Military Dictatorship overthrown: Legitimate order restored in Creperia

This just in. It has officially been confirmed that the Sunrisian Defense Force (SDF), which has begun military operations in Creperia to remove the military junta from power a while ago, has been reported as having successfully completed the mission. After infiltrating the capital city Miraya, the Sunrisian forces launched an assault on the Creperian army positions stationed near the Presidential Palace, where General Lusenn Malān, the self-proclaimed Supreme Leader of Creperia, has been hiding. The assault ended up in Sunrisian favor, after which the troops had managed to successfully infiltrate the building itself in pursuit of Malān. A series of firefights had erupted, which concluded with the Sunrisian forces successfully killing General Malān, despite the commanders of the forces later revealing that the initial goal was only to capture the dictator. The forces later confirmed that the general was killed as part of the army’s self-defense as the junta leader was seemingly well-armed.

Currently, the entire nation is rejoicing as they country has been liberated once more. Innocent lives, rightful order and democracy have all been protected. It has been reported that prior to the successful infiltration of Miraya by the Sunrisian forces, the junta actually planned to move forward with its scheme to draft common civilians into the army to fight the Sunrisian Military, however, this “tactical plan” has not succeeded at all, thanks to the local armed resistance forces, the majority of which consisted of the former CNLF (Creperian National Liberation Front) opposition group from the Creperian-Sunrisian War, or the Liberation War. Reportedly, no civilians have been drafted.

At the moment, the people of Creperia are awaiting the arrival of President Nikk Korsān back to Creperia, as it has been reported that the country’s legitimate president has already begun his journey back to the homeland. We will keep you informed as events develop.

Another victory for our country. Today, it has been officially confirmed that the military objectives of the Sunrisian Defense Force (SDF) in Creperia have officially been met as the illegitimate junta government has been removed from power by our brave troops. Following the successful infiltration of Creperia’s capital city Miraya, our country’s forces launched an assault on the Presidential Palace of Creperia, which itself was later infiltrated. The operation concluded with the murder of the junta leader General Lusenn Malān, who coincidentally seemed to remain the last among the living junta members. The death of the military dictator was declared to be the official end to the junta rule in Creperia. Following the successful conclusion to the military objectives, the legitimate administration of President Nikk Korsān was informed that now was the right time to return to Creperia. Meanwhile, following another victory, President Edward Léker congratulated our soldiers, the people of Creperia, the people of our country, as well as the troops, the people and the government of Oblaren, a country which has as well contributed to this triumphant victory:

The heroic actions of Oblarenite troops allowed for Sunrisian troops to retake the Capital of Creperia. President Kristen Einzbeth has said this is a "joint victory" and is pleased that liberty has been restored to Creperia. There were fire works and beach celebration late into the night as the majority of Oblaren troops got to rest, AMAT special forces rounded up prisoners and turned them over to Sunrisian troops. However, although victory has been won Oblaren has requested the newly returned Creperian government to allow Oblaren to set up a military base in Creperia and station 500 to 1,500 troops to give Oblaren the ability to protect Creperia in the event of another uprising. Oblaren will leave if the Creperian President asks them to.

USJR Condemns Coup D'état In Dat Dong Lanh


8:28 PM JST Jamestown- In a recent press conference addressing several world events, from the Tsarists to new goverment programs the USJR has officially condemned the coup in Dat Dong Lanh and has called for the restoration of the former civilian goverment. President James Kerman officially gave out the condemnation, stating that the rise of the military is "unjust, un-proper and unfit" for such a country. The President has called upon the people of the country to rise up and support a "goverment of the worker," and has stated that he will seek to help any people who wish to "restore" proper rule in the country.

The announcement comes when the President is dealing with the situation in Rezua. In particular the search for the missing nuclear sub "Julia" which may pose a threat to the mainland USJR. The goverment has stated that it will use every resource to hunt down this submarine. Meanwhile the goverment has also quietly stated that it is beginning exploration of the north pole.

