Today in Aelcrest, President Bradley Lister held a press conference. Journalists from across Moneylania were invited to attend.

President Lister: "People of Moneylania. Today I bring before you a message of great importance. Not importance to us as a region, but importance to the survival of the human race as a whole. We, as a human race of only several billion here on Earth, are incredibly vulnerable to any sort of major natural disaster, be it a meteor or supervolcano. That is why we must expand outwards to the stars. To this extent, the Federal Republic of Ironcastle has commited itself to return to the moon within three years, and to establish a colony on Mars within the decade. If you will, please welcome the head of the Ironcastle National Space Administration, Brian Heppenheimer...."

John Sierra: What's your take on Ironcastle's plans for colonising the moon and Mars?

George Battuta: It's very worrisome.

John: Sir?

George: Think about it, Ironcastle would have access to virtually unlimited amounts of resources, their industrial capacity would be unmatched, and no nation would dare oppose them.

John: Are you sure it's not just for scientific advancement?

George: This is Ironcastle we're talking about. Yes, it is for science, science that will benefit their military greatly.

John: I don't see how-

George: Which is why we need to beat them to it.

John: That would be a great idea, if we had the money. Sending that many people to mars, or even just the moon would be nearly impossible, and even if we managed it, there is no way we could afford to keep supplying them with food, water and oxygen.

George: Which is why we don't use people. We've already sent a robot to Mars, so why don't we make better ones, and send a whole bunch to the moon?

John: That... Might work. But it would require increased science spending...

George: And I will allocate it.

John: But where will you get the money from?

George: You will see in due time.

John: Oh well, not my problem to worry about. I'll inform our engineers right away.

Pres. DetWhiller: Hello, government leaders of the Youthsville Pact, ministers, military officials, and other government officials. Welcome to the 24th Youthsville Pact meeting. Today, we will be discussing a wide range of topics, consisting of the Islamic State Crisis in Lothi, Ironcastle attempts at a lunar colonistation, YP Forces in the Moneylanianic Sea and border protection to the East. Any questions before we begin?

There is a brief silence

Pres. DetWhiller: Ok, let's begin.

DetWhiller waves his hand over a blue panel, the room goes dark, and the meeting commences. A map of Lothi emerges from the center. It shows rebel controlled areas, troop placement and major civilian centers

Pres. DetWhiller: Ok, so as you know, this is a map of the Lothi Emirate, which is a dreadful civil war with the LJPA Islamic State and the Lothinese Armed Forces. The combined forces of the YP, IF and BFSCM are currently in the middle of this fight. I believe, as an allied force against the Rebels is needed. A Coalition of forces from the East and West. It would be easier to organise all the forces under one administraition. However, this is not for us to deside. Next time I got to a meeting with Bradley Lister, which should be in a couple of days, I will bring this up. Next topic.

DetWhiller waves his hand over the panel again, changing the holographic image in the middle. It changes to a rocket with the Ironian flag on the side. The image is split by a line. On the other side, there is a rocket with the Banana Federation flag on it.

Pres. DetWhiller: Now, as you all know, Ironcastle made a very bold statement that they will colonise Mars is a matter of 10 years. Now, we believe that the Banana Federation is conducting their own operation to colonise Mars with their own citizens.

The image in the center is split with another picture. This time, a rocket with the Sibarian and Damanian flags on it.

Pres. DetWhiller: Now, we believe we should conduct our own operations in colonising Mars, and establish ourselves as a space fairing nation. Instead of conducting 2 missions, one to the moon, and one to Mars, we shall only focus on Mars. It will save us money and time. Who is with me on this one?

One by one, each person in the room presses either a green or red button next to their personal display board. The room is illuminated with green, signaling the majority of the personel agree.

Pres. DetWhiller: Ok, moving on to the YP Forces in the Moneylanianic Sea....

Scientist: ...However, if we went for a design more like this, then we could- Oh, you're here sir.

John Sierra: I have important news. We're postponing the colony portion of our program for a few weeks.

Scientist: What? Why?

John: Because we have a better idea. You know that refuelling station that we were about to send into orbit around Earth?

Scientist: Yes.

John: Well we're sending it to the moon now.

Scientist: May I ask why?

John: If the other countries are trying to colonise mars, they'll need to stop off as the moon to resupply. Now, my bet is that Ironcastle already has a refuelling station at the moon, but the YP will need one, and they can use ours!

Scientist: And how will this benefit us in any way?

John: For one, we will make them pay a small fee each time they use it, and two, we can use it ourselves when we do send ships to colonise the moon, and eventually Mars.

Scientist: And how do you plan on getting it to the moon?

John: We already have rockets that can get to the moon, so we send it up in parts, and assemble it in orbit around the moon.

Scientist: Okay, I guess we will get to specifics later. But we first need to get permission from the President.

John: I already did. So, let's get planning.

Dr. Heppenheimer: The lunar rocket should be ready by the end of the month. We've received confirmation from the lunar station that they are ready to commence Helium-3 mining equipment.

President Lister: Very good.

Although most people already knew their intentions, the Moneylania Council has today officially announced that it will be colonising the moon in the near future.

In a related topic the first section of the resupply station that will orbit the moon will be launched very soon. The project is being made possible due to the kind donations of: Banana Co, Tenebris Enterprises and Free Trade Incorporated.

Today, the Bronze lamprey is announcing that we will be colonising the moon. However, we will be colonising the opposite side, the dark side. this is so that we have a clear view into the space that lies beyond, and so that we don't intervene with any other nations plans.

Today, Platacia's election was concluded, and all votes have been counted. The Nationalist party won against the Liberal party. The first ever Platácian President is Regin Vikøren. He will rule together with Emporer Espodito.

His first announcement about plans for the nation, it included the statement: "After careful consideration, it has been realised that we alone cannot both extend our empire to the stars, as well as defend it here on Earth. We have offered to assist the Moneylania Council in their efforts to colonise the moon". He also stated that military spending will go up soon, as the nation has for some time had a considerable surplus.

The people of Free Wolf we have been hearing of the nations of Moneylania are in a race to the star, to colonise the moon and beyond but are response is not to follow them. Just like Own Ancestors we will go to the stone. We are already building own first city and soon we will build more cities and tunnels systems under all of Free Wolf, it not own destiny to go to the star but to the Earth!

Today disaster struck when our first test rocket was launched. After being in the air for 25 second the two right engines stoped working. the rocket quickly flew off side ways and crashed somewhere in the territories of Ironcastle. the problem was later proved to have been caused by a lack of fuel. the one responsible mistook 100ml for 100,000L. He was executed shortly after. King John Lamprey request that a recovery team may cross the Irconcastle boarders to recover the rocket. the operation will only take a day.
the recovery team will consist of:
-50 workers
-2 transport trucks
-25 S.A.S (Super Awesome Soldiers )(escort squad)

Today, the Youthsville Pact has announced it's intentions on colonising the red planet, Mars. Scientists have already come up with ideads for food production on Mars and other issuses. Food production will be hydroponic, eliminating the need for soil. Food production will happen indoor, lighted by LED's. Plans of the Youthsville One have already commenced. The predicted launch will be three years.
