Joffrey Baratheon walked out onto the stage where Executive President Catherine Ashford was waiting for him. There were thousands of people out in the audience. The press box was closest to the stage and everyone was taking picture as the new President walked out onto the stage. Joffrey was in the center of the stage and turned to Executive President Catherine Ashford waiting for his instruction.

Ashford, dressed in her finest, stood and faced the newly elected leader. The crowds cheered for her, and for him.

"Mr. Baratheon, you now face before you, one of the biggest challenges you will ever endure. Your tenure in this office will determine if any union, so conceived with our principals, can endure the fire and the ashes, reinvent itself, and endure. It is for that reason we now go forward, that we are here so gathered. To swear you, in all solidarity and truth, into the office you have been so duly elected to. Thus, I ask you now, raise your right hand, and place the left on the flag of the union...."

Her words echoed through the plaza...

Joffrey smiled and placed his left hand on the flag of the union and raised his right hand. He could hear the crowd slowly start to quiet down and the found of cameras increase. He began worry that he might screw up.

Ashford winked slightly, it wasn't detectable from the cameras.

"Repeat after me; 'I, state your name, do solemnly swear, before this, the council of the union, as well as a our constituents so gathered, that I will faithfully uphold the office of President of the International Union, and thus pledge in utter solidarity and humility to serve the people in all things that I do, so help me.'"

He repeated 'I, Joffrey Baratheon, do solemnly swear, before this, the council of the union, as well as a our constituents so gathered, that I will faithfully uphold the office of President of the International Union, and thus pledge in utter solidarity and humility to serve the people in all things that I do, so help me.'"

Ashford smiled wide. "Then by the power invested in me by the people of the union and the council and Assembly, I do hereby certify you as the President of the International Union! Congratulations Mr. President, may you serve us well!"

She began to clap. as those sitting in the rectory where they were standing, stood and clapped, the entirety of the audience in the plaza stood and clapped, it rang in their ears. Over 200,000 pairs of hands clapping for him, the President...

"And now..." Ashford said, straining to be heard over the noise,

"The President will give his inaugural address."
