is a famous Oncler singer. Oncler is a type of music famous in Zavlia and Kazalistan, and is linked with the people of the El Zhemishir, who, traditionally, lived in small villages until King Avvarashi II united the tribes into modern day Zavlia. Oncler is the music used in Ezrikhcorigorilav (Zavlian belly dance). Tarja is dressed in traditional Zavlian dress and is joined on stage by four female dancers.

The Zavlian postcard was displayed, as Tarja walked on stage in her starting position in the middle of the stage. The four dancers stood in the four points of the stage, so all five of them were in a cross formation. Tarja’s dress is red and has four long strips of ribbon attached at her waist and held at the other end by the dancers:

As the music started, the dancers began to dance, they are doing traditional Ezrikhcorigorilav:

Tarja remains in the middle of the stage singing, she dances on the spot using her loose arm. The four dancers weave a pattern in the ribbon similar to English maypole around Tarja. The backing dancers also sing the lines in italics.

Elza was excited. Months of preparations, stress and hard work would show here. She saw the other entries and she was a bit discouraged as many entries so far were more than excellent. But nevertheless, she was happy and would give her everything on the stage.

The stage was having all sorts of colours enlightning it. There were two chairs on the stage, on left and one on the right. Elza was on the left of the stage and a dancer was on the right. They were slowly crawling towards each other. Both of them had many colours on their bodies. Camera was showing Elza and then switched showing the excellent stage. Elza was singing well, just good for the song.
Looking back in time

And the laugh
Hidden now
Souls are poisened
This is hell now
But who are we to question God?


As they got to each other, they rose up and started to dance slowly. But as the refrain started, their dance was becoming faster. They were dancing very artisticly while Elza was, at the same time, singing.

Elza and the dancer continued to dance and their dance was beautiful. The dance was quite demanding as they tossed each other in the air, jumped over each other and other things which made this artistic dance unique.

The dancing couple now laid onto the stage and camera was showing on them. Elza was singing well and very passionately. Then they got to their feet again and continued with their artistic dance.

They were still dancing and it was becoming rather agressive. The couple were expressing their feelings strongly. They were pushing each other but then again hugged. It was all part of the art. Camera was showing the audience for a second and then switched to show Elza's and dancer's faces.

Elza was singing strongly now and dancing with her partner. She was singing and dancing excellent. As the song was coming to an end, they suddenly stopped dancing, ran to the two chairs on left and right of the stage and powerfully thew them in the air. It was the climax of their art and the song ended.

Natalia: I like it, it's catchy and has all the things you need to succeed, a strong contender in my eyes
Nadezhda: So far we've seen some good quality songs this year and this is one of them. I like it very much.
Natalia: And I think the bare chested men will score a few points too, they certainly know how to add show value
Nadezhda: But the exposing of her breasts is taking it a bit too far, this is still a family show and I don't know why in the last couple of years we've seen so many acts of sexual nature. Natalia: Wow! what a voice.

Wyndell: Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome back to our live coverage of the Worldvision Song Contest, happening LIVE in Polkopia! With us tonight are our judges, Dana Simmons! of Syrche; Ric Lakardt, of Lithany; Rici Sentasi from the Dåtsche Republic; and Madem Palorvikk of Kræder Providanz. Please remember that to vote for your favourite act, just dial the number which will appear on your screen throughout the broadcast, and simply add the extension specific to the act you're supporting. If you've missed one of the previous performances, there will be a quick review at the end of the show. Now we head straight back into it, with Vampirum's performance...

Dana Simmons: Very elegantly performed.
Ric Lakardt: I think this is one of the best we've seen tonight
Rici Sentasi: They could have done a lot more with this song, in terms of production, and it would probably have taken away from the final product. They definitely got this one right!
Madem Palorvikk: Such a simple song. i think it's a testament that all you really need is a piano and a great voice, or two in this case.

Dana Simmons: It's wonderful to see Ludatsa finally opening up to the world.
Ric Lakardt: Couldn't take my eyes off of her.

Dana Simmons: The Ambiance! As you know, in Syrche we don't have Flight of any kind, so this may be more up Ric's ally?
Ric Lakardt: We don't have anything like that, but it was a spectacular performance.
Rici Sentasi: This is why we made psychotropic drugs illegal in the Dåtsche Republic. It's like taking Ice Cream scoops out of your brain. Look what it's done to this young man...