The ORA (Ophion Reconstruction Agency) opened in Veskalburg this weekend. With this formation, Vekalse has become the Ophion's life-line of infrastructure and army recruitment. With this, the Ophion is going to help rebuild and to heal demolished nations of the Ophion. This will effectively help revive economic prosperity from within the alliance, and to significantly raise human growth and development. During the early hours of the morning, a crowd gathered outside the building to celebrate the opening of the newly formed agency. However, not everyone from within the nation was happy with the new coming of this agency, which will prove to be Vekalse's latest mass achievement, as well as being the biggest government project in almost two decades, because of "the foreign intervention." The Ministry of Defense made official statements this morning concerning the rise of Iacki troops in Somelio and the Sunafrican region. The defense ministry has also refused to comment on what specific operations would happen . However, they announced that after the piracy issues in Somelio are gone, Iackstorm will look forward to investing in the Sunafrican region and work with potentially other nations such as Smoya to stabilize and develop the region.

In other news, President David Baha denounced the USJR's label of Iackstorm as part of the "Axis of Evil" and said he hopes for "sensible nations to not listen to random labeling of our nation by the USJR."

He also declared with the ministry of foreign affairs that nations falling under USJR influence should "protect themselves" from losing their national identity to the USJR.

Today, the entire Creperia is engaged in country-wide celebrations following the recent removal of military junta by the military of Sunrisia and the return of the legitimate elected government to power in Creperia. Although such celebrations had already taken place across Creperia relatively not that long ago, following the first liberation from a totalitarian regime following the Creperian-Sunrisian War, this time the rejoicing and the feeling of happiness is felt even greater among the nation and in the country’s atmosphere, as the people of Creperia feel like they are not only celebrating another liberation of their own country, but also the security of a safer Sunalaya as a whole.

Sunrisia Celebrates Another Victory: Country Begins The Withdrawal Of All Combat Forces From Creperia

With the Sunrisian Defense Force (SDF) successfully completing all of its military objectives in Creperia and achieving yet another triumphant victory, the governments of President Edward Léker and President Nikk Korsān have both agreed that our country would begin the withdrawal of all combat forces from Creperia. Although the government of the neighboring country has stated that there is no pressure or a deadline for when must Sunrisia complete the withdrawal of troops, the administration of President Léker has promised that the process would already begin today and should commence in a couple of months.

The only Sunrisian soldiers remaining in Creperia would only be the non-combat peacekeepers authorized to fulfill the ongoing UMIC (United Mission in Creperia) relief operation, which itself has already been confirmed as being in its final stages. However, additional peacekeeper troops from Sunrisia were requested by the government of Creperia to assist the civilians evacuated during the recent military intervention, to return to their homes.

As the Sunrisian troops are packing and preparing to return home, the nation is rejoicing and celebrating another wide-range achievement by our country.

Orange and black ensign adopted as the new national flag

Creperia changes national flag for a second and most likely the final time as the new ensign has officially been adopted as a symbol of the country’s cleansing of totalitarian darkness and rise to the light of democracy

Today, the administration of President Nikk Korsān has announced that the orange and black ensign, the flag which was raised in the city square in the capital city Miraya following the removal of military junta and the declaration of the restoration of democracy in Creperia, has been approved by the government as the official new national flag of the Democratic Republic of Creperia.

Although our country has changed its national flag relatively recently following the reformation of the country from a dictatorship into democracy, President Nikk Korsān and other representatives of the current government have stated that the green ensign could no longer be the symbol of this country as the toppled military junta has used this flag as its own heraldic sign during the military’s short reign. In addition, it has also been confirmed that the green ensign was never meant to remain the official national flag of the Democratic Republic of Creperia and was only meant to be a temporary replacement for the previous one, before an official flag could be adopted. The green ensign was made the new national flag by the Creperian Transitional Council (CTC), the transitional government of Creperia, which has itself at the time emphasized that the green ensign was supposed to symbolize the country’s transition into the “new light”.

The new orange and black ensign would be the symbolic representation of dawn or the mythology of a flaming Phoenix rising from the ashes, the two metaphors which themselves would represent Creperia’s rise from darkness into the light as our country moves on from totalitarianism towards democracy and freedom. The new flag has officially been approved as the national flag of the Democratic Republic of Creperia by the parliament this morning.

Mokalov insurgency continues
Experts worried about recent increase of MRF activity around areas outside Mokalov

After decades of internal fighting the Mokalov Insurgency war continues even after several propositions from the government for a ceasefire. The war's beginning can be tracked back to the year 1960 when the first Mokalov Revolutionary Army appeared as a political party and started to conduct bombings around the Rodranian Mainland.

