The Commonwealth of Columbia is a small nation of only 2.4 Million, located in the Hala'ib Triangle (including Bir Tawil). Founded in 2001 by a group of like minded Americans after the election of George Bush, the once progressive nation with skyrocketing immigration has turned into an incarnation of the very state from which it fled. Made of up people from all over the world, a majority of the population come from Africa and the Middle East though they are the most disenfranchised. June 2001 - Group of Billionaires move to Bir Tawil, they sign an agreement with the Sudanese and Egyptian governments to maintain control of the territory.
July 2001 - The founders open the border to a select group of American workers to begin building infrastructure. Population reaches 3,000.
October 2006 - Jamestown is completed though relatively small.
December 2006 - Founders open borders to corporations, and only tax them 2.5% with a minimum wage of $5/hour. Population reaches 7,000.
May 2007 - Jamestown is expanded. Founders come to an agreement with the Egyptians and Sudanese to attain control of the Hala'ib triangle, construction on new city in Hala'ib begins. More workers invited, population reaches 20,000.
January 2011 - New city is completed; named Oasis.
May 2011 - James Andrews is elected president, by founders;
July 2011 - Andrews opens borders, but only though the cost of citizenship is only affordable for the wealthy. Population reaches 35,000.
November 2011 - The founders vote to eliminate citizenship cost, though citizenship test are instituted which allow for easier selection of "preferred" immigrants.
January 2012 - Population reaches 80,000; majority college educated whites from the United States and Europe.
August 2012 - Founders adopt open border policy; majority of the immigrants come from Africa and the middle east, as well as American minorities.
September 2012 - Population reaches 176,000. Constitution Established. Several political parties arise in the wake of the inaugural elections. The Pioneer Party, who represents the interest of the founders and elites; the Progressive Party, who represent the working class; and the Radical Left, who represent the younger generation.
December 2012 - First election are held; Pioneers wins Presidency with Andrews as candidate, and the Senate with Dakota Douglas as leader.
January-June 2013 - Population reaches 465,000.Senate passes several pro-business laws, disenfranchising the growing working class. Number of corporations grows from 8 to 23. A gorup African-Americans found a new community called Freetown in Southwest Hala'ib. Two new cities are approved by the government; one in Bir Tawil and one in Hala'ib.
July 2013- Deadly sandstorm kills nearly 1,000 people; Andrews and government does little in relief efforts.
November 2014 - Nazi Terrorist group calling themselves the Peoples Front, led by a man who goes by The General, launches an attack at a sporting even and kills 432 people.
December 2014 - Andrews wins reelection; Progressive take control of Senate.
January-March 2015 - Progressives and RLUF pass several key bills including a National Healthcare Bill, making healthcare more affordable, and a Education bill, establishing standards and guidelines for Columbian schools. Much of Andrews agenda is blocked due to little power of the President.
April 2015 - Columbia is recognized by the United States, Canada, Australia, Japan, and France.
October 2015 - Sofia Church, a Progressive Senator, authors a bill that sets high regulations on firearms; bill passes 192-108.
January-May 2016 - Number of corporation grows from 23 to 39, influx in wealthy immigrants. Population reaches 1.6 million.
June 2016 - Columbia Recognized by United Kingdom, Spain, China, and South Africa.

So in this RP you will play as Senator, Mayor, member of Cabinet, or any other profession, and you will be trying to either take control or maintain control depending on which party you choose. You can create your own party if that's what you want to do, and you cant control up to three characters. You're also able to control foreign leaders as well but they cant be your primary character.