Madem Palorvikk: The craftsmanship on this song...it's so...appalling...
Dana Simmons: i can not believe that they would think this is acceptable to present on an international stage.
Rici Sentasi: Is this the current state of music around the world? Try and tell me it's not EASY to make middle of the road in this contest. So long as your song doesn't include lyrics about bodily functions, there is no disaster in the world that could put you in last place, so far as i see.

Rici Sentasi: WOW! Now that is what i'm talking about!
Ric Lakardt: You know, they could put this on the stereo right now, and it would go straight to number one.
Madem Palorvikk: I'd have to agree with that.
Dana Simmons: The light show was quite good as well, i loved the atmosphere.
Rici Sentasi: There is a certain performance level that we've come to expect from Worldvision, and thankfully, after this last string of performances, i've seen something that instills a new faith in this competition. Good on you, Polkopia!

Syrche Performs


Dana Simmons: This came from my home country?! Today, I am a proud man. I think this is the best entry Syrche has seen to date.
Ric Lakardt: The Dancing, the stunts...the VOICE!
Rici Sentasi: Yes, but what is she trying to say?
Madem Palorvikk: Rici, a man like you will NEVER understand lyrics like that...
Rici Sentasi: No, i understood perfectly what she was singing... i just feel it's all a bit over-dramatized...
Madem Palorvikk: This song will resonate on a global level because the world knows that this is NOT a dramatization...

Fusha Me-Bar Performs


Ric Lakardt: It was kind of forgettable. I didn't dislike it, but i feel that this performance was more about the show and less about the song.
Dana Simmons: I resent that...(Faking a frown)
(Laughs from the audience)
Ric Lakardt: What can i say? it was very middle of the road for a Country having just been wrought with Revolution.
Madem Palorvikk: Perhaps it's just the time of day...but that didn't feel quite right to me either...
Rici Sentasi: No, you're right, i would like to have felt more of the...passion... that i would expect from a country emerging stronger than before...
Madem Palorvikk: It's not the worst thing we've heard, by far-
Dana Simmons: You know, we have a saying in Syrche, and i think it fits here..."It's fair from afar, but far from fair.."
(Laughter from the Audience; Rici Sentasi cracks a smile, as Ric Lakardt breaks out laughing, and Madem Palorvikk's poised face slowly morphs into a stifled smile)

Alexandra takes the WorldVision stage for the third time, but this time she is alone in representing her nation. The performance she plans to give may come as a shock to members of other nations, but it will certainly drive the point home that Eireann Fae is all about personal liberty, even in their youth. At sixteen, the sexy young mulatto with her silky skin the colour of rich caramel already knows exactly what she's made of, and how to flaunt it. Her bright hazel eyes sparkle in the light as she takes in the crowd, flashing a brilliant smile. Her raven-black hair, usually hanging straight, has been permed for the occasion, and falls down her back in a cascade of luxuriant waves and curls.

Unusual for her, Alexandra is wearing a rather conservative outfit, more befitting her photosensitive friend, Aibell d'Oiche. The girl is sporting a black fedora and matching button-down sweater, charcoal-grey satin gloves, and a matching full-length skirt that just barely shows her trademark Black Panther-hide combat boots. The only thing with her on the stage is the microphone on its stand. Bathed in a simple white spotlight, the girl grips the microphone, but leaves it secured to the stand as she addresses the audience.

"Boy are you in for a treat," she begins, smiling ever more broadly and winking at the crowd. "Recently, a friend of mine asked how she might go about finding a special friend. She knows I've got some experience, being the friendly type of person that I am, and of course I'm more than happy to give her advice. And because I'm just so damned friendly, I thought I'd share it with all of you as well! Hit it!"

As the music begins to play, the stage becomes awash with red, blue, and violet lights, moving about and giving the arena the feel of a nightclub or strip joint. Both hands on the mic stand, Alex closes her eyes and rocks out to the music. As the lyrics begin, she opens her eyes and casts her gaze upon various people in the audience she happens to find attractive, men and women alike.

You're asking how to make them shout
Well I won't tell no lies
I say to you be tough enough
To force the crowd to drool
It's time you come to realise

As the sample says "Oh!", Alexandra rocks her hips and rips open her sweater, revealing her usual black leather corset beneath. With a wink and a smile, she tosses the garment to the section of the crowd that cheered the loudest at her action. The girl laughs a little as no fewer than four members of the audience grab various parts of the sweater and begin a tug of war. Both hands back on the mic, she resumes catching the eye of various attractive audience members and begins the second verse.