It is now, after over 50 years of fighting that the MRF was started to be sighted around Lakelon, Jesuar and even Eston. Even when the government denies any possibility of this causing any civilian casualties the 100,000 innocent lives lost trough this useless war will never be forgotten, and the people are starting to get worried about all the fighting occurring in Mokalov.

Experts say that the recent sighting of MRF forces on the borders of Lakelon, Jesuar and Eston might be the result of underground groups allying or at least cooperating with the Mokalov Resistance for a common goal. The Rodranian peacekeeping forces have been dispatched towards the areas where the MRF was sighted and they are currently patrolling farmlands and other rural areas for any suspicious activity. Meanwhile, the guerilla war is still happening inside the Mokalovian forests where the MRF's main headquarters are supposedly located.

The total death-toll from the MRF side is unknown but it's estimated to be over two million "freedom-fighters" since to beginning of the war. The Rodranian Army refuses to release the total death-toll of the army to the public due the possibility of "Mokalovian Terrorists using this to their advantage with propaganda and other ways of psychological warfare". This makes us reach the conclusion that the Rodranian Army suffered and is suffering heavy casualties during the war.

Economic Analysts declared today that Aznazia has officially over taken the economy of Rhodevus. After studying the numbers over the past few quarters officials from Crawford City University (CCU) and Warrick University (WU) have said that "it is quiet clear that the Aznazian economy has surpassed the Rhodeve economy and will continue to grow in the years to come". Since 2000 Analysts have predicted that Aznazia would over take Rhodevus but the exact time was always debated. The main event that allowed the Aznazian economy to close the gap as quickly as it did was the financial crisis of 2008 that took a heavy toll on the Rhodeve economy and Chancellor Livington's revisal of trade policy with the USJR. I sat dow with Jordan Grahm, a economic analyst from Crawford City University and the author of the original report showing that Aznazia had over taken Rhodevus a few months ago. He said that "This has been coming for about a decade. Even if the financial crisis had not hit, Aznazia would have over taken Rhodevus this decade. The main cause of this shift was mainly the end of the Cold War and the collapse of Ophion which caused Aznazia to export to more nations and grow it's market. In the past few years we have been investing heavily in automated production, clean energy and a new infrastructure which has drastically accelerated growth and increased trade. Chancellor Livington can also be thanked, the bans he lifted against former Ophion States has opened more markets in the USJR to Aznazian products."

USJR Moves to Stimulate Economic Growth

Jamestown 6:30 PM JST Socks rallied after the Aznazian economic report that stated that the USJR economy was the second largest in the world, dwarfing the next largest economy by three times its value. The report also highlighted a more alarming trend in the economy: lack of growth in the recent years. The report indicates that since 2010 the USJR economy has decreased in growth. Despite this the GDP of the country has been growing yearly for the past decade at a steady rate. As a result the USJR Ministry of Internal Affairs is reviewing its trade and economic regulations of the country's manufacturing economy. The Public Minister of Internal Affairs has announced that the USJR will look to inflate the value of its currency after years of deflation. In recent months the value of the Jasoon has fallen from 1.98 NSD to 1.92 NSD, a fall that has helped spur on growth of exports and the tourist industry. The move will help reduce the cost of buying USJR goods and of spending foreign currency in the country. Regulations on new tourist resorts in the southern part of the country are expected to be reduced in the coming years.

As part of a new round of economic "stimuis" the Ministry of Defense announced that it is creating plans to update the USJR's military forces. Public details state that the program will be complete around 2023, with old ships either being refurbished or replaced with new technology. The Ministry has also announced that it will continue to spend more money on submarine, space and cyber technologies.

Public Power Corp., the public utility of the country, has also announced that it is selling Uranium-based nuclear technologies to the countries of Capsland and Eranshahir. The sale is reported to run into the future, with the company selling licences and the hard technology to the two countries in order to reduce their dependence of fossil fuels. It is unclear if the USJR will also help spur on the use of nuclear propulsion in outer space with the two countries.

