THE SOLIDARITY UNION OF NATIONS
The S.U.N.: A Brief History
Following the formation of the Delhi Pact, made by the long time antagonist to The Third Republic of China, Orostan, their close allies, the Humanitarian Collectivist States formed the Solidarty Union of Nations, in order to counter the growing strength of the Pact. Whilst it started out as loose union only meant to show allegiances, it quickly became a strong military alliance, with specific offering of free trade among member nations. As the Ottoman Empire came to align themselves with the Delhi Pact, the similarly anti-imperialist Stristia joined the S.U.N.
The Ideals of the Union
While it is home to a number of different styles of governance, the S.U.N. does have a few set in stone ideals that make it the Union it is today. Featuring prominently are anti-imperialism and pro-national sovereignty, member nations believe that the currently balance of power is what it is, and that any and all annexations should be diplomatic in nature, with agreements from all member states. And while the Union does not have a set economic ideology, with socialist and free market countries in it, the HCS, Third Republic, and Stristia are all major proponents of free trade.