As this small break begins, Alexandra drops the long charcoal-grey skirt to the floor, revealing a black leather miniskirt over fishnet stockings and her matching boots coming halfway to her knees. She hops to the side and, swaying about in time with the music, launches the skirt into the cheering crowd with the base of the microphone stand. Her dancing now is more aggressive, closing her eyes and gyrating her hips wildly to the loud electronic music. If one were familiar with such establishments, one might swear that she'd worked as a stripper, so perfect was her timing to the music both in dancing and taking off her clothes.

As she begins to sing the next part, a thick brass pole begins rising from the centre of the stage behind her. A minority of the crowd decide to cover their eyes at this point - some even leave the arena entirely in protest. The vast majority, though, seem to like where this is going.

Again timing her action with the sampled "Oh!", Alexandra spins on her heel and, back to the crowd, rips off her corset. She swings the garment over her head a couple of times before turning back around. She tosses the corset to the craziest part of the crowd as she grips the mic.

I'm so damn sexual!


Topless, the girl closes her eyes and waves her thick black hair about, gyrating in time to the music. Dozens of bills in all types of currency rain down upon the stage as the nearer members of the audience decide to thank her for her performance.

So very sexual...


The crowd erupts as Alexandra grips the hem of her tight leather miniskirt and, rotating her hips, pulls the garment down. She kicks the skirt into the crowd as she does a backflip onto the pole behind her, gripping the brass bar with her legs and hanging upside down. As the guitar solo goes on, she clings tightly to the pole with her knees and pulls herself up to a 'sitting' position. Reaching behind her to grab the pol with both hands, she briefly spreads her legs before bringing them together and flinging her body around the pole. She plants her feet firmly, coming to a rest right in front of the pole, facing the audience. Eyes closed, she starts rubbing against the pole with her back side, her left hand slowly going down her body as she reaches up with her right to caress the pole behind her as she might a lover's face. Just before her left hand makes it all the way down, she suddenly jumps forward and grips the microphone again to finish the song. The music stops abruptly as she sings the final line.

So very sexual!


Breathing hard, legs aching from working the pole, and covered in a thin sheen of sweat, Alexandra still seems to have quite thoroughly enjoyed herself. Clad now only in her boots, fishnet stockings, and satin gloves, the girl begins blowing kisses to the crowd. "Thank you!" she cries, smiling at the thunderous applause and raucous reaction to her raunchy performance. "You're too kind! I love you all! Goodnight!" She blows a final kiss and cartwheels backwards off the stage. As if by (hidden, Air Faerie) magick, the money tossed onto the stage follows the girl, funding future performances (and a new outfit).

Indeed, her surname means "of the night". Aibell cannot handle sunlight, and tends to wear full-length dresses, elbow-length gloves, and a hat with a rather wide brim.

Rustonian entry
22: The One Who Remains by Mustafa Akbalut
With this tune.


Mustafa Akbalut walked upon the stage, wearing a cheap cheap black suit he had bought only a few hours earlier. In his hand he held a tambourine. Stroking his thick, unkempt beard, the lights begin to grow dim and the shuffling of actors and props begins to grow into a rhythm in its own right. In a moment, all the lights come on at once. An ear shattering explosion is heard, blinding light exploding from the dozens of television screens as dozens of nuclear explosions are shown. Scorching winds explode from somewhere behind Mustafa, scattering harmless debris and ash outwards. The sudden display illuminates Mustafa, as well as the band of accordion players and violinists that had assembled.

As the lights begin to dim bathing the stage in an orange and yellow glow, Mustafa begins to sing.

Our world has met its demise,
As the sun began to rise.
That morning the bombs fell,
And unleashed a hell,
That left its sole survivor surprised.


A spotlight illuminates an area to the left of Mustafa, where a frightened and badly burned man turns from the winds behind the stage, running into what was made to look like a concrete bunker, shutting the heavy door on the crowd of desperate and similarly burned and dirty people. As their silent cries grow more in unison, Mustafa claps his hand to the tambourine once more, and a massive cloud of orange and yellow gas smoke and streamers envelop the mock crowd. Distant screams are heard moments before the cloud dissipates, revealing piles of charred corpses.

I am the one who remains,
Hidden from the glowing rains.
This bunker is my tomb,
And in this concrete room,
I can feel myself going insane.


