Today, QEP Phoenigetuzstha's only Daci-Phoeni and national broadcaster has announced the national selection process for WorldVision 22. QEP have internally chosen 28 year old singer Sabina Zuphantis to represent Phoenigetuzstha in WorldVision 22, with a selection of 10 songs for Sabina to sing. She will be accompanie by a variety of featuring artists during her songs, which cannot be disclosed until the show.

Voting

The voting will be spli 60/40 in a ratio of Televotes and Juries. 4 international juries are allowed to sign up, which can be extended to 8 if need be (OOC: Apply through TG). Selected international juries will be invited if not all 4 jury spots are filled or 5 or more juries have signed up. Each jury will be allocated 100 points (50 if 8 juries are used) to which they can distribute between the 10 songs. Songs cannot be given a full 50 points, and at least 6 of the 10 songs must be given points by said jury.

The song placing first will go to WorldVision 22, while the song in second place will be put forward for World Hit Festival 9, under another artist, for another national final (or an internal selection if need be).

OOC: IC thread will be up later, as said, TG me if you want to be a jury member. You will be contacted by me via TG if not all jury spaces are filled.

The final was held on March 21, on the Harrikes Olympic Stadium, with an audience of 200,000 people. The stage used is similar to the one that will be used in WHF7, to be held in a near date. EUSK1 delivered a great show with 24 different acts that battled all out to achieve an spot on the final. As this is the final... It is illegal to provide full results of the voting, so all we can say until now is the acts that qualified, and those that withdrew (to present themselves at Euskal-Musika4), and the position of the non-qualifiers. The show was scheduled to be right before the Artsakhiani NF! Before those results were announced, the 24 acts performed and 5 invited acts performed as well (as an interval act):

INTERVAL ACT (FINAL)
Elissa Haira - Combustion
Juliana Vardell - Fú L'Historia del Vero
Vonok & Rafaela - Anda
Balbina Aurora & Mebarak - ¿Qué Cosa Diera?
Lina Arràm - En Putant

Here is the info that was provided by EUSK1:

The top 3 achieved the following points:
1st place --> 129 points
2nd place --> 126 points
3rd place --> 89 points

The acts that withdrew were:
Samira & Marko - "Kaosa" (Euskal, Aranese, Bantulu, Taloan) - 89 points (3rd)
Samira - "Hora" (Euskal, Sirbadian, Euskal Arabic, Hinga) - 46 points (6th)
Haritz - "Danses dell Aurero" (Aranese) - 67 points (4th)
Irina Asatryan - "Qélé" (Armenian) - 42 points (7th)

Samira decided to focus on just 2 of her 4 acts. If she hadn't withdrew any song, she would have performed 4 times on the Grand Final. Haritz decided to focus on his performance with Samira. Irina Asatryan said she received a request from AHH to represent Artsakhestan with "Qélé".

The acts that qualified were:
(Albertasby) Sam Pierson - "I Need You Now" (English)
(Euskirribakondara) Samira & Haritz - "Ixo Izan Es" (Euskal)
(Euskirribakondara) Donostia - "Utertakattajaarpoq" (Euskal, Aranese, Armenian, Greenlandic)
(Mediterra) Mala Ärlangga - "Non Vorès" (Lillamut, Aranese)
(Chenkorya) Devrim Guiness - "The Difficulties" (English)
(Phoenigetuzstha) Motza & Mitha - "Ihida Alba" (Euskal Arabic, English, Phoenigetuzsthan)
(Euskirribakondara) Hari Etsebaldián - "Yes Këlam" (Classical Armenian)
(Euskirribakondara) Samira & Jan Ardegorrián - "The Call" (Euskal, Lillamut, Armenian, Mikunan)
(Euskirribakondara) Ingerlaliinnaleqaagut - "Appakaappoq" (Greenlandic)
(Chenkorya) Chérie - "Death Is Out to Get You" (English, Chenkoryan)

That means the qualifiers were the top 14 minus the withdrawn entries.

The non-qualifiers were:
Jan Ardegorrián - "Stormu" - 22nd with 8 points
Ingerlaliinnaleqaagut - "Niggat" - 19th with 16 points
Sara Monkada - "Raíces del Aire" - 17th with 17 points
Gosha Vargulina & The Manifestival - "Join The Shadow" - 23rd with 5 points
Phillarmonic Sound - "Journey Through A Soul" - 16th with 18 points
Jarrett Dortovitx - "Lo Maspik" - 20th with 13 points
Cynthia Hebanova & Eli Jan - "Renaissance" - 24th with 5 points (LAST)
Anne Rénard - "L'Histoire de Notre Amour" - 21st with 9 points
Bandi Koltara - "O Gato" - 15th with 19 points
Ħaġi Maltadián - "Ramel Tal Mirakli" - 18th with 17 points

Important Upcoming Dates
Thu March 22 - Grand Final, Determination of Euskal entries for WV21, WHF8, WHF9.
Stay tuned for voting/info updates on this thread!

