NEW HAVENTON -- Health officials in New Haventon have confirmed the first case of the mutated MAV-1, after it was assumed to be eradicated year ago after an extensive international effort, and ordeal which had claimed millions of lives during its peak in October 2013. Charles Breen, the patient, is currently in critical condition at Central District Hospital, and under heavy guard by both the New Haventon Police Department, as well as the Domestic Security and Defence Agency. While officials say that Breen is safely under quarantine, officials fear he may have come in contact with others prior to his arrival at the hospital. "We remind everyone who may have come in contact with the individual in question to seek medical attention immediately, regardless of symptoms," says the Minister of Health Patty Holmes. "This virus is extremely deadly, and must be treated with extreme caution."

Breen was on an international flight from The North Pacific when he fell ill halfway through the journey to The Pacific. As his plane entered Trelatche airspace, it was forced to land at Pearson Memorial Int'l Airport this morning, after experiencing high fevers and chills during the final segment of the flight. He was transported to Maris Beach's General Hospital, before being transferred to New Haventon's Central District Hospital, where he remains under intensive care. "At this time we don't see his condition improving, and we can only hope that we will find a cure for this virus." says the hospital's director, Steve Robins. "The biggest fear I have is that he is not the only patient out there, and that there may be virus carriers still in the general public." Since its discovery, airports at Empire City, Maris Beach, New Haventon, and Mediete have started screening inbound passengers for signs of the virus. The Trelatchean Armed Forces have also mobilized in the event of civil unrest in major urban areas.

The virus, classified within Trelatche as MAV-1, was one of the fastest spreading diseases, and the deadliest at the time of its discovery, leading to almost certain mortality for those that had contracted the virus. Patients who had the disease also suffered from mental instability and decaying body parts, often times attacking people, unprovoked. Worldwide, the death toll reached the billions, as government scrambled to find a cure to beat the pandemic.

Despite this, the Ministry of Health says there is no cause for concern at the moment, though all citizens and travellers are advised that they should maintain proper hygiene, such as using sanitizers, and frequent hand washing. The Ministry of Health also reminds those that feel unwell, or have come in contact with unstable person(s) over the past few days to seek medical attention immediately, and advise local law enforcement.

After the apparent destruction of the sizable yet isloated town of New Actium to victims of the disease that has been popularized as "Vivens Mortua", the Imperial government has issued a state of emergency, declaring martial law. The Imperial Army has also issued the "Ultimum Castellum" protocol, immediately recalling all expendable soldiers deployed outside of the Imperial Provinces. The Imperial Army has already locked down the New Rome area, with the Imperial Guard having set up checkpoints at 20-mile intervals along the highway through the valley.

The Imperial Armed Forces have deployed across the country, evacuating urban centers that cannot be secured. The region surrounding New Actium is under immediate priority evacuation. The city itself is being tactically bombed by Imperial Air Force assets.

The death toll is currently at a shocking 1.67 million, the region near New Actium hosting over 26,000 members of the Imperial Armed Forces, 2,000 Lex Exigeretur officers, and 6,000 Imperial Guardsmen fighting desperately to contain the outbreak. Reports from the front are claiming to be unsuccessful.

The Imperator and the Imperial Government including the Senior Councillum have been evacuated to an undisclosed location, according to the Imperita Palatia, now commanded by the second in command of the Praetorian Guard, Tribunus Caetius.

The Lex Exigeretur of the regions nearer to New Actium report extreme difficulty in containing the civilian populace- looting and lawlessness are on the rise, and Tactical Response Units are constantly on call in the area to quell disputes.

In addition to martial law, the Imperator has closed the borders of the Imperial Provinces. The Imperial Navy has orders to engage and destroy any civilian or military vessel that enters Legatian waters. So far, the Imperial Navy has reported to have sunk 14 ships, mainly civilian, attempting to enter the waters of Legatia. As well as shutting down public transit and international transport, the Imperial Government has shut down domestic airflights, shutting down airports and cancelling all flights.

Legatian Imperial Guard units not occupied with securing important locations or keeping order are distributing supplies to citizens as much as possible- food, clothing, survival equipment, et cetera.

"This is crazy, man;" said a Legatian citizen from the town of Brusindium, a town 76 miles from New Actium. "I never would have believed it, this is a nightmare!"

The Imperial Armed Forces Logistics and Informational Support division is undergoing two projects- a current one to develop zombie-resistant armor, and another to develop a cure for the disease. Though these projects are costly, emergency funding has been received to push them through.

"These two projects, in addition to gathering supplies to fund the resistance, is our top priority." An official from LIAFLIS said. "Combating the living dead is our top priority. We'll pull through this. As a country, as a whole."

