Just so all y'all know, the Festival will officially begin tomorrow (29 September 2011), as that's when I'll begin to sequence the performances into my RPs, but you are all now certainly welcome to begin RPing arrival / moving into the Tux Hotel / interacting / killing each other (don't get blood on my carpet!) <- That bit is sarcasm / whatever until tomorrow morning.
If you haven't signed up yet, feel free to do so (I'll take sign ups until the festival is over, for obvious reasons). If you have other characters you want to bring in without signing them up specifically, don't worry about filling out more forms; just have them show up.

After a recent success in rescuing a whopping 35 million sentient equines from chattel slavery, torture, and possible execution, the Administrative Council of the Nomadic Peoples of YellowApple has approved the first ever International Multicultural Festival to be held in the YellowApplan city of Torvaldsville. The festival will feature a number of both free and paid events and activities, the proceeds of which are to be used to recover from the multi-trillion-Slice payment required to liberate the aforementioned equine victims.
The festival will take place in the Linus Torvalds Memorial Park, a massive (1024 m2) green zone placed right in the heart of Torvaldsville. It is located adjacent to the Torvaldsville Institute of Technology, the Tux Hotel and Resort, and the Gnu Hurd International Marketplace, all of which will also be taking part in the International Multicultural Festival.
The International Multicultural Festival will feature the following activities and events:
- Live music and theatre performances and talent show (Linus Torvalds Memorial Park - Jack Performance Stage)
- International Multicultural Parade (Ubuntu Parkway, Debian Avenue, Haiku Boulevard, Red Hat Boulevard)
- Carnival attractions (rides, games, vendors) (Linus Torvalds Memorial Park)
- Torvaldsville International Street Fair (Gnu Hurd International Marketplace)
- Fashion exposition and beauty pageant (Linus Torvalds Memorial Park - Open Source Pavilion)
- Multicultural Art Exposition (Linus Torvalds Memorial Park - Open Source Pavilion)
- Torvaldsville International Ball (Tux Hotel and Resort)
- Torvaldsville "Pi" Eating Contest (Gnu Hurd International Marketplace - The Pi Shop)
