Dr. Bronstein entered the room on the top floor where Jack O'Neil Romero was there waiting to be questioned. As Dr. Bronstein after entering went towards to the opposite side of table when he slapped Romero straight in the head and using both hands pressing Jack's head against the table. A screech of pain began to enter Jack's mind

"Are you funding illegal experiments in Little Odessa?! You tell me the truth and I will let go of your damn head!", Dr, Bronstein said, threatening Jack O'Neil Romero pressing firmly on the back of his head pushing downward on the table.

"You don't understand! The people that are conducting those experiments are not the kind of people you say no to! I received another call from them! Some border jumper in a lab coat stuck his nose where it did not belong and I had 24 hours to nip that problem in the bud! I never meet them directly and their voice was too distorted to be tracked or identified! Don't bother trying to find the intermediaries! These fuckers don't take chances! Tell your bosses what I said and get the hell out of OGC!" Jack said in a painful voice before a Physcoarrow hit him in the back of the neck, killing him.

Dr. Bronstein went to the com system to speak to the security guard below in a panicky voice, "We have an emergency up here. Jack has been killed by a Physcarrow. Did you see anyone who it could be? Is my ride here yet because I gotta get outta here?!"

"Don't worry. Your ride's ready. Security feed was distorted by the necklace worn by the masked assailant. You best get out of here just in case the killer comes back for you. Don't worry about Romero escaping justice. Once his ill doings become public knowledge, the cops will seize his assets and Ingsoc Industries will get it for free." The police chief said as he continued to look over the security feed.

"Thanks. It's nice know I can count on someone in the police force. Curious but anyways thanks.", Dr. Bronstein replied, as he left to catch his ride which was down the road not far away from his present location.

A few miles down the road was his ride and got in. The driver turned around to take a look. Dr. Bronstein spoke, "Get me to Nikolai "Siberian Bull" Chekov now. I need to talk to him ASAP. Where is Ingsoc Industries CEO Sir Alfred Grimes III anyway too? Kinda absent he has not been seen in days. Not sure when the last time I saw him. Hope he has not gone missing or anything."

"Nikolai has sent a hit squad to deal with anyone that could be waiting for you. The Romanov Lounge is the headquarters of the Icy Angels of Vengeance, so you won't have to worry about being spotted by anyone they don't want to be in the building. We can stop at Benny's Café, but once your lunch break is over, you will have to get back in the car. Nikolai "Siberian Bull" Chekov does not like it when people don't show up to a meeting with him. He will be waiting for you in the champagne room." The driver said as the car entered the parking lot of Benny's Café.

The Romanov Lounge

Postby Odinburgh » Sun Oct 09, 2016 8:39 am

After learning it would be safe for him to go to The Romanov Lounge, Dr. Bronstein entered and headed towards the champagne room where Nikolai "Siberian Bull" Chekov was waiting at a table. A waiter came by to take an order which both ordered a glass of champagne. The waiter left and Nikolai folded his arms waiting for Dr. Bronstein to say something.

"We are deep in trouble sir. Jack's dead sir. Killed with a physoharrow while I was questioning him. All he said he received another call from them. He said it was border jumper in a lab coat sniffed in a place where it did not belong and he had 24 hours to deal with that problem. Jack never explained what the problem was but his voice seemed distorted so he couldn't be tracked or identified. That's what Jack said to me of this mystery person. Sounds like bad news and someone is moving in on our turf.", Dr. Bronstein replied.

Arkawa came into The Romanov Lounge and sat at a nearby table. Dr. Bronstein noticed him sitting nearby but tried hard not to let Nikolai get signals that another associate was in the lounge. Dr. Bronstein whispered to Arakawa as Nikolai got up to go to the restroom. "You better get out of here or you will get killed. Its not safe."

"Oh the mystery man. I heard he was here in the Romanov Lounge. Got a call and told me to meet him here.", Arakawa answered. "He has a name which I can't remember but he is real prominent figure in OGC and backed by lots of money."

"Your ignoring Oda. He will hang you for this. You are setting us up for death in this lounge.", Arakawa whispered loudly, as Nikolai soon returned. "My advice get out of here now. Forget the meeting with the mystery man. He is not real. Only a fraud sonny."

"The "border jumper in a lab coat" was Doctor Juan Salvador." Nikolai "Siberian Bull" Chekov said as an unidentified car crashed into the building and several Ronin rushed out, killing anyone who got to close to the vehicle. "That call from the mystery man was the bait and you walked into the trap. His employers must have hired half the Ronin in East Village for this surprise attack. The thing about mercenaries is that they will run away once things get too close for comfort, so these Ronin won't be a problem if we kill enough of them." Nikolai said to Arakawa as his men began returning fire.

One of the Ronins jumped on Dr. Bronstein and yelled in his face as another was closing on another to push him toward Arakawa against the wall. The Ronin unleashed a knife from his belt and jabbed it into Dr. Bronstein's chest.

"This is for you betraying us. The day has come that OGC will be taken over by the Ronins.", the Ronin shouted.

Arakawa launched over after breaking away to grab the Ronin and turning the knife against the Ronin's chest. In short second it entered straight through his heart. The Ronin fell over to one and the other Ronin's left The Romanov Lounge. Arakawa looked around the Ronin's body which pulled out a walled which inside was an address located on the other side of town and picture of a man he did not recognize.

Dr. Bronstein looked at the picture which recognized the person, "Billy Soprano. Oh no that guy you killed was his son!"

Arakawa remarked, "Billy Soprano died long ago and left his fortune to an heir but it was never promised to his son. Mister Chekov you have any thoughts on this?"

"Billy Soprano's son would never stoop that low. Ronin are the scum of the earth as far as small time hoodlums are concerned. They have no allegiance to anyone but themselves, no ambition outside the empty promises of their employers, they wear no colors or insignias, every group of Ronin is a loose coalition of individuals that will turn on each other like a pack of ravenous wolves at the first opportunity, they answer only to the highest bidder, and they show nothing but disregard for the taboos people in our line of work hold sacred. Dr. Bronstein will be escorted to his apartment by my bodyguards. Now, if you will excuse me, I have cops to bribe and purchase orders to fill out. Getting the Romanov Lounge squared away in time for the dinner with the investors coming in from Tokyo is going to put a huge dent in my bank accounts." Nikolai "Siberian Bull" Chekov said to Arakawa as he motioned for him and Bronstein to leave.

Anyways we need to keep our heads high. Something's weird is going on here for sure.", Arakawa replied. "Anyways I am out of here. "Nope. These guys do not like gang violence. It scares off potential customers. Anyone who wants their money has to be on their best behavior this week." "Most likely. A Ronin will do anything to get ahead in whatever counts as a hierarchy in their "clique". Now get out of here. I've got a mess to clean up." Nikolai "Siberian Bull" Chekov said as a member of the hit squad he sent to Bronstein's home entered the building. "Anyone who was in the apartment must have ran off before we got there. Nothing of value was stolen and the place hasn't been ransacked or booby trapped, but they could have planted a bug on one of the electronics. The hacker we brought with us is looking for anything out of the ordinary, but Bronstein is in no immediate danger." The gun toting punk said as he shot a crippled Ronin who was playing possum while his comrades were being slaughtered. He was right about Bronstein being in no danger. Ever since wire taps and other listening devices became purely digital, any professional with the right equipment could detect them for the right price. Even if the apartment was not bugged, the hacker would detect any Trojans, Spyware, or computer viruses the intruder may have uploaded.

Konya Arisa of Toyko International Bank & Investments happened to show up at a interesting time. "Nikolai I paid off the police to get out of here. I just got wind these men posing as Ronin are not really Ronin. They do not like gang violence but apparently they upset the Brass Cobras in some way. Not sure what but this was a setup to ignite a gang civil war on the streets. Luckily that was averted tonight. The Shard Street Crew may be willing to help you Icy Angels from what I hear for a price. Something hints at the O'Malley Family may behind this or maybe the Peachwood Meadow Bloods which I've wants payback desperately.", she exclaimed, as she looked at Nikolai. "It's going to get bad soon. I can supply you with the money to get the weapons you need to keep this situation under control but time is running out. Deal or no deal? So are you in?"

Kegan awoke at the same black colored ceiling that he always does. Bleak and cold were his first thoughts of life in this city. He didn't understand why, but it make him feel at ease, this cold city. It was so much different than his outward appearance. His crimson red hair stood out in this city. There was nothing he could do besides walk around and buy groceries without a disguise, even this proved to draw attention to himself. "Well I guess I should get up." Kegan said looking over at the meager rays of light peeking through his window blinds as if the above the clouds the sun was fading away into nothing. Kegan slowly pushed himself up looking over at the set of workout equipment, he began his daily routine. From waking up he would workout for an hour and then go on a slight jog with some sprints and obstacles. After that he would eat breakfast and walk around the city to gather information for two hours. It seemed like a normal day of a normal person out for a walk. He then went home and turned on the news for thirty minutes. "Well then I guess I should get going." He said to himself as he turned off the tv. He proceeded to go to his room and change. He put on all black clothes that fit well around his body. He then put on his hooded cloak and mask. The three red marks on the bottom right marked him, showed his true colors. It was his strength of anonymity, also his weakness of it being found. Everyone would know who he really was. However, he hid it well and never invited anyone over.