President Marzio Gets Congress to Approve New Budget

DRONDEN -- Now that President Marzio is reelected, he comes with big changes. "I'm am going to do things I've never done - all for the better of Smoya," Marzio said in his acceptance speech last week. And now the changes are already coming into effect.

President Marzio and his Labor Congressmen managed to sway vital parties, such as the democrats and greens - and unlikely combo with the labors - to accept a new national budget, which increases spending over the next year greatly. Marzio's public speaker announced this morning, "We hope increased investing and spending will create new jobs in Smoya, and will benefit us and our allies in the long run."

Big changes come with his reelection. The new budget includes many hikes in spending, but also some cuts. Financial experts here at SNN believe that most of the new money that is needed for spending will come from extra funds which have been saved since the Great Rise in the 90s, a period which brought extreme wealth to Smoya and increased its economic power in the world.

The largest hikes come in defense spending and investment, which received a 200 billion monop increase in spending. Most of the money dedicated to the sector will go towards cyber offensive and defensive technologies, better military satellites, and an increase in funding for training and well being for Smoyan troops. A portion of that money is also expected to go to Smoyan military units in foreign nations, in order to protect the certain nations more and make sure deployed soldiers are in good conditions.

Areas like education and healthcare also received new spending. Mr. Marzio's new education plan is also expected to go into effect soon, which would increase teacher's pays, increase the general curriculum, and support nationwide bilingual education from 5th grade. Healthcare, on the other hand, is expected to gain a lot of more funding for the SNHS (Smoyan National Healthcare System) in order for "better treatment of citizens so that our healthcare systems reigns superior".

The last major increase in spending goes towards border patrol and worker's benefits, something Marzio said he would "dramatically improve". Increased border patrol spending (border agent's pays, border security equipment, etc) does not come as a surprise, as Marzio already pledged last year to make sure the ongoing undocumented citizens crisis ends soon. Also, the border patrol agencies are expected to spend a great deal of the increase in funding on drug detection in order to end the drug wars in Corentia.

The FIR (Federal Institute of Research) also unexpectedly received a minor increase of funds as well, most likely to continue to keep Smoya competitive with science and technology.

However, there have been some cuts as well. Although not major, environmental spending as been decreased, spending for some subsidized corporations have decreased, and foreign aid to better developed nations like Iackstorm have decreased.

The new budget is going to take effect June 1. It's effects will be obvious, as Smoya will definitely look forward to solve it's domestic and foreign problems differently. Marzio's speaker also announced this morning that Marzio said, "Things will not be the same - let us prepare ourselves for the better.".

SECURITY FORCES CRACKDOWN ON RISE PLAINS RIOTS

Riots have broken out across the Rise Plains. Paramilitary, military reserve, and police forces have been attempting to stop the chaos. The riots are being caused by supporters of Rise Plains independence over anger caused by the execution of Alistar Rogertson the Feville bomber. The Governor of the Rise Plains Tim Scott is expected to make a speech tomorrow urging the violence over the Rise Plains to stop. Due to reported threats of the Governor's life members of one of Trevcra's military special forces units, the Trevcran Commando Task Force has been deployed to the Plains.

HUANGU -- Huangu Island (formerly known as the Far West Island) has officially been rebuilt under government control, now that it has once again been annexed by the Imperial government. News comes from Huangu that the rice crop is thriving, and bringing in a great income to Tangzhou. With the new money from the rice crop, the Imperial government plans to modify spending for the upcoming fiscal year.

The rice crop has historically been a historic crop to Tangzhou, bringing in millions of revenue. However, due to poor soil on the mainland, the crop the Tangzhan people are most reliant on has been witnessing difficult days. However, with news of a surge in production of the important crop, Tangzhan people can focus on other agricultural production. However, all of this is good for the government.

With a huge income surging into the Tangzhan economy, thousands of jobs are expected to be created, bringing even more revenue. With all of this revenue, the Imperial government issued a declaration this morning declaring more money would go into defense spending, as well as industry, and welfare. However, some of the extra rice will go towards aid in the form of food for developing nations, a food program the Tangzhan government plans to start soon.