The 'wall' of the bunker is silently removed by crew, revealing a decrepit, dirty old man with a long, thick beard and a bald head. He wears tattered robes and squats against a wall, carving another mark in an endless procession of them, indicating the time he had been down there. Yellowed photographs of people adorn the walls, rusted tins of food and drink littering the floor. In the corner upon a wooden table, a radio quietly hums its static. An unseen camera zooms in on the old man's face, blowing it up on the many television screens. His beard is unkempt and his eyes are bloodshot, face covered in dirt and grease. In an instant, the 'bunker' grows dark once more.

My soul longs to look at the sky,
But in the light, I would surely fry.
Summer shall never end,
So I will not pretend,
And in the cold darkness, I cry.


Dim, flickering lights illuminate the bunker, showing the old man solemnly rubbing a faded painting of the sky upon the wall. He presses his head against it, tears streaming from his eyes. The television screens cut to an image of the sky outside, glowing an angry, fiery orange, the sun a malignant presence. The image slowly gets bigger, revealing more and more of the horizon. Fires still rage, pillars of smoke rising into the sky. The bunker grows dark once more.

All I've known and loved is dead,
The static fills me with dread.
Naught corpses out there,
The thought brings me to despair,
And so I hunt, purging it from my head.


The old man is next shown sitting at the table, passionately fiddling with a rusted radio, the static masking his mutterings. The television screens continue to slowly pan out, revealing a totally obliterated landscape, burning ruins of cities and the land pockmarked with craters. Fields of corpses in various states can be made out in the streets betwixt the rubble. In the sky, faded images of a younger man in clean robes posing for a photograph with his wife and children are shown, only for the picture to burn up a few moments later. The lights cut out.

That moment seems so long ago,
I was fiddling with my radio.
Her words crackled in with a hiss,
My heart swelled with happiness,
And thus began the show.

This old man was foolish, I confess.
But it was love that clouded, I stress.
Need for her had taken root,
And so I crafted a suit,
That would let me pursue under duress.


The bunker lights erupt in a flash of light, now showing the man desperately working a radio as a message whose words cannot be heard come in. On the screen, a montage of the old man hammer, welding, and stringing wires together is shown. The lights cut out for a moment, and in the bunker the old man is revealed to be wearing a crude environmental suit, reminiscent of old diving suits. He wrenches the ancient bunker door with all his might, clouds of dust obscuring him completely as he does so. Just before it goes dark, the sound of creaking hinges and a bunker door slamming shut are heard.

My pack is filled with tools, water, and food,
And a gift, lest she think I am rude.
Her words on my mind, I made haste,
And ventured unto the waste,
Chaos, I did intrude.


Once more, winds from backstage exploded outwards, scattering dust and harmless ash outwards. The old man, lumbering forward in his heavy suit courtesy of a walking stick, is shown with a large rucksack on his back. He mutters to himself, a mysterious tin box clutched in his hand. He struggles to slog through smoldering debris and old corpses, most little more than ash, maimed skeletons, or naturally mummified bodies. The video screens show the ruined city from above, burning sun hanging high in the sky.

And so I hunt, purging it from my head.


Now the old man is shown in a different part of the ruined industrial landscape, standing atop some sort of rubble cliff and peering through a spyglass. The video screens show him atop the combined rubble of several buildings, the wreckage of a crashed plane just barely visible under his feet. In the distance, a massive radio tower can barely be made out upon the horizon, standing tall amongst the rubble.

My journey had long since begun,
Yet I fought on, under the bitter sun.
My body could not cope,
Yet I could not lose hope,
Until I had reached my finale and won.


The video screens closed in the old man's face as he finally spotted the tower, his solemn mask of depression and grief giving way to one of ecstatic, boyish happiness. Onstage, the old man brushed a hand in front of his face, clearing debris from knocking him over. He began slogging forward far faster and with much more energy than he had beforehand. As he neared the radio tower, the a distinctly feminine murmur began to slowly rise in the background, finally growing into a powerful crescendo as he reached the tower's base and began climbing a rusted ladder. Finally, he reached the radio room at the top, the stage going dark as he does so.

There was no girl waiting for me,
And yet I felt no misery.
With this journey, my sadness did cease,
And so, with my fate I made peace,
That recording was my destiny.