Today in the capital city of Hayabusa, a young (19 year old) teenager showed symptoms of a slight fever when he went to his first class at the high-end Edenguard University, one of the premier places to learn anything of your choice in the entire world. He reportedly had a cough, some sneezing, and frequent bloody noses, of which he had to take care of during class so he could continue taking notes before the study period for finals was given to them. Many students reported thay he had cane in contact with other people directly, and had used the public bathrooms and water fountains available to everyone in the University itself. As reported by his Advanced History teacher, his face started to turn color and he began literally chewing on his wrist during his class period, and was then sent down to the nurses office to get help with both the face issue and the bleeding wrist that he had caused himself to acquire. Nurse Alicia Tremel said that when she attempted to put gauze around his wrist, he flinched and almost bit her wrist too in the process, and he continued after thay, proceeding to tackle the assistant nurse and fatally bite her neck, and when Alicia and 2 other nurses had ran out, he pulled the other two down and dragged them back into the room, where screaming was heard promptly after that event. The one nurse (Ms. Tremel) who managed to escape claimed to not come in contact at all with the crazed teenager, but she was still asked to make her way back in to the building where everyone else who could possibly have the strain was contained. Hayabusan scientists and doctors have records of extremely minor and low key occurrences of the sickness (codenamed Z-731) where people were known to bite and bleed themselves to death randomly, and return from the dead for about 3 seconds, but never anything like this, where someone who was surely contaminated with Z-731 was attacking other people. Tanks and infantry have blockaded all entrances and exits leading to and from Edenguard University, following Quarantine Protocol Level 3, as the suspected method of spreading is both direct and indirect contact, and if the one guy was using public services, then other people using it may have been contaminated as well. A Hayabusan SAS team has deployed itself into the building, attempting to hunt down and execute the crazed and infected young man to prevent him from killing or spreading the disease any more than he already has. Once that is done, the team's commander has told us that their orders are to seperate people into the large sectors of the Campus, such as the gymnasium, the courtyard, the band room, and places like that, and literally shoot anyone who begins biting themselves or attempting to attack others, and move those who are showing symptons of sickness away from everyone else. Expert scientists, doctors, and plague specialists have only found that the way to neutralize the virus is to kill it's host, but they have stated that it was a very inhumane way to deal with something like this, and a better method of curing and recovery must be found before Z-731 spreads exponentially. Predicted time span for a cure besides neutralization of host is November 1, maybe earlier, maybe later. More will follow as the story at Edenguard University unfolds.

In a last ditch attempt to support the containment effort of the region near New Actium, the Imperator authorized the Legatian Imperial Air Force to drop a single ADTNW-IV tactical nuclear bomb on the overrun city of New Actium.

"It was a last ditch attempt. New Actium was already overrun, and in order to ensure the safety of the rest of Legatia, we did it." The Legatus Legionis in command of the operations noted. This afternoon, laboratory tests from North Shore Hospital in Campbell City confirmed that the recent outbreak in the Westham area are none other than the Exanimis zombie virus. Health officials confirmed six laboratory confirmed cases have been isolated and airlifted to Campbell City for special treatment. One of these patients, a forty-six year old man, had to be euthanized for the safety of hospital staff after stage three symptoms set in.

The execution was held 2 hours ago in a lab at an undisclosed location. The subjects were disinfected, then gassed with carbon dioxide.

Scientists have experimented on the corpses and found shocking results.

"It seems that the subjects have rather odd brain functions", stated Medical Unit A7735F when asked by reporters. "They appear to contain traces of a strange protein that is somehow able to mutate quickly. This could be the first wave of a zombie infection." 'Zombie' Virus starts to appear in Ammerinia,
Troops scrambled across the country, Scientists struggle to find cure

Today at Point Vogus in the Outer Regions of Nemlock, a 21 year old man crossed the border from ROV into Ammerinia, and then reported feeling nauseous and extremely tired at moments after checking in at the Border Office. He then passed out on the spot and was then picked up by emergency crews. The only known people that came in contact with him that day were the Border Officers and a clerk at a small hardware store. Then it was revealed that that he was infected with the ZE-D 00015 Virus that had been known as the "Zombie" Virus. Up until now it has yet to appear in Ammerinia, though it still popped up in a few neighboring countries. Officials say that he has been quarantined and put in Emergency Stasis. The Infection in Point Vogus has escalated since his Emergency Stasis however, as several infected personnel were sighted in the same area. The entire area is now under Military lockdown and Special Operatives are moving in to secure the area. SpecOps have also reportedly open fired on an infected man near the very hardware store where the immigrant came in.
The Government has declared a quarantine around the entire country, having nobody leave or arrive in the country, except for emergency personnel.

Government Officials have reported that the first Necrosis virus-infected individuals have been admitted to Saint Maria's Medical University Research Facility in New Benos, Kali. A native Klishi Islander, 18 year old Benjamin Martin reportedly came to Kali four days ago from his home island of New Benedrome in the Western Klishi Islands. Doctors say that he likely contracted the disease at least a week ago, speculating that he flew to Skappola in order to take advantage of the free Healthcare to treat his condition.