ATTEMPT ON GOVERNOR'S LIFE

At 11:01 AM in Greenstandon in the Rise Plains Governor Tim Scott arrived at the town square where the press conference was to take place. The Governor arrived in a convoy of military recon vehicles, guarded by special forces operators from the Trevcran Commando Task Force. As the Governor approached the podium a grenade was tossed at him. The operators grabbed the governor and rushed him into one of the vehicles in the convoy he arrived in. The vehicle spedd off while operators and police officers secured the area. Moments later a Trevcran Air Protection Force helicopter landed on the roof of a nearby building dropping off more special forces members. A second TAPF helicopter landed down the street from the town square. The Governor was reportedly seen boarding the helicopter. According to the Rise Plains provincial police the Governor is in a secure undisclosed location.

Zanera still condemns the imperialist actions of Trevcra after the country invaded and forcefully annexed the Rise Plains. After many actions committed by Rise Plains natives to show their extreme discontent, Zanera is still against the imperialist actions committed by Trevcra. Many Zanerians are against the nation of Trevcra, and all support for Trevcra after the POD-Trevcra shuttle launch incident has left the Zanerian populace. Many even say they expected more from Trevcra, not much less. The grand majority of Zanerians believe the imperialist actions were downright despicable, and 9% of the Zanerian populace say they would be willing to join a USA military taskforce to bring the nation of Trevcra into compliance with any recent USA resolutions. Many Zanerians hope Trevcra will give the land of the Rise Plains back to its native people after all of the natives' hardships.

Dissent Growing in Dat Dong Lanh

After the recent nationalist coup d'état in Dat Dong Lanh, it come as no surprise that many citizens are unhappy about the new regime, which is repealing democratic legislation and reforming the political system to create an effective stratocracy. Many citizens are now protesting, an act soon to be declared illegal, and several are now resorting to violent action to voice their dissent.

Phû Hânh, a sergeant of the Newley formed Dat Dong Lanh National Police and a support of the recent government was killed in action after authorising the use of tear gas on a protesting crowd for "obstructing non-participants". He was shot three times by an unknown perpetrator who evaded justice, two of shots of which hit him in back, one slamming into the officer's heart, killing him almost instantly. He has been posthumously given the Perseverance Medal Second-Class for his brave effort in blasting the perpetrator before being slain.

Although many military personnel mourn his death, many protest groups are beginning to become outright rebellions. One, the Dat Dong Lanh Liberation Group, has led the charge and become the supporters of government type now supported by many of the masses- communism. Raising a red flag in the streets, they are now leading a diplomatic and military effort against the nationalist government. The results have been counted in yesterday's elections and have revealed a hung parliament. This has resulted with the Conservatives to form a coalition government with United Capsland to get a majority in Parliament. The party needed 270 to form a majority all Capslandian Conservative government but failed to therefore they looked to the United Capsland seats to give them an extra push over the 270 seat requirement. The Capslandian Conservatives and United Capsland leaders have both elected the representative of North Corbourne, Rebecca Joye, as the new Prime Representative, replacing former PR Alexander Rubin. Mr. Rubin had this to say:
"Well it's a disappointing night for me and the Capsland Labour Party of course but I assure you, Labour isn't out of the picture yet. This coalition government has a lot to prove to the people of Capsland."

The new PR Rebecca Joye, also Capsland's first woman PR, had this to say:
"Well I am delighted to be the Prime Representative and also Capsland's first woman PR. This is a very exciting day not only for our Conservative citizens but also our women citizens finally being recognised as political figures."

There has already been controversy though. Hours after the election and the Conservative government announced that they will be repealing the previous anti-nuclear weapons policy put forward by Labour years ago. They also announced the expansion of nuclear power plants and loosening of Uranium imports into the country. Other things on the Conservative-United Capsland agenda are increasing the minimum wage, soldier's pay, foreign policy changes and new budgets for the 18 territories of Capsland.