The video screens show the old man screaming in rage, tears streaming down his cheeks and soaking his beard. He kicked a part of the wall, crashing his foot through it and sending rubble tumbling through the air. He begins smashing the room up, throwing things through windows and against walls. When he turns to the command centre, he sees that a piece of debris had fallen from the ceiling and hit a button that played a recorded message calling for help on a loop. Next to the computer systems is a dusty skeleton in women's clothing, a rusted handgun nearby and a hole in the side of its head. A series of images flash across the screens, showing a distresses woman frantically speaking into a microphone, and after what appears to be weeks without answer, committing suicide.

The old man falls to his knees and weeps. He sobs and sobs uncontrollably, pounding his fist against the metal floor. Finally, he raises up, tear stained cheeks and bloodshot eyes contrasting with the smile upon his craggy face. The screens pan out onto the horizon, showing the sun rapidly setting upon a charred and dead landscape of rubble and desert. On the stage, the man emerges from the radio room onto a small platform, removing the rusted guard rails with ease. He falls to one knee and removes the small tin box from his pack, opening it and revealing it to be a music box. He attaches a little brass crank to the side and winds it up, watching the little ballerina dance around as the tune plays. The man stands up and approaches the edge of the balcony, removing his helmet and tossing it back next to the music box. The intense heat and winds already begin to take their toll on his face. Closing his eyes and smiling, the man raises his arms and falls forward. The stage goes dark.

A newborn star falls from the sky,
As a burning sun lays down to die.
Thus comes to end his final day,
As darkness envelopes his eternal grave.


The music stops, and Mustafa's voice rises to an operatic soprano, yet sung at what was barely above a whisper.

The video screens show a silhouette of the radio tower set against the sun, nearly complete set beyond the horizon. Darkness begins to fall, stars can be made out. Contrasting the newly dark sky, however, is something falling from the tower at high speeds, a burning streak not unlike a comet's tail following behind it. The object's descent appears slow, but just as the sun disappears over the horizon, it hits the ground with a tremendous force. The stage quakes and dirt and light debris spray out everywhere, clouds of dust enveloping the entirety of the stage as the song ends. The dust settles a minute afterward.

23. ZWANGZUG
SURRENDER, by SOOTH

Corey Jaghett, the lead singer of Sooth, begins in the center of the stage; a few instrumentalists are perched on a platform in the back, slanted so that they're a little higher than the main stage, with an empty space behind them higher still. Jaghett is wearing a dark, rather formal, suit with a crimson tie. The backing dancers wear bright white clothing instead. At first, the background screen is bright as well; it blurs their faces to a certain extent. At first, they are clustered close behind him, but one by one peal off as he sings the first verse.

Let me burn,
Round the corner I watch my friends all turn.
Like the rest
Who say they'd learn.
Ah, and yet
I'm afraid they'll know regret.
Haven't done their best.
There's no one true I've met.


Slowly, red curves dance across the screen, some thick, some thin. They come together and drifting apart like tiny rivers, or veins. The dancers also come together, until their shoulders are nearly touching, and crouch low so Jaghett, standing behind them, is still visible; he is just a little taller than them.

Everywhere
The only thing I follow's my heart.
Life is fair
But you have to play your part.
The time to sing
Is when you're up against a wall,
If you just bring
My heart in your hands, we can give our all.


Jaghett pokes his head between each pair of the dancers, but they lock hands, unyielding, and he moves down the row. Black specks pop up at random on the screen, and slowly the red lines fade, until it looks like it's been spray-painted.

What else can I do?
Surrender, surrender
Put my trust in you,
My heart was too tender,
Left me to my fate,
There's no time for whining
Nothing to create,
You'll find me resigning.


The backing dancers, as well as Jaghett, move quickly across the stage in every direction. His voice is projected loudly so he can still be heard, even for brief moments when his back is to the audience. Cameras project the shadows of all of the dancers onto the screen, and the shadows blur for a few moments after the dancers have left (sometimes overlapping even when two people are running in different directions) before slowly fading.

You can find
Though our many paths will wind
They all stop
And there you know you've lost your mind.
Come and see
You must stop running to be free.
It threw me too.
But then, you never cared for me.


Jaghett stops at the corner of the stage, in front of the audience. He mimes having trouble with his microphone, though of course he can be heard just fine. The dancers cup their hands around their mouths, as if to amplify mute voices, slowly spreading out until they could just about form a line with hands touching. Towards the end of the verse, Jaghett flips a metal coin out of his pocket. The dancers take turns kicking it down the row, until the last just kicks it off towards the edge of the stage.

