city of Dronden. He checked his wrist watch. Crap he thought. I'm late.. He made his way toward the Smoyan.

Outside The Smoyan

Once the two agents came out of the mansion, the limousine driver stepped out of the car and approached the back doors of his vehicle to open them for the Vice President. The Vice President exited the limousine along with his two bodyguards, who felt as if they were looking into a mirror, once they saw the two agents awaiting them.

The Vice President had a huge smile on his face and was approaching the two agents as if they were close relatives, whom he had not seen for a long time. However, instead of hugging them, the Vice President knew that he had to stay formal and thus he was ready for only a handshake. “Greetings and thank you for the welcome. I must say that Dronden is truly a marvelous place. It seems as if it’s becoming more and more beautiful every time I come here.

Outside The Smoyan

The agents smiled. "Thank you, it truly is. Now if you'll follow us this way, sir, you will be at the meeting..."

As soon as he finished, a limousine carrying Borishnikov pulled up to the front. Two more guards opened the gates and waited for Borishnikov to enter.

Carpaij replied to president Woods and Julie "I think I created some confusion. It's not about forcing you to trade with the nation our entire organisation has a trade agreement with. It's there to give the cooperation's the option to do it. For example, if Lindenholt needed Rodranian goods, but Vekalse didn't than it is fine that Vekalse is not trading with Rodrania. But, when Vekalse does need goods from Rodrania they won't have to go through diplomatic hell to establish a trade agreement. And such a thing would be more beneficial to both sides than just two nations trading with each other. Think about it, Iackstorm and some other country trading, whilst Lindian businessmen try to improve the other nation's economy by creating jobs. All in one agreement. And all these people working for Lindian companies will mean that more of the product imported by Iackstorm will be produced, which will make prices go down and will eventually be beneficial for Iackstorm's consumers and the workers of the nation Iackstorm is trading with in this scenario."
