The Rules
1.Participating nations must be a member of Esquarium
2.All songs and artists are made up. Lyrics must be self written and can be based off a real song (whether just using the tune or mocking the lyrics)
3.You may not present your songs in the OOC Thread. However, if you want to do an RP of your national final (if you choose to hold one) you can present the full songs there if you wish. You may also hold a presentation show RP if you are just writing a single song.
4.If the number of participants is inferior or equal to 26, only one show will be organized. If it is superior to 26, semi-finals will be organized too.
5.In the case of 2 semi-finals, the host country will be automatically qualified for the Grand Final. 3 countries will be drawed to also be automatically qualified for the Grand Final.
6.There are always between 10 and 20 qualifiers in the semi-finals.
7.The voting system will be the same as the Eurovision: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10 and 12 points (The highest points being your favorite song).
8.Only one puppet per nation (master nations must confirm puppetry)
9.The winner of an edition will host the next one.For the 1st edition, you can submit an host bid !
10.When the host has posted the opening ceremony, participants may begin posting their songs. Songs must be numbered in the order of their posts (eg. the first song to be posted in the contest thread must be marked "#01" and so forth). Try not just to post your song, try put some RP values into it! For example, maybe post a picture of your artist, detail their outfit or explain what's happening on-stage!
11.Failure to post your song by the deadline is automatic disqualification from the current edition, however if you are away, post on the sign-ups thread the length of your abscence. The organizer will do what’s necessary.
12.In the Grand Final, once the performances have been posted or the deadline has passed, the voting begins. The host will begin the voting with a RP explanation of the rules among other things. The voting order is not subject to the performance order.
13.In the Grand Final, after all countries have voted or the deadline has passed, the winner will be announced and the winning song will be posted again for a reprise.
14.If you want, you can RP your national commentator's reactions to the performances and the voting!