Just another man
Surrender, surrender
Trust a higher plan,
Ignore legal tender,
I'm nobody great
Despite my designing
Easy now to state
It's better resigning.


The dancers curve out their hands and then wave them up and down to create a wave pattern--or a more violent one, like the ground trembling underneath them. The screen is dark gray, with white lines streaking across it at bizarre angles. Jaghett slowly crosses the stage behind them, pretending to stumble as he does so, and at last hurls himself towards a few steps at the edge of the platform in the back.

Just past noontide
The ground now shakes
I've been running
Away from all of these mistakes
And you never came back to explain things
You never said what was better
You don't need the main things
You don't stand together.


Jaghett climbs up to the empty space behind the band and kneels, his upper legs rising upright to support the rest of him. The dancers make a half-circle around the band, their backs to the audience, stomping their feet in place, as the screen slowly fades out.

Now I can be sure
Though hope is but slender,
Though my heart's impure,
Surrender, surrender.
Here outside the door,
Though hope is but slender,
Dream a little more,
Surrender, surrender.
I won't take your bait
I'm tired of pining,
But at any rate
A new day is shining,
Now beyond this mate,
Don't come to remind me.


"Many thanks, Polkopia, thank you to all the world!" Jaghett smiles, and they leave the stage.

The stage is illuminated with blue lights, while there is a tree in the centre (obviously not a real tree, but a realistic looking one). A latch opens up in the tree, which the duet walks out of. Asli Saribag and Michael Underwood. The audience applauds. Asli sits at the grand concert piano, while Michael sits on a nearby stool; acoustic guitar in hand. He starts picking and out comes the gentle noise of D Major. Asli starts playing on the piano, slowly. She sings in a high pitched voice.

Stood a tree
Look inside the tree
What do you see?


The lights focus on Michael while he sings the next verse in a slightly deep voice. You can also notice on the screen is a 2D image of a tree zooming on the songbird (which is apparently a Blue Jay).

I see a songbird
Singing chirps of joy

The songbird


The lights go back to Asli.

Awaiting the songbird’s songs are such a thrill

Both of them sing ''of happiness'' together. Next second, they get up and get on the piano and start dancing similar to the Waltz. Michael sings powerfully without any instruments (brackets means that Asli is singing).

Asli sings the next part quietly. While the piano and guitar noises decrease. On the screen you can see a lifeless landscape, with the tree turning to flakes.

Out of the tree flies out a Blue Jay and the leaves fall off. Michael sings the final part.

They both get up. And Michael surprises the audience; he actually smashes his guitar on the ground. He speaks into the microphone and says, ''That guitar was old anyway.'' He grins. Asli says, ''Thank you, world!'' And they leave the stage, while some crew clean the guitar bits.

We also have Yapper Stinkypaws as our roving reporter in the green room and I'm just receiving word that he's currently with the Zwangzug entrant, Corey Jaghett of Sooth. Over to you Yapper.

Yapper: Yo dudes! Having being given a spare fish by Flappy and his entourage, I'm ready to rock 'n' roll. Right now I'm here with Sooth's Corey Jaghett of Zwangzug. Corey, so, are you looking forward to performing in front of the crowd here in Peeto?
Corey: Yes, of course!
Yapper: Awesome. Looking forward to your song. Do you think you have a chance of a good result?
Corey: I've put a lot of work into this, but the voting can be so arbitrary that I don't want to get my hopes up.
Yapper: Sounds like a good mentality to adopt. We Lymrykers, we're just here for the fish. Do you like fish, by the way?
Corey: No
Yapper: Oh ... So what did you think of the Lymryk entry?
Corey: Mellow
Yapper: Yeah, I suppose it was sorta mellow. One final question, have any of the other acts impressed you thus far?
Corey: Personally, none particularly, but some of my backing singers have enjoyed the hosts' performance, as well as Fae Omega and Rustonia's.
Yapper: Fantastic. Thank you Corey for your time and now we're going straight to the stage for 'Harli, Harli' from Zavlia.

Aron: ... fantastic ... I kinda enjoyed it. 'Bouncy' as Yapper would probably say. Nice ethnic vibe with a contemporary pop feel. Good voice too.
Ulf: No electric guitars
Aron: No fish either, but I'm more interested in the music than these preset parameters you at Yapper have set yourselves.
Ulf: Chill dude. You wanted my opinion. That's what I'm here for.
Aron: Not really. You're actually here to keep a check on the mic levels for this broadcast.

