Nationstates E3 (ooc/reference thread)

Postby United Gordonopia » Wed Nov 18, 2009 10:16 pm

So I brought up this idea several months ago, but after I went on vacation, it kind of... died. The original idea came from Third Spanish States and an RP I did with him based on this awhile ago. In fact, it was that original NS E3 that inspired my Gordonopian Enterprises storefront. As my console has already been released, it won't need to be showcased. Instead, I will have a game. There will be several two things to sign up for, booths and speaking spots, and you will have to fill out a form for each console and game you will showcase. The forms for each, the timeline of events, the list of those who have signed up, and my own forms are below. Any company may sign up for a booth, but I'd prefer it if the companies that sign up for speaking spots already have some sort of storefront going (two examples are me and ViZion). If you want to sign up a console or game, please sign up for a booth as well.

My own forms:

Orion: Revival

Nation: United Gordonopia
Developer: GG Studio 7
Publisher: Gordonopian Games
Platform(s): Cronos Elite
Genre: Stealth action
Release Date: December 5
Summary: This revival of the legendary Orion trilogy from the GMEGA and Cronos game consoles blends new and old elements into a masterpiece of a game. From what previews have shown, Orion: Revival may turn out to be one of the best games of the Cronos Elite. The game centers around the lone S.P.A.R.T.A.N. Captain Corum Orion from Gordonopia. In an alternate universe, where there are three powers competing for dominance on the Gordonopian continent (Gordonopia, Kjeldor, and Deska), Orion is a legendary figure. Between 2014 and 2019 (the timespan of the original three games), the Captain terminated the Deskan leader, discovered an imminent Kjeldoran invasion, acquired the specs for several military advancements, and more. Unfortunately, his biggest mission was also his last. In January of 2019, the Gordonopian Prime Minister was captured by a Deskan special forces team, and taken back to Deska. Orion infiltrated the nation and the building where the hostage was held. After rescuing the PM, and getting him safely on the way back to Gordonopia, Orion was shot in the back of the head by a Deskan sniper, the lone survivor of the special forces unit.
Now, 12 years later, it is 2031, and using new technology, Orion is brought back to life. But it isn't his government that brings him back. A Gordonopian resistance group awakens him, and tells him the sad truth. Soon after his death, the PM was assassinated by one of his own guards, and the military set up a new totalitarian government. The last resistance is nearly crushed, and believes that Orion, a longstanding hero of the Republic, is their last hope.
The game will come with 3 more disks containing the original 3 games with updated graphics.

It won't physically take place over a day. It's called fluid timing, you don't have everything take place in the rl amount of time. Some rp's take days to cover a few hours icly. Others cover a couple months over a span of a few hours. And no need for IC/ooc in this thread, this is an ooc sign up.
If you ever have an RPing question, please TG me about it.

I meant the IC day two be more like 2-3 days like in the RL E3.

There will be no exact set date system. I'll probably give about a day to do basic booth things, and rping. Then the first person (me) will give a speech the next day. There will be more rping for a little bit, then the second speech can happen. Then more rping, then the third speech and so one. It will likely take place over a little more then a week.
If, as I said earlier, this expands from just one E3, to a regular event, then a set time frame may eventually be introduced.
If you ever have an RPing question, please TG me about it.

Platform(s): Tigris Monolith/Obsidian, other consoles if enough support is given.
Genre: Tactical squad-based FPS
Release Date: January 2011 (release title for the Tigris Obsidian)
Summary: What starts as simple counter-terrorist missions threatens to become a global crisis as nuclear weapons are found to be used (and detonated at the end of the tutorial levels) by the terrorists responsible for hijacking a Hodoran shipyard (first of three tutorial levels; basic movement, aiming, combat), an oil refinery (second tutorial level; stealth movement and combat, hostage rescue), and a major electronics and telecommunications company's headquarters (Third tutorial level, Close Quarters Combat, explosive ordnance identification (There are three bombs, and the tutorial levels take place at approximately the same time)). The game features realisic portrayals of Hodoran weapons and typical low-cost, mass produced foreign assault rifles, as well as recreations of the Archipelago, which is brought to the brink of destruction by the terrorists. For the first half of the game after the tutorials, you will play as a Hodoran Marine securing off-shore facilities and ports from hostile forces, and for the second half, you switch between playing as a Hodoran Army special forces soldier conducting covert operations in enemy territory and continuing as the Marine and take part in an amphibious assault.

Design principle: 40% linear, 60% non-linear (After tutorial levels, players can choose their style of play via in-game actions, e.g, blowing a door off its hinges or cracking it open enough to deploy a flashbang, then knocking it down)

Don't you think people should have storefronts to come?

There aren't enough people with storefronts. Besides, you just barely made yours. Some people, like Beatus, don't have a storefront, but have a small amount of history with their console (he participated in the original E3 back on Jolt).

Both companies have been put on the booth list, and when I get on my main computer tomorrow, I'll add them to the map.

Also, would you like to give one of them a speaking spot? They'd both qualify, since they have storefronts up, but Sundance is pretty well established (plus, it has Nationstates: The Game, how can you go wrong with that?)

OOC: I was thinking about that, but do I need to be on for the RP or can I just go ahead and post the "speech"?

If you look a few posts above, you will see that over the week or so that this RP will take place over, booth rp's etc. will come first, then a speech, then more rp's at booths, then another speech, etc. If you want to make a speech, you only need write it, and post it when it's time.