President Noxsidera: "Together We Can Pave the Future for Mankind"

Earlier this morning, our esteemed leader, President Noxsidera, made an announcement representing The Society of Science and Technology with what he called "Great news for science." The announcement was given at 9:08 am on several television stations and was even broadcasted outside of Senkaria to nations who could receive our satellite signals, and letters were sent to the leaders of nations. The announcement was an invitation for outside nations to send their top scientists to The Society of Science, which has grown the reputation of being one of the most funded and advanced science programs in Sunalaya. Crowds were given a new sense of pride in our culture as the speech was given. An excerpt is as follows:

"I have met with The Committee and we have agreed on the goal that our great Utopia is given it's reputation from our dedication to the sciences, technologies, and mathematics. It is because of this that The Society of Science was founded in 1945 by our former leader President Daemone. It was his vision that changed our nation into the greatness it has become today. Today, The Society of Science is known for it's significant contributions to nearly every field including biochemistry, theoretical particle physics, astronomy, engineering, and stem cell research. Up until today the budget of such a facility was given 10 billion dollars which is a heavy budget, but is necessary. We have seen construction of The Particle Collider that spans 50 kilometers of tunnels to allows us to collide particles at top speeds and two years ago we observed what we believed to be The Higgs Boson Particle and made a huge contribution to science. Our program has shown amazing results and that is why I am making an announcement today. The Society of Science will be officially expanding. I have met with their Director and have approved a budget of 25 billion dollars a year for research in science, technology, mathematics, engineering, medical science, and other major programs of study. The increased budget is a result of the expansion of the members as well. For the past 60 years The Society of Science and Technology was limited to only the top scholars and scientists of Senkaria. Today I would like to announce the globalization of The Society of Science and Technology. Scientists and Scholars all over Sunalaya are now encouraged to send in their application and come to our international facility to study. All contributions and discoveries will be a team effort not by The Utopain Society of Senkaria, but The Society of Science and Technology which is now a neutral organization that has become a right to Scholars regardless of any military conflicts that would limit contribution in other nations. Science and Technology have made Sunalaya what it is today and it is my dream not to just advance the people of Senkaria, but the people of the world. This is just the first step in establishing a future of academic excellence and a vast amount of knowledge for mankind. Today is the day we band together under the same goal of advancement. Together we can pave the future for mankind. Thank you."

The announcement is sure to spark interests all over the globe and stir the hearts of scientists and increase affairs with the people of Sunalaya in way never before. President Noxsidera later stated that
"Since The Isolation Act of 1952 was disbanded it has opened up a world of possibilities that our people could never have dreamed of. Former President Daemone believed that isolation would give us the protection we needed as we formed our society, but ultimately he dreamed of a world filled with advancement not under a single flag, but under all of the flags of Sunalaya. It is an honor for me to give him the dream he had beyond his grave."

This is definitely a drastic step for Senkaria, so I decided to interview random citizens to get their input on the new announcement. A selection of responses are below:

"I am extremely excited to hear about this expansion of The SST (The Society of Science and Technology) because it will finally show even more results than it already has."

"The SST has proven to be the greatest program Senkaria has ever had and it is fantastic news."

"The thing that makes Senkaria different than most nation is our new responsibility we feel towards mankind. We disappeared, figuratively, for 63 years as wars were fought and we focused on ourselves. I don't think we regret it, but our nation is where we want it, and it's our time to make a global contribution."

Another important part of the announcement was the increases in taxes in order to pay for the 5 billion budget increase. Some money will be pulled from other programs, but most of it will be payed by citizens. I caught up with some workers to quickly get their opinion as they headed to work.

"I'm a bit disappointed in the tax increase, but I'm glad it is going to something like The SST instead of military expansions or worse programs."

"The thing that is great about our nation is that personal wealth doesn't mean that much as it does in other nations. Instead of giving the money to citizens to buy their necessities the Government pays for high quality for us. As long as we get food, healthcare, housing, internet, education, and other necessities I don't care how much tax I pay. I just care where it goes and right now I'm glad to see where it is going."

Battle of Crunko over

After weeks of fighting between the People's military and the United Freedom Federation, the formerly rebel held city of Crunko has been liberate by the People's military. With the help of soldiers from the United Soviet Jason Republic the rebels were pushed out of the city into the surrounding country side. The People's military is hunting down UFF forces which still have control over most of the northern sea board.

New Budget Begins New Fiscal Year in Senkaria

Yesterday Evening, the Council of The Utopian Society of Senkaria released the new 2015-2016 Fiscal Year budget for spending. Not many changes were made, but some significant changes were the increase in Science and Technology, Senka Medical Insurance, education, and some cuts into Military spending. The military cuts were expected due to the recent involvement with The United Soviet Jason Republic and the involvement with The Ophion Alliance. Below is the official release of the new budget.
