Our research institutes stand ready to begin work on a cure for baseline humans and our army is ready to 'deal with' any threat to the republic.

For the duration of this crisis all ships that do not submit to customs inspections and refuse to reverse course after such a refusal will be treated as hostile and all necessary measures will be taken to contain any threat they present, consider this your only warning.

Refugees from doomed worlds will be directed to uninhabited garden type worlds for quarantine and supplied with food , water and basic shelter while they are tested for signs of infection.

Doomed or dead worlds that present a threat to the republic shall be cleansed by the most expedient means possible upon confirmation of their status.

We've given instructions to our citizens to lock down their houses, stockpile food and supplies, and arm themselves to the teeth. There's no way the zombies are going to get to us whilst we're prepared. They do not know what the impending disaster is, many think we are being invaded by another nation, and question why we are instructing them to stay safe rather than stay and fight. The concept of zombies is unheard of in Merconitonitopia.