This simply supports our belief here at BTN that Klishi Islanders SHOULD NOT be allowed to sully Skappola land any longer until their government agrees to stop their dirty migrants from flooding into our coasts and spreading their disease! The ONLY safe option for the people of Skappola is to cut off all immigration to Skappola from the Islands and force their expatriates to live in their OWN land.

The Klishi Islands Federal Council: General Jonathan Von Gupten, Department of Defense, Law Enforcement, and Intelligence

Due to a particularly slow day in the DoDLEI, I decided to catch up on the trending international news a little bit. I was shocked to see that one of Skappola's primary news agencies, BTN, has published yet another inflammatory piece criticizing the Klishi Islands. While this in itself is unremarkable- last week they published an blatantly false article titled "The KIFC: All Your Nukes R Belong 2 Us, Skappolan Devils,"- this one has blamed the Klishi Islands for the recent introduction of the Necrosis Virus into Skappola. Again, because the department had a particularly slow day, I decided to fact-check this article. Below is a list of errors, inconsistencies, or oddities I have found.

-First, the author appears to have admitted to the murder of seven Klishi Islanders. This appears to be similar to the seven bodies found in a hotel room in Sheldonopolis two months ago, identified by DNA evidence to be Klishi Island citizens. I stress that we did not find full bodies- only a couple limbs were found, along with several internal organs and a gallon of blood, found in an urn. Any other remains were the size of a chicken nugget or smaller, and appeared to have been minced with a blade. This massacre appeared to have been a dead end, but I have ordered the Klishi Islands Intelligence Service to reopen the case, given the new evidence that has come to light.

-All information in the next paragraph is correct, but two clarifications are needed. First, the boy, Benjamin Martin, was actually in Klishi People with his father when he contracted the disease. It has been known for at least a week now that the disease originated as a biological experiment by the objectively insane government there. Second, he did not fly to Skappola for treatment for Necrosis, because the symptoms only manifested themselves two days ago. The Department of Health and Welfare has asked me to remind everyone that the Klishi Islands also has a Universal Health Care Program.

-The next three paragraphs should have been filed under "editorial." The author advocates closing borders to the Klishi Islands, and forcing expats out. This not only violates Clause 16 of the Skappola/Klishi Islands Free Trade Agreement of 1974, concerning the movement of citizens between the two countries, but would also destroy a large amount of the $KD7,000,000,000,000 trade between the two nations. Furthermore, the Skappolan Board of Directors and KIFC have never worked together better than today, and the diplomatic relations between the two nations is at a high point. Destruction of these valuable relations can only lead to less inter-regional cooperation in handling the Necrosis Crisis. Finally, their claim that the Klishi Islands has the lowest intelligence "that they have surveyed" is misleading, due to the fact that in their last survey, they interviewed seventy-seven Skappolan professors and eighty-two random Klishi Islanders that they found at a mental facility.

I hope that this sheds light on some of the falsifications made by BTN. Only the spread of objective information can help to contain this outbreak.

Zed Outbreaks lead to new ZCOM Initiative

Civilain Overwatch Officers attempting to quell the outbreak

Following minor outbreaks in the outer quaratine zones, Civilian Overwatch Officers were shocked to discover an infestation brewing within Stratov, one of the Confederacy's most populated cities. It is estimated that roughly 400 individuals were infected with the enigmatic virus when a reanimated individual fell into one of the city's district water supplies. The infestation went unnoticed, even after the remains were retrieved, as the reanimated subject was simply believed to be a mentally handicapped homeless man. The current whereabouts of this individual are unknown. Reanimated subjects quickly overtook much of the district, resulting in an estimated 600 deaths and 1,200 injuries, with 258 individuals currently in critical condition.

Despite the rapid mobilization of the Overwatch Riot Division, the outbreak continued until nearly 11 A.M, the next morning. All infected individuals were contained and terminated, according to policies established by the DRCD following the previous outbreak. It is unknown if any officers were injured or killed during the battle, as City Police Commissar Julian Kerrie provided no comment. While witnesses have been asked to remain silent regarding the incident, an anonymous source told our reporter the following:

"It was absolute chaos. The Overwatch was shooting and beating down anyone that looked like a zed. The situation in Point Vogus has escalated since last week. The CBI says the Zeds have grown in number, now reaching over 70.

The entire city is under Military Lockdown, as well as some surrounding towns. ZOCOM Operatives are now authorized to open fire on Zeds, and any survivors will be shipped out of the city and put under quarantine, until they have been evaluated as a non-infected individual. The Military has also deployed helicopters and VTOLs to scout the city and eliminate any remaining Zeds. The amount of Zeds killed remains unknown, but is estimated to be about a quarter the amount of infected individuals. The Government has declared a Class-1 Biohazard at this time. The Emperor is yet to make an official statement.