Aron: Anyway, next up is 'Thrive', by Elza Arvik of Crolacia.

Ulf: Slightly raunchy, I like that. Shame the music was crap
Aron: Not at all. Raunchy, yes, a little. Nothing compared to some of the other acts. The music was decent however. I'm sure I heard a bass guitar.
Ulf: So ... Flappy's band used a tuba, I wouldn't call them a symphonic.
Aron: So, if you had to rate 'Thrive' out of ten?
Ulf: Two, for the aggressive, yet sexy dancing.
Aron: O ... K ... Ah! I'm just receiving word that Yapper is currently with Amély Rührer of Worszary. Yapper? You there?

Yapper: Hey guys. Reading you loud and clear. Amély, first question, the important one. Do you like fish?
Amély: Erm... well, fish... I'm a vegetarian, I don't eat meat but I do eat fish, although not very often. It's OK but not really my cup of tea actually, so to give an answer to your question: no!
Yapper: Oh ... that's disappointing. Anyway, moving on. Are you looking forward to performing tonight?
Amély: Of course I am! I am totally unheard of in my own country, Worszary, but I'm about to release my début album. I have never really performed live in a big venue like this, so well, of course I am. I am sure it is going to be a great experience.
Yapper: I'm sure you'll be fine. They seem like a nice crowd, just watch out for the Vixxians (whispered: they like frogs, weirdos) Anyway, yes, we're looking forward to hearing you perform. Do you think you have a good chance in the contest?
Amély: I really don't know... I can't believe I'm actually standing here, I'm just 17 year old, you know. I hope people like my song as much as I do!
Yapper: Cool, and finally, who have been your favourite performers of the evening so far?
Amély: To name a few.. Lisa Fellacina from Quinntopia is a great singer, Zafira from Kalosia has a sweet song, the entry from Kingsley Bedford is also very powerful... Daria Shulamit's a great performer... That are the best ones in my opinion, but hey, everybody's great, really.
Yapper: Amély, thank you for your time. Next on we have Sergei Aramov and Carla Rezantia with 'I Need you my Love' representing Kingsley Bedford and I'll try to catch them once they come off stage for a quick interview. Ladies and gentlemen and otters, 'I Need you my Love'.

Yapper: Everyone, I'm here with Sergei Aramov and Carla Rezantia and err ... Sergei, who is woman you have with you?
Sergei: This is my fiancee Yuliana Pashkchenko. She's a opposition politician in Kingsley Bedford and she used to be a singer before entering politics. She represented Kingsley Bedford alongside me in WV17 and we have been together for a couple of years now. We're getting married early next year and she's just here for support tonight.
Yapper: Well, it's certainly a WorldVision extravaganza tonight. Congratulations from the Lymryk Isles on your upcoming marriage. Anyway, to business, how do you think your performance went tonight?
Sergei: I think it went well, I think we gave the best perfornance we could. We've worked extremely hard for this performance and we're proud of what we've done and we hope that we've done Kingsley Bedford proud. Now we just sit back and enjoy the show and wait for the results.
Yapper: Well I enjoyed it and hopefully you'll receive a good result. There is some stiff competition though, have any of the other acts impressed you?
Sergei: So far I've been impressed by Communist Quinntopia and Polkopia's entries they were both great songs and the singers had great voices and I think are strong contenders in the contest.
Yapper: Carla? Your thoughts?
Carla: I'd have to agree, but I also liked Lactatia's melody but not the lyrics or the performance. I think there's too much sexual content in some of the entries this year. But the song itself is okay.
Yapper: Do you think you've a chance of winning?
Sergei: I'm very confident we will do well I think we have a great song and the audience seemed to really react well to our performance so that makes me confident we will do well. I hope we win, it would be nice for us. And I just am going to wait and see what happens and hope for the best. But I'm confident in our chances.
Carla: I don't want to speculate too much, but I hope we do win, I think we gave a strong enough performance and now its up to the voters at home to decide and I'd like to thank everyone who has shown us support so far and keep it up.... and please vote for us!
Yapper: Yes indeed. A quick note to our PLI viewers that voting will be open on our website once all the acts have performed. Finally, do you like fish?
Sergei: Um... excuse me? What does that have to do with the contest?
Carla: Why do you want to ask us that sort of question? Are you guys stoned or something?
Yapper: I'll take that as a 'no' then ... err ... Anyway, back to the studio ...