Kegan walked down the stairs from his second story house. Luckily these stairs went through an alley that was always empty and out of view from the street. There was still a few hours of daylight left. This was one of the few contracts that happened during the day. Sticking to the shadows was pretty much a requirement as being seen in this would, no doubt, draw attention. Twenty minutes of walking through alleys, Kegan arrived to a bar, this is where a lot of freelancers drank at looking for work and perspective employers came to look for those in need of good cash and a quick job. Kegan nodded at the bartender and walked straight towards one of the small rooms that were open. He sat there for a few minutes and ordered two triple shots of whiskey. Moments later the bartender came with his alcohol and closed the door. Kegan say there waiting for his contact to show up to give him the info on a job.

Nikolai "Siberian Bull" Chekov said as a member of the hit squad he sent to Bronstein's home entered the building. "Anyone who in the apartment must have ran off before we got there.

"Deal. If someone wants to plunge this city back into anarchy, then everyone needs to get ready for the coming storm. Basil, my consigliere if you can call him that, has been sent to hire a "deniable asset" named Kegan to deal with a group of small hoodlums from Baltimore who are selling dope in the business district without giving me a cut of the profit." Nikolai said as he finished his half-empty glass of vodka, his men continuing to load bodies into the dump trucks outside. Every gang in the city knew that the truce would not last forever, but only a few of the bigwigs in the criminal underworld knew how bad the turf wars were going to get.

"Keegan is the one that may save this city. End feuds between gangs. If he doesn't then we are all screwed. Anyways I have to get going. You safe you here. I heard rumors that the US National Guard may be sent in if the OGC crisis doesn't improve and we don't want that. My job is pay off the US military to get them off your backs by flashing a nice cash deal in their faces.", Konya Arisa replied, as she flashed a dollar bill in front of Nikolai's face. "After all the US military is greedy and its what got them into trouble in the past which surely work again in the present. May the odds be in our favor."

"Of course the odds are going to be in our favor. The National Guard hasn't entered the city limits since the late 1990's and they ain't gonna be a problem nowadays, especially if you consider how fast a crisis can end in Obsidian Gargoyle City. However, before you leave, there is one thing I must tell you about Kegan. That motherfucker doesn't give a fuck about the bigger picture." Nikolai "Siberian Bull" Chekov said as the janitor began cleaning up the bloodstained shattered glass, the last of the bodies having been removed.

Basil Introduces Himself

Postby Flarbinia » Fri Oct 14, 2016 12:25 pm

Greco's Cantina. Little Italy
"Mr. Jason. I have a business proposition for you if you are interested. If you are not, I can go back to my penthouse and wait for your response." Basil said in his native accent as he approached Kegan, the scent of olive oil and the white business suit making him stand out from the greasers and bikers that frequented the place. Greco quietly poured a glass of his finest wine, poured a glass of his best Tequila, poured both glasses into a bigger glass, and shook the glass. The small time hoodlums in the bar went back to their business, ignoring Basil in order to avoid ending up disemboweled and mutilated like Paranoid Tortuga.

Kegan looked over the new arrival. "Well you sure took your time getting here, though I'm sure you had your reasons, not my part to ask those reasons." Kegan said before taking a sip from his whiskey. "Now then what is the job? I shall ask for more details afterwords." He said as he looked the man in the eyes.

"A bunch of small time hoodlums from Baltimore are selling dope in the business district of Little Odessa without paying Nikolai "Siberian Bull" Chekov his cut. He wants you to eliminate the completion by any means necessary. Word on the street is that the new guys are doing this on their own. You get forty million upfront, the other half when the job is done, and double if you make them suffer. These guys will either be leaving OGC in a box or limping all the way back to Baltimore. Children will laugh at their mangled faces. Women will avoid them. Cops will have to dig up their dental records to identify their corpses. Plastic surgeons won't be able to keep their lunches down while trying to fix their disfigured mugs. Their families will have to buy a porcelain mask so that they can have an open casket funeral without giving people a heart attack. Every gangbanger and drug dealer that looks at them will think twice about crossing the Icy Angels of Vengeance." Basil "The Lithuanian" Vazgelevicius said as he gulped down his drink and slid the briefcase full of money to "Mr. Jason".

Kegan looked at the money in the briefcase. "Oh is that all?" He said smiling. "I'll capture them all and have them kill each other for me. How does this sound? Half die, and the majority kills the minority of them to survive. Then I beat the winners until they are disfigured." He continued as he finished his whiskey. "Shall we use your cleaners or mine for this? My cleaners need to be paid five thousand for every body they take care of. Also forget what my face looks like after this. Can't have anyone from this side of my life knowing it."
