Overpopulation?

I was thinking about the population of the NS world...
Since so many countries have 1 billion + people and even more are in the 100 millions, there must be a total population of what? 500 billion or more? Scary...

Even Perrytopia has a population larger than the U.S.A, and that's not even close to the average nation size of some 800 million people :unsure:

What I find amazing is just how fast the populations grow~ My country was founded only last year ((though it seems amazing to me that I've been playing for even that long)) and I already have 2.211 billion people in my nation. Saying that though, given that NationStates has been around for much longer than my involvement, there must be so many more countries that have even more people. The world on NS much be either huge, or incredibly crowded.

Considering how many of them wind up entire planets or space empires...

Although, I just ignore that number. Dracoria's supposed to be an archipelago-nation of modest size rather than a China-sized power.

That's right. I prefer to consider the ns population as a suggestion, no a precise data. However I consider the score of ns divided by 100. It's realistical and quite appropiate: for RP and battles in particoular.

For Phoaeniae, we should progress to reach about 14/16 millions of residents, that's the wideness of this Country.