Random comments!
It seems this will be the very first year we'll have a monolingual or bilingual entry instead of the entries that feature lots of languages!
Sara Monkada, Jarrett Dortovitx and Cynthia Hebanova/Eli Jan should have qualified
Gosha Vargulina out of the competition? That's weird!
I thought this was the time for Anne Rénard, it seems it was not
Elissa Haira delivered a great show.. And her message of luck for Motza & Mitha worked out!

4 exact months after November 22, when the Grand Final of Euskal-Musika2 was held; the Grand Final of Euskal-Musika3 is going to start in a few minutes (at 17:22, Harrikes Time (UTC-7)). 10 acts are polishing the final details before presenting themselves. The polls are pointing at Donostia, the 2 Samira songs (with Jan and Haritz) and Hari Etsebaldián. Closely following, Devrim Guiness and Mala Ärlangga.

The draw was held yesterday in presence of the performing artists, with Hari receiving the wildcard, and choosing position number 3. The rest of the positions were determined with a draw, making clear that Samira would need two songs between hers (If one was performed on 4, the next one could be performed on either 1 or 7-10). The results of the draw were:

1 - CKY - Chérie - "Death is Out To Get You"
2 - EUS - Samira & Jan Ardegorrián - "The Call"
3 - EUS - Hari Etsebaldián - "Yes Këlam"
4 - EUS - Donostia - "Utertakattajaarpoq"
5 - CKY - Devrim Guiness - "The Difficulties"
6 - PHN - Motza & Mitha - "Ihida Alba"
7 - EUS - Ingerlaliinnaleqaagut - "Appakaappoq"
8 - EUS - Samira & Haritz - "Ixo Izan Es"
9 - ALB - Sam Pierson - "I Need You Now"
10 - MTR - Mala Ärlangga - "Non Vorès"

There were no major changes with any act; except for the languages of song number 4 and 10 (Donostia's Utertakattajaarpoq and Mala Ärlangga's Non Vorès) which now include Azerbaijani celebrating the future referendum of Azerxurade (an Incorporated state of Euskirribakondara) to determinate if it will be an official Euskal province, or an independent nation.

The show will kick off in 12 minutes... It will be broadcasted on:

EUSK Webcast (World)
ABA (Albertasby)
QEP (Phoenigetuzstha)
EUSK1 (Euskirribakondara, Crolacia, Mediterra)
EUSKWorld (Fledgling Region, Rushmore, Swilantis)

I didn't know you'd need the ISO letter codes for Mediterra, Euski. They are MI (2 letter) and MTR (3 letter)

I cannot comprehend why people hate Islam so much. Yes, some Muslims caused 9/11, but that doesn't mean all of them are terrible people. I have met many kind Islamic people. I think everyone just needs to accept other religions, because there is no proven "better" religion. That goes for Jewish people, too.

Honestly, can we just act a little human for once?

Oooops, sorry Mediterra... That has been corrected :). We already have the results, but they'll be announced tomorrow, hehe. I have to go to the recruiting thingy... (There's compulsory military service here in Colombia) for some exams and documents blah blah blah.

But we have the winners!!!! (And one surprise... the 4th place will represent Azerxurade in FR-Vision, hehe)
Stay tuned!

Uh, and Alby... Can one of the interval acts be Sofi Shahumyan singing "Yes Gitem" in English/French since those are your official languages?

WAIT A MINUTE! Do you realize that if Puerto Candelaria wins FR-Vision 1, it'll be the first time there are two songs with the same tune on one edition of WVSC???? Costa Fiero's entry (which has broken Spanish that is actually really funny, haha... Nice try, though) is in the same tune as Mebarak's "Por Siempre"

Give me a little bit of a break man. Spanish is only my third language (and I was quite pleased with the reception it's getting). My French is much better because I spent four years learning it as opposed to two.

I think the jury should vote for something else, seeing as I've already posted the song first.

That would be... interesting. You should probably send something else.

As for Costa Fiero's entry, most Swilatians don't speak Spanish, so they probably won't notice.

I like the second verse onwards with Lithuania, while Macedonia is just cool (don't know why, its like Austria, I like it for no apparent reason). And Kaliopi is looking good for 45!

Also, on the Spanish video, Pastora looks a bit like Voldermort O.o

Especially from that part it sounds like a Maltese entry! SO cheap!

Hrm, a little bit... far away.