Aron: I think Kingsley Bedford have a good chance. I enjoyed the song very much indeed. Your thoughts Ulf?
Ulf: Was alright, I guess ...
Aron: Wow! That certainly is praise coming from you.
Ulf: Just had more balls to it than a lot of the other entries. It's not like I'd buy it as a single but yeah, it wasn't too bad. Three and a half out of ten.
Aron: Out of interest, what would you give Flappy's song?
Ulf: A half out of ten, as I'm feeling generous ...

Alex: I had fun, and I think most of the audience enjoyed it. I think we'll have to do something more family-friendly next year to make up for it, but I'm pretty satisfied. I hope you liked it!
Yapper: I loved it. Awesome song, great performance and It's got all the prudes up in arms as well, which is funny. So, do you like fish?
Alex: I like aquariums. I can't eat the stuff, though. Fish is popular on Eireann Fae, but I was raised on a different diet. I prefer Black Panther steaks.
Yapper: You just look at fish? That's a bit strange. Anyway, what do you think of your competition? Seen any other acts you like?
Alex: To be honest, I just barely made it here. See, I met this lady at the Strangers' Bar ... Well, that's a story for a different time.
Yapper: Haha. You go girl! Think you've got a chance at winning?
Alex: I don't know. I think I sent a helpful message to my sisteren out there, longing for love. A lot of people aren't comfortable with tits, though, so there's that.

Calimera has participated at many editions, and is very motivated to do so in the future too. Calimera still hasn't won the WorldVision Song Contest, and the Calimeran participant of this edition are trying to enter in the top 5. Therefore, the (new) Calimeran broadcaster: ''Corona'', has asked the famous Calimeran sanger Cristiano Zapatero-Ríos to perform tonight. Without any hesitation he accepted the invitation of the official broadcaster. Tonight, the 23 years old singer will perform a what he calls 'magical song' for the millions of people watching the contest at home and in Polkopia. When a interviewer asked Cristiano how he came to the idea of his song 'Cold Clouds', Cristiano answered: ''A song is a reflection of your soul, and this song represents me, how I feel everyday.''




The stage is coloured in two colours: Black and White. On the big screen the back, and the many little screens that form a big screen on the floor of the stage, clouds were shown. In the middle Cristiano was sitting, dressed in a classical suit.
The music began to play and Cristiano started singing:

Cristiano stood up, raised his hand in the sky he looked to his hand, and put his hand in his pocket, and walked to meters forwards, were 3 little yellow dots appeared on the screens. These 3 little yellow dots started moving gently on the screens.

On the screens at the back, hundreds of little yellow dots started to move 'through the clouds', Cristiano looked with fear to the sky and started singing again.

The yellow dots disappeared, and the stage returned to it's original Black and White colour scheme. Cristiano sat down again, and continued with singing in his gentle voice:

At the screens on the back it began raining. And it also began raining on the seat were Cristiano was sitting on. The water reflected the yellow dots that 'returned'. Cristiano continued singing like nothing happened:

The yellow dots at the back 'joined' into one big yellow dot, symbolizing the sun. When Cristiano left, after saying: 'I love you! Thank you!' the sun broke apart in thousands of little pieces..

This is the song Alambiya will be using in the Worldvision Song Contest 2013, it will be sang by Amélie de Vereah

The Maiden of Old Trinity by Herald Lionhead 1893

This is the story of a young Alambiyan girl living in the town of Trinity, who’s parents have both passed away. (She is believed to have been based on a real woman called Hetty Cartwright who lived during the Victorian period.)
It tells the tale of a young man named Michael Blunt who has been advised by his parents to marry this young woman, but she refused full heartedly, as she was in love with a man named Sir Gregory Hugh. This song was translated from Alambiyan in 1911 by Mathieu Lebras.


Amélie walks on to the stage in her designer 'KT' brand pink dress and her hair neatly held up with pink blossoms, the audience applaude her and she begins.

Chorus:
We don’t have to get together - - - just because our Parents said we have to get together - - - together - - - forever.

Verse 1:
I am but a young maiden roaming the streets of Trinity, selling goods I inherited from my late mother Felicity.
Michael Blunt forces me into courtship, when all I want is a basic friendship. His parents say I will be a good wife, when all I want to do is live a good life.

Amélie bows and says thankyou in Matanese (Bahu) into the microphone and retires from the stage. :bow:
