What I have noticed in my region is that while it takes literally hours to fully cure a nation (it becomes particularly frustrating towards the end since the cure rate is of approximately one million), but a handful of hordes can just utterly devastate your nation and kick over your hard work.

Your thoughts, my friends?

I agree that it can be bad, but if you notice the nations that are going zombie empire, you can make them not as effective.

Nonsense. It's meant to be difficult in the end. If you think of the cure missiles as an explosive ordinance, it makes more sense. Say you have 6 billion zombies in your nation and you detonate a missile. The impact will affect more zombies because there are more per square mile to be affected. When you get down to the last few hundred million zombies, your effectiveness reduces because the density of zombies is reduced. The missiles don't indicate how many regular humans were hit and were unaffected, which is why the numbers appear artificially lower.

Well my region started research before I started building a horde. Right now my zombies are maxing out at 7.1 million before dropping to 6.8 million and climbing again. It seems like it just depends on who gets the superweapon first. I'm not even getting hit with the cure and my numbers aren't rising. A few of the other nations in my region are completely Z free already.

Exactly. I keep tabs on who's doing what in my region. If someone popped in and started sending Hordes everywhere I'd throw them back to the rampage of TRR.

Not true. It could also mean that a region-mate is sending hordes upon hordes to your nation to piss you off.

The region of Spoiled Cats has just finished curing all zombies and having lost exactly zero citizens to the plague.
Things went much more smoothly this year without anyone trying to toss hordes against researcher nations.

Sounds like bad luck, (or more likely sabotage,) OP.

How can they be insanely overpowered when I can't even upgrade the ZomZom? Like in the game Plague, Inc. I feel they are grossly UNDERpowered, and deserve the option to upgrade!

That doesn't seem right.
Using between 2 and 4 nations at a time in my region we've cured three countries in less than two hours.

You think its bad now? I bet that next year, you'll get 1% per hour on the missiles, maximum, but hordes will get 200% per hour at minimum!

Considering that only two nations managed to overpower my region within minutes, yes.

I think that the biggest issue I saw was the Three-minute cooldown after having a horde used on you, which made it impossible for me or anyonele to aid eachother.

Mine had the exact opposite problem. We only had about 10 people there, and just 2 nations aeaily destroyed all of us.
