Why? There is already a way to opt-out, which is not participate at all. Ignore it, and it goes away in 36 hours. You don't even have to be online for it.

That's really silly. If you really enjoy Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., but once every season they run an episode where every actor is replaced by a trained shark, would you suggest just skipping that episode? Or would you write a polite letter to the producers?

So why are you still here? I've been following this thread since the beginning, and it's literally just repeating itself.

So what's the point of staying? You're not really convincing anyone who already didn't consider this, and there's an unlimited amount of people who don't care and/or disagree.

Are you waiting for God to descend from heaven into the thread and say, "You were right, Quilavaland, there should be an opt-out, go pat yourself on the back!"?

OK, well. I decided that it was utterly most important I post here. First thing's first- Sir, or Madam, OP of this thread, I inform you that there is an optional opt-out preinstalled to NS-Z. The opt-out's button? No button- you simply refuse to look at the NS-Z stats and such, and refuse to press one of those big shiny buttons that say 'cure', 'kill', or 'infect'. I know it's tempting to press big shiny buttons, but just ignore them for 3, short, days, and it's all over. Bam batta-boom.
As for your grandmother, I'd advise calling her and informing her of this Halloween event and it's temporary status. Nonetheless, happy Halloween!

But I know those numbers are happening out there somewhere in a server. Maybe I'm overly sensitive but there are other sensitive people too. I'm just imagining the zombie Quilavas as being cute and happy rather than diseased or dead, to try and get myself through this. But others might not have such a nice mental solution.

Honestly, way to make a complaint over nothing. I know some Australian Greens supporters have a habit of doing that but, seriously.

If you don't like imagining big bad zombies eating your cutie race of people, then my advice is too cover your eyes, or just ignore it happening. You are under no obligation to play it as NS canon, in effect, there is a way to opt-out, you just don't need to press a button to do it.

The moderators are probably doing you a favour by saving you the trouble of needing to click one, I would advice spending more time complaining about issues that are actually going to be of importance to you personally. (Tip: This is pretty low on scale of importance)

You, as the breathers, get to play host to millions of your citizens (if not billions) getting involved in a lengthy cultural festival. Sort of like Carnival meets Day of the Dead, meets International Hug a Zombie Day. Some people are going to tell you that it's a symbolic protest against consumerism, but for us it's all about the hugging.
